“Create healthy habits, not restrictions” We already have enough restrictions right now, hey? We really don’t need any more of of that. Focus on being healthier, rather than healthy. It’s always a work in progress. For most, there’s always room for improvement whether it’s quitting smoking, cutting down coffee, moving to a more plant based diet. If you have health conditions, then don’t focus on the things that you must avoid, focus on the things that improve your health and enjoy experimenting with them. I have a caffeine intolerance, so I cannot consume caffeine without becoming unwell. Tea, coffee and even chocolate 🍫 all needed to be removed from my diet. At first it was a challenge and I thought I would miss coffee. But now I have a mee ritual -a glass of water in the morning, herbal teas and vitamin b complex. Honestly, I feel healthier for it. I no longer have acne, my body weight has stabilised and I sleep better. I will write another post about caffeine’s impact to the body, but for now it’s just an example. New year is fast approaching, and it’s a great opportunity to start over with new goals and aspirations.
