Okay yea that’s a lot but sit down and fuckle your seatbelts for this alright. Here’s just some bullet points on what I’m going to discuss undercut

Okay. Like I said if you have any info on the other games Nokori and Happy Country I’ll gladly take it cause i spent hours combing through stuff and it’s like all evidence the games even had a fan base was erased from the internet.

OKAY. (CLAPS MY HANDS TOGETHER)

There’s underlying connections to the other game’s obviously. Reused posters, some assets, etc. from what I could gather from the lore from dead wikis or barely viewed yt videos, as well as a few really old Reddit posts and TikTok’s. There was experimentation mostly concerning a material that’s connected to Gray Stuff. This being the Eccles pills and what not

Now this is just from the Eccles wiki, I had a hard time digging into the lore of this game and Happy Country.

But another thread that sews these games together is the GRAY STUFF. Gray stuff is sold EVERYWHERE in Happy Country infact it’s even built into other consumables like cereals or other meals you can see in Happy Country. Basically, think red 40 where it causes a bunch of bad stuff but it’s Gray 40

What I could basically gather is that it’s connected to the Eccles but sold in mass. (?) (like I said it was hard plowing though lore cause I’m a massive wuss) Also another thing that ties Happy Country and Nokori being Miracle Musics Hawaii Part II’s “The Mind Electric” (link in Happy Country and translated poster from Nokori.)

WALLTER. Our good old friend who’s made of concrete and ex husband of Mr Mannequin-Mark! We all know he drinks gray stuff. It’s embedded in his dialogue and is like the 2nd reason for his and Marks divorce. Oh wait? What? GRAY STUFF? THE SAME GRAY STUFF THATS REALLY REALLY BAD??

enough. stop with the shock value. there is no need to insert THE CREATURE; the benign concept of such a world is horrifying enough. not even in urgency, but just in banal, everyday interaction. imagine you meet someone and their timer says two years. not tomorrow, not urgently soon, but two years. enough to do quite a lot. they could fall in love in that time - could they get engaged? have a baby? you might otherwise get to know them, befriend them, but perhaps you opt not to, make a conscious choice not to invest in your own grief. what balancing act would every individual person have to participate in - I have ten years, is that long enough to be a good mother to children? is that long enough to secure a caretaker for my own mother? my wife will die a few months before me. my newborn’s timer reads nineteen years.

and cause of death. you interview for a job and emblazoned across the healthy, smiling face of the HR lady is MALNUTRITION. your country is prospering, safe, but every person you meet on the street from the babies to the old women read BOMB. BOMB. what kind of havoc would fate wreak on the world? what about the loss of privacy? how would that shape our notions of hope? idk man I think a lot of those ancient poems were right, and the fates are monsters. I’m interested by the framing of these ideas as trite horror tales when the premises themselves are so much more disturbing if simply taken to their logical ends
