I love throwing some uninteinal shade on German Castillo's face, when he is faced by his "peer" millionaires on parenting your child matters...

“How has Nina adjusted to the new house? This is quite a different area from where you used to live.”

“I think she has adjusted fine.” Ana answered. “This is an extremely nice area. If I could have, we would have always lived here.”

“It is extremely nice,” Isla nodded, “Properties here had grown in value immensely in the last ten years and so has the demand. We were so lucky that we were able to secure a few investment properties from around here a while ago…and I am gonna stop now before we get too far back into work talk. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it here and Nina will most likely like it. The rink and everything is so close now.”

“She has been happy about that, because she loves to complain about being picked up.” Ana nodded, “Blake is a little far away now, but that was solved quite easily as well, so everything sorted themselves out.”

“Gastón was so happy when he could drive her.” Marco noted.

“Oh yes,” German decided to join back in the conversation. “How long has that boy had a driver’s license?”

“Little over six months now.” Marco responded. “He took the test a day after his birthday, and passed it on the first try too.”

“Not that we thought he wouldn’t have.” Isla added, “He is so smart, so driving isn’t something he couldn’t have handled.”

“Don’t you think that a 17 is a little young for a child to start driving on dangerous roads…”

“Not really.” Marco shook his head, “I got my license when I was 17. It was much more convenient that Gastón would be able to drive himself to school and everything as soon as it was possible.”

“I see.” German nodded. “I do have to note, I wasn’t aware of him before he showed up at my door.”

“We know that you didn’t know.” Isla answered apointently. “We don’t talk about him, on purpose.”

“We have always wanted him to grow up and have his own life.” Marco nodded, “He was four when we moved here and had no idea what future had in store for us. More he is out of the limelight while being a child, the better.”

“Honestly we think we should only come out with the truth after he is done with college and everything.” Isla squeezed his hand.

“Does he have any options yet?” Ana asked. “I don’t think Nina has said anything.”

“A few. He’s probably gonna pursue engineering of some sort.” Marco looked at Isla. “Taking after Tomas. School wise, there is concrete yet. He is one of the top at Blake, so most of the universities’ doors will be wide open to him, which is amazing honestly. It’s what we have always wanted for him.”

“We never got that choice ourselves,” Isla shook her head, “We went where we were able and we made that work. But Gastón, we are able to send him anywhere he wants to go. We kind of hope actually that he would get excited about going to Oxford. It would be far, but an amazing opportunity for him.”

“But we’ll see, there are a lot of conversations still to be had about this.” Marcon brushed some hair off Isla’s shoulder. “It’s his decision at the end of the day, and we would never try to stop him from doing what he wants, no matter what we want for him.”

“I don’t know what kind of people would want to prevent or forbid their children from doing what they are truly passionate about.” Isla shook her head, while German shifted uncomfortably—not that anyone noticed. “There is something seriously wrong with people like that.”

“I agree.” German nodded slowly, “But sometimes the children don’t know what’s best for them.”

“He won’t be a child much longer,” Marco remarked, “We only have about five months or so.”

“so much has changed to remind us that he is growing us so fast. Now with college looming and—” Isla nodded, before looking at Ana. “—and a girlfriend. I still can’t believe that you knew, and didn’t tell me.”

“We hadn’t talked in years, when I found out that Nina is after Gastón, who was your son. I only realized it when I saw him.”

“Okay, that is fair.” Isla shook her head laughing. “But you at leats knew, we had to gauge it out of Gastón, that he was seeing someone.”

“BUt was starting to be pretty obvious.” Marco added. “He started asking questions that he never would have wanted to know answers otherwise.”

“It was impossible to ignore the completely new light in his eyes.” Isla continued, while glancing at Marco, “got his eyes from his father, they can’t hide anything. It is clearly something special that they have. And just put it out there…we are paying for the wedding, when we get there someday.”

German started coughing. “Don’t you think it's a little too early to speak of things like that?”

“Obviously I would be years away.” Marcon stated, before looking at Isla, “But we do have quite an optimistic view on true love.”

“They are children, we can’t really speak of love, can we?” German laughed awkwardly.

“Who knows,” Isla shrugged, “We don’t really think it depends on the age. Everyone is different.”

Keep seeing that post where OP starts like 'Thinking about...grieving the undead' and then adds on about like. Real life situations where people have not died but have left your life and you would have reason to grieve them.

All respect, that's an important concept, but that is not what I am thinking about when I read 'grieving the undead'.

#your brother is a vampire. he's sitting across the table from you chatting with your mother about her day #and he's dead and he's gone and he's never coming back.#he laughs the same and he talks the same but his arm is cold when he grabs you in a headlock and your dog won't be in the same room with hi #he'll still hang around watching TV with you and give you wedgies and make stupid jokes #but you can't tell him about the bullies at school anymore because this thing with your brother's face will just find them and kill them.#and not even stupid fucking Jason deserves what the monster in your dead brother's skin would do to him.#your brother is dead and lost and right there in arm's reach and gone forever with no hope of ever getting him back.#i'm sure there are corollaries to be written about like ghosts and zombies but this is the one i'm personally hung up on recently

i love that i read SO many jayvik fics about the divorce beginning with jayce being horrified at what viktor had done with the hexcore, only for it to turn out that jayce actually did not give a SINGLE fuck, didn't even flinch at the sight of his hand and leg, and was ecstatic when it ended up saving his life. i am absolutely obsessed

Wyll being a terrible monster hunter is something that is so special actually. told to hunt heartless devil? immediately convinced of her goodness and humanity and without hesitation agrees to defy the devil who has his soul in custody and spare karlach at tremendous personal physical cost. vampire in camp? well hes handsome and funny and pretty polite about where he puts his teeth so it’s fine all things considered. finding out the person who ritualistically disemboweled a tiefling in front of him is a bhaalspawn like an unholy progeny of the god of murder that is culturally immediately reviled? no that’s his friend and he completely trusts in their ability to fight their nature with their own inner light. it doesn’t matter that they created the absolute they’re not that person anymore. I am absolutely convinced that Medic carries dextrose drops with him. German pharmacies throw these after you when you buy anything at all. I went to check if this one specific brand I know of had been around since the 60s and 70s and yes, it was.

Small acts of kindness I can see Medic doing is giving everyone one of these if they are tired. I'm talking about Engineer mostly.

Or they snack on them when solving practical problems together, like during the teleporter bread tumor incident.

Casual Chaos: Tim Drake’s Makeup Stream

Danny, known to the internet as Nebula, had been teasing a special stream for weeks. Fans were buzzing with excitement and theories, especially when the announcement popped up: “Doing My Boyfriend’s Makeup!” Naturally, the chat erupted into chaos. Danny was pretty private about his love life, so this reveal had the fandom on edge.

When the stream finally went live, Danny greeted his audience with his usual laid-back grin. “Okay, today’s the day. Let’s see if I’m any good at this,” he said, spinning a makeup brush between his fingers. “But first, let me introduce you to my boyfriend.”

The camera panned, and there he was—Tim Drake, sitting there as if this was the most normal thing in the world. No big introduction, no fanfare. Just Tim, giving a small, nonchalant wave.

“WAIT. IS THAT TIM DRAKE???”

“Like… THE Tim Drake??”

“No way he’s dating Nebula, what is happening???”

Danny, fully aware of the chaos brewing in the comments, didn’t even acknowledge it. He just turned to Tim. “Ready for your makeover, babe?”

Tim shrugged, totally calm. “Let’s do it.”

As Danny started applying makeup, the chat kept freaking out, but the two of them acted like it was just another Saturday. In Gotham, though, it was a different story. The Bat's group chat was blowing up:

Dick: “TIMOTHY JACKSON DRAKE-WAYNE, EXPLAIN YOURSELF.”

Jason: “How does a nerd like you land Nebula of all people???”

Steph: “I AM CRYING. HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS?!!”

Damian: “This is unacceptable. Drake, I demand an explanation.”

Bruce: [Typing…]

But Tim? Unfazed. He ignored the constant buzzing of his phone and sat still as Danny carefully lined his eyes and added a touch of mascara, keeping up casual chatter with the stream.

“You know,” Danny said, holding up a shade of lipstick, “Tim’s got this effortless model thing going on. I’m just enhancing what’s already there.”

Tim raised an eyebrow, smirking. “I didn’t exactly sign up to be your runway star.”

“Wait… he’s actually REALLY pretty??”

“Tim Drake is hot, confirmed.”

“LOOK AT HIS CHEEKBONES OMG.”

As Danny finished the look, adding some extra blush and a light gloss, the reaction was immediate. The chat was losing it. Tim glanced at himself in the mirror, barely reacting. “Well… I don’t hate it.”

Danny leaned back, admiring his work. “Not bad, right?”

Meanwhile, back in Gotham, the bats were still going wild.

Steph: “Tim, you better show up to every gala looking like this from now on.”

Jason: “You’ve been holding out on us with this face, man.”

Dick: “This is ICONIC.”

Bruce: “We’ll need to discuss this later.”

Tim finally glanced at his phone and snorted at all the messages. “They’re never going to let this go, are they?”

Danny just grinned at the camera. “Probably not. So… next time, you'll do my makeup, right?”

The chat, of course, exploded all over again.
