#He's helping Max get in a date in the worst way possible

Steve’s best relationship wasn’t even a relationship. He could barely call it a fling, a flirt. They never even went on a date. They never kissed.
Steve still thinks of it as the best whatever-it-is he has ever had with someone.
At the beginning it was mostly infuriating, how quickly Eddie managed to win the kids over, compared to Steve’s months of work as babysitter/nailbat swinger/monster fighter. Steve had to literally bleed multiple times to get an ounce of respect, Eddie only had to run a nerdy club about fictional bleeding and monster-fighting.
Then somehow, and Steve still has trouble pinpointing when and how it happened, everything changed.
Taking the kids back home from hellfire became something he impatiently waited for.
He and Eddie would barely talk for a few minutes and he would find himself replaying the conversation in his head for days. Anything he could say to get a reaction out of Eddie became fundamental, and if he started by picking subjects to piss him off, he ended learning about Eddie’s favorites, because few minutes after hellfire were never enough and Steve needed Eddie to talk as much as possible, until the kids were begging to drop it and go home.
Steve never questioned the change, most likely out of fear. He doesn’t think he ever was clueless, just really scared about what would potentially mean to be staring at another dude’s eyelashes as he goes on a rant about why Ozzy Osbourne is the best artist of his generation. Or blush whenever said dude would call him “baby”, or “sweetheart”.
Steve convinced himself that the thing he and Eddie were having was as good as it was going to get, nothing more.
Then Chrissy Cunningham died, Eddie ran, and Steve realized that the thing will never be enough for him.
He couldn’t not have Eddie. Not watch him as he entertains a bunch of freshmen, as he stomps with his worn out sneakers on top of forniture, as he puts his terrible music on to push away anyone who doesn’t care enough about him to stay.
Steve needed to see Eddie being alive, doing what his heart desires, and he needed to be next to him when he does.
Obviously, this realization came at the worst possible time.
Steve tried to tell him so many times: when they found him at the boathouse, when he was hiding at refer Rick’s house, when they were taking a stroll in the upside down, and even when they were driving a stolen trailer to a gunshop.
But, it seemed, Eddie had come to a realization just as important and he tried his best to avoid Steve at every given chance.
Steve tried to initiate the conversation as Eddie did his best to run away from it. And he ran until Steve had no chances left to tell him how he actually felt.
———
Steve doesn’t know if he’s allowed to say he lost something he never had. To mourn a relationship he never began. A partner that, technically, never became a partner.
After Eddie dies, Steve has no one to be next to but he can’t say he ever did.
Steve just exists waiting. He can’t tell if he’s waiting for the pain to go away or for Eddie to jump out of a bush and yell “ah! I got you sucker!! By the way, I’m in love with you too.”
For obvious reasons, that never happens.
What does happen, is a call.
It’s a normal Tuesday, as normal as you could define it after Hawkins almost collapsed into the upside down. Steve got into a routine, between checking on the ones at the hospital, helping out at the shelter, allowing Robin to check on him to see if he’s still alive.
The call happens while Robin is doing her kitchen check up - aka making sure he has food and that he’s eating it-, so she picks the phone like she did a million times before.
“Harrington residence, this is Robin” she says, cheerfully.
Steve doesn’t pay much attention to it as he’s folding his dad’s old clothes that intends to donate to the shelter, until he hears Robin’s loud gasp.
“What is it? Is it the hospital? Is it Max?” He rushes to the other room where Robin is.
She doesn’t answer but she gives him a look as she passes him the receiver.
Steve goes quiet, a million thoughts going through his head as he takes the phone from Robin.
He’s still unprepared when he hears that unmistakable voice “Baby”.
Steve gasps for breath “Eddie?”
Is that really you? What happened? Are you hurt? Isn’t this impossible? Is what goes on in Steve’s head, but he ends up just asking “are you okay?”
He can hear a chuckle, Eddie’s wicked chuckle, a further confirmation that it is him, “I’m- hanging in there… are you okay?”
Steve finds the question absurd. He isn’t the one who got left in the upside down, the one that got eaten by demonic bats, the one who died before Steve had the chance to tell him how he felt.
He answers truthfully nonetheless, “I’m… I’m not okay.”
“I’ll be there soon, I promise.”
“Please Eddie, come quick.”
“I’ll break the sound barrier for you.”

Condolences
pairing: max x reader
summary: there is such a thing as being too competitive
masterlist requests open
——————————
The world stopped the moment your phone buzzed. You could barely read past “breaking news” before running into the next room.
“Daniel-“ you barely get the words out before Max nods solemnly.
“I heard,” Max says dejectedly. You sit beside him, letting a sad silence fill the room.
“Is he home?” you ask, not knowing the pain your friend and idol is going though. Your Aussie roots are what helped you and Daniel bond. Without him you wouldn’t have met Max.
A knock on your door interrupts Max before he can reply. You make your way to the door, opening it to see a very sad Daniel Ricciardo.
The trophies and other Formula One decor seem gauche in the moment as your friend is walking through your cozy apartment.
You silently sit down beside your friend and hug him. You and Daniel have only gotten closer since you started dating Max, before you were more like casual acquaintances and now he’s your older brother.
“I’m sorry, Daniel. What they did wasn’t right,” Max says, breaking the silence.
“I knew it was coming, I just didn’t expect it to be so hard this time around,”
“Whatever you need, we are here for you,” you rub his back. Daniel leans into your touch, resting his head on your shoulder as he takes in the comfort of you and Max. Max offers to go to the bar and drown the sorrows in liquor, but Daniel declines, needing to go back to his apartment and call Heidi.
“I just feel so bad,” you sit back down beside Max after letting Daniel out. The plush couch is almost as comfortable as your boyfriend.
“I know. He told me it was a possibility, but I didn’t expect the team to drop him the way they did,” Max squeezes you, holding you close.
“Wait,” you lean back, eyes narrowing as you look at Max. “You knew, and you didn’t say anything to me? You asshole,” you gasp. Jimmy and Sassy look at you curiously, a little confused why you suddenly seem upset. “A little warning would’ve been nice,” you advert your eyes, looking at one of the trophies that adorn your living room instead.
“I had an idea, but I wasn’t one hundred percent sure,” Max awkwardly tries to defend himself.
“Well, I am going to make Danny feel better,” you silently challenge Max as you stand up, ready to make your way to your bedroom with a yawn.
“Oh yeah, I bet I can do a better job than you,” Max doesn’t back down from your challenge, watching you pad across the carpet to your shared room. He opens his phone and takes another look at VCARB’s post. “Worst birthday gift ever,” Max groans.
“I’ll be back, I need to run to the store,” you practically jump off the couch. Max narrows his eyes, but doesn’t say anything.
You spend the rest of the day baking and meal prepping your favorite Australian dishes, hoping that Daniel enjoys the taste of home.
While you occupied yourself, Max searched through his racing memorabilia, hoping to find something that would pique Daniel’s interest.
The first time Max really noticed was when he got home from the gym and noticed the heavenly smells coming from the kitchen.
You stood in front of the stove humming to yourself, different containers and food scattered across the marble counters. Daniel happily sat at the countertop, eating a pesto pasta.
“Hey Max,” Daniel smiles, mouth full of food. Max cautiously walks towards you. You turn to him, a smug smile on your lips.
“Welcome home, Maxie,” your voice is a little too sweet, rubbing in your advantage in the unspoken competition between you. Max narrows his eyes as he leans down to press a quick kiss to your lips.
“I didn’t realize you were making dinner,” he says warily.
“Oh, I’m just making some food for Daniel to take with him. A little taste of Australia and his favorite meals,” you explain. Daniel enthusiastically nods.
“It’s really good, you lucked out man, having such a great cook as a partner,” Daniel tells Max, not having picked up on the competition.
“There’s some pesto pasta left if you want any,” you point your spatula to the stray pot on your left. Max silently takes a portion that you didn’t pack for Daniel to take home.
“Thanks,” Max mutters, plotting his next move. You barely notice as you finish the chicken cutlets. Daniel’s mom happily shared her recipe and preferred brands with you, glad that you are there to comfort Daniel.
A few nights later, you are getting ready for a girls night with some of the WAGs.
“You look beautiful, where are you going?” Max asks, sitting on your bed.
“Some new club that the girls found. I’ll send you the location when we get there,” you say as you put your earring in. Max gets up and grabs your heels for you, motioning for you to sit down.
“Don’t go too hard, I don’t want you to regret it tomorrow,” Max says as he secures your heels before standing up and giving you a hand as you stand.
“Of course, someone has to be responsible for the girls,” you smile, leaning in to kiss Max. Max pulls back from the kiss with a smile, using his thumb to fix your smudged lipstick.
What you don’t expect is to see Max walk into the club with Daniel and Charles half an hour later. You try to ignore them down the bar as you and the girls order another round, like you never saw them come in.
“These are for you ladies from the men across the bar,” the bartender says as he places a round of shots in front of you.
“Did you-?” you ask Alexandra who shakes her head in shock. You whip your head towards the guys and see Max raise his glass in smug greeting to you. You don’t break eye contact as you grab a shot and bring it to your mouth, quickly throwing it back and heading to the dance floor, vodka red bull in hand.
“What did you do to piss her off?” Daniel asks Max, a little concerned.
“It’s nothing, I just beat her at a game,” Max waves Daniel off.
“Seems like you have some making up to do,” Charles says, Daniel nodding in agreement.
The boys eventually find their way to your group, Max pressing himself against you. You try to push him off but he stays glued to you. His fingers brush the back of your neck as he moves your hair to one side. His breath tickles as his lips are against your ear.
“What’s wrong baby?” Max says, you mind dizzy and breathing a little heavy from the alcohol and contact.
“Max,” you breathe as he kisses the sensitive spot behind your ear, purposefully riling you up before turning you around so you are face to face. The look in his eyes is similar to yours. When you did go home, sleep was the last thing on your mind.
This carried on for a week. You would deliver whatever treat your found, or meal you made, while Max brought alcohol or dragged Daniel along to things.
You both found yourselves seated on Daniel’s couch, not meeting each other’s eye. You stare at Daniel’s thrown together yet cohesive display of trophies. You and Max had an unofficial official score between you two for making Daniel feel better and you were in the lead by two points.
“You two need to stop. I appreciate your support, and you are two of my closest friends, literally,” Daniel speaks as if you are children. “It sucks, but losing my seat isn’t the end of the world. You’ve helped, but this competition needs to end,” his stern eyes have you looking at your shoes, embarrassed. Has Daniel always had a cowprint rug under his couch?
“Sorry,” you and Max mutter in unison, resembling schoolchildren who’ve been chastised by their teacher.
“Now, why don’t we all go to the bar and have one last pity party?” Daniel suggests, finally getting a say in how he feels better. Although, he doesn’t mind the taste of home when you bring him food.
“I guess we can put aside our competition,” Max sighs, extending his hand to you. Your eyes flick between his hand and his face, unsure if it’s safe to trust him, but you ultimately shake on it for Daniel’s sake.
“Good, now go get ready. I’ll meet you in 30,” Daniel claps, kicking you out of his apartment and sending you back to yours.
“I won,” you smile as the door closes behind you in Max’s apartment.
“I can’t believe my husband chose my girlfriend over me,” Max says a little exasperated.
“Well, you aren’t a fellow Aussie and all guys are the same. All it takes is some food,” you laugh as Max pulls you close.
“I’ll be an Aussie too once I marry you,” he presses a kiss to your cheek, just below your ear, sending shivers up your spine.
“How long do we have?” you notice Max’s eyes darken.
“Long enough.”

hey! do you think you could write something where charles starts dating baby sainz after alex, and for a change she really doesn’t like baby sainz, or even a random oc ex gf of charlie and he gets annoyed whenever anyone says anything bad about baby sainz, and just wants her to himself? Thank you! ❤️
Ok so first things first. This is just a fic and not supposed to be hate towards Alexandra.
Now please enjoy reading and don't hesitate to send requests.
-XoXo
The better Girlfriend
The breakup between Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux was far from friendly. Their relationship had been plagued by cheating rumors, and the truth eventually came to light. Alexandra, a 21-year-old art history student, had kissed another guy during a girls’ night out. When this news reached Charles, their relationship came to an end
But Alexandra’s behavior during their relationship had already caused friction. She openly expressed disdain for Charles’s job in Formula 1, even going so far as to claim it wasn’t a real sport on live TV. Her rudeness toward fans and unreasonable demands put her in an unfavorable light. Charles endured his worst F1 season while they were together, and the media and fans didn’t hesitate to express their disapproval of her.
When Charles finally broke up with Alexandra, he received overwhelming support from the F1 paddock. His fellow drivers rallied around him during this difficult time:
Lando played games with him to keep his spirits up.
Pierre offered a sympathetic shoulder to cry on.
Max made sure Charles ate proper meals.
Carlos helped him navigate the PR drama.
And his “Grid Dads”—Sebastian, Lewis and Fernando offered invaluable advice.
In the midst of the drama, Charles found solace in the camaraderie of his fellow racers, proving that the racing world extends beyond the track and into the bonds of friendship and support
But there was one person, that helped him the most. Amira Sainz, the unsung hero in Charles’s life. While others lent their support, it was Amira who stood by him, often without uttering a single word. During Charles’s tumultuous relationship with Alexandra, Amira remained an enigma—a girl he wasn’t allowed to befriend due to Alexandra’s jealousy. But now, free from those constraints, their paths converged.
From strangers to friends, and then lovers—their connection felt destined. The media dubbed them the “it-couple,” and fans followed their story with respectful fascination. Initially, Carlos wasn’t thrilled, but time softened his heart. With Amira, Charles discovered a happiness he’d never known before—a beautiful girl who became his world.
And Charles reciprocated her love in every possible way. Each morning, breakfast in bed; after races, flowers to brighten her day. He listened to her fears and troubles, making her feel cherished and protected. But Amira wasn’t just a passive recipient; she left post-it notes in his luggage, their apartment, and even his car. She comforted him after bad races, helping him navigate his emotions. Together, they shared a dog—a symbol of their bond.
Their love wasn’t hidden; they proudly displayed it online. Fans embraced them as the “it-couple,” and Charles and Amira reveled in their shared journey. In a world of engines and speed, their love story unfolded.
Alexandra, Charles Leclerc’s ex girlfriend, stumbled upon one of their date posts. What she saw ignited a fire within her—a seething rage that drove her to spend the next five hours stalking the couple and dissecting their relationship. But Alexandra’s fury didn’t stop there; oh no, she took it a step further. In a desperate attempt to reclaim her own narrative, she created not one, not two, but seventeen fake “Alexandra and Charles forever” accounts on Instagram.
The internet, however, is a merciless place. Within minutes, eagle-eyed users ridiculed her fabricated accounts, exposing the charade for what it was. Alexandra’s attempt to rewrite history crumbled under the weight of public scrutiny. Perhaps it was a desperate cry for attention or a futile bid to regain control, but either way, the digital world had spoken: “Fake news!”
And so, as the engines cooled down and the F1 tracks took a breather during the summer break, Alexandra found herself caught in a whirlwind of her own making. Meanwhile, Charles and his new love interest, Amira Sainz, continued their blissful journey, oblivious to the storm brewing behind the screens
The pitlane buzzed with anticipation as Alexandra, fueled by anger and resentment, strode toward the Ferrari garage. Her eyes blazed with determination, and the photographers snapped away, capturing her every move. Lando and Max exchanged shocked glances—what was she doing here?
The Ferrari team, despite Carlos impending departure, held a special place in their hearts for the Sainz siblings. Their camaraderie and dedication had left an indelible mark. But now, Alexandra—the wicked witch, as some whispered—had infiltrated their sanctuary.
As she stepped into the garage, the once-happy atmosphere vanished. The air crackled with tension. Alexandra’s gaze swept over the familiar red cars, the tools, the mechanics—all part of the world that had embraced Charles and Amira. She clenched her fists, vowing to tear apart the relationship that had blossomed in this very space.
If it was the last thing she ever did.
And so, the pitlane witnessed a battle of emotions—a collision of love and hate, fueled by jealousy and wounded pride. The engines roared, but the real drama unfolded in the hearts of those who watched.
She looked around at the quiet garage and immediately spottet Charles and his plaything. The tensions were high as she strutted towards them. "Charles" she tried to say in a seductive voice. When she went to hug him and kiss his cheek, he stepped away. "Alexandra, what are you doing here?" he questioned sternly. "What? Can't I see my favorite athlete" she harshly asked. "Does the stupid bitch not allow you to talk to other women?" She turned to Amira. "No wonder she doesn't, I mean look at her. I truly don't see what you see in her. She dresses like a slut. I'm sure she also sucks your dick like one and-"
“Enough!” Charles’s voice boomed, cutting through the tension. “Don’t you DARE disrespect my girlfriend. You destroyed our relationship. You used me.”He stepped closer to her, eyes blazing with anger. “If you know what’s good for you, you’ll never step a foot in the paddock.” With that, he turned away, leaving Alexandra standing humiliated in the middle of the room.
The air crackled with the aftermath of his words—a collision of emotions, hurt, and the finality of a chapter closing.

Okay WTF now I need a part 3 of Enemy Territory 😭 like bruh like who is finding out about the kid first? Toto? Christian? George? Other driver who snitches to one of them on on purpose or totally on accident?? THE POSSIBILITIES
Enemy Teritory Part Three
George Russell x Horner Reader,
Summary: and they all live mostly happily ever after
Warnings: Lestappen wedding?
Notes: The things I do for you people
Masterlist
Christian knew he fucked up the moment she left the paddock that day. He knew it as he hadn't heard from her for weeks. He had to beg Max for any kind of update. Ones which the Dutch were reluctant to give.
He really should've stood up to Toto for his daughter. Showed her more support than he did.
It's the middle of 2024 when Max pulls him into his office and tells him to sit down. It's not often Max takes a serious tone with him. He knows it's something serious, and he can't help but let his mind travel to the worst about his daughter.
"She wants to meet for dinner the next time we're in Austria."
"Dinner?"
"You know? The meal you est in the evening?" Max snorts.
"Don't get sarcastic with me."
Sure enough, the next time they're in Austria, she drives up with Max to the Horner household for dinner. Max gets out and around to the other side of the car. It looks like she's struggling to move around.
Christians mouth falls open as he sees her. Probably around seven months pregnant. Of all the things he was prepared for, it wasn't this.
Turns out George is the father, but she has yet to tell him. Max has been helping her out when her can. To which he was shocked Charles has also come and help occasionally. Turns out both of the young adults decided to just tell him everything.
His daughter is pregnant and Max is dating Charles.
She’s been staying with them in Monaco since things have gotten harder to do on her own. Christian can tell she’s still hurting after a year of not seeing George. Well- less then that, but she still look like she just left that office.
It is a very happy time when the baby is born. Nobody knows why Christian and Max fly out directly after the race ends in early September. None of the reporters catch Charles sneaking out the back with them.
Christian is a very happy man that day. Yet, even through the smiles of his daughter, he cant help but notice the hint of sadness.
~
“Charles!” Max screams to get the attention of his now fiancé. It’s been over a year since baby George was born. His mother had been struggling immensely since his birth and Max and Charles were doing their best to help her out. Plus he started calling them ‘uncle Maxie and uncle Charlie’ which doesn’t help their growing adoration and incessant need to spoil the child.
Charles spins on his heels and puts his hands on his hips. “No need to shout at me!”
“But I come bearing gossip!”
Charles takes quick strides in his direction and they meet in the middle of the paddock alley. They are certainly closer then they need to be, but they couldn’t care less.
“Are you going to spill or not?”
“George has a new girlfriend.” They both sigh heavily in exasperation. The Brit had been complaining about his new PR contract that Toto is making him do.
They two drivers had been making so much progress with getting the mother of his child to come back to the paddock. This is going to set them back years. Maybe forever, at this rate.
George still asks about her. All the time. It's becoming a problem in some ways.
"Now she'll never come back!" Whines the Monegasque. He's not wrong, though. It's going to be a pain to get her to come back if George looks like he's moved on.
"We could tell her it's for PR?"
"She'll think we're lying."
They need to come up with a plan and fast. Both males know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this will break her even more than she already is.
~
The end of the 2026 season brings new things for everyone. George is walking on air after winning the championship. He didn’t think attending the wedding of two of his friends would bring such a tragedy with it.
He’s asked Max and Charles about her every chance he got. Christian had even approached him and apologized. As soon as he could, now that his contract with Mercedes and the stupid PR girlfriend are done, he was going to find her. Get her back and love her like she deserves.
George had assumed she’d be at the wedding. Found it to be the perfect opportunity to see if he can’t explain things. Maybe try to reconcile and see if she still wants to attempt a relationship now that Toto can’t get in the way.
She looks beautiful. Dressed in something that gives her a glow, standing and talking to the the two newly weds. George can’t help but smile when he lays eyes on her for the first time in years.
Then people move, and he gets a clear view of a little boy clinging to her leg. He can’t be older then two and is the spitting image of himself when he was a child.
Shock and realization passed through him. George has saved the last texts they’d sent that day before the dooming call to Toto’s office. She’s wanted to tell him something important. She had seemed excited, elated even.
She’s deep in conversation, enough to where she doesn’t notice George staring at the child and him looking right back. the boys face bursts into a grin and he launches himself through the crowd.
All three adults freeze and turn to look at where he’s run off to. George makes eye contact with the female. It’s like slow motion. Like they are they only two people in the room. She quickly exchanges words with Max and Charles before they come over.
“You’re George Russell!” Says the little boy.
“Indeed I am!”
“We have the same name! My maman says I have the same name as my dad.” He likes very prideful. George can’t help but smile.
Max scoops the boy, who he now knows is also George, up into his arms. “You know better then to run away, Junior.”
“But uncle Maxie look! I found him!”
“I see that. What do you say we go find something to snack on?”
“Only if uncle Charlie didn’t make it”
Charles looks offended and fakes a pain in his chest. Then the trio walks off, leaving the boys mother behind.
George is at a loss for words. He doesn’t know what to say or how to say it. Thankfully she takes the lead. “He loves you. Your his favorite driver. Completely obsessed enough to wake up at ridiculous hours just to watch you race.” She doesn’t look him in the eyes. Like she can’t bring herself to do it.
“Is he- Is he mine?” She confirms with a nod of her head. George smiles and tears up more then he had at the reason why he is even here in the first place. “Can we go somewhere more private? I have something I want to tell you.”
They find a garden to explore as they talk. George tries to ease into it, see where she’s at before he tries to ask her out.
“How’s your girlfriend?” She looks hurt but is tryin to smile and be polite nonetheless.
“She was never my girlfriend. I had to do it for PR after everything that happened. People were speculating. We were both on the same terms; she had someone else but they didn’t want her around them. I told her I was still in love with you.”
He didn’t realize they had stopped walking until he turns and sees her staring at him. tears in her eyes and love plastered all over her face. “I never stopped loving you either.”
And George doesn’t hesitate to do the one thing he’s been wanting to for years now. He’s waited patiently and it payed off because now she’s here in front of him. He crashes his lips onto hers. Something about years of pent up emotions makes this kiss the best thing he has ever felt.
“I think Junior may have a heart attack when he realizes your his dad.”
“That will make two of us today then.”
~
Up on the balcony the trio of boys watch the gardens below. George and Their favorite female walk out into their line of sight.
“Look! Maman is with George Russell!”
Max and Charles laugh at his excitement. Their fingers crossed that she takes his explanation and believes it because even with years apart, it looks like they were never apart.
The two walk and talk for a bit while the trio eats snacks and hides from other guests.
It’s peaceful, until the little boy in Charles’ lap screams.
“George Russell is kissing my Mummy! That’s my job!” He crosses his arms and turns away from the sight with a pout.
:oops like Georges new competition will be with George Jr. for his mothers attention.

The Crawl
Part 4 of 5
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 AO3
WC: 5670
-Eddie-
Eddie thought the weirdest thing that would ever happen to him was Steve Harrington, of all people, trying and eventually succeeding in becoming his friend.
It was unexpected, the way they got along so well and discovered that they actually had more in common than either of them would have thought, but not as unexpected as Eddie realizing that his unrequited crush on the former king of Hawkins High was possibly not as unrequited as he’d initially thought.
That became his new weirdest thing, for a while.
Eddie would have never dreamed that someone like Steve, queer or not, would be interested in someone like him, but after he caught the guy staring at his bare chest for nearly a full minute the first time he answered his door shirtless, and subsequently every time he was shirtless thereafter, it was too obvious to deny.
Not that he ever intended to do anything with that information.
Eddie was, in certain situations at least, a coward after all. The closer that they got, and the more Steve started to mean to him, the more afraid he became to ruin things. Steve never said anything outright, never acknowledged the electricity between them, so Eddie didn't either, happy to live in the liminal space where they danced around it, because it was safer. Steve stopped dating, Eddie continued his streak of not dating, and they never talked about it.
Then Chrissy Cunningham was murdered by an unseen evil wizard right there in the middle of his living room, and he found out just how naive he’d been about how weird shit could get.
Along with that epiphany came another one. Life was too fucking short to keep playing games, and Eddie was so tired of being scared.
Angry hick mob launching a witch hunt?
Scary.
The Upside Down?
Fucking terrifying.
But, Steve?
Steve was safe, he was comfort, he was home.
Eddie wasn’t afraid of Steve anymore, he was afraid for him, terrified that once they parted on the brink of battle they’d never see each other again, that he’d never get to tell Steve that he loved him.
He’d done it, in the end. Eddie was brave. He called out for Steve and they’d gotten their moment, a few feverish kisses at the end of the world, and a promise.
Afterwards he climbed up on top of that trailer with his audience of two to play Master of Puppets with a new fire running through his veins.
This was for Chrissy, who’d died a terrible agonizing death at the hands of a foe she could never have imagined. It was for Max, who'd been targeted because of her suffering, as if the suffering itself wasn’t enough. It was for El, who endured a hellish upbringing that no one should ever have been subjected to. For the boys and Erica, whose childhoods were cut short by simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time and helping their friends. For the older teens, Steve, Robin, Nancy, and Jonathan, who were still kids in their own right, forced to grow up in an instant and become protectors, crushed under the weight of that responsibility. Hopper and Joyce, who despite their efforts had little choice but to let all of these children become soldiers in a war none of them signed up for.
And finally, for himself. Eddie knew his life would never be the same after this. Whether they defeated Vecna or not, whether his name was cleared or not, some people would choose to continue to see the worst, to see him as a murderer.
He did everything Steve asked him to do. Well, almost everything.
As soon as he spotted the bats on the horizon, a rapidly approaching cloud of wings and gnashing teeth, and it was clear that the creatures had taken the bait, he abandoned his concert and took the two boys back down into the house. The entire trailer had been reinforced, doors and windows boarded up with bits of wood and corrugated metal, and, at Steve’s curiously specific request, Eddie made sure the air vents were sufficiently blocked.
It held them off for a while, but eventually a few of the little fuckers managed to squeeze their way inside and Eddie knew he had to act fast. He rushed Dustin and Will up the rope and fully intended to follow after them, really he did, but the demobats seemed to have the same idea.
It wasn’t even a choice.
He couldn't risk letting the bats get through the gate and go after the boys, or be let loose into the Right-Side-Up. Eddie used his spear to dispatch the winged menaces closest to the portal and then took off, screaming and shouting like a lunatic to entice the remaining monsters to follow after him as he ran outside. He kept up a litany of loudly delivered taunts and jabs as he mounted one of the bikes that they’d left behind before and managed to draw the horde away from the trailer, chasing after him alone instead.
He didn't remember hitting the ground. When one of the creatures pulled away from the pack and swooped down to knock him from the bike, he only barely registered the sensation of falling before the world went black.
He swam in and out of consciousness several times before finally waking up for good.
At the time he hadn’t even been sure if any of it was real, thinking maybe he’d died and it was all some kinda weird hallucination on his way to the afterlife.
Eddie’s eyelids fluttered open and he found his face pressed against an unfamiliar chest. He must have moved because the arms around him tightened protectively as the man attached to them spoke, his voice low and rumbling. “Don’t worry, kid. We’re gonna get you out of here.”
It sounded like Hopper, but before Eddie could get a look at him to be sure, he blinked and was suddenly being jostled around in a car, cradled against a body he was a little more familiar with.
Steve.
He tried to say it out loud, all but screaming the name inside his own head but no matter how hard he tried all that would come out of his mouth was a whimper. Steve shushed him and whispered soothing nonsense as he pushed Eddie's hair back to press kisses against his forehead. He tried hard to stay that time, but he was powerless to resist the pull of the darkness.
He blinked again and was surrounded by strangers in a cold room with too much light. He squinted against the brightness, realizing only after he’d started panicking that the beeping he heard was mimicking his own heartbeat. He was in a hospital, and the strangers around him were nurses and a doctor. He relaxed, finally accepting that he wasn’t dead and the beeping slowed to match his pulse. He sank into sleep less reluctantly then, knowing he would wake again eventually and hopefully this time someone he knew would be there to tell him what the hell had happened.
When Eddie finally woke up for real, it was a gradual ascent into consciousness. He took a deep breath before opening his eyes, turning his head slowly and carefully to take in his surroundings. The room was dimly lit now and the night sky was visible through the open blinds on the windows. There was no one in sight save for a lone figure with their arm in a sling slumped over in a chair next to his hospital bed.
“Steve?” Eddie croaked out, dry throat causing him to break out into a coughing fit.
The other boy jumped up from his seat, instantly awake and quickly grabbed a nearby cup of water before returning to his side.
Eddie took a few grateful sips but couldn't take his eyes off of Steve’s arm. When he could speak again it was the first thing he had to know. “Are you hurt? What happened to your arm?”
Steve shook his head, the ghost of a smile coming over his face as he settled back into the chair, taking one of Eddie’s hands with his good one. “You just woke up after being nearly eaten alive by demobats and the first thing you ask is if I’m hurt?”
“I just want to make sure you’re okay.” Eddie grumbled, sinking back into his pillows. “And I didn’t almost get eaten… I don’t think.” He paused trying to think back. “Okay, honestly I'm not sure. I don’t really remember anything after falling off the bike.”
Steve nodded as if he’d been expecting that. “Yeah, you hit your head when you fell. You’ve got a lump on the back of your head, and some bites. There, on your cheek” He said, eyeing up the bandage Eddie could feel taped to his face. ”And a few more on your leg.”
That, Eddie hadn’t known. He wasn’t really feeling any pain at the moment. They were probably pumping him full of pain meds, so between that and the adrenaline from seeing Steve and finally being awake, he was feeling pretty good.
“Oh.” Eddie began, letting it all process slowly. “How long has it been?”
“A little less than a day, it’s only the next night.”
“Did we do it? Is he gone? What about Dustin and Will, are they… Did everybody make it?”
Steve started to laugh but it cut off abruptly on a choked sob. His eyes shimmered with unshed tears and he looked away for the first time since Eddie had woken up.
Eddie’s heart sank, the sudden racing of his pulse given away by the sound of the heart monitor.
Steve squeezed his hand, wiping his eyes on his own shoulder and finally looked back up. “Vecna’s dead. The Upside Down is gone, for real this time. They’re all okay, you were the only one who got hurt. I promise.”
Eddie raised his eyebrows, looking pointedly at the dark blue sling the other boy was currently wearing.
“I’m fine.” Steve insisted.
Eddie frowned. He could accept that maybe Steve’s arm wasn’t bothering him, but it was clear that he wasn’t, in fact, fine.
“If everyone’s okay then why do you look so sad?” He asked softly.
“Sorry. I’m… it’s just… “ Steve stuttered. “I’m just so glad you’re okay, Eds.”
He knew Steve meant it, even if it felt like he was leaving something out, but Eddie didn’t want to push the issue. He gave a little nod. “I’m glad you’re okay too, Stevie.”
He let the silence settle around them for a moment, hoping that Steve would say a little more. When it was obvious that he wasn’t going to do that, he pressed on.
“What else did I miss? Tell me everything. What’s the cover story? Am I going to be arrested when I get out of here? Has anyone gotten in touch with Wayne? He must be worried sick. Are the-”
Steve cut him off mid question, laughing again, only this time without the tears, to Eddie’s immense relief.
“Slow down! Jesus! You’re supposed to be taking it easy.”
“I’m literally laying in bed, Harrington. I couldn't be taking it any easier if I tried.”
“Alright.” Steve said, blowing out a long breath. “You were passed out on the ground when we got back from the Creel house. There were bats laying dead on the ground all over the place. We figure they must have dropped when we killed Vecna. I, um, tried to pick you up but I dislocated my shoulder fighting the vines so Hopper carried you out and we rushed you here, to the hospital. Like I said, no one else was really hurt. Officially you’ve been cleared, but no details have been released to the public yet. Hopper said they’re still working on the story.”
“They?”
“The lab, I guess? Or the government? Both? I don’t know, I was always a little confused about all that.”
“Okay.” Eddie said. Fair enough, it’s not like he had any better idea of what was going on behind the scenes. Who was in league with who, shadowy government conspiracies and all that.
“They do have an officer on your door, Powell and Callahan are taking turns keeping watch, but it's for your protection, not the other way around. Just until word spreads that you’re innocent.”
Eddie didn’t have the heart to argue that it probably wouldn’t be as simple as that. Steve would see in time, or maybe the citizens of Hawkins would surprise him, prove him wrong. Either way that was a problem for another day.
“Innocent is a strong word, baby.” Eddie teased. The term of endearment sliding off his tongue so easily. He nearly winced at his own use of it, but Steve didn't seem to mind.
“We haven't been able to get in touch with Wayne yet, but Hopper is on it. We know he was put up in a motel somewhere so it’s just a matter of finding out which one.
“It’s probably for the best. I don’t know what I'd even tell him, or how to explain where I've been.”
“We’ll figure it out.”
Eddie was overtaken by a huge yawn, his eyelids suddenly felt heavy and drooping. All the talking really had taken a lot out of him.
“You should get some sleep, I'll still be here in the morning. You need rest.” Steve said.
“So do you.”
“Hey, I was sleeping just fine in this chair here until you woke me up.”
Eddie hesitated, he didn’t really want to be alone but he felt guilty. He didn’t want Steve to feel like he had to stay. “You should go home, you need real sleep. In a bed.”
A look of hurt crossed Steve’s face, but was gone again as quick as it had come, as if he was carefully schooling his expressions. It was concerning, and it made Eddie’s throat tight.
“Do you want me to leave?”
“No.” Eddie answered honestly.
“Okay.” Steve said, and that settled that, apparently.
Eddie dropped off to sleep pretty quickly. It was easy with Steve's hand still resting warm in his. It had to be uncomfortable, reaching his arm across from the chair like that. He almost asked Steve to join him in the bed. It would be a tight squeeze for sure, though Eddie wouldn't have minded, but they still hadn’t talked about what happened between them in the Upside Down.
He dreamed.
Or would it be considered a nightmare, he wondered, since the slightly off scene was set in the woods of the Upside Down. He and Steve were walking beside each other, just as they had done in real life. Steve was shirtless again and wearing Eddie’s battle vest, a combined visual that had gone a long way in making Eddie feel better about where they were, and what they were doing at the time. The big difference here was that Steve was hurt. His middle was wrapped in a makeshift bandage of some sort and he was bleeding. A ring-like wound wrapped around his neck, making it look like someone had tried to hang him. Before Eddie could make sense of it the ground beneath his feet in the dream shook, and he jolted awake.
Though to him it felt like hardly any time had passed, he must have been asleep for quite a while because it was morning, and late morning at that judging by the light, confirmed when he finally spotted a clock that hung above his room’s door. He could also see the silhouette of a person standing just outside of it. Whichever cop that had drawn the short straw on being his bodyguard today, he supposed.
To his disappointment, Steve was gone. He wondered if the other boy had just stepped out, or if he had finally taken Eddie’s advice in the night and gone home to his nice warm bed. Part of him hoped so, the other part tried not to be upset by the absence..
He didn’t have long to dwell on it though, because only a few minutes later Uncle Wayne came walking through the door.
Eddie wanted nothing more than to get up from the bed he was stuck in. To stand and hug the man who maybe hadn’t raised him, but had, with absolutely no hesitation, taken in a troubled teenager that showed up on his doorstep unannounced and cared for him like he was his own.
He settled for pushing himself up into a sitting position and accepting the gentle one armed embrace his uncle could manage while hovering over the bed.
“I’m sorry.” Eddie blurted out.
Wayne waved him off like it was ridiculous, but how could he not be sorry for upending his uncle’s life like this. Eddie let it go for now, they could come back to that later.
“Christ, boy. I thought I'd never see you again. How you feelin’? They tell me you’re pretty banged up.”
Shit.
“Yeah, I feel okay, actually. Considering, uh… '' Eddie trailed off, hesitating. He still had no idea what he was supposed to say, allowed to say?
“Don’t worry, son. You don’t gotta tell me nothing. Hop already warned me not to ask if I wanted to be allowed in to see ya.”
Eddie was a little taken aback, it wasn’t like Wayne to accept an ultimatum like that. He must have really been worried. It was a relief. He didn’t enjoy keeping things from Wayne, but this was bigger than just the two of them.
“Sorry,” he said again, for lack of what else to say.
“If you don’t stop apologizing.” Wayne muttered, shaking his head. “I only wish I coulda been here sooner.”
“It’s fine. Steve was here- for a while.” Eddie said, not quite managing to keep the disappointment he’d felt earlier at waking up alone off his face.
“No need to look so glum, he’s only down in the cafeteria getting coffee with that girl who’s always hanging around with you two.”
“Robin?”
Wayne snapped his fingers in recognition. “That’s the one.”
“Oh.”
“He was headed this way when we bumped into each other in the hall. I told him he was welcome to come along a’course but he said he wanted to give us some time to ourselves.”
“That was… thoughtful of him.” Eddie said and began to worry at his lower lip, forgetting about the wound on his cheek. He winced as the movement pulled at the stitches there.
Wayne eyed him curiously. “Something on your mind, Ed?”
“Nah, it’s nothing, compared to everything else going on.”
It was the truth, he was being ridiculous. Not that him being worried about Steve was ridiculous, but the fact that Eddie was starting to wonder if it had something to do with him, with them, as whatever it was they were to each other now. There were more important things.
“Not if it’s bothering you this much.”
Eddie sighed. “It’s Steve.”
“I gathered. What about him?”
Eddie wasn’t dumb. He was sure his uncle knew he had a giant crush on his friend, Steve hung around the trailer so much that he had his own mug and everything, but he didn’t want to out Steve by talking about what happened between them without his permission.
“I think something’s wrong and he won't tell me what it is. He said…” Eddie paused, choosing his words. “He gave me an explanation, but I could tell that wasn’t all there was to it. It feels like he’s keeping something from me.”
“And you feel like this thing, the something that’s wrong, is to do with you?”
“Maybe.”
“Hmm.” Wayne hummed thoughtfully. “He know you're freaking out about it?”
“I’m not freaking out about it.” Eddie huffed.
“Whatever you say, but you should try and talk to him about it again. He wouldn’t like knowing he’s got you this twisted up over it. Whatever it is.”
“I’m not twisted– how do you know?”
“I might be getting older but I'm not blind.”
Wayne wound up sitting with him for over an hour, and it was the most relaxed he’d felt since before this all started. Wayne kept it light, updating Eddie on all the work drama he’d missed and the trailer park gossip, steering clear of anything related to the events of the past week.
He was still there when Eddie’s doctor and a nurse came to check on him, surprising them both with the news that, barring any new complications, he could be released in just a few days. He’d had only a minor concussion and the wounds on his legs weren’t as deep as it was initially thought.
He stood for the first time, with help of course, and found that while it was painful, it was doable. He might have to use a cane for support until everything healed completely but that was a small price to pay.
Eventually Steve and Robin appeared, and at Eddie's insistence, uncle Wayne took his leave. He would have stayed all day, all night if Eddie had asked him to, but he knew Wayne would be more comfortable back at his motel, and selfishly he hoped to get more alone time with Steve.
Steve, who he couldn't help noticing had deep bags under his eyes. It didn’t look like he’d gotten any sleep the previous night.
Eddie didn't say that out loud though, and he never got to bring up what was bothering him either. Robin stuck around for the day and the three of them hung out until well after visiting hours were supposed to be over. He couldn't complain, it was nice to spend time with his friends even in these conditions, and he appreciated the little play-by-play that Robin acted out for him detailing their takedown of Vecna.
By the time her parents showed up to drag her away and drive her back home, Eddie was beyond exhausted, and Steve could tell. With very little effort he coaxed him into laying down, wordlessly assuming the same position they had been in the night before, Steve slouched uncomfortably in the chair with his arm stretched out and propped up on the bed rail so he could hold Eddie’s hand. He was asleep before he could even consider rethinking asking Steve to share the bed.
Another dream plagued Eddie's rest. This one a little more vivid than the last. It was odd, usually once you know you’re dreaming you either wake up or are able to take some control of the events around you, but in this case Eddie could only hold on tight and go along for the ride.
Steve was wearing his vest again- still? And watching over Eddie’s shoulder as he hotwired his neighbor’s RV. They talked while he worked. It was a story he’d told Steve before, albeit under very different circumstances. His father, being the great fucking influence he was, had taught a little bright-eyed bushy-tailed 8 year old Eddie how to hotwire a car. A skill he no doubt thought would be useful for an up and coming Munson, assuming Eddie would grow up to carry on the legacy of the family name. Even then he knew he didn’t want to wind up like his father, it was why he’d run to Wayne when the shit hit the fan. He knew his uncle was a good man and a better parental figure than Al could ever be.
The dream warped and changed. They were headed to The War Zone. In reality they had called Hopper and the chief had been in charge of outfitting them all with weapons. Now, Steve was behind the wheel of their stolen camper and Eddie was sitting in the back with some of the kids and Robin, watching as he flirted awkwardly with Nancy who had taken up the passenger seat.
It was truly a bizarre scene, but that was dream logic, he reasoned. Steve and Nancy had been broken up for years, they were friends now and nothing more. Steve hardly looked at her twice these days. Eddie knew that and still the sight before him, fake or not, made his stomach tense and his chest ache.
He woke abruptly, eyes snapping open though he was unsure at first of what had disturbed him. He registered several things at once.
It was still dark outside and he had the feeling that not much time had passed, a fact that was proven true when he glanced at the clock and found it was only 11pm.
Steve was no longer holding his hand, he was curled into a ball in the chair, arms wrapped around himself as he wept like his heart was breaking. It was completely silent but Eddie could see how the great big sobs shook and wracked his body.
Pain be damned, he began to get out of the bed, sliding his legs over the side to try putting weight onto them. There was a walker next to his bed, the same one he'd used earlier to make an agonizingly slow trip to and from the bathroom. He just needed to get to Steve, to comfort him and–
“Eddie, what are you doing? Get back in bed.” Steve said, clearing his throat to try and hide the fact that he was sniffling, and desperately wiping away his tears as if his red rimmed eyes wouldn’t give him away regardless.
“Fine.” Eddie conceded, lifting his legs careful back onto the mattress and scooting back up against his pillows. “Just… come over here and sit with me then?”
“Eddie.”
“Please?”
He did as Eddie asked and came to sit next to him on the edge of the bed, but refused to look him in the eye. It hurt, and Eddie started to spiral.
Maybe Steve didn’t want to be here at all. Maybe he just felt like he had to, out of some misplaced obligation or something. Did he regret what they said to each other? The kisses? Everything? Had Steve only done those things because there was a chance they were both about to die? Eddie hadn’t thought so at the time but his confusion over Steve’s sadness was making him question everything.
He swallowed it down, not voicing any of those anxieties, at first.
“Are you okay?” Eddie asked.
Steve rubbed his face hard, something he did often when he was tired and frustrated. “I’m fine. Everything is good. I told you. I… I’m just tired.”
“I’m sorry but I don't believe that, and I know I shouldn’t push but I know there’s something you’re not telling me. Please, Steve. Just tell me what’s wrong.“ Eddie laid a tentative hand on Steve's arm, aiming for comfort, but the other boy stiffened under his touch. It was a bad sign, all but confirming his fears, but he pressed on anyway. “I care about you so much and I hate that you're hurting. I just want to help.”
He prayed that Steve would say something, anything, but he remained frustratingly silent.
“Is it me? Did I do something? If you… we can forget about what happened between us If that’s what you need, Steve. I just want you to be okay.”
He was met with only more silence and this time Eddie couldn't bring himself to break it.
Several agonizing minutes passed before Steve finally raised his eyes to look at him and spoke.
“I don’t want to forget about it.”
Eddie froze, almost afraid to even breathe.
“I love you. I’m in love with you, Eddie.”
Eddie gasped. “Oh.”
“You don’t have to say it back. I just needed you to know.”
“I do, though.”
“What?”
“Love you- too.”
The invisible wall that had been building between them finally broke as Steve leaned in to press the gentlest of kisses to Eddie’s lips. As much as he wanted to deepen the kiss, he allowed the act to remain soft and chaste, appreciating that Steve was trying to be careful of disturbing the wound on his cheek, but as far as Eddie was concerned, kissing Steve properly was worth a ripped stitch or two.
All too soon Steve pulled back, though he kept his arm tucked around Eddie’s waist. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you think any of those things you said.”
Eddie moved over as far as he could in the bed and pulled Steve in close, encouraging him to lay down beside him. He remained quiet, stroking Steve’s hair. He had a feeling the other boy was on the verge of opening up and he wanted to give him the time and space to do it at his own pace.
“There’s some things about all this, about the Upside Down that we haven't told you, that I didn’t tell you. I was trying to protect you, it was already so much… but you deserve to know, if you want. It would be nice to talk about it with someone.”
“With someone other than Robin, you mean?”
“How do you know Robin knows?”
“Is there anything you don’t tell her?
Steve smiled despite himself and rolled his eyes, but the expression quickly fell, replaced with something more worried and serious. “Are you sure you want to know this?”
“It’s about me, isn’t it?” Eddie guessed.
Steve nodded solemnly. “Yes.”
“Tell me.”
Over the next few hours Steve told Eddie all about his other self and what he’d done for the party. How there was an alternate timeline where everything that they’d just been through had happened before, except Vecna had won and Eddie had died, only to rise again and discover that time worked differently in the Upside Down and that maybe all hope wasn’t lost. Steve made him sound like a hero.
He was glassy eyed as he talked about meeting the other Eddie for the first time, when he got pulled through the gate at Lover’s Lake, and wept again when he spoke of their final meeting at the edge of the trailer park as the other dimension and everything residing in it was dying.
Eddie didn’t blame Steve for keeping this from him. He was right, it was too much, a heavy burden when they already had so many other things to carry, but he was happy that he knew the full truth.
He understood Steve’s sorrow now. He was mourning Eddie– even as Eddie was still sitting right here in front of him, alive… It had to be a bit of a mind fuck. He wasn’t sure if he could have handled it had their roles been reversed. To have to say goodbye to Steve like that, alternate version or not, might have broken him.
He knew he should have been more freaked out about the time travel of it all, and the fact that he’d died, or be obsessing over the differences between that reality and this one, but there would be plenty of time for that later. For now he just wanted to comfort Steve and enjoy the fact that he was alive, that they all were.
They fell asleep like that, smashed together in the too-small bed holding on to whichever part of the other person they could manage, too tired and emotionally drained to care if a nurse came in to catch them in such a compromising position.
Eddie dreamed once again, as he had every time he’d closed his eyes for the past 24 hours, but this time it truly was a nightmare.
He was back on the bike in the Upside Down, pedaling as fast and as hard as could, glancing back every now and then to keep an eye on the swarm that flew ever closer. The feeling of deja vu was intense as he was knocked to the ground, but this time he didn’t lose consciousness. He got up, and he stood his ground, and he fought to the very end. He hated himself a little bit for what he put Dustin through, having to watch him die like that, though he was so grateful to have not been alone in the end.
He woke with a big gasping breath feeling a little hysterical. It had all been a bit too real, he’d felt himself die. Steve was startled awake by his outburst, and he held Eddie close while he tried to calm down and relearn how to breathe.
“Bad dream?” Steve asked.
Was it just a dream? Was it a coincidence that he’d dreamt of the exact circumstances of his other self’s death, a way for his subconscious to work through everything he’d learned that night? Or was it something more.
If it was just the one nightmare he might have dismissed it, but knowing what he knew now…
He thought back on the other things he’d seen in his sleep, the walk through the woods, familiar yet different, the adventure in the RV, an alternative way to gather weapons in a world where Hopper was gone. He could feel it in his bones, there was a reason he was seeing these things.
“I don’t think they’re dreams.”
“What do you mean? You’ve had others?”
“Yeah. I think… Steve, I think they might be memories.”
Steve was skeptical at first but once Eddie detailed everything he’d seen and felt, even he had to admit it seemed possible.
Steve stared at him for a long time, studying his face intently as if he might be able to see the other Eddie inside, looking out through his eyes.
“Maybe when he died the two of you sort of… '' Steve trailed off sounding hopeful, weaving his fingers together with Eddie’s to signify what he meant, instead of finishing the thought out loud.
Eddie hummed noncommittally, raising their joined hands to his mouth and kissing the back of Steve’s “I guess we’ll find out one way or another, if it keeps happening.”

Works in Progress
Okay, this is literally every single work in progress that I currently have on my drafts!
I am the worst at summaries so I put the literal request underneath each one of them 😊 If it's not here, I didn't get the requests, loves so, let me know 😁
I know it's a lot and I really hope to get all of them up soon, it's gonna take me a while, but they are coming! if you'd like to request a preview of one, go ahead 😊 polls might come back in the future since they seem to be working somehow! I'll also be updating my Masterlists
I would like to thank you all again so much for yyour requests, love and patience!
Steve Harrington
Drabble (Untitled) [Mixing 2 requests]
1. wishingtobeforeveryoung1019 - Hey can I get a Steve and reader imagine where she works with Steve and they both like each other but they don’t realize it. They both think each other are way out of each other’s league. Can be Scoops Ahoy or Family Video, whichever you prefer. Fluffy please 2. Anonymous - Could you write a dialogue for Steve Harrington where the reader works at Scoops Ahoy and Steve and Dustin are in the back talking and Steve tells Dustin how much he likes the reader. Steve says "I really love y/n." and the reader opens the little window and says something like "you know I heard that whole conversation, right?" Steve and Dustin are both really shocked and Dustin runs out the back door, and Steve gets really flustered. And it ends with something really fluffy and cute, and they kiss. You totally don't have to write this, it was just an idea I had.
Ongoing Series - How Will I Know
You have walked the halls of Hawkins High unseen. If it wasn’t because Eddie Munson and his Hellfire Club had found you, you probably wouldn’t even have any friends. You knew someone like your all-time crush Steve ‘The Hair’ Harrington wouldn’t notice you in a million years. Until you get paired up for a project and he finally learns your name.
Eddie Munson
One-Shot - Alone Together [Mixing 2 requests]
1. mycobrakai1972 - Hello love, me again 😁 but instead of Charlie I have a Eddie request (even through they closed, so if you have to much just keep it for later or if you don’t want to, just ignore my request). So I thought about the reader is to shy to play with the Hellfire Club but she really wants too. And Eddie is thinking about a campaign that he can play only with her like a D&D date night and that has a romantic twist in it? Love your writhing, and look forward to everything that is coming soon. 💗💗💗 2. lunamadhatter99 - Oohhh let me go with Eddie and a shy one😍 Reader is a shy, quiet one, she's always seen (IF she is seen) at the library and there is where our boy notices her, reading basically a book a day. He's a little shy himself, at first, more because he's worried his reputation would scare her, but one day he tries sitting at the same table and... oh boy, when she smiles at him, he's done. He would start slowly: small talk, little glances in the hallway too, making jokes every now and then. To make her feel comfortable, first thing, always. He would start to flirt, careful not to cross any line, but he made her feel so at ease that she. Flirts. Back! But that only means that he need to try try harder to see that sweet blush he loves so much😏
Ongoing Series - There Are Worse Things I Could Do
[Harrington!Reader] Your senior year was supposed to be the best one in your life. But when Jason broke up with you and turned the entire school against you by spreading rumors about you, you can count with your hand the people that talk to you. Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Max, Nancy, and Robin. But there might be a new one you can add to the list. One you never thought possible. Eddie Munson.
Argyle
One-Shot - A Kind of Magic (might become a drabble)
Anonymous - Heyo! I’m the anon who requested the learning disability imagine! Talking specifics, I’ve got major dyscalculia & a bit of dyslexia. Social anxiety also didn’t help being called on in class, but yea 😅 thanks for asking!! 🥹🥹🥹
Dialogue (Untitled)
Anonymous - So I saw your post about shy!reader x anyone and I was wondering if you could do shy!reader x argyle where he introduces you to his friends in Hawkins (the older teens) and reader doesn't have like the best experience meeting new people so their scared and wants to like not see them because they have social anxiety and like he cuddles then I'm the end ( I always need Argyle cuddles)
One-Shot - Cielito Lindo
Not requested - [Byers!Reader] Argyle is staying with your family when his parents are out of town. You know he’s been feeling down because he has to celebrate his birthday without them. So, you try to do something to cheer him up. (Sequel to Build Me Up, Buttercup)
Ongoing Series - (500 Miles)
[Hopper!Reader] After moving to California with your sister and your new family, you think maybe you’ll finally get some peace. But, of course, you are now driving across the country in your boyfriend’s pizza van, on your way back to Hawkins.
Billy Hargrove
One-Shot - Highway To Hell [Munson!Reader]
itslaqueefababy - Hey Idk if you’re taking request but since you have writers block, Maybe a Munson!reader x Billy Hargrove? Eddie and Billy hate each other and there’s a lot of drama and tension whenever they get around each other. It’s gets really annoying and out of control that reader eventually gets fed up and upset that they don’t care how she feels. She gives them the cold shoulder and silent treatment then eventually comes up with the idea to runaway on purpose for them to get along by searching for her and all? Something funny and angsty?
One-Shot - A Little Death [Mixing 2 requests] [This might be Hartington!Reader]
1. Anonymous - Where the reader breaks up with Billy because he has been toxic and Billy goes and tries to find love in other women. But he gets frustrated because they don't touch him (physically and mentally) the way the reader always did. He gets angry trying to teach them but none come close to the actual thing until he gets so frustrated that he crawls back to her and tries everything to fix it. 2. Anonymous - “I feel like I’m falling apart.” with Billy Hargrove?
One-Shot - RIP, Love [Munson!Reader]
Anonymous - Where the reader is known to break hearts. Not because its fun for her but she does it to protect herself and the person. She is convinced that whoever gets close to her heart either ends up hurting her or she ends up hurting them so she always ends it by leaving them - ultimately hurting them before they can hurt her. When Billy starts getting interested in her and she suddenly leaves just when he thought things were going good, he doesn't back down to find out why and once he does he makes it his mission to show her that he is there to stay and protect, despite being known for leaving and destroying. 2. Anonymous - since you are taking requests, could i request a Billy fic with the following prompts from the prompt list you talked about in your latest post ? "Wake up. You have to wake up. Please. For me." "Just, please don't leave me." "I don't want you to die for me. I want you to live for me." + "As you begin to fall asleep, you feel a gentle kiss pressed to your temple and a blanket draped over you."
Steddie (Steve Harrington & Eddie Munson)
One-Shot - Running Up That Hill (I keep renaming it 😂)
Anonymous - I know you have many request and this one can definitely wait, but maybe Steddie x cursed!reader?? I need some angst and idk if this would help :/ but I understand if you don’t want to! Maybe one where reader bones end up snapping in the attic? It’s like Instead of max being cursed it’s the reader :)
Drabble - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now
plk-18 asked - OK first of all i love your work!!! So I don’t know if your requests are still open and I’m really sorry if you already did something like that and I just forgot. But I would love a steddie one-shot, maybe they are not together yet but there is some sexual tension and we have a ‘only-one-bed’ situation👀🤍🤍
One-Shot - A Sunday Kind Of Love
Not requested - For six months, you had been fine with having a secret relationship with Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson. But that changes when a very special day for you approaches and you want them both by your side and for that to happen, a few rules might get broken.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Sirius Black
One-Shot - Out of The Woods [Lupin!Reader] (the request focuses more on Remus and the reader so I put it under Remus for now)
Anonymous - ahh your requests are open!! I love that!! but anyway, I could make a request where Remus has a younger sister who is a year or two below him and she discovers the way the Marauders found to help him deal with his problems during the full moons and decides what she wants to do the same for her brother but Remus doesn't allow it and they just fight about it until one night she decides to follow them anyway but ends up getting hurt because she's not an animagus like the rest of the boys? If you can make her be in an established relationship with Sirius I would appreciate it and sorry if I said something wrong this is not my first language
Drabble (Untitled)
oursilversoul - Heyy❤️ could yo write a Sirius black x slytherin reader where they somehow end up dancing together in the Yule ball with an enemies to lovers undertone? Thank you I love you soo much :)
Ongoing Series - Just Give Me A Reason
[Snape!Reader] Coming back for another year in Hogwarts meant you and your brother were away from your worst tormentor. But when your school tormentor finds out about it, things are about to change and you are not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. (Warning: mentions of abuse)
Remus Lupin
Dialogue (Untitled)
Anonymous - Hiii i don’t know if u are writing now but i’d love to read your take on remus being unconscious for a prolonged amount of time after transformation and fem!reader taking care of him and talking to him. fast forward to him waking up and confessing he heard everything she said while he was sleeping. i just love the way you write and it would be fun to read it!!
Drabble (Untitled for now)
2. Anonymous - HI! Could you do the prompt “We’ve been by each other’s sides for years, you think I’m gonna leave now?” With Remus Lupin where they're still in school and someone really close to the reader (like someone in their immediate family) died and the reader is miserable and asks Remus not to leave her too? Btw your work is amazing!
Ongoing Series - Too Good At Goodbyes
Twelve years ago, Lily and James Potter were brutally murdered. Twelve years ago, Sirius Black was sent to Azkaban for a crime he did not commit. Twelve years ago Remus Lupin left you to take care of a one-year-old Harry on your own. Twelve years ago Severus Snape was the only person who was there for you. And now, Remus is back to teach at Hogwarts with you, as Harry courses his third year, and Sirius Black escaped Azkaban.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Charlie Weasley
She Is Love (One-Shot) [Mixing 2 requests]
1. Anonymous - something about a shy reader, who's friends with the twins. Charlie and the reader have a crush on each other and he loves to see her blush and get all nervous, so it's like his mission to make her blush a lot, she kinda likes it though. But when someone else does try to tease the reader, not in a comfortable way, unfortunately, Charlie comes to the rescue and later on confesses his feelings. 2. Anonymous - I am begging for Charlie kissing shy!reader for the first time please
One-Shot - I'm Yours [Mixing 2 requests]
1. Anonymous - One where he gets jealous because of how close you’ve always been to Fred and George, even though Charlie really has nothing to worry about. 2. Anonymous - I have a dialogue request for Charlie Weasley and “Pay attention to me” where maybe the reader is friends with the twins and she’s having a ‘situation’ with charlie that no one knows about?
Drabble (Untitled)
Anonymous - Hi friend! Can I interest you in a dialog prompt for Charlie Weasley and “I’m sorry but I love you and I’m not going anywhere?”
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Evan Buckley
Drabble or One-Shot (Untitled)
Anonymous - Could I request a Buck x plussize reader? One where someone says something mean about the reader and buck defends her and comforts her after? Idk I just feel like I need some buck fluff in my life 😂
Drabble or One-Shot - Late Night Talking
Anonymous - Can you write a Buck x reader fic where they both work at the 118 and are really good friends. They both have a crush on each other. One night reader comes to visit him at his apartment because she doesn't want to go home(she still lives with her parents and they have a argument or something) Buck is happy to see her but also knows that something is wrong. They spend some time together and maybe there is a love confession at the end.
Eddie Diaz
Drabble or One-Shot - Cramps
Anonymous - One being eddie and the reader are going about they're day. Reader feels unwell but thinks nothing of it until they get back from a call/at the end of one and reader has appendicitis so they rush her to the hospital? Eddie is there when she wakes up and looks after her.
Drabble or One-Shot - Proposal
Anonymous - eddie is planning to propose to reader and he's all fluffy and cute about it?? Maybe gets Chris involved and the team are congratulating them? All fluffy and cute again.

any guesses as to how max and lando both wound up sick. just curious.
[cn: cheating]
"You haven't sucked me off for ages," Lando pouts. Max nearly chokes on his mouthful of avocado toast.
"Mate." His ears are turning pink, he can't look at Pietra. "What the fuck."
"Well it's true, you haven't." Lando says it primly, goes back to demolishing some poached eggs with gay - literally - abandon. Like he hasn't just derailed Max's life for the fiftieth and possibly worst time this week.
He's going to have to do it at some point so he glances round at Pietra, who at least doesn't look completely disgusted with him, just like she's contemplating ways to kill Lando. Which he's fully onboard with, actually. It could be a new date concept, if Lando's going to insist on coming along.
"No, I haven't," is all he can muster as a response.
-
The thing is. The thing is that Max knows he's being a little bit of a hypocrite on a whole bunch of levels. Because he used to come on all Lando and Luisa's dates and fill in all the ways Lando's a rubbish boyfriend by being a better one and she didn't seem to mind that Lando just doesn't count sleeping with Max as anything, so they'd carried on doing it. Max is also pretty good at being Lando's boyfriend, in terms of getting him to act normally.
But Max should've known it wasn't going to work the other way around. He'd been so careful to keep them separated, at first. Partly out of fear Pietra would realise he's very much not an F1 driver and realise she could do better but much more out of knowing this wasn't going to go down well with either of them. It's a hard sell "hey can my best friend, who's chronically weird, hang out with us all the time and also sometimes he has to spoon me for emotional support."
He's tried to find things in it for Pietra but she could go to Monaco anyway and have a more normal time. She's not that keen on coming to grand prix, although he thinks she would if it was his racing and let's not take that train of thought too far to the depression station.
And Lando can't act normal about him and Max doesn't want him to. Was maybe trying to provoke this by getting a girlfriend in the first place - which isn't fair, that's not why he's dating her, it's just that something makes him want Lando's attention as much as Lando wants to give it to him and if they could ever just make that work they'd probably be a lot more normal.
The problem, really, is that Lando feels much more like forever than his girlfriend does. Which is pretty cursed, especially when he's openly sabotaging Max in the middle of brunch.
-
She doesn't bring it up with him, probably because there's nothing to talk about. Max had caved under about one minute of scrutiny from her about the nature of his relationship to Lando and then promised they weren't like that anymore and then slept with Lando the second he touched down in Nice.
Which is bad. He knows it's bad. He objectively knows this is bad boyfriend stuff and he doesn't want to be that, he wants to make things work and be in love and get married and have kids. Be normal - except that he can't.
It's like the stupid mess in his brain. He could just not have whatever makes him demotivated and mopey for days on end and it'd be better. Simpler, at least. Make more sense for the way his life's supposed to be going but instead he's had Lando fussing over him for a week because Max accidentally said some depressed stuff even though he'd been pretending that wasn't really going on anymore and now Lando's trying to add every possible enrichment to his enclosure.
Which is how they've ended up in Max's bedroom, Lando's hair freshly clipped and stream done, with Lando trying to get his cock in Max's mouth.
"Will you," he bats Lando's hand away from his hair, "just stay still and let me do this?"
"I'm trying to help." Lando sounds way too aggrieved for a man about to get a blow job. "It's been so long maybe you've forgotten how to - ah"
Max hums, knowing how good that feels when someone's got their mouth round your dick and then relaxes his throat, leans into it. Feels himself drooling on Lando's dick at the same time as Lando settles back into the mattress, sighs out how much he's enjoying it.
"Ah, that's so good - you're so good."
It's embarrassing how easily taken apart Max is by the praise.
Lando's fingers thread through his hair and he doesn't fight it, this time. "I missed you, baby," Max groans at the nickname, dick twitching. "I missed this, missed us."
It's a good job there's a dick halfway down Max's throat so he can't say anything stupid like 'me too, buddy.'
Lando's leaking already, messy in Max's mouth when he swipes his tongue over the head, lapping at it. He always gets so needy for it, whimpering and whining and pushing his hips up in desperate little circles - it's like the opposite of the way he fucks Max, all deliberateness. Like this he's just a helpless kitten, biting his own fist to try and stifle the noises he's making.
Max pulls off for a second, strokes Lando's hip, when he's getting really desperate. "It's ok," he says, trying to guide Lando, get him to turn the overwhelming sensation into a conclusion and Lando just whimpers again, biting his lip.
He comes into Max's mouth a minute later, back arching and Max lies down, head on Lando's tummy, to kiss his heaving abs afterwards. Lando pulls him up after a minute, holds him and Max's erection isn't so urgent he can't enjoy it for awhile.
When Lando returns the favour, chaotically sucking Max's balls while he's jacking him off, it doesn't take long either for Max to come or for the guilt to sink in. He can't come up with an excuse for why he can't stop doing this, only the inevitability that he won't.
-
They both claim their sore throats are from golfing or the rain or hayfever or something. Lando smuggles Max back to Monte Carlo two days later and fucks him in every room.

Thinking Many Thoughts about your Family Tree but mostly the brocedes stuff lmk if ur vibing with this little Non Racing AU i just came up with
George was their first when they were way way young didn’t really know what they were doing and george was already like 8 or 9
Kimi was the “marriage saver” they had through surrogate, the mother died in childbirth so to honor her Kimi has her last name
George was a teenager with his own life/plans when Kimi was born, he didn’t really care and knew his parents marriage was essentially over already despite them insisting it wasn’t
Messy battle in court but Nico wins custody of Kimi and while Lewis gets George
, George chooses emancipation and spends senior year with Alex’s family, citing that his trust in his dads was ruined after so many empty promises of fixing the relationship and not following through
Later down the line, Lewis is dating again and working on fixing his relationship with george and sends a box of presents to Kimi every christmas
He meets Valterri on a dating site George set him up on
About 4 months into their relationship, valterri admits that he’s fostering a girl named Doriane and that she was a very important element of his life and that if it was a dealbreaker, they should stop now
They don’t.
Valterri, George, and Doriane convince Lewis to reach out to Nico again. Just to talk about Kimi.
After several tenuous meetings, they agree to a new custody arraignment, incorporating holidays and summer vacation into the previous no contact.
Nico moves back to Lewis’s area when Kimi is entering High School. His relationship with Valterri is kinda more of a coparenting situation now, though much more amicable than his and Nico’s
Dory is very protective of Kimi once the two finally start getting to know each other. They’re closer in age than they are to George so it feels like actual siblings
Kimi is shy and awkward and cause he was new he was labeled “weird” at his new high school
Dory asks one of her old teachers (who has Kimi now) to help him get out of his shell
This teacher (whom i am imagining as Max Verstappen) decides the best way to do that is by sitting him next to the Loud Kid
Who is also kinda an outcast, strange and socially awkward, and is Ollie Bearman
He also just so happens to be under the guardianship of his godfather Charles Leclerc
Who is the son of one of Lewis’s exes sebastian from his uni days
(ik in ur tree that’s different but i couldn’t fit it in with The Vision pls forgive)
Anyway the Actual Golden Retriever Ollie Bearman gets Kimi out of his shell
While George—still in the progress of fixing his relationship with Nico—and Alex get engaged and adopt a elementary age Abby Pulling
Who emulates her father in the worst ways possible
Total teachers pet, total know-it-all and totally everything George has ever wanted in a child
However she is a huge nature fan, she jumped out a second story window chasing a cat and once stuck a “kick me” sign on George’s back so she’s every bit Alex as well
Anyway yeah, totally just Came To Me feel free to hate/critique. U know i’m an Ollie girlie so Kimi’s whole vibe is new (hence why all my bearnelli fic are Ollie POV) feel free to give me any commentary
😦

Fine Dining 3
The Lost Boys
male reader
PART 1 PART 2
After a ride that felt both torturous and weirdly peaceful, David pulls his motorcycle up to my garage door before flipping the kill switch and helping me off the bike.
“So this is yours? Seems like somewhere Y/N Y/L/N would live.” He leans against his bike, watching as I enter the code. “Oh?” I don’t say anything else as I duck under the rising garage door, stopping once I reach the interior door.
“Yeah it’s small, semi secluded, but the shade of blue you’ve painted the outside makes it impossible to ignore, even if it’s the worst blue I’ve ever seen.” His face breaks out into a smug grin, eyes locked onto my face once again as he looks for a reaction.
“Small? You’re three inches taller then me at best and that’s when you wear heels David, not exactly the tallest either. Besides I didn’t choose the house color, just like I didn’t chose to be stuck with you tonight, things just happen that way.” Maybe that will bring that cocky bastard down a peg. I don’t break eye contact with him as I twist the knob of the interior down, satisfied with the quick glimpse of shock that passes over his face. David quickly composed himself, moving to stand with his arms crossed in front of the open garage.
“Wow, feeling feisty tonight kitten. For the record, the heels only add an inch, so I’m still taller. But I guess things like that are why a cocky bastard like me hasn’t been invited to come inside yet? I did drive all the way out here, it’s the least you could do for my efforts.” He has an annoyingly cute tight lipped grin on his amused face, scrunching his nose quickly at the end of his sentence.
“Get out of my mind, that shits invasive. And Oh yeah? What happened to it being no trouble puppy?” I turn to face the darkness of my house, praying that he missed at least one time I blushed tonight.
“Puppy? I don’t think you can pull off calling me that Y/N. Just let me come in, for a moment.” I take a deep breath before turning my head back around, body freezing for a moment when he once again finds my eyes.
“Yes I can David, and if you’re so desperate, I guess you can come in for a second. But you still need to work out what ever problem you had with Dwayne earlier.” He walks past me silently, quickly starting to examine my belongings. Thank god the house isn’t a mess. I turn on the lights in the kitchen and sit down at the dining table as I watch him move around the room, neither of us making any sound for a while. Opening the pantry, he breaks the silence; “so what’s the point of this plan anyway Y/N? Pretending to date him can only lead to two things, neither of them are options you’d like.” He pulls out a bag of plain chips, holding them up with a questioning look.
“Ok first of all, I eat them with dip. Second, what are you talking about? It’s one awkward dinner with Max, a few weeks of little white lies and we can say it didn’t work out. Done” I walk to the fridge and pull two waters and the dip out, going back to the table as David sits in the chair across from mine opening the bag.
“ you forgot somethings Y/N. Max isn’t stupid but he is an asshole. He’s either gonna know you lied, resulting in either death or turning as a punishment, or he believes it and forces you to turn so his son keeps his boyfriend forever. Are you really willing to be stuck with Dwayne as a boyfriend?” He dips his chip and settles into his chair. Probably already thinking of taunts for being right.
“What’s wrong with Dwayne? He’s a nice guy, kinda cute, and isn’t he like your brother? Why are you being mean?” My eyes widen a little when David growls, the icy blue I’m used to looking at becoming yellow. He moves to box me into my chair so quickly I couldn’t even see it, voice coming out deep and raspy when he speaks.
“He’s not right for you kitten. Don’t say there’s a possibility you’d like him ever again, you’re not his.” My confusion only grows, I don’t know David extremely well but I do know that he doesn’t let emotions or little things get large reactions out of him. I try to put some space between us, but he pushes my chair closer and turns my head facing him, only now I see what I assume is his full vampire form. Any other day behavior like this and seeing a transformation would freak me out, but something in his eyes is drawing me in, giving me the same butterflies his human face does.
“Hey, calm down David. I’m not gonna date Dwayne for real, he’s not my type. Why are you so pissed, we barely know each other.” He hesitates to answer, taking heavy breaths but staying in the same position as before, maybe a bit closer. Deciding to take a bold move, I hold the side of his face and it begins to return to normal. Only yellow irises remain, and with one final deep breath he answers my questions.
“Vampirism is a fascinating thing Y/N. It has many benefits that take a long time to learn and experience. There’s this thing, very rare thing, where a vampire will see someone and everything will click. Apparently, if this happens it means he has found his fated mate. The two will then be tied together if they continue to interact. Do you understand what I’m telling you Y/N?” I keep staring in his eyes, piecing together all the little things that now make sense. Him avoiding interacting with me when we first met wasn’t disinterest, it was him trying to ignore this pull, the same one I felt.
“Why’d you wait to tell me?” I rub my thumb against his cheek, going over every second I’ve known David for more clues I missed.
“Because you don’t want my life Y/N. Human emotions and thoughts are so easy to read, even if we weren’t mates. I can feel every time your stomach twist when Marko jokes about feeding. The second of panic you feel when one of us missed a spec of blood when washing off. You’re scared of us kitten. You’ve made it clear you don’t want to turn.” His eyes are like a pool, sadness and empathy swimming lap after lap.
“When you feel everything,” I lick my lips and try to calm my racing heart before continuing, “ do you also feel the shivers when you say my name? The electricity when you grabbed my hand?” I move our faces even closer, resting my forehead on his before whispering, “the desire to learn more, to know you David. I want to try this, I want to try us.”
Within a second David connected our lips, shrugging off his jackets before pulling away for only a moment.
“What my boy wants, he shall receive”

This is REALLY FUCKING LONG so hope y’all enjoy lmao. (Sorry if formatting looks weird- blame tumblr)
OK HERE WE GO PEOPLE- I will start by saying I don’t hate The Quarry. I like it very very much, but I think that it could be BETTER. Speedrun what I find lacking in the game.
1. There’s literally no ending
2. Some characters having no personality (looks at Abi and Nick)
3. Honestly they don’t feel like friends/ people who’ve worked with kids for a summer
4. They move from area to area with little reward/ purpose in the end. (Looks at Junkyard scene- like wtf was that for)
5. Also- some choices just- don’t make sense (looks at Dylan cutting off his whole ass hand with a old ass chainsaw/ fucking gun and doesn’t immediately die from blood loss/ has no worry about possible infection afterwards.)
Listen- I get that it’s supposed to be like a cheesy slasher film (“that what the VCR box covers are for” I KNOW) but I really did not get that feeling AT ALL when playing. It just felt like bad writing at times.
SO! Here’s my version: The Quarry starts off like a cheesy slasher film (beginning of the game is mostly the same- Max and Laura’s little horror movie moment, wanting to stay a day longer bc of Emma, cheesy fire pit scene…)- with all the characters playing up a certain archetype ( Emma- “popular girl”, Jacob- “stupid jock”, Nick- “try hard nice guy”, Abi- “quite nerd”. Kaitlyn- “headstrong leader”, Dylan- “comic relief”, Ryan- “brooding loner”) to 1000%, to the point where it’s almost cringe worthy. (If you can’t predict whatever stupid ass line they’re gonna say next- I don’t want it.) BUT THEN- as the night goes on they gain more depth and shit. Idk this can tie into a parallel/metaphor of the werewolf where these teens are changing into people they’re not- becoming a monstrous version of themselves in their eyes??? Idk I’m spitballing, don’t think about it too deeply.
The Hag of Hacketts Quarry will play a bigger part in the actual story- wanting revenge against the Hacketts and supernaturally influencing the teens and the wolves to try and kill all the Hacketts. The Hacketts ARE NOT ASSHOLES FOR NO REASON- they are a normal family (who treats Ryan like family too) who are trying their best to fix the mess they made, in the worst way possible. This way- the player can morally struggle if they decide to end the Hackett family bloodline.
(Beware- it is truly so long beneath this read more- I sincerely thought about just putting a link to somewhere you can read this but thought that was too much effort for everyone involved. Have fun :D)
I went really in-depth in my jumbled notes, including what different choices would look like, but I’ll follow my “Best Ending” Route bc it’s the one that gives everyone a chance to shine.
DA CHARACTERS AND THEIR ARCS:
- Dylans pretty fine as is. Add that he feels like a liar to Ryan and can’t truly date him cause he’s been putting on a persona all summer. Overcompensates with humor
- Kaitlyn- very confident in who she is (anyone who’s that good with a gun automatically is lol)- but also has bad anxiety attacks or something. Like she’s very go with the flow and know what she’s about but if she thinks about her life and future too long that’s when she starts to spiral. A true “try to casually dismiss all the problems in my life” kinda gal. (Same bestie)
- Jacob: similar to original but needs to play up his heart more, shows he really cares for his friends. Have him be very sacrificial. He’ll act like a stereotypical bro jock at first but he’ll reveal his true himbo nature later on. He acts goofy bc it makes people/the kids laugh the most but feels like maybe he’s too annoying at times/ pushes it too far.
- Emma: A pretty big influencer, convincing Hackett that a “day to day” vlog about the camp and councilors will help bring popularity/ positively impact reputation. Have her constantly blogging and preforming for the camera. Arc will be her hating that and wanting to quit but not wanting to let people down.
- Abi: Needs more personality in general. Have her go from reserved and walk overy to self confident and brave. Have her be crafty and smart (picking locks, putting together the truth?, getting out of situations cleverly).
- Fucking Nick: needs the most work of all. Why tf is he British? That’s his only personality bro. He feels like he needs to conform, his accent makes him feel like he stands out too much and people secretly make fun of him. All the other councilors have been working together for years, but he’s just joined the team this summer so he feels extra out of place. He’s a try hard, sucking up to Jacob a lot- he doesn’t need to tho, Jacob likes him as a friend/ as he is.
- Ryan just needs to either get over denial faster or make it very obvious he’s in denial and have others call him out. Main problem people had with him was he was kinda on Chris’ side, was defending them/he looked sus as hell. Highlight his relationship with the Hacketts more. Show that he’s like family to them. Also should show people look to him as their natural leader- have the others respect him more. Have him seem aloof because he didn’t really know how to interact with others, and sometimes the feelings don’t feelings so he can’t communicate/ emote his emotions that well. Would rather be seen as brooding and mysterious then incompetent at emotion.
Ok Major Backstory changes that the story revolves around-
- THE HAG HAS A BIGGER INVOLVEMENT. Basically everything’s gone to shit cause of her/ her want of revenge. Thought tonight is the perfect opportunity (all the teens there- scare them into killing Hacketts/ send Turned wolfs after Hacketts)
- Chris’ kids were being kept in the electric cages in the basement (for reasons explained later). The Hag caused a power outage that night so that’s how they escaped into the wild.
- Play up an unexplained anger towards the Hacketts/ Chris when things go to shit (it’s the Hags influence in an effort to make them kill the Hacketts)
- Only the brothers (cousins? I forgot what they were) go after the councilors, and there’s not a single thought behind those eyes so thought it was best to kidnap and hide the teens until dangers over to not risk them knowing the Truth TM.
- Ryan can only romance Dylan- sorry Kaitlyn but there was 0 chemistry/ scenes in the original so… (Also that stupid “thing” between Lauren and Ryan doesn’t exist cause it’s so pointless.)
Story lets go:
Beginning will stay mostly the same- again, play up archetypes and makes super cheesy. Jacob will take the car piece/ cut fuel line because he wants to “hang with Emma one more night” (Or so he says). Have Ryan step up after Chris leaves and be more instant that they stay in the cabin and the player can choose wether they do or don’t. (If they stay inside no one can get bit.)
Sine we’re going best ending- everyone stays inside. Just move fire pit scene to a fireplace setting. Emma and Jacob still get snacks/ gun after approval from Ryan and a promise to stick together. Have everyone play up their respective archetypes more/ longer and establish relationship dynamics. The power goes out (cause of the Hag) and the campers decide to crowd around the fireplace.
Fire place is where real personalities start to show. HIGHLIGHT HOW THEY ARE ALL FRIENDS. I mean ffs they worked with kids with each other for a whole summer (and have worked with each other previous summers), they should interact more comfortably with each other. They can talk about their summer with the campers and stupid horror stories of working with little kids during summer. Can acknowledge how they self censor themselves unconsciously etc. Have that be a set up for whatever ridiculous swears they say.
Etc etc, truth or dare- Kiss Dylan/ Kaitlyn will impact how much Ryan like Dylan back (along with how many flirty dialogue was picked). Emma and Nick- both will look hesitant but will both go through with the kiss dare (Emma being super showy about it and filming it while Nick doesn’t want to be called a coward). No one runs off cause that stupid and who tf runs off into the dark forest bc your crush kissed someone else 💀. Just show Jacob being sad and Abi also being sad but also kinda accepting her fate cause she didn’t think she was good enough for Nick anyways. Cue Awkward Tension that Dylan breaks with a joke. Emma then dare Abi to, idk, move everything in Hacketts office over by an inch. Nick volunteers to help (cause he saw how sad/ understanding she looked and wanted to talk) and they head off. Jacob says he’s gonna take a breather but Emma knows what’s up and follows him eventually.
Nick and Abi have conversation/ interaction similar to original game in Hacketts office. (“Ha, so are we actually gonna move everything?” “Let’s just move his stapler and wait for a few minutes ha, I’m not moving everything.” *Then they talk or whatever*)
Meanwhile Emma meets up with Jacob- she complains a bit or whatever and asks why Jacobs so bothered since they’re not together anymore. Reveal that Jacob never got a straight answer as to why, other then a vague “long distance won’t work”, and asks if she even truly liked him in the first place or if he actually was some summer fling. Emma will look hesitant but then BOOM GUNSHOTS ARE HEARD NEARBY (it’s the brothers trying to tranc at a werwolf trying to get in the cabin).
Everyone obviously gets concerned. They can hear scratching, whatever, more gunshot, essentially near their window. The brothers come knocking on the door, and that’s when shit goes down, everyone has to hide and run away. Would be a hold breath situation that you can fail or win as they break into the cabin. If win, Jacob will decide to eventually self sacrifice cause the brothers were close to Dylan and Abi or something. Shouts and runs out causing the brothers to follow him. After they leave Dylan says they should get help via the radio shack. Emma, Abi and Nick go to find Jacob (Nick has the gun) Dylan, Kaitlyn and Ryan go to shack after taking Chris gun.
Emma, Nick and Abi find Jacob caught in a trap yelling, the brothers putting blood on face. If Jacob took the car piece, it’ll be lost as he’s trashing around. They can eavesdrop to what they are saying into walkie talkie to gain some context early on or attack straight out. Attack sequence. Abi and Nick will team up against two hunters while Emma gets Jacob out. The hunters aren’t trying to kill them so they’re like, trying to knock the teens out at best. Cue Abi and Nick fighting for their lives lmao. Emma will get Jacob out, and you can fail the fight resulting in Nick and Abi getting captured. However, best case scenario, you pass the quick time events and everyone will run as soon as Jacobs free. Will head to the radio shack.
Jacob and Emma will hang back and try to pick up the convo they started in the cabin on way to radio shack. Maybe start to dive into the problem of Emma’s want to not disappoint her fans and how that’s affected how she acts with Jacob. Abi and Nick will also talking. Idk maybe they’ll try to compare themselves to Emma and Jacob. Like the Nick will feel like how he doesn’t fit in/ not as outgoing as Jacob, Abi feeling the same about Emma. Everyone will eventually group together together to speculate wtf is happening.
Meanwhile- Kaitlyn will hover a good distance ahead of Dylan and Ryan cause she knows what’s up with them. Says it’s to protect their sorry asses since she’s the best with a gun but is really wingmaning for Dylan lol. The conversation bw Ryan and Dylan being the same as in game cause that was cute. At shacks, everything’s mostly same with Kaitlyn hanging by the door to be on watch (she will also provide biting commentary when Dylan does his famous SOS speech etc.
K- “Wow I can’t believe I’m the only one in possession of a brain cell here.”
D-“Hey- You we’re supposed to hand over custody of it hours ago”
K-“well clearly you’ve failed to pick it up at the specified time so I’m keeping it for the weeken-“
R-“Holy shit guys can we focus on not dying rn please”)
Dylan won’t ask to amputate arm bc that so stupid and unrealistic without proper medical equipment. He will be bit if opened door in first chapter with Abi, no choice to cut off arm/ stop effects. But in Best RouteTM Abi doesn’t opens the door. Continue as usual with the second group arriving, hiding in the cabin and attracting the wolf, and Dylan chasing it away with radio frequency. The group meets up, (Could include Emma’s air freshener/mace scene with Dylan when he opens the cabin door bc that shit was funny) and hears Lauren injuring the daughter. (Ok I thought long an hard about it but I think the player should have the opportunity to save all the Hacketts. I can’t make it possible to save everyone but one- it’s not very rewarding. SO INSTEAD- she only injured the daughter but thinks she killed Chris because 1) she couldn’t get close to the body to verify with all the councilors immediately rushing onto the scene and 2) thought that just shooting a silver bullet would do the trick and didn’t think much about aiming for the head/ heart- so she just got her in like the leg). The teens will see this Thing passed out by the water- that’s clearly not a bear- and freak tf out. The immediately hide in the swimming pool area. The daughter wolf will be heard retreating bc she’s got this bullet scorching her from the inside in her leg and is weak from the water puddles near the pool.
Ok here Jacob will confess to messing with the car. Bc that didn’t get talk about at all in game. Everyone will be outraged of course. Emma will be like wtf are you serious rn. Jacob defends himself like “I just wanted to talk- I felt like we wouldn’t get another chance- I just wanted tonight to be fun I literally had no idea this was gonna happen.” Admit he lost the piece if he took it. Eventually Ryan says he forgives him. Some people (Emma? Abi?) can be like wtf but Kaitlyn will chime in and agree like- “it’s in the past, there’s literally nothing we can do. If werwolves weren’t a thing this probably would have been the best night ever, just hanging with you all one last time.” Everyone will reflect on that- Jacob will look grateful. Ryan will agree like, “we need to keep our heads on straight anyways- Kaitlyn is 100% right- it’s in the past. Lets focus on what to do next/ how to survive”
(If either Abi, Nick got bit - here would be a transformation/ shooting scene, similar to the original, but since this is the Best Route and no one’s bit we shall move on)
Nervous breakdowns time (yay) especially from Ryan. He keeps trying to keep the situation under control and downplay/ logic his way out through increasingly ludicrous excuses. Dylan will call him out/ calm him down (though this can be done by Kaitlyn if Dylan’s romance points are low). Big Time will pass with them trying to think of what to do and passing back and forth information/ evidence player has collected when Laura knocks. They’ll move to main room to crowd around door. Continue as game. Have Ryan act more leader-ly with the others huddling together behind Jacob, and Kaitlyn (who still have both guns bc it’s stupid how one of them gets lost in the original game) who are on either side of Ryan. Continue as usual as Laura explains where she’s been.
Everything there’s the same. Backstory wasn’t wasn’t awful in my opinion. Travis asks for help, she agrees yadda yadda. HOWEVER- I think his reasoning for her helping him was a bit shit tho. So- he’s kept her there to watch her boyfriend turn to convince her that helping him will save Max (Bigger chance of finding them, if only slightly though he’ll take any help at this point). She’ll agree bc it’s canon she’ll do anything to save Max. Hell, LET TRAVIS ACTUALLY BRING HER HIS FINDINGS AND PLAN SHIT WITH HER (but he doesn’t tell her everything- just enough info to plan to kill Silas). They’ll work as a ACTUAL TEAM and wait till the next full moon. Time skip a month, plan is Laura and Travis will split up trying to find the wolf in the woods. Laura brings Max cause she doesn’t want him locked up alone/ doesn’t fully trust Travis to not pull some shit. Understands Silas has an attachment to that burnt circus and focuses there before spreading out. Boom power outage happens, Travis gets called to house. Laura goes on to “kill” the daughter thinking it’s Chris, yadda yadda, visit island, etc. She’ll note Max escaped (because be fr no way a werwolf is bested by a fucking locked trapped door when he can just burst through the roof or something) and gets chased off the island similar to Emma in the original (QTE and all). NOTE: There will be another wolf who joins the chase near the end (Spoiler alert- it’s Chris cause he knew he wouldn’t be able to make it to the cages in time) If she fails enough QTE she has her werewolf bite, but again- Perfect Route so that doesn’t exist and her eye will forever be fucked (Kinda cheep for them to give her this gruesome injury only to magic it away :/).
Present day. Cue pissed off everyone about how Chris/ the Hacketts willingly put them and LITTLE KIDS in danger. Play up that unexplained anger in everyone, though Ryan’s is a bit more low-key. Laura learns of the power outage, that the thing she shot wasn’t dead - and says “welp I don’t have time for this I’m off to hunt Chris’s ass down for real this time.” Have Ryan intervene and convinces her to let him talk to the Hacketts to properly explain what tf is happening. Again, the Hacketts are not assholes cause that’s cheap. Really have Ryan drive home that he thinks of them like family and Vice versa. (Cause like Chris cares for him, he’s on good standing with his kids, if the parents/brothers lives on campus why isn’t he good with them too???) Have Ryan pled with her to not harm the Hacketts. That he’ll help her hunt down Silas (They all will- everyone volunteers) and their best bet is gathering all the info from the source. Offers to take her to the Hacketts residence so they can hear the explanation together (half because he doesn’t trust her not to go off by herself and kill Chris). Laura agrees cause they might also have an idea where Chis is, but is willing to at least hear what they have to say. Meanwhile Emma, Jacob, Abi and Nick will head back to camp while Dylan and Kat go to find a car part to replace. Kaitlyn will say only her and Dylan will go bc it has less a chance of someone else getting hurt and really what’s one more person gonna help against a friking werwolf. Ryan agrees and everyone splits off, each group having a gun for protection.
IN THE CABIN:
The gang will hole up in Chris’s office bc staying in the cellar is useless and scary.
Nick and Abi will hang by the bedroom/ be elsewhere while Emma and Jacob finally get the the root of their problems in the main room. Similar to Abi and Emma’s convo in the original, perhaps Emma is trying and failing to maintain her persona as she’s record everything for evidence/ diary log sake. Jacob will ask why she’s still pandering to an audience. He says that he felt like he rarely spent time with the real her. Emma has her heart to heart where she feels like it’s all she has- how she understands it’s why their relationship was so strained in the first place but couldn’t break free from her following that easily. She broke up with him not cause of lack of wanting to make long distance work or lack of love but because she felt like he didn’t deserve to date someone like her: their entire relationship being founded and so tightly integrated with this fake personality she’s created. Like said before- she hates it and what it’s done to her life but it feels like a switch she can’t turn off sometimes and the guilt of letting down people who constantly praise her for being a source of happiness and entertainment is enough to stop her from attempting to fix that. Jacob listens and understands- he felt at times he was putting on a tough/goffy act like she does. Cause it makes people smile the most. That he’s not sure if his everyone even likes him all that much or if he’s too annoying. Plus he feels responsible and super guilty for everyone being stuck here.
Abi and Nick will then interrupt saying they’ve heard enough - having eavesdropped on the whole convo.
Abi and Nick will say theirs heart to hearts to those two. Abi starts by saying that Emma has no reason to fear everyone being disappointed in her because she’s awesome the way she is. Emma never really played up the part around Abi that much since she doesn’t like the camera/is camera shy so she know how Emma really acts (which isn’t that different from the persona she plays. Her friendliness and her kindness of reaching out to anyone not included is very much there) . Claims that the true followers don’t like her for the drama she creates but the kindness and affection she has towards her friends and the kids. Goes on to complement her and her people skills. She understands her following is important to her but tells her that she really has no reason to be afraid to reveal her true self since she’s already so great, that the people who really love her content will stick around.
Nick could bring up the kiss dare between him and Emma- how unhappy she looked after. Say that he held his tongue bc he felt like he didn’t have the right to say anything since he’s not THAT close with her- but now says that he see how taxing performing all the time is on her- and how she deserves to be able to do whatever she wants.
THEN he rears to Jacob to say AND YOU WDYM YOURE TOO ANNOYING??? YOU LITERALLY SACRIFICED YOURSELF FOR EVERYONE WDYM YOU THINK EVERYONE HATES YOU? He reassures that while he was really PISSED at him for messing with the car- before everything turned to shit it WAS a fun night and it honestly Chris’s fault for hosting a fucking kids camp while being a werwolf/ near werwolf ground. He goes on to say his insecurities- that Jacob is the only guy to make him feel included. That he was the one who constantly reached out to Nick when Nick felt outcasted because he’s a new counselor and his accent (idk kids would probably mildly make fun of that shit and he’s been mocked in the past so not good combo ig) Jacobs his roll model- and perhaps he’s been trying a little too hard to fit in but he wants to be liked in the same way everyone likes Jacob.
Abi agrees and says how Jacob would always reach out to her and Ryan (two of the more shyer members of the group) whenever they did something. It pushed her out of her comfort zone but it was honestly what she needed- otherwise she wouldn’t have been as close with/ even talked to the others now. Goes on to say he was a good person who helped whoever needed it- counseled or kid.
THEN A WERWOLF HOWLES IN THE DISTANCE (or wherever the fuck they do). They’re safe but that spurs them to try and piece together everything so far. Mayhaps depending on how many clues the player finds affects if they can piece together the Hag’s revenge / can actually come up with a plan or not?
MEANWHILE- Dylan and Kaitlyn go to the junkyard to look for the part. They ALSO have a good heart to heart. Kaitlyn sees Dylan STRUGGLING IN THE TRENCHES with Ryan. Dylan thinks Kaitlyn likes Ryan cause of her little “dark brooding and mysterious joke” and tries to ask her opinion on the other councilors (But he really wants to know about her opinion on Ryan). She sees right through that shit but still messes with him- (this can 100% be a player choice to either keep going to another camper or just say “like Ryan?” lmao) like “Oh Emma? She funny as fuck and always so kind despite her popular bitch online persona. Jacob? a himbo (he’s trying), I’m jealous of Abis drawing talent like wtf, Nicks super chill and he was a riot with the kids (lmao do you know how many kids had crushes on him?)”.
Eventually Dylan will be like “don’t make me say it”- Bla bla banter- “so……. do you like Ryan??? Plz stop laughing I need to know, Kaitlyn this isn’t funny” and Kaitlyn just laughing her ass off like “boi im aroace” (ok maybe this is me projecting) but she can just say “I was JOKING LMAO IM NOT INTO HIM” and Dylan will be like“……..ok- but like what about that Laura girl do you think he’s into her? He’s probably into her right? I mean she’s so badass and she very competent which I am totally NOT so-“ and Kaitlyn will turn to him and dead-pan say “ you dumb bitch first of all she’s taken- she’s literally hunting down werewolf’s BECAUSE of her boyfriend what makes you think she’ll let Ryan’s skinny ass make a move on her?”
Romance point level will effect Kaitlyns advice. With a high amount she’ll say “plus he’s totally into you.” Cue spluttering from Dylan and lame excuses (wow this is really rom-comy) and she’s like upupupup. Now if Ryan kissed Dylan she can bring that up but if he kissed Kaitlyn then she can comment how disappointed he looked at himself. She’ll be like- “he’s so into you- I mean, I overheard you telling him about your nerdy alter ego back when we were heading for the radio. You had a total Rom-Com moment“ *cue more spluttering from Dylan* Kaitlyn will laugh but then she’ll be like “ok but seriously- that guy is really into you man. He talks more around you then anyone else- he seems interested whenever you talk- hell! You even told him about you’re nerdy science side and he was not fazed.“
“Yeah but what if he was only pretending? What if he was only interested in DJ Dylan *cue stupid hand gesture* ? I really don’t think I could handle a rejection like that for… no that’s it. I can’t handle rejection full stop.” (Insert more self deprecating things here about a feeling of fake confidence and such whenever he interact with Ryan because he can’t handle him not liking how he truly is)
“well fuck that man- I mean we’re still teens right? Listen- I know what it’s like, to be afraid of the future ok?” Kaitlyn will then go on to say how she used to meticulously worry about her future, whether she’d be able to survive the “adult world” on her own. Was constantly trying to plan for the future that she didn’t realize she was wasting her present. And it didn’t even matter anyways because it’s impossible to plan for the future. She was only supposed to be a sub councilor to cover for Jacob for a few weeks but seeing how carefree and happy Dylan, the kids, just everyone was made her realize how uptight she was about being constantly prepared for anything. She’s still afraid of what the future will hold of cause but she won’t superficial things stop what she wants to do now,- “just like I won’t let your fear of possible rejection stop you from AT LEAST shooting your shot. Like being rejected right now, would not even be close to the top worse things that have happened tonight. We’ve quite literally almost died like three times and counting and found out that werewolves are real.“ She then goes on to complement Dylan’s smarts and humor, his instinct to cheer up anyone who needs it. (“Would you honestly want to date someone you can’t be yourself around? If he doesn’t like “Dylan Dylan” that’s on HIM not YOU.”) Goes on to say that Ryan should be so LUCKY as to date a dude like him and-
“In fact… I want you to promise me. Pinky promise me you’ll ask him out at the end of this nightmare.” And Dylan will be like “lol if we survive” she’ll be like *dead pan stare* “all the more reason to survive right?” And Dylan’s like. Fuck she’s right- and Is lowkey inspired to go ask him out rn- but there is a time and a place and when better to drop a bombshell like a crush then at the end of a traumatic experience such as this- the movies always do it… so he promises- yay. (Can actually choose wether or not to confess to Ryan at the end) They continue looking for the car piece and can actually acquire it if they survive all QuickTime events and Dylan’s not bit. (Cause them not getting anything is stupid af.)
MEANWHILE MEANWHILE Ryan and Laura. Same as usual- except he will actually say something about Dylan and not his stupid ass dismissive response. No flirting bw the two of them, that was also stupid af. Ryan could quickly confess how he’s not been the best with emotions/ has never been in a relationship so he has no idea what to feel/do with Dylan. Laura can give him some advice and tell him how she feels when she’s around Max (He makes me laugh, we support each other through tough times, I tell him my fears and he understands and makes me feel safe/valid, etc.) Little oh moment for Ryan there. They show up in the room and the Hackets are merely mildly arguing about Chris and the kids running around. Travis notices Ryan and Lauren and is like tf????? Why? How tf did you get here? Ryan’s like- we fell through a hole 😔. Anyways Ryan asks for clarification- lowkey breaking down about the situation. The Hacketts are like fuckkkkk- yeah sorry man and comfort him.
EXPLANATION TIME. Travis would turn to Laura and be like- I didn’t tell you everything bc I didn’t fully trust you wouldn’t just kill my brother and she’s like “😬 yeah… I understand man” Anyways. So backstory’s mainly the same. Daughter and son free Silas-etc. THE HAG HAUNTS THEM. She wants them DEAD. Eventually learned of how to end it all - gotta kill Salis. Hunt begins with everyone gathering on full moon to try and find them. Chris and kids were kept at jail with silver painted walls at first to contain them. However couldn’t be a permanent since they were slowly building a tolerance to the silver paint and could break out. Planning to use the island, but needed to prepare it to make it totally isolated. Months ago- Travis suddenly suggested they store the others in the electric cages- in case the bars fail them now. (really he kidnapped Max and Lauren and we’re keeping them in the cells so he needed an excuse to place Chris and co. elsewhere) Says more people can keep an eye on them- they can tranq em or whatever if they get too rowdy- etc. they agree- it works and the werewolves seem to almost recognize the Hacketts- inspiring them to hold them in the cages again the next full moon (aka today). However- power outage happened and they escaped while everyone else was preparing/hunting. Mother and Father can’t leave the house (cause they old and be in the most in danger) called back Travis to protect them- sent the brothers after the kids. Again- there’s not a single though behind those eyes and they though that just kidnapping them/ covering them in blood without telling them what’s actually happening will protect them from idk the government? Preventing the information that werewolf’s exists from escaping and their involvement? They were arguing about fully telling the councilors or not since Travis already told Laura stuff and where Chris could be cause he’s not there.
Ok so NOW- Laura becomes like- progressively upset? Like tell me why tf would you endanger kids like that- why would you endanger US LIKE THAT? and like she be pointing the gun and shit- and maybe the Hag can be seen in like the corner just- lurking. And as Ryan you can intervene or not. If does he takes the gun from her and no one dies. The lights flicker (implied the hag is mad they didn’t kill a Hackett ). They then hear werewolves enter/attack the house. Travis mentions there are powerful tranqs/tranq guns in this storage esc room- tells them to get em and don’t kill any wolf that isn’t white cause that’ll be someone they know. Tranqs won’t last long so Travis will try to get the parents out of the house, suggests they do the same after they get the tranqs. They all split up. Depending on how many people turned will determine how many wolves are in the house. In this Route- it’s only Silas, the daughter and the son.
Cue quick time events, getting to the room, getting the gun, the daughter chasing them halfway through. Laura will get attacked, Ryan will pick up her shotgun and aim it- do the aim thing, make it like super quick- supposed to not do anything and he’ll be like- oh shit wrong gun and get out the tranq, and quick time events to shoot? After Ryan and Laura get the gun they go can head back in to save the others or leave.
Leaving will kill the Hacketts/ led to Ryan heading back to the cabin to wait it out with everyone else while Laura goes off to kill Chris (she figures he’s the second wolf on the island- will quickly add this route leads to the of shooting one of the two werewolves, Wolf!Max or Wolf!Chris Al la DBH style, being able to tell who to shoot via wolf’s body language/ one of the wolves recognizing her and seemingly holding back).
Travis and the brothers will be mildly injured, point the kids to other room where last saw parents, son is about to attack the mom, quick aim thing where have to shoot tranq before dad kills the son. SALIS STALKS OUT THE SHADOWS. He’s 1 v 7 so he tries to make a break for it, Laura shoots and hits his leg before it leaps out the window. Boom all Hackets saved, Hag is PISSED next time you see her.
Decide it’s best to stick together bc horror movies always get that wrong. Travis tells kids he’ll escort them back to cabin where they will hunker down till morning- it’s too dangerous to go hunting for Salis now with this many loose wolfs. Laura’s like fuck that I’m not abandoning my boyfriend- we’re killing this mf tonight or I go after Chris myself. (Present same island logic as other route). Mans is like ok- well- if we’re gonna do this we’ll need to involve everyone then- more manpower the better. So go off to cabin to plan, driving everyone in Travis’ car to get there fast.
Back at cabin they realize the connection bw Hag and Salis and how she prolly wants revenge. Cue someone being like, “yeah I was like unnaturally murderous towards Chris all night, for some reason.” And everyone’s like “you too?” Travis and co. arrive. Dylan will hug Ryan in relief- cue Kaitlyn and Laura winking it up. Talking bla bla, planning bla bla. Cabin group says their Hag/ Silas theory- Travis tells them about the daughter and sons involvement in the fire, Abi puts together maybe she wants revenge, Ryan chimes in saying they literally got attacked by all the wolves like 5 minutes ago. Decide to use Hacketts in open area as bait in to lure Salis out. Everyone else will try to tranquilize the other wolfs like last time/ lure them away in time to get Sailis alone and kill him. If got the car piece the car will be available to assist.
Boom- huge fighting/ hiding sequence. Takes place in a huge clearing surrounded by woods. Starts with Travis and parents calling out and mocking the Hag and Salis. (If councilors turned they appear here in wolf form along with Silas). Silas, the daughter and the son appear. Normal wolves appear as like allies/ backup💀. Pairs attracts attention and gets chased by regular wolfs while Laura and Kaitlyn try to kill Silas/ deal with the family. (cause they’re the best shots)
Three tranq guns- one for each other pair. The pairs being Emma/Dylan, Abi/Jacob, Ryan/Nick. ??? Idk we need the others interacting with each other.
(Emma Dylan have a sassy duo vibe. Abi exasperated by Jacobs simpleness but still appreciate his confidence and presence. Ryan and Nick are unusual besties. Know about others respective crushes and talk about them. Dylan’s romance point changes Ryan’s dialogue (“Yeah he’s so *dies in vague flailing hand gestures* ”- or “idk after tonight idt I can handle dating someone rn”))
BOOM shit goes down, the wolves appear. Starting from one duo- after running and fighting, go to next duo and switch to their pov. Lots of QTE. Have everyone interacting together as a group/ with others. Idk at least helping each other off ground/ protecting them in battle as group grows.
Meanwhile- Kaitlyn and Laura fighting for their lives against son, daughter and Silas. Travis police car will be used here to help protect the Hacketts from danger, while fixed van is used to drive out of range from attacks/ provides extra protection. Epic battle, saving Travis and parents from attacks. Brothers and parents in charge of tranqing the son and daughter. Travis body slams Silas with the fixed car, Laura shoots to immobilize him and Kaitlyn makes the final shot. Boom everyone’s saved.
Ends with everyone making it to the clearing as Kaitlyn makes final shot, Hag screams etc. Group hug with councilors, all crying with relief night is over
Actual Ending scene yay. Begins with Laura and Travis finding Max and Travis in the island. Emotional reunion with Laura and Max, her fretting over his appearance and health, Vice versa while Travis and Chris do that sibling nod. Though once Travis mentions it’s over- like truly, fully over, they hug too. Honestly, include something acknowledging the shit Travis has done/ gone through to cover his family’s asses. After they part sees Laura staring him down. Chris will then recognize Lauren and Max and start profusely apologizing, saying how he truly never meant for any of this to happen and how sorry he is for knowingly putting a lot of people in danger. Laura says she can’t speak for everyone but she won’t/can’t forgive or forget but she understands his desperation to fix things to make his loved ones back to normal. They all head back to the cabin .
Everyone else/ survivors waiting on cabin porch as sun comes up.
Dylan and Ryan pair off (Kaitlyn and Nick giving thumbs up then looking at each other like YOU??! Knew too????) Cue confession scene from Dylan- could ask for number properly (haha rule of threes). Ryan will then confess his character thing about not properly knowing what he’s feeling towards Dylan, has never really been in a relationship before, isn’t the best at showing or processing his emotions etc etc. but likes the idea of being in one with Dylan (aw- cut to Dylan being flustered as fuck as he really didn’t expect this lmao). Interaction end with Ryan offering to share his earbuds with Dylan. (“So… I’m surprised you’ve managed to keep your earbuds all night. Been listening to that podcast all night?” “Ha ha. Actually, I kinda forgot these were here. … … want to listen to the Hag episode with me and laugh at what they got wrong?” “Fuck yeah”)
Something bw Nick and Abi? Show with banter that shows a more self confident Abi and Nick. Could either stay friends or pursue the romantic relationship (honestly I can see either being good). Emma and Jacob discuss how they won’t get back together for now but will rebuild their relationship without that block of trying to impress others.
Laura and Max joins the others as Chris is seen talking with his kids and family a ways away. End with all councilors bantering with each other similar to beginning, except dynamics have changed. (Laura introduces Max properly- him and Dylan immediately hit it off- cut to Laura and Ryan rolling their eyes at their shitty puns. Kaitlyn complementing Laura’s gun skills and asking where she’s learned. Jacob congratulating Ryan, was rooting for them the whole time. Nick discussing science shit with Dylan??? Idk really- can make it feel cheesy lol, just make them interact outside of usual pairs) Eventually they all sit down- the exhaustion hitting as the sun starts peaking over the horizon. Someone ( Abi?) goes like “were all going to be traumatized for life from this night… aren’t we.” “Oh for sure” “Cant wait for the nightmares” “at least we have humor to unhealthy cope” as cop cars roll in.
Podcast bit went on too long- was good concept but way too long. Shorten that a lot + better visuals then just a screen. Maybe show the campers all listening to it in various places? Can show a bit about how/where they are outside of camp.
Yayayayayya finished! Holy hell that was a lot hope you enjoyed reading.

Shining Funeral.
Thank you for those who joined me in watching me performing random actions in Shining Live in its final moments. Your presence made the event less depressed. 💀
I thought I would just play the songs or watch some stories for one last time during the final hour. But I found that I've got some event medals left and were able to get some bangles for ur tickets and some Reiji SRs I haven't acquired. That was a pleasant surprise because it was kinda surreal doing the 100% UR gacha with all those tickets. Time went by so fast when there's so little time left for the game. An hour past like a few minutes, but I was still able to watch one last new story from a new Reiji SR I've got from the bangles. And it happened to be the Christmas story... I guess that's the perfect end for my time with the game.
I've never expected that I actually had fun in the final moments in the game, since I had a lot of bad things to say about how shitty klab handled the closing of the game, like how they refused to merge the server even when people are spamming them emails. Another thing that I didn't expect is THAT THEY CLOSE THE SERVER AT THE EXACT SECOND THE CLOCK HITS 1400 JPT LIKE WHY DO U HAVE NO MERCY FOR US. With your shitty attitude I thought the whole international server team is sleeping since the announcement of server close and now you're proving to us that you guys can actually be efficient in handling things, in the worst way possible 😭
Memories with Shining Live
I've forgot the exact date I started playing the game, and it's impossible to find it out since the account was pre-owned by my sister (and yes the birthday is set to hers so every year Reiji congratulated her birthday lmao). However what I know is that I started playing during the period of White Day Reiji gacha. He is so gorgeous in every way and I was so glad that I was able to get his card before the gacha ended (actually I kinda whaled but yeah I'm happy because sometimes you can whale and get nothing).
I was even happier when I learned about his story. His story told me that I can do good things with my talents as long as I have good intentions. I thought all my talent can bring to people is hate and envy, but he helped me to start believing myself, to start drawing. Being with him in the game, learning more about him, and making memories with him in the game heals me, and adds something in my empty soul.
Shortly after joining the game, there was a Reiji SR event, the Rainy Ren event. It was a shame that I barely missed Tier 1 as my cards were awful back then and people were crazy on that event. But I was still happy that I maxed my Reiji SR. It was also a painful lesson that taught me to aim higher next time so I can guarantee the tier I wanted.
Fortunately, after the failed attempt in tiering, I got a chance to try again in the SSL Reiji event, and he was also with Natsuki in that event, who was my second boy back then. The set list is perfect as I love every songs there, but the difficulty of the set list was extremely challenging for me as I could barely finish a pro song at that time. I remember my struggle to even complete the last song Kisu wa Winku De (EXTRA). But I endured it all for Reiji, and managed to T1 it. I've got my first Rainbow Crowned Reiji UR card and I still remember the joy of accomplishment. Also the card is one of my favourite Reiji cards. Who can hate this cute boy wearing his favourite outfit and begging for a hug while laying on a cloud with rainbows 💚😭☁️🌈
And then I crowned another Reiji UR on his bday. It's crazy that I saved whaled 12k prisms for his bday gacha. It is just wild doing gacha for an hour non stop. He is still my favourite bday UR! Maybe there will be another new bday UR to top him next year but I can't get him anymore so it's safe to say he's the best bday UR. It's a shame that I will be 1 copy short of rainbow crowning my 2nd Reiji Cruise UR because my luck on the bday gacha for the rest of my gaming life suck ass.
Then is the Reiji SR for Otoya SSL event. I absolutely love this SR because he looks funny af. I made numerous memes of him 💀One of the edits is the legendary Hamji lmao
The 2nd Reiji UR event I tiered is the Treasure Hunter Reiji. Imo the card is kinda meh but NEVER... was in the list. Also it was the first time I participated in a nametrain. I believed I was Rank 6 in the picture lmao
The next event is FAR FROM MEH. IT IS MY FAVOURITE EVENT OF ALL TIME. IT IS MINEBUKI. It is the peak form of event. The song list is perfect with two of my favourite songs, Kisu wa Winku De and BLACK DEJAVU IN IT. The difficulty of BLACK DEJAVU is absolutely horrible but I managed to Ultimate Combo it and play it for hundreds of times💀I love this song so fucking much that stop playing the songs was actually the hardest part of the event, as I was trying to park my score. The Minebuki event was the first time I tried to score park and I was so happy that I parked it successfully. It required some calculations and focus to do it, which I was horrible at, but the joy of score parking was so great that I tried to do it everytime I tier for Reiji events. Besides of the event, the story of Minebuki is epic too. His bravery to emit that he has made an imperfect decision which brought harm to the people, and to try fixing the problem no matter the cost is beautiful. He may not be a perfect character but the way he burns is so beautiful, that I can't find another story in game to top it.
4152020 = the release date of BLACK DEJAVU
I even parked my play count for BLACK DEJAVU at 415 that time lol
After a looooooong wait with some Reiji SR events, he finally got another UR event, Flower Reiji. It is the longest event gap in the history to this date and the ultra short gap between his previous 2 events (2nd shortest event gap in game) only made the wait more painful lmao. Too bad that I don't like that event. The only thing that makes the event bearable for me is that Timepiece is in the list and also it's a Reiji event💀
306 = waited 306 days for a Reiji event
1202 = start of Minebuki event hahahaha
After the meh event, finally there is a HOT REIJI EVENT. I remember the reaction when I saw the event. HE IS VERY HOT. Actually the rest of the event is very average. The story is meh and the none of the songs in the list is my fav. The stats and skills are kinda trash too. But the list is interesting tho, especially for the beatmap for HURRAYx2 DREAMERS. It's like I'm dancing with Reiji while playing the song and it's the best part of the event. BUT ANYWAY HE IS VERY HOT. THAT'S IT HE IS H O T.
301 = some numbers about dart lmao
The last event I tiered in this game is Null Reiji event. He definitely won't top Minebuki but the memory I made in this event is probably the best one. It's the first (and maybe the last) Reiji event that I edited the name train for the name train group. I tried working as the main editor for them before but this one is the event of my best boy. Also THE THEME WORKS PERFECTLY WITH MY AESTHETIC. It's fucking wild to spend 40+hrs on the edits while tiering the event with 6.9M score at the same time but I enjoy every moment of it. It's the first time I parked my score for town event and there's little information on it. I almost failed it which gave me a mini heart attack but I managed to save it with good maths 😃👍🏻
699 = no. of notes for Alright, All Night (PRO)
6969 = funny number for silly Null
Conclusion
The existence of the game has changed my life. I've never thought I can truly enjoy something, and accomplish anything in my life, but this game proved me wrong. I am a horrible gamer but in this game I was able to achieve some cool stuff by score parking and creating cool stuff for the community and whaling 💀 With this game, my life is no longer blank, and I am the one who fill it with beautiful memories. I've spent so much money in the game that I literally don't know how much I've spent, but I guess it'll treat it as the cost for a therapy lmao. I think that I am strong enough to live without the game, as Reiji reminded me of the power I possess that will stay with me forever. Also Reiji is still with me! Actually idec about what they gonna do with him because I can create some Reiji content myself if I really want to.
After the closing of the game, I won't continue playing on Japan server as the experience will never be the same. I can't read Japanese so I won't be able to understand the stories in game or communicate with other gamers. It's pointless to just play for the sake of playing so I believe this is the end of my journey with Shining Live and the beginning of money saving thank god.
Here is my player info. A proof that I existed in this wonderful game. Minebuki as my pfp as he is my favourite. White Day Reiji badge as he is the one who welcomed me to the game. Cruise Reiji for yellow as he is my favourite bday card. White Day Reiji for Red. Null Reiji as Blue as I enjoyed so much in his event.
There are so many cards that I love but there are so little space in the player info... There are so many things I want to try in the game, like Rainbow Crowning more Reiji UR and doing 10M in a Reiji event, but there was so little time for me and the game. But the short period of time, the 2 years (or maybe 3 idk maths lol) I spent with Shining Live is long enough leave so many beautiful memories in my mind, and much more beautiful things can grow from them...
Thank you Shining Live.
Goodbye.

BIOGRAPHY
TL;DR
Jody pursued a career in law enforcement after losing her parents in a hit and run accident when she was a senior in high school. The culprit was never found and she vowed to help bring people to justice and give families the closure they all deserved and that she had never gotten. After the police academy, she married her long-time boyfriend Sean Mills. They settled into Sioux Falls and started their family with their son Owen. However, tragedy soon struck in the family again when he died from meningitis when he was only six years old. A few years later when he came knocking on the door, the grieving couple did not ask any questions. However, Jody refusing to question the uprising of the dead around town led to her finding out that monsters were real in the worst way possible. Sam Winchester saved her from her zombie son, but only after he had eaten Sean. After this, Jody initially became an ally to Bobby Singer and the Winchester brothers before slowly becoming a hunter herself, though, her sheriff job was always her top priority. After some time, she soon became a mother figure to many young girls affected by the supernatural, including Alex, Claire, Patience, and Kaia.
FULL BIO
Jody was born on June 16, 1976 to two loving parents Max and Laura Parker. Her childhood passed rather uneventfully. It was a normal suburban life. Unsure of what she wanted to do with her life, she struggled through most of high school with trying to find the right career path. However, tragedy struck during her senior year of high school when her parents were both killed in a hit and run on the highway, which people could only assume was due to a drunk driver since the car had crossed into ongoing traffic, causing her father to swerve. The culprit was never found, making it an easy decision for Jody to pursue a career in law enforcement to help other families get the justice she never did. Throughout the remainder of high school and college, Jody was supported by her grandmother Christine.
A few years after graduation from Sioux Falls University and the police academy, Jody married her long-time boyfriend Sean Mills. They were friends in high school but did not start dating until they were a few years into college. The two settled together in Sioux Falls, which was only a couple of hours from her grandmother’s home in Kimball. The couple had a son together which they named Owen. Jody climbed up the ranks of the police force in town and eventually ran for sheriff and won the election. Unfortunately, things did not stay good for long and Owen fell ill at only six years old with meningitis and could not be saved at the children’s hospital. Jody and Sean were beyond devastated at the sudden and tragic death, but they stayed strong and pulled through the loss together. During this time period in her life, she had a few run-ins with someone she considered a drunk troublemaker named Bobby Singer, but she could never seem to get any solid evidence against him.
One morning, Owen showed up at the front door. Jody did not know what to make of it, but the devastated mother that she was, she accepted him with open arms. She didn't want to ask too many questions and have him taken away from her again, she didn't know if she could survive that. One morning at the diner, she ran into Sam and Dean Winchester who were claiming to be FBI agents. When she called their supervisor, she recognized Bobby's voice right off the bat and warned all three of them not to try anything. She soon arrested the Winchesters for going after another person who had came back from the dead, because she could not let them come after her son. Owen soon fell ill again, bringing back all of those terrible memories. Jody hoped it was a simple sickness, but came home after work one night to find Owen eating Sean.
Luckily for her, Sam is there to save her, but informed her that she could not save Sean because he was already gone. Sam killed Owen and Jody joined forces with him to save the town from the impending zombie attack. Unbeknownst to her, this began her long journey of interacting with the Winchesters and Bobby when she encountered the supernatural, and she eventually grew to consider them good friends. A while after this first encounter, she helped Bobby escape from FBI investigators when he had a dead body in his house and also begrudgingly helped his friend Rufus Turner escape from prison. She warned the pair they had a short amount of time before she alerted the police of Rufus's escape and also threatened Bobby that he would be in trouble if she lost her job over this.
Following a surgery a bit of time later, she realized that her hospital was full of monsters and actually watched a leviathan eat her roommate. She ended up passing out on the hurried journey back to her room and woke up to the doctor that ate her roommate telling her that he would see her soon. Panicked, she called Bobby who was able to get her out of the hospital safely. A bit later, she found Bobby in his hideout and offered to cook for him as a thank you for saving her life. She also decided to do a bit of cleaning because having a clean house was clearly not on his priority list. When she accidentally spilled some of her cleaning supplies, they were able to figure out the weakness of the leviathan, Borax. Bobby was so ecstatic that he kissed her for it. When it was time for her to leave, he gave her the head of the leviathan that he'd had captive to toss into the river.
Over the next few years, Jody has many run-ins with the Winchesters, sometimes helping them with cases and other times calling them in to help her. She started to take cases within the surrounding areas of Sioux Falls on her own, unable to sit with the idea of not helping out with the monsters she now knew about. Being a sheriff was of top priority to her, because she enjoyed it and didn't know how else she could pay for things and couldn't imagine living without a semblance of a normal life. One of her run-ins with monsters soon changed her life for the better. When she walked into the sheriff’s station after getting a call about a teenager caught breaking and entering, she found a vampire taunting a young woman. She was quick on her feet and decapitated the vampire with an axe.
She called Sam and Dean in to take care of more vampires that were likely to come for the girl, Alex. Jody found out that her real name was Annie Jones and had been kidnapped years prior. The girl no longer had any living relatives. Jody took the girl who insisted on being called Alex to a cabin for protection. Very quickly, Jody developed an attachment to the young girl that had been a lure and bloodbag for the vampire coven for eight years of her life. Alex's vampire "mother" Celia found them and tried to feed Jody to newly bitten Alex, but she refused because of how kind Jody had been to her. Celia tried to kill Jody instead, but Alex saved Jody from Celia with dead man's blood. The Winchesters were able to cure Alex of vampirism and Jody decided to take care of her, empathizing with the girl for having lost her whole family... as messed up as her family was.
A few months later, Jody was forced to attend a sheriff’s retreat in Hibbing, Minnesota. She was paired with another sheriff named Donna Hanscum and at first was pretty unhappy about it as the woman was far too perky. However, when Donna’s ex-husband was an asshole to her while they were at the bar together, Jody stood up for her. At the retreat, the subject of animal attacks in town was overheard by Jody and after some investigating she called on Sam and Dean to help out. Donna witnessed fangs and thus was initiated into those that know about the supernatural. Donna proved to be a valuable asset and after the vampire problem was taken care of, the two women spent the night talking through other monsters and how to kill them. This friendship blossomed and the two often helped each other with possible cases as well as started to hang out as friends.
About a year after she took in Alex, Claire Novak showed up on Jody’s doorstep after the Winchesters give her Jody’s information. She was the daughter of the Winchester's angel friend Castiel's vessel and she was eventually left without either of her parents and forced into life at a group home. She found a lead on her missing mother, but watched an angel kill her mother in front of her rather than have a reunion and a shot at anything close to the life she had had before her father became Castiel’s vessel. At first, Claire and Alex do not get along, Alex believing that Claire only brought trouble. The two bickered over dinner with the Winchesters which led to Jody initiating a sex talk with the both of them after finding out from Claire that Alex was planning on sneaking away to Jody's cabin with her boyfriend. The three of them were soon kidnapped by vampires seeking revenge on Alex and were rescued by the Winchesters.
Jody was badly injured in the fight, however, and the two teenagers bonded over making breakfast as an apology to her. After that, the girls understood each other a lot better and became good friends. Not too long after Jody was healed up, she caught a hunter named Asa Fox in a lie about being an agent when he was in town on a ghoul hunt. The two quickly became more than friends after a wild night that involved roller-skating after tracking down the ghouls and he would pop into town whenever he could. Jody received a call that Asa had died around a year after they had met. She attended his wake with the Winchesters and ended up possessed by the demon Jael that Asa had been tracking down, informing everyone that Bucky had been the one to kill Asa and not the demon. After this experience, Jody got an anti-possession tattoo on her hip to avoid it ever feeling the helplessness of being possessed again.
A few months after that, Claire and Jody were at odds again because Claire felt that Jody was suffocating her attempts to hunt. She went off on her own because Jody would barely let her out of the car and lied about where she was and what she was doing to prevent Jody from trying to stop her. Jody received a voicemail from Claire stating that she needed to hunt on her own for a while, but that she was ready because she had a mother like Jody to get her ready for it. Though Jody was worried about her safety, she tried her best to come to terms with it. Meanwhile, Alex enrolled into nursing school and insisted that she did not want to be very involved in hunting and that she could not stay with Jody forever because she felt that she would always be putting her in extra danger. However, Alex started to soften to the idea of helping ID monsters and dispose of bodies as well as hone in on her shooting and combat skills.
Around a year after Claire went off on her own, Jody was contacted by the Winchesters to help a psychic named Missouri Moseley find a wraith that was killing psychics. Jody and Dean were able to save Missouri’s granddaughter from the wraith, but Missouri had been killed by it Patience expressed that her father told her to ignore her psychic abilities and live a normal life and Jody pulled her to the side and told her she needed to follow her heart. Jody had learned from trying to stop Claire from what who she was had not worked and was never the right decision in the first place. She gave her a card with her number on it and said that she was always available if she needed someone to talk to. She didn’t hear from Patience until she showed up on her doorstep claiming she had a vision that something bad was coming.
The Winchesters were asking for help tracking down a girl named Kaia Nieves and soon after Jody couldn’t get ahold of them. She called Claire and left a voicemail explaining the situation. Claire came home immediately and the women were able to save Kaia from a monster. As they are performing an autopsy on the creature, they are all forced to flee Jody’s home as Patience had a vision that cloaked figures were coming for them. Jody called in Donna for further backup and Kaia and Claire were able to save the Winchesters from The Bad Place, but Kaia died in the process. Jody held a distraught Claire arms and had a heart to heart with her that night. Claire finally understood why Jody was so protective over her.
After that, Jody found room in her home to house all three young women. Alex started slowly hunting on her days off from nursing. The three girls got along well and Claire was often training them up between cases of Jody’s while working out how to avenge Kaia’s death. It was eventually revealed to Jody and the Winchesters that Kaia’s killer was Kaia from the alternate reality of The Bad Place. Because Claire is still healing from losing her first love, Jody decided to keep this a secret from her. It was found out months later that Kaia was still alive and trapped in the Bad Place. Jody was convinced by Castiel to stay behind from the rescue mission because he doesn’t believe Claire could survive losing both Kaia and Jody, but she could survive losing Kaia again. Jody still wasn’t too sure about the second part, so she decided to not tell Claire until she knew it was a real thing.
Kaia was rescued by the Winchesters and Jody was ecstatic to reunite her with Claire. She took Kaia in as well and having four girls needing a place to stay she realized she would need a bigger home and sold her current home in Sioux Falls opting for a larger one. Jody would have never guessed this would be the pathway for her life, but all of the girls in her life are very important to her. After everything with Claire, she will always lead with the mantra that they can decide what they want to be and what they want to do and she will always be there to support them through it. The young network of hunters seem very determined in cutting down on monster populations in a more humane way than the secondhand tales of how the British Men of Letters had in Britain.

liildenniison:
The worst feeling she’s ever felt was knowing that she couldn’t give Slightly what he wanted. At first, she hadn’t realized how in too deep things were going to be back when their relationship started. Dani had been so sure that whatever she and Slightly were going to have would only be for a short time, and not just because she already had feelings for someone else when she began dating him, but also because at the time she thought it was all for fun. The thrill of getting to date for the sake of it, and to experience things that she hadn’t gotten the chance to outside of whatever she’s heard from her older brother and friends. A Summer fling. It wasn’t meant to be serious— but it did, and like Dani said, contrary to what Slightly might think of her now and of their relationship, she did in fact have feelings. Feelings that at times, made her think that maybe a relationship past the Summer was possible. Feelings that, as much as she may deny them, were still somewhat there even now. Which is why him putting all the blame on her stung because she knew she was in the wrong. She’s admitted to it, but she also can’t help but wonder if she hadn’t ended up liking Slightly as much as she did, would Dani still feel guilty about how she went about everything?
“I just can’t.” She claimed, staring back at him. Dani wanted to give it a try with Dipper, she really did, but there was a part of her that couldn’t. The fear of how he would react to her confessing was just to great, not only because there was the potential of Dipper not reciprocating, but also because she really couldn’t lose him. She’s seen the way Max was when he had to let Allison go, and that was with the knowledge of knowing that she was always going to come back. Allison was always going to come back to Max. But if Dani lost Dipper? it would just be way too painful knowing that he was still nearby and yet wouldn’t want anything to do with her. And the fact that she already had to go through that once? Feeling her eyes beginning to sting, she tore her gaze away from him before sitting down against the couch. “You say I’m me as if that explains everything and yet it’s because of me we’re broken up. I’m the reason you got hurt, just like I’m the reason why you were so angry a moment ago— and I get it. If I were you, I would still be angry and upset too.” She said, only for her eyes to sting even more as she heard what Slightly said. It really freaking hurts knowing that if it wasn’t because of her, they both still could’ve been together. “….You were too good for me and I lost you because of it.” It’s kinda ironic, actually, on how she always thought about how Max could’ve fought for Allison to stay or how he could’ve gone with her. But now she found herself wondering how things could’ve been if Slightly fought to stay with her. If he hadn’t let them break up regardless of whether she had feelings for someone else or not. But it wouldn’t be fair on him if he did.
Slightly still didn’t understand why she could be honest about her feelings to him, but not to the man they were for himself, besides what he suspected before—that she cared more if she lost Dipper. Which was fine; he had already known that for a long time. She had known and liked Dipper before she even met Slightly, and she would probably continue to long after (even on a platonic level.) But why was she so convinced that she would mess things up by saying how she felt? From Slightly’s point of view it would be practically impossible to drive someone away with a confession of love, especially if they were a real friend. Maybe his perspective was limited as he’d never been on the receiving end of such a thing…But how could someone liking you as more than a friend be a bad thing, even if you didn’t feel the same? And as it was that much likelier that the object of affection in this situation would return Dani’s feelings anyway, the answer seemed so simple. He considered it from the opposite side: being the person who was in love with someone who didn’t feel the same way, and how hard it was to even be friends with that knowledge eating away at you, let alone if they also knew it and still didn’t want you. He stared for a long moment at Dani, finally understanding, and he nodded. “Okay.” That was the last time he would offer any unsolicited commentary on that subject. If she had enough doubt in her mind that her love would be returned to not feel comfortable making a move, he was nobody to convince her otherwise.
He had spent so long blaming her for the downfall of their relationship that it should have felt satisfying hearing her take accountability for all his heartache, but it didn’t. In fact, her guilt just felt wrong, the tears in her eyes making the same spring to his own. Although it was probably worse when he allowed himself to believe that Dani never truly cared about him, at least it was easier to be angry than to be sad. Having to face the truth—that she was hurting too—didn’t lessen his own pain, but compounded it. As bitter as he’d been over the fact that she liked somebody else, they had broken up because he would rather give them both a chance to find real happiness than continue trying to force something that wasn’t right. And Slightly would turn himself inside out trying to prove himself worthy of it, but the one thing he wouldn’t do was humiliate himself by begging somebody to love him. To be that vulnerable, all his soul-deep desperation laid bare to be witnessed and judged—how could he survive it? Then she cracked him open, saying something so unrealistic that he would have thought it was a cruel joke if he didn’t know better.
“Too good for…too good for you?” He couldn’t stop the laugh from bubbling out even if it was watery. That was the funniest damn thing he had ever heard. And if she was going to be honest, so was he. “Yeah, right. I’ve never been good enough for anyone. Fuck. Look at me, Dani! I’m not smart, I’m not brave, I’m bullshitting my way through life like ninety percent of the time. The only thing I’m actually good at is music, and whenever people start to really get to know me they leave. Every time.” Except for his friends, the only people in life he could count on no matter what. No matter how annoying or stupid he was being, they’d always be on his side. That was why it had hurt for Cubby to prioritize a stupid blind date with his ex, whether it was that big of a deal or not. Slightly was just grasping to hold onto the few things he was sure of. “I don’t think it was all your fault, you know. Not anymore. You can’t help how you feel. But don’t try to sell me that...‘it’s not you, it’s me,’ crap. I already know I don’t measure up.”

Second Date
Steve x Reader fluff
After a disastrous first date, you and Steve give it another go.
Masterlist
“So we should do this again, sometime. Maybe next weekend?”
“Yeah, maybe,” you nodded. “I’ll have to check my planner, but definitely give me a call.” Even if it weren’t for your shifting eyes or your fidgety hands, it would be painfully obvious that you were lying. Both you and Steve knew that you had nothing to do next weekend, because that was the original plan for your date. You were both so excited that you moved it up a week when he suddenly got off of work for the night.
You expected the date to go..differently. You kept talking over each other and couldn’t get into a groove. He thought you would appreciate him ordering dinner for you while you were in the bathroom, but he didn’t know about your dairy allergy. He had to flag down the waiter while you changed your order which resulted in his food coming out before yours and his meal getting cold while he waited for you.
Then came the after dinner stroll. Steve thought there was no way he could mess up walking, but he should know by now not to underestimate himself. He was telling you a story from one of his late-night shifts with Robin, and you were smiling and laughing along. Just when he thought the date was salvageable, he gesticulated hard enough that his keys flew out of his pocket and into the sewer grate. His arms couldn’t fit through the opening, so you offered to lay down on the sidewalk in your white skirt and reach down, cheek against the pavement, instead of calling for the fire department. He was mortified, and you were itching to go home.
“Thank you again for dinner,” you said, reaching behind you and feeling around for the handle.
“Let me get that,” he got out of the car so quickly he almost tripped, but he made it safely to the passenger side to open your door and help you out. You smiled gratefully as he walked you up to the front door, he really was trying.
“Get home safely,” you told him, unsure of what else to say. He chuckled and nodded, looking back and forth before leaning in towards you. “Oh!” you gasped and moved your head to the side so his lips met your cheek, the same one that was pressed to the street a few minutes before.
“Sorry, I-”
“Steve, it’s okay,” you took a small step away from him and closer to the safety of your house. For once, you wanted to be alone in your room on a Saturday night. “Have a great night,” you slipped inside and quickly flipped the porch light on for him, hoping to light his path and get him out as quickly as possible.
Steve was all smooth lines and winks when he asked you out, and even for weeks beforehand. Chemistry seemed to be oozing between you two, but could it have just been the thrill of the chase?
****
“You tried to kiss her? After all of that?”
“Okay, no one was talking to you,” Steve reprimanded Max in the backseat. He was recounting the mishaps from Saturday night to Robin, and inadvertently Max, while driving them to school.
“She’s right, you’re an idiot. That was probably the worst thing you could have done after what you put her through,” Robin said. He loved the two girls, he really did, but he wondered why he hadn’t learned that they were the worst two people in his life to go to when he was looking for comfort.
“I thought maybe that could save it,” he shrugged, knowing that it was a bad idea, but throwing caution to the wind in that fateful moment. The rare silence from his passengers was the kindest thing they’d done for him in a month. “Okay, whatever, I screwed up! It’s over, I’ll be lonely forever.”
“Not forever, just until 3 when you have to pick us up,” Max said, sliding out from the backseat as Steve pulled up to the school.
“I have work!” he yelled after her, but knew he would delay his lunch break so he could quickly run to the school to pick her up. He wouldn’t let her skate home if the dark clouds came through on their threat to soak Hawkins.
“She said yes for a reason, you’ll think of something,” Robin promised. “Now get through inventory so I don’t have to do it tomorrow,” she smiled.
Steve thought about any and all ways the date could have gone better while he made his way through the stack of returns at the video store. He concluded that if he had done literally anything differently that things would have turned out better. Maybe he would be calling you at your job right now, or bringing you lunch because you two couldn’t wait to see each other again.
He certainly had made sure that wasn’t the case.
Just as the last thing was checked off his to-do list and he was going to sit down for the first time in his shift, the bell on the door chimed. It had been quiet all day, everyone either at work or not wanting to leave their houses in the rain that had been steadily falling since he clocked in.
“Family Video, how can I-Y/N?” The shock of seeing you was written all over Steve’s face. He was sure you’d never step foot into the store again if you could help it.
“Hi,” you smiled. “I found these in my purse, they must have fallen off when I got your keys,” you held out a keychain ring with a mini flashlight and a travel breath spray hanging from it.
Evidently, neither of you were sure why you came. On your drive over, you kept going back in forth in convincing yourself that you were going to visit Steve to see if the butterflies you felt when he first rang your doorbell were still there or so you could push every reminder of your date out of sight and mind.
After recounting everything to your mom, she encouraged you to give Steve another chance. It’s not like you were totally against the idea, but it frankly, was the worst first date you had ever been on. You had stopped seeing guys for much less.
“Oh, jeez, that was so nice of you to bring it over,” Steve smiled softly. He wasn’t nervous, there wasn’t much he could do to make the situation more awkward than what you experienced on Saturday. “Only the essentials, right?” he joked, spinning the keyring around his finger before pocketing it.
“Busy day around here, huh?” you asked, looking around at the empty store.
“I guess you’re the only one who wanted to drive across town to the video store,” he said, thankful for the excuse to see you again.
“Outdoor seating got shut down, obviously, so I got the afternoon off,” you told him.
The first time you talked to Steve, it was when you were on the job. He was out to lunch with his mom, which you found endearing. Even though it was her signature on the check, Steve hand delivered it to you. Small talk revealed his place of employment, and you felt the urge to go rent a movie that weekend.
You didn’t know Steve in high school, living a few towns over until your parents downsized to a smaller house in Hawkins. You had no previous exposure to his charm, and you were a sucker right from the beginning. Likewise, he was mesmerized the moment he saw you. You were fluttering around at work like you were walking on air, so sure of yourself and like you were having the best time in the world.
After three weeks of club sandwiches for him and you combing through the new release section, he finally asked you to dinner.
“Lucky you,” he grinned. “I am stuck here for another - oh shit! You need to go,” he said, eyes wide.
“Oh, okay,” you frowned, not expecting this reaction after he tried to kiss you on Saturday. Was everything on Saturday an attempt to get you to stay away for good and you just weren’t getting the hint? “Sorry, I thought it would be okay to come by.”
“No, I’m late. I need to shut down the store and do school pick-up,” he explained. “If I could leave you in here until I came back, I would.” You cocked your head to the side and tried not to laugh at his flustered rambling.
“Trying to hold me here against my will?” you asked, putting your raincoat back on and flipping the hood up.
“Yeah, I didn’t embarrass myself enough yet,” he joked. You waited with him under the store awning while he locked up, wanting to spend as much time out of the rain as possible. After he struggled with the locks for a moment, you felt increasingly uncomfortable standing there.
“Okay, well, I will let you go pick up, whoever you need to,” you said, preparing to step out and brave the weather.
“Wait, let me walk you to your car,” he said, finally clicking the door into place and pulling an umbrella seemingly out of thin air. You accepted his offer and walked with him, close enough to feel the heat from his body. Any awkwardness melted washed away with the rain, despite you walking in silence. When you arrived at your car, Steve held the umbrella over your head and exposed himself to the showers until you were safely in the car. Maybe he was still interested.
You rolled down your window and smiled up at him.
“I checked my planner by the way,” you told him. “I’m free as long as you are.” You didn’t think it possible, but he looked even more surprised than when you had walked into the store.
“Oh yeah?” he asked, regaining his composure. Steve knew exactly what he was going to do differently this time around: everything.
****
Sunday morning in Hawkins was quiet. Most of the town was at some sort of religious gathering or sleeping in after busy Saturday’s. Not you and Steve, though. You had been up since 8, getting ready to go out with him again. Despite being up until almost 2 o’clock the night before, he was at your door promptly at 9:30, just like he said he would be. His knock was so gentle, you almost missed it.
“I didn’t want to wake up your parents, in case they’re still sleeping,” he explained. He was considerate.
“They’re up, don’t worry,” you shook your head, following him down the driveway and to his car. Silence overtook the first 10 minutes of the car ride, neither of you wanting to speak first in fear of starting the date the same as the last, tripping over each other’s words.
“So, what is the plan?” you finally asked after it was clear Steve wouldn’t even open his mouth to breathe.
“The exact opposite of last week,” he told you, pulling into a large park and following the signs pointing toward a small lake. He only told you that sneakers would probably be a good idea, and you avoided anything white. You were happy you did, when Steve led you through a clearing where there were kayak and canoe rentals.
“I thought we could work up an appetite before breakfast,” he said. You loved it.
“If you tip us over, there will not be a third date,” you teased. Conversation was easier like this, when you weren’t staring into each other's eyes over a candle-lit dinner table. You sat in front of Steve and paddled slowly around the lake, chatting like you had known each other for much longer. He couldn’t see it, but Steve heard the yawn you let out from in front of him.
“Let me take over paddling for a while,” he insisted. You leaned back and rested your head against the middle seat, looking up at him. Easing into the intimacy he tried to manufacture for your first date was working, and it was working well. By the time he got the boat back to shore you had completely forgotten about any apprehension you were feeling. He was so charming, so kind.
“I am going to let you order yourself this time,” he said when you were tucked into a corner booth at the diner, reading over your menus. He found out that while you couldn’t have dairy, you were able to finish a four-egg omelet and a side of bacon without taking a break. You discovered that he preferred tea to coffee, although he ordered a chocolate milk.
“Did I go on a date with your secret twin brother last week?” you asked. “You can’t be the same guy,” you said, admitting how much you were swooning.
“It’s still me, believe it or not,” he blushed. You could see he had more to say, so you stayed quiet. Already a vast improvement from the week before. “This is going to sound gross, but, I never really had to try with girls in the past. And then recently I have had to try very, very hard,” the redness on his cheeks got deeper. “So when you agreed, I was so nervous, and tried to pull out all of the stops. I just got too in my own head,” he confessed. You added honest and humble to the list of attributes you would gush about in your diary later.
“I wasn’t nervous,” you told him, throwing him off balance a bit. “I knew you were a good guy. I mean, you picked up your siblings from school in the middle of your work day,” you said.
“No, I’m just a chump. They’re not even my siblings,” he laughed. “You’ll meet them soon enough.” Your eyebrows perked up and he didn’t shy away from what he said, shoving a forkful of pancakes into his mouth.
“That sounds nice,” you said. “What are you going to make me do, run a marathon?” He laughed loudly and covered his mouth.
“I honestly didn’t think it would be that hard. My arms are going to be so sore tomorrow,” he rubbed his biceps gently and you let your eyes linger a bit.
“I don’t think I’m going to be able to carry anything at work tomorrow.” The waitress came by with the check and you snatched it between your fingers before Steve got the chance.
“Hey, come on,” he extended his hand out and flicked his fingers, asking you to give him the bill.
“No way, I thought we were doing things differently this time around,” you said, leaving enough money on the table to cover the peaceful meal. “Which includes you not trying to flush your keys through the sewer system, so hold on to them.” He stood up and started to follow you out of the diner.
“I already thought of that,” he said, lifting his shirt to show you his keys hooked around his belt loop.
“You’re a genius,” you smiled. Now that it was early afternoon, the town was coming a bit more alive. Steve cruised along the streets slowly, bringing you back to your house. While last time you were eager to get out of the car, now you didn’t want to leave. You didn’t think that your feelings would change so dramatically over the course of one morning.
At the beginning of the day, you were unsure if the second date was even a good idea. Now, you were wishing you could start the day over and experience it all again. Giddy couldn’t even describe it.
Little did you know, Steve was looking at you the same way. You gave him a second chance, and you came on the date with an open mind. He didn’t think he would ever be able to get over what happened, and you just brushed it off like it was nothing. He was enamored with you.
“So, I know that it’s the middle of the day, but I really would feel better if you let me walk you to your door,” he grinned after pulling into your driveway.
“A little extra precaution never hurt anyone,” you shrugged, playing along. Silently, you took patient steps up your driveway and the steps to your front door. While the other night you were wishing one of your parents would come outside to drag you back in, now you were praying that your dad decided to hold off on mowing the lawn for just five more minutes.
“Thank you for breakfast,” Steve echoed your sentiment from the other night, but in an attempt to keep your date going, not end it.
“Any time,” you said, dropping your hands to your side and looking up at him.
“Alright, then I’ll let you get back to your Sunday,” he stepped down so he had one foot on the ground and one still on the bottom stair, looking up at you.
Continuing the theme of reversing the other night, you checked your surroundings to make sure there were no nosy neighbors hanging around before leaning down and kissing him quickly. You separated from him for a moment but he grabbed your face gently and brought you back to him, sighing against you like you were doing him an incredible favor.
“You working tomorrow?” you asked softly. His eyes remained closed and he rubbed his hands over his face.
“I have no idea,” he said, making you laugh. He couldn’t wait to do it again.
“I’ll see you soon, okay?” you said, patting his chest and standing straight up.
“Okay, but I’ll call you before then,” he promised, and you believed him. This time, you stayed outside while he got in his car, and waved until he was out of sight.
“Mom!” you yelled before the door shut behind you. “You were totally right!”

Steddie brain rot
Some rollerrink had opened a few towns over and the kids really wanted to go. Despite them all being sophomores, none of them have their license, so Steve has to drive. He tries to get one of the other adults to come with, but everyone is busy.
Robin and Nancy have a date, andJohnathon and Argyle are busy(not that he was particularly close to either of them).
That leaves Eddie, who he expected to laugh in his face at even the thought of him going roller skating. But surprisingly, he agrees.
When they get there, the kids all go off and begin skating right away. Steve and Eddie sit by the sidelines, and watch.
Steve notices the way Will sadly watches Mike and El skate hand in hand. "Poor kid..."
"What?" Eddie asks, confused. Not following Steve's inner train of thought.
"Will. He, um has been through a lot. And take this with a grain of salt because obviously he has never said anything to me, but I think he's into Wheeler." Steve says thoughtfully.
Eddie smiles, he loves that despite the lack of credit the kids give him, and he gives himself he is incredibly observant of those he cares about. "Yea...I can see that. At hellfire, he is always looking to Mike for some kind of approval. It's cute."
Steve chuckles hearing Eddie "the freak" Munson use the word cute. He shifts to a solom smile. "Yea but it's hard, too. You know being gay in a town like Hawkins, never being sure who you can tell, never being sure who will reciprocate your feelings, being scared to mistakenly confess that shit to the wrong person. That's why I am so happy Robin lucked out with Nance..." his voice sounds sad.
Eddie picks on the hints of sadness. He sounds like he is talking from personal experience. "Steve...um have you ever felt that way? I mean you don't have to tell me, if you don't want to...I just...I don't know. I wouldn't hate you or anything."
For a moment, the breath catches in Steve’s throat, Eddie had read right through him. But he takes Eddie’s words at face value, Eddie won't hate him. In a low voice he whispers "Yea, A few times. Like I'm definitely into girls, but there have been a few guys. One I even kissed."
Eddie’s face goes pink at the thought of Steve kissing a guy, a tinge of irrational jealousy fills his mind. He tries to keep his voice calm. "Out of curiosity, can I ask who?"
Steve's face flushes at the question, but nods anyhow. "I mean I used to think Tommy H. was attractive, but he was an asshole, so I got over that. There were a few random guys on the swim team with me."
"And the kiss?" Eddie pushes
"It was Billy Hargrove...we kind of had a thing. I think Max knows but no one else does. He...died before we really had a chance to figure out what we were, and what we wanted." He says sadly.
"I'm sorry, man." Eddie replies trying to cover up the shock of Steve and Billy. "So, has their been anyone since?" He feels badly for pushing but his own self-deprecating curiosity has gotten the best of him.
"Yea..." Steve admits, but instead of saying who he asks "Have you...um ever felt that way about a guy?"
Eddie can't help but shoot his a little smile. "Only once...like I've never dated anyone, haven't really cared to. But there was a guy recently, Stevie."
The silly nickname slipped out but he hopes Steve is getting what he is trying to telepathically imply. Steve blushes "Do I, um know him?" Steve leans in slightly, so he is closer in Eddie's space.
"Funny you should ask..." Eddie starts but before he can finish, Dustin interrupts them. "Why are you guys just sitting here?? Come on, and skate."
Eddie groans to himself as Steve pulls aways. "Okay, whatever Henderson. I didn't want to embarrass you guys because I am so talented." Steve jokes as he stands up. He looks at Eddie as Dustin skates off. "I'll grab us some skates."
Eddie watches him walk off, silently cursing Dustin. Worst possible timing and now he was going to embarrass himself in front of the man he was trying to impress.
Steve returns with a pair of skates for both of them. Steve puts his on but notices the hesitant way Eddie is putting on his own. "What's wrong?"
He wants to say 'I'm mad because I was trying so hard to tell you I like you.' But instead focuses on the more immediate problem. "I can't skate."
"Oh?" Steve says, sounding a little disappointed before perking back up. "That's okay, I got you, Eds."
Eddie blushes at the soft way Steve says his name. He nods, the air betweenthem has definitely changed. "Thanks...big boy." He adds to break the nervous tension, flashing a smile.
And Steve didn't lie. He did have Eddie, holding onto the other man so he didn't fall as muck. Eddie holding onto him for dear life as he clumsily made his wayaround the rink. And to his surprise, Eddie was enjoying himself. Now whether that enjoyment was from skating or the way Steve Harrington was gently guiding him, wrapping his arms around his waist to support him, he did not know.
They stayed for hours before finally bringing the kids home and dropping them off. When Steve pulled up to Eddie’s trailer after ushering Max to hers, he clears his throat.
"Hey, Eddie?" He sounds nervous, as he looks at the passenger side seat.
Eddie turns his head to meet his eyes.
"Yea?" He says softly.
"I...um, really had fun today. So...um thank you." He wants to say more but has lost the momentum from earlier.
Eddie's heart is beating fast. "Anytime, Harrington. I liked spending time with you....and the kids." He quickly adds.
Steve lets out a nervous laugh. "Yea, me too. I also like hanging out with you...and the kids of course. But can I ask you something?"
"Sure..." Eddie tries to sound confident.
"Earlier, you were going to tell me who you liked, right? Can you tell me now?" Steve feels silly asking but hopes it's who he thinks it is. He leans closer to Eddie over the center console, resting his hand on the metal head's thigh, praying he is not going too far.
At this point Eddie feels like he is going to combust into flames any moment. So he takes a chance. "How about I show you?" With that, he nervously scoops Steve's chin up, pressing a gentle kiss against the other man’s lips. He pulls away slightly to gage Steve's reaction.
But before he can get too far, he feels Steve move his hand to the back of Eddie’s head, twisting his fingers into Eddie’s hair, pulling him back in for a long, needy kiss.
After they have to pull away for air, both men of flushing, lips pink and kiss swollen. "I think that answers my question." Steve laughs.
