Happy Earth Day! Lots of pictures ahead.

All the updates about all the tomatoes: in bed 4, the Supersweet 100 and Black Cherry are growing bigger. But the branches are curving into an S shape. The stems and flowers still look strong so I’m not sure what’s up with that. I pruned lower leaves for circulation and to prevent soil splash back.

Side note, the poblano pepper roots from before are sprouting leaves and at least some of the basil seeds are coming up. I’ll have to think about shading soon as the weather heats up.

Here’s the damage on the Large Red Cherry. Not sure if it’s fungal infection or pest damage; I did a lot of pruning in the lower branches, but I can see some yellowing/spotting on the newer leaves too. I’ll wait a little longer to see how it takes before transplanting to a bigger pot. There’s probably some diseases in the beds and soil already but idk if I should keep this one or toss it.

Update on the cuttings from two weeks ago, one of the LRC cuttings made it, and there’s a mystery third cutting in water I didn’t label. They’re both looking good so maybe I can pot up in 2 ish weeks.

Also started seeds by sifting the potting soil to improvise a seed starting mix. There’s 8 cells of various tomatoes, an eggplant, and 3 bell peppers I think. I’m hoping to transplant to bed 1 after removing the lettuces; I haven’t done nightshades there before, so maybe there’s lower chance of disease?

Speaking of peppers, the poblano and better belle have something going on. Black speckles with some brown spots showing up. Again, not sure if it’s infection or pests but I’m not sure if they’ll make it.

Also, last week I got some seedlings and free compost from a local event. I potted them up since I'm not ready to put them in the beds yet. The soil was like, really muddy and had some mushrooms. I loosened them up as best as possible so hopefully they survive. There's 2 paste tomatoes, a sweet pepper, bell pepper, and some onions (not sure how to take care of those)

Finally, Michael and I potted up the blackberry plant in the hopes of juicy berries in summertime :) One of my long-term goals in growing a bunch of berries in containers. The strawberries took a hit the other day when it was really hot, so I moved them in the shade and they're getting better.

she’s an artist. she’s got DID and it’s not villainized. her armor is a bunch of tiny freaks in a trench coat. she’s good friends with one sword and traumatized another as a child but they are rebuilding that relationship. she infiltrated the mafia. her husband supports trans rights and I think she does too but this hasn’t been confirmed and probably won’t be for at least 3-5 years in our timeline. probably more. she needs therapy but was probably one of the reasons it was invented. she’s also ginger. I’m not saying who it is but you know who it is.

Oooh, thankful so much for the tag!! I'll always take an excuse to ramble about little things like this~!

Hmmm, I think mine would have to be the lantana flower; I'm a sucker for tiny flowers and large flowers with many little petals, so these are a perfect combination; like a flower made of flowers!

Plus they come in so many different beautiful colour combinations, they're like little sunsets you can hold in your hand <3

Though an honourable mention would have to be the wildly underappreciated dandelion, for the symbolism (the sun, the moon, and the stars) and the health benefits as well :]
