As the oldest out of the group, Harlowe is the de facto leader of the nephilim, a role that he doesn't take lightly. While he may be cold at first, Harlowe is loyal and very protective of his loved ones.

The screen fizzles out on the T.V. as it loses signal, you feel the slightest of rumbles underneath your feet. Taking note of the safe zones, you hastily make your way through the city to the closest one. As you get to safety, you feel it. A violent and abrupt shaking of the ground that seemed to last for ages, causing you and the others your safe zone to stumble; the dust from the room crumbling coating everyone and debris falling– sounds of screams and sirens can be heard. No inch of St. Cascadia was unaffected.

The safe zones seemed to keep you somewhat safe as the shaking stopped, only some people faced injuries... but it seemed there’s no leaving your zone until help arrives.

Already in the early 19th century, Thomas Wright and Immanuel Kant speculated that fuzzy patches of light called nebulae were actually distant "island universes" consisting of many stellar systems.[152] The shape of the Milky Way galaxy was expected to resemble such "islands universes."

However, "scientific arguments were marshalled against such a possibility," and this view was rejected by almost all scientists until the early 20th century, with Harlow Shapley's work on globular clusters and Edwin Hubble's measurements in 1924. After Shapley and Hubble showed that the Sun is not the center of the universe, cosmology moved on from heliocentrism to galactocentrism, which states that the Milky Way is the center of the universe.[153]

Hubble's observations of redshift in light from distant galaxies indicated that the universe was expanding and acentric.[148] As a result, soon after galactocentrism was formulated, it was abandoned in favor of the Big Bang model of the acentric expanding universe. Further assumptions, such as the Copernican principle, the cosmological principle, dark energy, and dark matter, eventually lead to the current model of cosmology, Lambda-CDM.

If there was a contest to see who could read the most books in a week, Eden Wright would be the winner. Reserved and introverted, Eden tends to keep to himself more often than not. Growing up in a library surrounded by books instead of other children tends to do that, though.

As the son of Skyline Height's local librarian, it's no wonder that Eden loves to read. Preferring the company of one of his father's library cats, a cup of tea, and a good book over being around other people, he can be hard to talk to because it's rare he will answer.

However, Eden does step out of his comfort zone by working at the campus coffee shop to pay off his student loans. It's pretty much the only time he interacts with others, apart from attending classes and training with the other nephilim at Harlowe's home gym. Despite his quiet demeanor, Eden has proven himself to be a formidable competitor, which is why Harlowe chose him as his second-in-command.

Deep down, Eden is a hopeless romantic who dreams of finding "the one" and sharing a lifetime of happiness. But with the impending apocalypse on the horizon, he's almost given up on the idea of meeting his soulmate.

Appearance: 6'0", ivory skin, pale blue eyes, and platinum blonde hair. Eden keeps his hair unstyled, preferring the natural messiness over stiff gelled locks. His wardrobe is a healthy mix of Light Academia and Soft Boy, though on an every day basis he can be found wearing straight legged jeans with either a button up dress shirt or oversized sweater, depending on the weather. He has a pair of black Vans that he's worn since Sophomore year of High School, and their age is beginning to show.

Eden doesn't wear many accessories. He has a simple leather bracelet that he never takes off and also has a simple silver chain that he may wear on occasion.

Body Shop to shut 75 stores and cut hundreds of jobs

The Body Shop will close 75 shops in the UK over the coming weeks and cut 489 jobs, according to the firm overseeing its restructuring.

It means that, combined with cost-cutting at the company’s head office, between 750 and 800 people will be made redundant.

However, The Body Shop will keep 116 UK stores open.

The UK arm of the global beauty chain was put into administration earlier this month.

Shops will be closed over the next four to six weeks. FRP Advisory, which is managing the restructuring, said it would “support all impacted staff with claims to the Redundancy Payments Service”.

“In taking swift action to right-size The Body Shop UK store portfolio, we have stabilised the business,” said FRP Advisory’s Tony Wright.

“We remain fully focused on exploring all options to take the business forward.”

The Body Shop was a trailblazer – what went wrong?

The Body Shop was founded in Brighton in 1976 by the late Dame Anita Roddick who opened a single shop in the seaside town. Known for its natural beauty products and its stance against testing on animals, it expanded rapidly in the following years.

Dame Anita and her husband Gordon sold the business to French beauty giant L’Oreal in 2006, much to the chagrin of some loyal followers who viewed the French beauty giant’s business at odds with The Body Shop’s ethos.

Since then, The Body Shop has changed hands twice, most recently to private equity firm Aurelius in late 2023. Within weeks, it decided to place the UK arm in administration following poor sales over Christmas and January.

Wildly popular in the 1980s and 1990s, The Body Shop appeared to fall out of fashion as competitors arrived in the natural beauty market including Lush and Rituals.
