Welcome to the Clouded Frost tumblr blog!

Clouded Frost is an AU where Hawkfrost wasn't just an ambitious antagonist, but rather a morally-grey character who is pressured by the looming expectations of his clan, haunted by the death of his brother, and wounded by the abandonment of his mother. It covers his struggles with proving himself and his loyalty not only to his clanmates, but to his father that visits him in his dreams, manipulating his trauma for his own benefit.

The story also follows his relationship with Silvercloud, a cat who shares a similar background to him, and how she helps to steer him away from the bloody path his father so desperately wants him to follow.

I don’t think that cat genes can do this (?) but anyway au where Hawkfrost was born white but his body became more brown-tabby over time, and after his Clanmates found out that he was Tigerstar’s son, they thought that it was because Tigerstar was returning, either as a reincarnation or by slowly possessing Hawk over time until he takes over him completely

and maybe some of these cats try to prevent that before it happens

Bored so list of Warriors AUs I have / I’m making up on the spot

Rainflower/Crookedheart

In this AU, everything in Crookedstar’s Promise is the same up until the fateful re-naming ceremony. The only one that knows what will happen is Hailstar--Rainflower still believes that Stormkit will be renamed.

Instead, Hailstar renames Rainflower without warning in front of everyone, calling her Crookedheart.

Storm feels guilty for it, but eventually grows to accept that none of it was his fault.

Hailstar and Rainflower are also littermates in this AU.

Brightflower raises Brokenstar

Connected to the Crookedheart AU, though it can stand on its own. With the connection, it was discussed at a gathering that custody of kits should be taken away from parents that do not care for them properly.

Because of this, the kits were taken away from Lizardstripe and instead given to Brightflower (can’t remember why her exactly, possibly her choice). 

Brokenstar didn’t know that he and Mintkit and Marigoldkit were related, but in this case they are his adoptive younger littermates, and if he still kills them, that makes things even harder for Brightflower--should she believe her daughter or her adoptive son? It’s worse when she finds out the truth.

Pinestar and Rusty

After Pinestar leaves the Clans, he feels really guilty for leaving his family. He finds comfort in Jake and the other neighborhood cats. One of them is named Nutmeg.

Eventually she has a litter, and names one of them Rusty. Hint hint who the father is.

The Void

More an AU of the Dark Forest specifically of this blog, but since I like to think that all characters are canon to the Warriors timeline, might as well add it.

The Dark Forest is actually a sort of purgatory. When evil cats are killed twice / cats die in the Dark Forest, they go to The Void, and endless black territory with nothing but open space. It is so wide, in fact, that the chance of running into someone else is 1 in 1000.

Bluestar Raised Tigerstar

Basically Leopardfoot dies (maybe with her daughters) and Bluestar promises her that she will take care of her remaining son, so she raises him with Whitekit.

I feel that that at least gives some weight to her pain in Tigerstar’s betrayal instead of just she knew him well. He wasn’t even her first or second choice as deputy.

This also leads to further questions. Does he even still try to kill her? If everything in the first series is the same, does he try to kill Bluestar’s bio kits?

Hawkfrost Gene

An AU that Hawkfrost is born mostly white but grows more tabby brown over time. When cats learn who he is the son of, they start to believe that he is Tigerstar attempting to come back through his son... and maybe some try to stop the process, however necessary.

I’ve been told that this gene may not exist (but Warrior logic, woo), but it also may be fever coat!

He loves all of his kids, biological or not The three do eventually find out who their bio parents are, but they still see Squirrel as their mom and Hawk as their dad, because they basically raised them along their other 4 siblings

My birthday was yesterday, so here's my annual Tigerclaw doodle! ...How differently would things have turned out if Tiger had raised his kits together and united them under his goals?

I really love the "Tigerstar is Swiftpaw's dad" AU. It doesn't change that much storywise, but it just makes it really tragic with Tigerstar sending the dogs that kill him and him wanting to prove himself.

To be honest I really thought for the longest time he WAS Swiftpaw's dad.

God... Tiger spying on Gatherings and not seeing Swiftpaw there. Overhearing apprentices gossip.

"Did you hear what happened to Brightpaw? I hope she doesn't get an infection."

"Better than what happened to Swiftpaw."

But... What happened to Swiftpaw? Where was he? Was he hurt?

Tigerstar getting his 9 lives and seeing his son standing in the crowd, glaring at him with a look that chokes him. He sees the glittering scars and puts 2 and 2 together. That was his son, his baby, his precious boy so full of potential and life and so stubborn and proud. Why was he not given a name? Why did Bluestar treat his son like this? She gave a name to the bastard kittypet child, but denied his son? She's to blame of course, not him, he would have named him Swiftstrike or Swiftfang, something respectable and powerful. His son... Sitting there with his other lost child, lost so young, they both look so unhappy...

Seeing Swiftpaw amongst his own victims as he keeps dying over and over again. Begging them each time to help him. Help me Swiftpaw, please, please, you love me, I'm your father you need to do something you need to save me please Swiftpaw please don't let me die I'm your papa I love y

Watching his other sons, another child of his lost too young, Tadpole was so much like him too, fearless and strong.

Comparing Hawkfrost to Swiftpaw in the horrible way that parents do. Come on Hawkfrost that was sloppy, Swiftpaw had that technique down and never left apprenticeship, you'll avenge me and your brother, Firestar was deputy he could have said something, it would have saved your brother's life.

Seeing Swiftpaw during the Great Battle giving a blessing to Firestar. Realizing he gave Firestar a life and just... Losing it. Firestar stole his son from him, and let him die, and his perfect son still gave him a life?! Why?!

Oh it all just goes perfectly.

Although... It does give Tigerstar the widest family tree EVER.

Lynxkit, Swiftpaw, Brambleclaw, Tawnypelt, Tadpole, Mothwing and Hawkfrost. Oof, gift giving events have gotta be a nightmare.

i wonder how interesting it would be if tigerstar 1 was an actually good father who cared about his family, just not as much as he cared for power.

i think it would’ve made bramblepaw’s denouncing of him much more meaningful, knowing that he’d disown his loving father who has only been kind to him because of his actions towards others.
