The Feanorians like to scare each other just for the hell of it but not one of them dares to try and scare Maglor. Maedhros warned them all the one (1) time he did, Maglor screamed so loud and powerfully that every piece of glass in the house within fifty feet shattered

Jean-Luc Picard @SpaceDadSupport Today I choose to repeat something I said in the past but highlight how this directive does not change even as the people in need of assistance do. Quote Jean-Luc Picard @SpaceDadSupport · Aug 18, 2021 We must always reach out to help those who are fleeing great peril, each of us to the best of our abilities, always without hesitation or prejudice. 4:28 PM · Aug 18, 2024

A Nightmare Before Christmas sequel?! Oh ffs Disney. Stop destroying beloved franchises with the “MUST have a sequel” garbage! Not everything needs it and I’m afraid of what would happen to it with this new “woke” Disney we have.
Thankfully Tim Burton is keeping the greedy Mouse at bay so far. (Although there apparently IS talk about a prequel… 🤔 I’m intrigued by that one but it would depend on the story I think)
And before anyone says it, “Long Live the Pumpkin Queen” was not created with Tim but was released by the greedy Mouse(because Tim wouldn’t give them a sequel) so I don’t consider it canon. That’s just my opinion.

So many people use this as proof that Derek was violent or abusive but um, sorry, as much as I love Stiles, he really did deserve this. And Derek didn't really hurt him, he didn't leave a mark. He just showed Stiles that there was consequences for what he did.
They also think Stiles doesn't get held accountable for his shit but this right here is him being held accountable.

"So, handling your archnemesis," Danny starts. The room falls quiet, heads slowly turning to look at the man as he writes the words on the chalkboard. When finished, the characters somehow both messy and neat at once, Danny places the chalk back down and claps his hands.
"I typically call them fruitloops. Often they're in a better position than you are- older, richer, more powerful. They may have some sort of status that protects them when facing the public."
Tim wondered where Dick was right now, and if he was laughing. His brain was lagging like a computer as he tried to process what Danny was saying, and how seriously a few of his fellow teen vigilantes were taking this.
"Some of their more common tactics are-" the chalk was picked back up, and Danny writes as he speaks.
"Manipulation, isolation, conditioning, and empathy."
MICE.
Tim stares at the board, and quietly slips put his phone.
-What have I done to deserve this.
Enjoy your lessons Tim-
His head thumps against the desk. Conner leans over, gives him a pat on the shoulder but returns to taking notes as Danny goes on to explain the conditioning tactic.

Who is this sassy lost child?
[First] Prev <–-> Next
#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#lan wangji#a-yuan#A-Yuan knows how to to utilise his big wet eyes to get treats. What a little legend.#The crowd comments about LWJ being 'daddy' and WWX being 'the mother' are a little too 'fan-service bait' for me.#So I am personally reimagining it as another layer of 'misinterpretation of a more complex situation' commentary.#I like how the different styles of interacting with children WWX an LWJ exhibit say so much about their own childhoods.#We - human beings in the real world - take two lessons from how we were parented: What we valued and what we wish we had.#LWJ leaning into indulgence is him pushing back against his own childhood of asceticism. It's something he didn't have - so he gives it.#WWX on the other hand has been *so* defined by his drive to indulge. And here he is the restrictor!#It takes a bit more to see what's going on here. The factors are not singular.#but to keep it in theme with LWJ; I'd propose it is partly his way of establishing structure when he did not have it as a child.#Both approches are a way of saying 'I didn't have this and I wish I did.'#With LWJ it's pretty obvious why...but WWX? What is at your core? What is your regret towards a lack of restriction?#Or...What benefit do you think it gives this child to learn the harsh lessons of going without?#Did it make you strong when you were a child? Do you think it is just the nature of the world and we all must learn it?#How we interact with children is such a fascinating topic to delve into our psychology and neuroses.#In a more light hearted turn of topic:#WWX confirmed to be 'person taking the car to the drive through to order one black coffee for himself' on the triangle spectrum.#LWJ is saying 'we have food at home' as he is opening his wallet ready to order for everyone.#(Technically this is comic 213 but yippee! We are in the 200's now! Thank you all so much for reading and cheering me on!)

Dick, training baby robin: If a guy in white looks like a wannabe Batman shows up, you start throwing things at him and spray water in Bruce's face and tell him " Doomed yaoi is not the way to go"
Robin!Jason: Why would I need to do that ??
Dick , w/ a thousand yard stare: You don't wanna know...

All the Americans on RedNote/Xiaohongshu that are interacting with Chinese people for the first time and are realizing that our governments hate each other but that we can build community/friendship with Chinese people reminds me of a conversation I had with a student of mine.
For context, I taught kids from China how to speak English for 4 years. I had one student named Rain (his English name) from Guangzhou. He was about 9 years old, and I'd been teaching him since the very beginning of his English journey when he only knew very basic vocabulary like vegetables. He got to the point in his language learning where he could use simple words and sentences to talk about more complex subjects.
There was one class we had that I still think about to this day.
"What classes did you have at school today?" I asked. "Math? English? PE?"
"Math yes. English class yes. And... history," he said.
"Oh history? Nice," I said.
"Teacher, I don't like USA a little bit," he said.
"You don't like it? Why?" I asked.
"Because..." he tried to explain before realizing that he didn't have the words he needed to express himself. He switched to miming and drawing the USA fighting with/being mean to China.
"So you don't like the USA because the USA fights China? Hurts China?" I asked for clarification.
"Yes, yes, I don't like it a little bit," he nodded.
"Do you like USA people? I like people from China," I said.
"You like China people?" he asked.
"Yes, I love Chinese people," I said. "I don't like when the USA and China fight, but I love Chinese people."
"Me too!" he said. "Kind of don't like USA, but I like USA people."
In that moment, I was amazed that even with a language barrier, and even with our age difference, we could come to the same conclusion that we didn't like what our countries did to each other, but that didn't mean that he had to hate American people or that I had to hate Chinese people.
"USA people and Chinese people are kind of different," I said, referring to our cultural differences. "We are the same too."
"Yes, kind of the same," he agreed.
That's what many Americans on RedNote/Xiaohongshu are starting to understand better.
