The holidays can feel heavy when you’re unemployed, filled with uncertainty, instability, and moments of hopelessness. In this raw and honest reflection, I share my journey through the challenges of unemployment during the holidays, the resentment of the past, and the hope for what’s to come. 👉Subscribe to my channel to stay tuned:    / @thekashcode
This video isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about being real. It’s about holding on to creativity, protecting your mental health, and refusing to let your fire go out as you step into a new year. If you’re feeling lost or unsure of what’s next, this is for you.
While I'm being laid off right before the holidays after spending over 4 years of my life dedicated to a company, the unexpected job loss left me without a paycheck and scrambling to navigate life during the holiday season. But rather than focusing on the negative, I'm choosing to embrace this setback as a reset.
If you’ve recently lost your job or are struggling with the challenges of unemployment, I want you to know you’re not alone. In this video, I talk about the emotional rollercoaster of job loss, how I'm handling the financial stress, and why this moment could be the perfect opportunity to rediscover your passions and set new goals for 2025.
Unemployment is more than a financial strain, it’s an emotional challenge that can leave you questioning your worth and direction. But it can give you a chance to think about yourself and your career to do something creative work that you'd like to do during a period of unemployment. It's not just a survival strategy but a transformative path leading to financial independence, personal fulfillment, and long-term success.
Unemployment doesn’t have to be the end of the road, it can be the beginning of a new, exciting journey. By starting entrepreneurship, you create a solution for your current financial needs and lay the groundwork for a more fulfilling and self-directed career.
I dive deep into what it's like working in a startup, the promises of stock options and company growth, and the hard truth that sometimes stability in a job is just an illusion. I also reflect on the personal toll that working around the clock in a high-stress role can have on your mental and physical health.

❝ what is your abundance for the year? ❞ ✧ ೃ༄
‎i hope you’re having an amazing day. if you have an post suggestions i’m glad to consider them. enjoy <3
Tumblr media
jupiter in the 1st house
This is an indication that you’ll find abundance and expansion in your outlook, appearance, personality, and how others and life treat you this year. You might notice that your mindset is leaning towards positivity, faith, and optimism this year. It may be easier for you to look on the bright side and for things to go your way. More luck than usual is usually what comes with this placement. This year you’ll feel like you can take on the world. You might want to expand your horizons and try new things, whether that be your social circle, career life, family life, spiritual life, or emotional life. During this time you’ll notice that you don't take things as seriously. It can be easier for you to recover from setbacks. On the other hand, be careful about overindulgence because this placement is notorious for allowing you to gain weight easily or become lazy and arrogant.
jupiter in the 2nd house
This shows that you’ll find abundance and expansion in your finances, material possessions, and skills. It is possible that you might land a new job opportunity or discover an incredible source of income for yourself. Perhaps you experience some type of financial windfall. You might suddenly gain more physical items as well such as a new house, a new car, or or new clothes. This placement is useful for when you want to build on your skills or abilities to land your desired career because it is easier for you to do so. For example: If you want to get a job as a chef, this is the perfect year to enroll in culinary arts classes and practice. However, be careful with how you handle your possessions this year because it could easily fluctuate and you could become impulsive with your spending habits. Do not overspend or buy things that are unnecessary.

You’ll see that this year you’ll feel a strong need to expand your mind and learn things. Perhaps you’ll begin to read more books, study harder in school/college, enroll in a class, or watch more informational videos in your freetime. If you are in school, your grades may be significantly better than usual and there’s luck in your academic opportunities too. There is a possibility that you seem to be more extroverted and desire to be more social this year. You are charming and more witty, perhaps making friends through your peers. You could expect yourself to want more reflective and thoughtful talks with people this year. You might also be capable of handling more tasks than usual. You are able to be busier in your daily life because you mostly have a lot to do. However, it is almost impossible to get to know everything at once. It is important to slow down this year, and don’t overwhelm yourself with tasks.
jupiter in the 4th house
This is an indication that you’ll find abundance and expansion in your family, home life, and sense of security. It is possible that your family life is relatively happier, brighter, and more stable. There could be increased peace in the home as well. It could be that most family troubles are going away significantly. There could be something expanding your family life as well–perhaps a new baby, new money, or even a new home or home renovation. There could even be small changes in the home such as making a new flower garden, painting the walls of your room, and much more. For the older individuals, perhaps you are considering retirement to where you can finally enjoy the fruits of your labor.

‎ ‎
jupiter in the 7th house
This is an indication that you’ll find abundance and expansion in your interpersonal relationships, your environment, and others. This placement is victorious for bringing in a new relationship or even a proposal if you are in a long-term relationship. If you are already married, the benefits of being with your spouse will show this year. You’ll notice that in general all of your relationships with others will improve. You are getting along with others and others are getting along with you. You may even meet significantly more new people this year. There is a possibility that you are more social, charming, talkative, and extroverted too. If there are any business partnerships or alliances, you’ll see that you’ll reap the success of it when you cooperate with them.
jupiter in the 8th house
This shows that you’ll find abundance and expansion in other people’s possessions. During this year, it is possible that you’ll receive a gift from someone at some point. This could be an inheritance, monetary settlement, or even something you begin to own after a divorce–such as a house, car, kids, or even huge sums of money. If you receive huge amounts of cash this year, make sure to manage it successfully by hiring a financial manager or putting all of the money into an account. This placement is also known for when you are making huge purchases such as buying an estate. Your intimate relationships are also more apparent this year, especially towards your spouse or loved ones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
‎ ‎ ‎
jupiter in the 9th house
There is a strong need to search and expand on a higher understanding of the divine this year. Perhaps you are stepping into a new religion, learning about new religions, becoming a meditator, or getting more in touch with your higher self or spirit guides this year. You’ll find that you also desire peace and sanctuary more too. This is one of the perfect placements for when you need guidance and messages from your guides because you are more than willing to connect with them. There is also the possibility that you are willing to learn much more in general. You might engage in learning new things on your own. Perhaps you found new academic opportunities such as joining a college or enrolling in a new class. You could feel the urge to travel as well.
jupiter in the 10th house
This year is the year you’ll find abundance and expansion in your reputation, image, and career life. It is notable that you’ll more likely find better career opportunities within the year. Perhaps you get a job promotion and land a new job with better payments. You could have a chance to expand your career as well. If you own a business, you are more than able to expand your business success and popularity. In regards to your reputation, your image is in luck because you’ll notice that you are more popular and this could help with any venture you are pursuing. This placement is great for fame in extreme cases.
Jupiter in the 11th house
This is an indication that you’ll find abundance and expansion in your goals, friendships, and dreams. It is possible that you have more prominent goals than usual and you will benefit from these goals directly. There’s an opportunity to go after this goal only after a significant sacrifice in an area of the individual’s life. There is a possibility you will have to fight for what you want, but since luck is on your side in this area, it’ll be much easier and worth it. You’ll also find that your social life is more apparent. You might gain new friends or your friend group is more stable and tranquil right now.
Jupiter in the 12th house
This shows that you’ll find abundance and expansion in your spiritual self, unconscious, and hidden parts of yourself. This placement indicates that the universe will most likely have your back entirely this year. You’ll feel more connected with your higher self and your spirit guides. Your shadow work journey, discovering ignored parts of yourself, self-discovery journey could be significantly easier to go through and deal with since the universe can give you more apparent messages during this year. At the same time, you are more willing to dive into those parts of yourself even without the help. Self-isolation for concentration for oneself is common.

[bestfriend!Jack x reader] - again, I know 🙈

Tumblr media
As one of Jack Hughes’ closest friends, you were simply there for him through thick and thin. From the early days of his hockey career to then, as he’d become a big name in the NHL, you saw every success and setback, always giving him your unwavering support and encouragement.
Your bond with the Devils' star player was definitely something special, built on trust, mutual respect, and shared experiences. Together, you faced the ups and downs of life in the spotlight, as well as found solace in each other's company amidst the chaos of the hockey world.
And to put it bluntly, it wasn’t uncommon for people to mistake you as a couple. Although you tried not to post anything on social media, rumours often circulated. Even family members assumed there was something more to the story when he brought you over at almost every holiday family gathering. However, you were nothing more than his best girl friend. Which to him was probably the highest status one could ever get.
Despite Jack's busy schedule and the demands of his career, you just always remained a constant presence in his life, providing stability and comfort. Whether it was cheering him on from the stands at games or simply being there to listen after a tough loss, you were always there when he needed you most.
You even saw every girl who tried their luck with him, and all of them failed to stick around. Though you weren’t really sure why that was always the case. To you Jack was a good guy, busy sure, but good overall and anyone would be lucky to be with him. However, you could also understand that often his demanding lifestyle simply became too much for anyone to handle. And after every time he showed up at your place, you were the support he needed through every breakup.
And Jack cherished your friendship immensely. With you, he could be himself without any pretence, knowing that you'd accept him exactly as he was. He could put on a facade and a guard for the rest of the world, but with you, he knew it was of no use. You always saw right through him, for better or for worse.
So, when Jack invited you to join him at the Devils’ team event, it wasn't a surprise to anyone. Spending such time together had become second nature to you both, a cherished ritual that brought comfort and joy. You'd even spent so much time with his teammates that a lot of them had grown to be your close friends as well. They were almost like the protective brothers you'd never had.
And you, of course, accepted his invitation without hesitation. So, as you got ready for the event together, you felt a sense of excitement in the air, anticipating a night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and maybe even something more.
**
Jack stood in front of the mirror, his face displaying frustration as he attempted to knot his tie once again. Though it was something he'd often do before a match, tonight it just didn’t seem to work out for him. The smooth fabric slipped through his fingers, refusing to cooperate despite his repeated attempts. But then, with a soft sigh, he caught a glimpse of your reflection in the doorway, a knowing smile adorning your face.
"Struggling there?" you teased, slowly moving closer to him.
Turning to you, Jack looked relieved. "Actually, yes. Could you help me with my tie?" His voice held a touch of embarrassment, a contrast to his usual confidence on the ice, which made you chuckle softly.
"Of course," you replied, closing the gap between you and reaching for the silk tie. Your fingers skilfully worked the fabric into a perfect knot in no time. And as you adjusted it, your eyes met his in the mirror, and there was an unexpected shift between you, an unspoken understanding hanging in the air.
Then once Jack had sorted his tie, his gaze lingered on you, admiring the elegant lines of your evening dress, and he simply couldn't look away, struck by how stunning you appeared.
"Wow, you look amazing, y/n/n," he murmured, his voice filled with genuine admiration.
A blush crept onto your cheeks at his compliment, a soft smile forming in response. But before you could form a reply, though, you remembered the zipper on your dress.
"Actually, I could use your help too," you confessed, your voice barely audible. Turning slightly, you presented your back to him, feeling a tiny surge of nerves at the intimacy of the request.
And without hesitation, Jack moved closer, his presence sending a wave of anticipation through you. His hands brushed lightly against your skin as he reached for the zipper, the gentle touch surprisingly sparking some kind of awareness between you.
As his fingers softly traced your back, you felt an unfamiliar desire stirring within you, drawing you both a little closer together. And unintentionally, you leaned in a little closer to him, prompting him to gently rest his palms on your waist, as for a brief moment, time stood still, and you admired each other in the mirror.
It was a moment of soft intimacy hanging in the air, and you couldn’t deny that thoughts were starting to form in your mind. Thoughts that had been there before, yet you always just shook them off, as you didn’t believe they’d mean anything - Was there truly nothing more between you and Jack, or had you been fooling yourselves this whole time?
However, with the evening's urgency weighing on both of you, the passing seconds reminded you of the time slipping away. And with a small sigh, Jack reluctantly pulled away, his hands lingering for a moment longer before he finally zipped up your dress.
"We should probably head out," he said, a hint of regret in his voice.
And you nodded in agreement, carefully stepping away from him. Yet, despite the pressing schedule, the electric tension between you remained, silently hinting at what perhaps could be.
**
As the night progressed, Jack found himself unable to shake the growing feelings in his heart. And if anything, they only seemed to deepen with each passing moment, fuelled by seeing you effortlessly mingling with the other guests at the event.
"She's looking good, huh?" Luke's voice suddenly snapped Jack out of his thoughts, bringing him back to reality.
"Yeah, she really does..." he replied softly, his gaze still fixed on you from across the room, drawn in by the warmth of your smile.
And Luke couldn’t suppress his amusement and grinned knowingly, nudging Jack with a playful elbow. "So, are you going to make a move or what?"
"What do you mean?" Jack pretended innocence, though his eyes revealed the truth of his emotions.
And Luke had to roll his eyes, not buying Jack's act. "Come on, man, you're practically drooling over her right now."
"I'm not drooling... I'm just admiring how great my best friend looks..." Jack tried to defend himself, but he knew it was futile.
"Sure, sure, but we both know that you're totally checking her out!" Luke laughed, finding the situation more than amusing.
For months, if not years, Luke had had a bet with Quinn about when you and Jack would finally admit your feelings for each other. And not just as best friends. It was obvious to everyone how both of you always tried to act calm and nonchalant, however, there were often hints of something lingering in the back of your minds. Yet, none of you took the step to admit it.
And amidst the brotherly banter, Nico suddenly interrupted with a grin at the sight of their exchange. "What's going on? Who's checking out who?"
"Oh, just Jack ogling y/n," Luke teased, earning a chuckle from Nico.
"I'm not... ogling her!" Jack protested, though the teasing only fuelled his growing attraction.
"Well, I wouldn't blame you if you were. I mean, she looks really hot tonight," Nico chimed in with a mischievous grin. "I mean, if you don't make a move on her, someone else might."
And those words seemed to hit Jack like a splash of cold water, stirring a hint of jealousy in his gut at the thought of someone else showing interest in you. Especially a teammate of his. It was as if it was the push he needed to finally gather the courage to act on his true feelings.
So, as the event neared its end, Jack started to feel a little nervous about speaking his mind, which wasn’t usual for him. But as he prepared to bid farewell, determination surged within him. He simply couldn't let the night pass without expressing his feelings, without taking a chance on what could be.
Standing by the exit of the venue, Jack took a deep breath, preparing himself for what he was about to say. He then reached out, gently taking your hand in his, sending a jolt of electricity through you with his touch.
"Y/n, there's something I need to tell you," he began, his voice trembling slightly with nerves. "Tonight... tonight was different for me.”
“Jack, what do you mean?” you flashed him a crooked smile, slightly unsure what he was trying to say.
“I mean, I think… I think I realised that I have feelings for you, more than just friendship."
His words hung in the air, the weight of them palpable. And as you looked at him, your heart was beating faster than you’d ever experienced. You had to swallow hard as you processed his confession. But then he continued.
"I know this might come as a surprise, and I completely understand if you don't feel the same way," he added with a crooked smile, his gaze searching yours for any hint of a response. "But I couldn't let tonight end without at least trying to tell you how I fe-"
Interrupting him with a surge of confidence, you reached up and tenderly held his face in your hands, pulling him into a gentle kiss. And in that moment, as your lips were connected, Jack felt a rush of emotion engulf him, a sense of completeness and contentment unlike anything he had ever known.
There was a comfortable warmth spreading through him as his mind processed your actions, and though almost completely frozen, he still managed to respond with his hands finding your hips.
And as you slowly parted from the kiss, his heart couldn’t stop racing with a mix of excitement and relief. He looked into your eyes, trying his best to read your thoughts.
"Y/n, I... I," he started, uncertainty evident in his voice.
But you simply smiled softly, your fingers tracing his cheek. "Jack, I've been feeling the same way," you confessed, your voice barely above a whisper. "I just didn't know how to say it."
Relief flooded through Jack, his tension easing as he released a breath he hadn't realised he was holding. "Really?" he asked, disbelief tinting his voice.
You nodded, a shy smile gracing your lips. "Yes, really."
And suddenly, it was like a giant wave of happiness washed over Jack, filling him with a warmth he hadn't felt in ages. Without another word, he pulled you into his arms, holding you close as if he never wanted to let go.
"Shit, then I’m really happy I told you," he murmured into your hair, his voice brimming with gratitude.
"Me too," you replied with a light chuckle, planting a kiss on his chest. "I've wanted to tell you for so long, but I just didn’t want to risk… you know, our friendship in case you didn’t feel the same."
“Yeah… I guess I’ve just sort of realised… sorry it took so long,” he added with a sweet chuckle.
“Oh, you know, better late than never.”
And wrapped in each other's embrace, Jack knew this was where you belonged. Looking into your eyes, he vowed to do whatever it took to make you happy, to build a future together filled with love and laughter.
Meanwhile, a few feet away, Luke and Nico observed the sweet interaction between the two of you. And with a heartfelt chuckle, Luke turned to Nico with a smug expression.
“Guess I can call Quinn and tell him I won the bet then.”
“What was the bet on?” Nico inquired with a chuckle.
“Oh, just that he said they wouldn’t admit anything before one of them was in a serious relationship,” Luke explained. “But I didn’t think they’d ever get that far.”
“And clearly, you were right,” the captain let out a deep laugh.

Soul’s Desire [Ch. 40]
- Masterlist -
A/N: LAST CHAPTER!!!! Thank you guys so much for tuning into this series. This chapter is a bit short but I hope you guys like it! Again, thank you so much 🫶🏾
Tumblr media Tumblr media
”That cloud looks like a pig”
“It doesn’t, it looks like a hippo”
“It looks like my ass”
“The fuck does that mean?”
“Means it’s plump and juicy”
“Please shut the hell up”
You giggle as your soulmates bicker around you, each one defending their interpretation of the clouds above you.
A couple times they asked for you to settle the argument, but you knew better than to take any sides. It would lead to dramatic outbursts that would mean having to kiss away over exaggerated pouts.
They had arrived at your temporary home with all your favorite foods, a blanket, and a cute little stuffed bear Hyunjin had picked out.
Han was quick to push all his members out his way to hug you first. It made you think back to how your relationship started.
Han started it all, and he was so insistent on getting to know you. You thought having eight soulmates would be too hard to handle, and even though there were a couple setbacks, you couldn’t be more grateful for your soulmates.
As the boys attacked you with kisses, picked you up, grabbed the snacks, and ran out onto the back patio, hundreds of memories ran through your head. Arguments about clouds, debates on old rap beefs, and having to explain the plots of movies the Aussies never seen made your palm start to warm up.
The boys all looked at you as soon as they felt the sensation, smiling and teasing you.
You were grateful for your career, your relationship, and all the hardships you went through to get to where you were.

Signs you’re dating a high-value guy:
He cares about seeing you play at your best
A great guy has no interest in seeing you scale back your ambitions so that he can feel good about himself.
On the contrary, he loves to see you flourish. For him, supporting your success only means more excitement and adventure. He loves seeing what you make of your life and cares about protecting your dreams.
In short, the high-value guy lives to see you playing at an extraordinary level.
He isn’t afraid of you over-taking him
Guys worth dating aren’t fussed about out-earning you or worried about who is further ahead in their career.
He won’t get insecure because you happen to be a lawyer or have a PhD, nor will he fret about your substantial paycheck. He doesn’t measure his life in competition with yours, because (would you believe it?) he has self-esteem and measures his life on more than just achievement.
He wants to provide for you
This one might seem like it immediately invalidates the previous point, but it doesn’t.
Here’s why: Even though he’s fine with you over-taking him financially, a high-value guy still wants to be someone who can provide for you in all kinds of ways.
This doesn’t mean he wants to pay for everything, but he’ll work hard to be the kind of man who can protect and serve you, whether by being emotionally strong, financially independent, or by being able to treat you to incredible experiences and indulgent surprises.
He’s turned on by your independence
“Damsel in constant distress” is not sexy to a high-value guy.
A man worth being with delights in seeing you handle your own life (even if he loves to help now and then), and will want to encourage anything that promotes your autonomy and independence.
While every man loves to feel needed, only insecure daddy-type guys seek to acquire importance by seeing you helpless and entirely dependent on them.
He’s responsive to your needs, even if he doesn’t always get them right first time
Ok, he might not know the *exact* words that turn you on most right away, or he might not realise that “quality time” is your love language, or he may not know that handwritten birthday cards make you melt.
But he learns. And responds when he drops the ball and gets it wrong.
The best guy isn’t a mind-reader, but he is an expert at following the signs if you make them clear enough.
Just enjoy it (and for god’s sake let him know how happy his effort makes you – positive reinforcement works!). Showing him that you notice and appreciate his listening skills is the best way to get more of it.
He doesn’t need to be asked twice to come and help you out of a bind
You’re in trouble? You need help with your university paper and want someone to come and read it at 4am the night before submission? You need to be saved from your family?
He’ll jump out of bed and into his car to come and save you before you’ve even put down the phone. He might not like the “damsel in constant distress”, but the “damsel having an occasional freak out” will make him drive all night like a knight riding to save a princess.
He won’t take your crap
Be warned: high-value guys have high expectations. If you’re ok with that, this will only raise your game.
He’s strong, and that means he doesn’t put up with draining people in his life.
He has no interest in indulging complaining and doesn’t have time to waste endlessly going over old problems or moaning about the past.
If you’re being unreasonable, he’ll tell you. To your face. Like a man. In other words, be ready for a guy who will stand up for himself and won’t stand for being walked over.
He takes care of his life with minimal fuss
High value guys limit the amount of time they spend wallowing in self-pity after a setback. They are responsive in the face of failure and spring into action at the sight of problems rather than falling apart.
Of course, he’s still human. And vulnerable. Which is a good thing. So sometimes he’ll need love and reassurance that everything will be ok. But then he’ll be back on his feet and fighting to get a grip again.
When the castle crumbles, he’s the one who starts stacking bricks to rebuild the fortress.
He cares about keeping small promises
In the book The Road by Cormac McCarthy, the son tells his father: “If you break little promises, you’ll break big ones.”
This is essentially the philosophy of a high value guy. It’s his code. He doesn’t feel ok simply shrugging his shoulders when he promised to pick up your shopping on the way home and just forgot. He kicks himself when he promised he’d book that restaurant and it totally slipped his mind.
The idea of not living up to his word is death to him. As it should be for all of us.
Speaking of which…
He chooses his words carefully
A guy who is great relationship material says nothing idly. He doesn’t make empty proclamations of love that he doesn’t feel in his heart.
He won’t say trite phrases or go through the motions if he thinks he’s just using cheap sentiment to soothe you without addressing the real problem.
If he says he adores you, he means it.
He’ll comfort you. He’ll stroke your hair and tell you you’re incredible. But he won’t make everything sound easy or simple when it’s not. Because he cares about big ideas like Truth and Honesty.
He wants to improve without needing to be asked
Great guys are always looking for ways to be better.
He doesn’t want to get healthy because you asked him to, he wants to do it because he takes pride in caring about his body.
He reads books not to show off, but because he takes education seriously.
He seeks adventure not to impress you, but because he wants to grab life and suck up experiences while he’s on this earth.
He seeks success because he wants to fulfil his potential, not because he arbitrarily wants a bigger paycheck.
At his core, he’s self-motivated. That might sometimes mean he tries a bit harder than he needs to, but that’s a much better problem to have than having a lazy man who never makes an effort.
He’ll “grasp nettles”
I stole this one from advertising genius David Ogilvy, who wrote “leaders grasp nettles”.
What Ogilvy meant by this is that leaders in life are willing to do the difficult action that no-one else will. This is the same of any high-value guy. He doesn’t run from the difficult or sensitive conversation. He confronts problems. He makes the difficult phone call.
He doesn’t put off troubles hoping they’ll just blow over. Which is why others respect him and look up to him.
He’ll invest in the relationship without losing himself in it
Maybe it sounds romantic to think of the Edward Cullen obsessive-love type boyfriend, but in the real world a high-value guy is capable of falling loving without obsessing (he can still be passionate and intense, just not in the creepy stalker-esque way vampire romance novels portray it).
Guys who are well-balanced have multiple sources of joy in their world. Friends. Family. Fulfilling work. Because they’ve learnt how to be happy being single first (as I’ve spoken about before).
All of these are important to him, even if eventually you become the most important thing to him.
He listens to what you tell him and responds
As mentioned earlier, high value guys want to make you happy. And this means they listen. They look for clues. They are endlessly curious about you as their partner and want to understand your mind.
You’ll usually see this in the amount of thought he puts into gifts and trips, particularly if it involves things he’s clearly decided based on your previous conversations.
Of course, that does NOT mean he’ll always get it right. Even high-value guys will sometimes get it completely wrong and screw up badly (we have to be realistic, after all). But crucially, he’ll keep trying to fulfil your needs. He’ll remember when he messed up and adjust his behaviour. And if you communicate your standards well, he’ll strive to live up to them.
He has unique pairings
High value guys, like high value women, don’t rely on a single personality trait.
He can be intellectual and deep, but he can also be exciting and totally silly. He’s comfortable being sexual, but he’s also a gentleman and has class. He’s fiercely loyal, but ready to double-down on his principles when his view differs from everyone else’s.
The best people always embody both sides of the coin.
He builds a future with you
The high-value guy who is serious about you will want to make you the strongest team in the world. He’s loyal and wants to find ways to bring you closer together, which means he thinks about the future with you and discusses it openly.
That doesn’t mean he’ll necessarily move quickly, but it does mean he wants to invest in the relationship and make your emotional connection stronger so that he can share his world with you.

Now you're sitting in front of it again. One stack after the other, and it just didn't stop?
Why did you decide to do it again? Ah...Right...Future...
You were a bit frustrated, you had imagined your days to be different from sitting in Natasha's living room and cramming for hours. Natasha was also busy with herself in a meeting, and you couldn't help but take a leaf out of her book. Maybe one day you will be as successful as her..Run your own business someday.
CEO Of the L/N Company..Sounds good already....
"What are you thinking about?" As if she knew you were thinking about her right now, Natasha stands in the room and looks at you smiling, you sigh and put the stapler you had in your hand on the table, "Can't I just start with you?" Natasha could hear the frustration in your voice, and when she saw all the paper stuff she knew exactly what you meant. You see her looking at you with an unfamiliar look and suddenly she’s leaving.
She just left, Damn, you did something wrong..Before you could dive further into negative scenarios, she came back and sits down right next to you, "Alright, what are we looking at here?" You looked at her in confusion, "What about your meeting?"
Natasha reached for a stapler that was on the table, "Finished it, you are more important to me than listening to some people who think they can do something better," She looks back at you, "Now let's talk about you. So, what's it about?"
You couldn't help but smile softly. You can already feel the pressure easing a bit, ,,Aspects of human history and experience.“ Natasha flipped through the sheets a bit and as you did, she asked, „What can you think of already?“
Okay, how do you tell her you've just been staring at it so far? „Uhm..“ Natasha put the folder on her knees and this time looks directly at you, „You haven't looked at it yet, have you?“
You sigh again and lean against the couch, „I wonder how you managed to make everything look so easy, Nat. You're rich, you have your own company, and it seems like you don't have to worry about anything..“
Natasha's eyes softened, and she put a hand on your thighs, her voice soft and soothing. „Y/n, it may seem that way from the outside, but I promise you, success did not come on its own. I, too, sat on the floor and studied for hours. I had to deal with countless obstacles, setbacks, and doubts. Getting to where I am now took hard work and determination.“
You continue to look at her, „I know it won't be easy, but sometimes it just feels overwhelming. I want to achieve great things, but the road ahead seems so long..“
Natasha smiled and squeezed your thigh, „I believe in you, Y/n. You have the intelligence, the drive, and the passion. Remember that every little step brings you closer to your goals. Rome wasn't built in a day, nor were successful businesses or successful careers.“ Natasha realized that she was playing to your motivation with her speech, so she took the chance and went right on, „So, can you tell me anything interesting about any of these civilizations yet? Which ones are there, for example?“
Your eyes lit up as you begin to share your knowledge. „Well, the Egyptians, for example, were known for their impressive pyramids, and they believed in the afterlife.. They had intricate burial practices to prepare for the journey to the afterlife.“
Natasha nodded, acknowledging your answer, „That's right. It's fascinating how different societies view life and death. What are the challenges you find in learning about this topic?“
You sighed for the third time now, your frustration evident. „I get overwhelmed by all the dates and names. I feel like there's so much to remember.“
Natasha's voice sounded reassuring. „It's normal for you to feel this way. Let's try to break it down. We'll focus on one civilization at a time and create a timeline. That way it won't feel so scary. Also, I'm here to help you with the names and dates, understand?“
That sounds like a lot of work, you thought to yourself, but not for you, for Natasha, „Nat..Is this really okay that I'm keeping you here like this? you must have-" she interrupted you directly, „Quit that.“ She leans toward you, " „What good does it do me to have you sinking here in front of me, hm? I'd hire someone for you to make your tables and everything you need, so. Carry on.“
You had to smile again and nodded your agreement. At some point you reached a point where Natasha asked, „Let's talk about the ancient Mesopotamian civilizations. What else do you know about them?“
You think for a moment before answering, „They were known for their sophisticated writing system and the Code of Hammurabi, which was one of the earliest law codes.“ Natasha nodded in agreement. „That's right. And what do you know about the Indus Valley civilization?“
You hesitated, struggling to remember the details. „I'm not sure about that.. I think it was an ancient civilization on the Indian subcontinent, but I don't remember much else.“
Natasha smiled, without a hint of frustration in her voice. „ And that's all right, Y/n. The Indus Valley Civilization was actually on the Indian subcontinent, and they had advanced city planning with well-organized cities.“ Natasha notices you drifting off again, and she puts the things aside, „It's normal to forget some details. We'll work on it together.“
You appreciate her patience and support. „Thank you for your understanding, Natasha. Sometimes it's frustrating when I can't remember everything.“ Natasha reassured you, „It's all part of the learning process. We'll take another look at Indus Valley Civilization and make sure you understand it thoroughly.“

July 29th, 2024 - Monte-Carlo, Monaco
The late afternoon sun was casting a warm glow over Monaco’s streets as Amelie unlocked the door to their apartment. She pushed it open, her suitcase trailing behind her, and immediately sighed in relief. After a whirlwind week of filming, being home felt like a breath of fresh air.
She kicked off her shoes by the door, her ears catching the faint hum of a Formula 1 race recap playing on the TV. A familiar sight greeted her as she stepped into the living room—Lando, sprawled out on the couch, his hoodie pulled up over his head, a blanket draped over his legs. His body language screamed exhaustion, and the muted TV light did little to mask the tension in his features.
Amelie’s heart ached. She’d been keeping up with the Belgian Grand Prix and knew he hadn’t had the weekend he’d hoped for. Add the ever-critical comments on social media, and she could imagine the toll it was taking.
Quietly, she set her bag aside and tiptoed over, perching on the armrest of the couch.
—Hey, handsome,— she murmured, brushing the hood back to reveal his face.
Lando’s eyes fluttered open at her touch, a slow smile breaking through his tired expression. —Hey, love. You’re back.—
—Of course I’m back. Where else would I go?— she teased, leaning down to press a soft kiss to his forehead.
He chuckled weakly, reaching up to pull her down onto the couch with him. She let out a playful squeak as she landed next to him, his arms wrapping around her waist.
—Missed you,— he mumbled against her shoulder, his voice low and heavy with fatigue.
—Missed you more,— she replied, running her fingers gently through his hair. —Now tell me, what’s going on in that head of yours?—
Lando hesitated for a moment, his grip on her tightening slightly. —Just... everything. The race didn’t go how I wanted, and then the usual crap on social media started piling up. Feels like I can’t catch a break sometimes.—
Amelie frowned, cupping his face so he’d look at her. —Lando, you’re one of the best drivers on that grid, and anyone who can’t see that doesn’t matter. Don’t let those idiots get in your head, okay?—
He sighed, leaning into her touch. —I know you’re right, but it’s hard not to let it creep in, you know?—
Amelie nodded, her heart breaking for him. She knew how much he poured into his career and how deeply he felt every setback. —I do know,— she said softly, pressing a kiss to his temple. —But that’s why I’m here, to remind you how amazing you are. And how much you mean to me.—
Her words coaxed a small smile from him, and she felt a flicker of hope. —Alright, enough sulking,— she declared, sitting up and tugging his hand. —I’ve been away all week, and I’m not letting you mope around when we could be making the most of our time together. Come on, up you get.—
Lando groaned dramatically but allowed her to pull him up, her determination infectious. —What do you have in mind, troublemaker?— he teased, a hint of his usual spark returning.
Amelie grinned, her eyes dancing with mischief. —I’m thinking a movie marathon, maybe some comfort food, and I definitely want a rematch in Mario Kart because I’m still convinced you cheated last time.—
Lando laughed, a genuine sound that made her heart soar. —Cheated? You just can’t handle losing, love.—
—Says the guy who conveniently “forgot” to mention shortcuts on Rainbow Road,— she shot back, poking his side as he laughed even harder.
They moved to the kitchen, where Amelie set about gathering snacks while Lando leaned against the counter, watching her with a fond smile. She could feel his gaze and turned, catching him staring.
—What?— she asked, feigning innocence.
—Nothing,— he replied, shaking his head slightly. —Just... I love you. You’re good at this, you know? Making me feel better.—
Amelie smirked, setting the popcorn bowl on the counter as she walked up to him. She slid her arms around his waist, standing on her tiptoes to press a soft kiss to his lips.
—That’s because I’m the best girlfriend you’ll ever have,— she teased, her grin widening when she felt his arms wrap around her. —Now, are you going to help me carry all this, or are you just going to keep looking pretty over there?—
Lando raised an eyebrow, his lips quirking into a smirk. —I can do both, actually. But since you asked so nicely...— He grabbed the snacks, playfully bumping her hip as he walked past.
They set up the living room in record time, Amelie draping a plush blanket over the couch while Lando fiddled with the TV remote. The first movie was a mutual favorite, but neither of them really paid attention. Lando lay stretched out, his head resting on Amelie’s lap, as she absentmindedly ran her fingers through his hair.
Amelie leaned back against the couch, her fingers gently carding through Lando's soft curls as the opening credits of Nothing Hill rolled on the screen. The tension in his body seemed to melt away with each stroke, and the small smile on his lips was enough to warm her entire chest.
—Still my favorite movie choice,— Lando murmured, his voice muffled as he nuzzled into her lap.
—That’s because you have excellent taste, babe,— Amelie replied with a smirk, her fingers pausing momentarily to scratch the back of his head.
His eyes fluttered shut, and he hummed appreciatively. —Don't stop, though. That feels too good.—
Amelie chuckled but continued the motion. —You're shameless, you know that? I leave for a week, and you fall apart.—
Lando cracked one eye open to look at her. —You saying I’m high-maintenance?—
—Extremely,— she teased, leaning down to peck his forehead.
He snorted, tugging her hand down to kiss her palm. —Seriously, though. Thanks for being here. I don’t think I’d be able to shake all this crap without you.—
Amelie smiled softly, her heart swelling at his words. —That’s what I’m here for, you idiot. You think I’d let you mope around and stew in your own misery? Not on my watch.—
Lando laughed lightly, the sound easing some of the residual tension in the room. —You’re bossy, but I like it.—
—Good. You’re stuck with me,— she shot back, her grin turning playful.
As the movie played on, their banter slowed, replaced by a comforting silence punctuated by the occasional chuckle from the screen. Amelie’s hand didn’t leave his hair, and she felt his breathing steady, the stress from the weekend slowly ebbing away.
By the time the credits rolled, the room was dim, lit only by the flickering light of the screen. Amelie shifted slightly, but Lando didn’t move. His arms had somehow found their way around her waist, keeping her anchored to him like a lifeline.
—You asleep?— she whispered, her voice soft.
—Nope,— he replied, his tone lazy. He tilted his head to look up at her, his blue eyes catching the faint light. —Just thinking.—
—Dangerous territory for you,— she teased, brushing a stray curl from his forehead. —What about?—
Lando hesitated for a beat before pulling himself up to sit beside her. —Just... how lucky I am to have you,— he admitted, his voice quieter than usual.
Amelie’s chest tightened, her cheeks warming. —Lando...—
—No, seriously,— he cut her off, his gaze steady on hers. —You’ve been everything to me lately. Even when I’m being a grumpy bastard, you’re here, making me feel like I can handle all of it. I don’t know what I’d do without you, Amelie.—
She leaned forward, her hand cupping his cheek as she pressed her lips to his in a kiss that was tender but full of conviction. —You don’t have to do anything without me. I’m not going anywhere, okay?—
Lando nodded, his forehead resting against hers. —Okay.—
The moment hung between them, thick with unspoken promises. Then, as if on cue, Lando’s lips quirked into a mischievous smile. —So... about that rematch in Mario Kart?—
Amelie groaned, pulling away just enough to swat his chest. —You’re insufferable!—
—But you love it,— he shot back, grabbing her hand before she could escape.
—Unfortunately for me, I do,— she replied, laughing as he pulled her onto his lap.
The rest of the evening blurred into a series of small, intimate moments—shared laughter over a bowl of popcorn, whispered teases as they argued over which movie to watch next, and countless stolen kisses.
As the night deepened, Amelie and Lando found themselves tangled in the sheets, their movie marathon long forgotten. The blanket that had once been draped across the couch now lay in a heap on the floor, discarded in favor of the warmth they shared.
Lando’s hands had become bolder, exploring the curves of Amelie’s body with a hunger that matched the intensity of their kisses. She could feel the tension of the past week slowly melting off him with each touch, the stress of the race and the online criticism fading into nothing as her lips met his in a fiery embrace.
Amelie’s breath caught in her throat as his hands slid under her shirt, his fingers skimming her skin with a lightness that sent shivers down her spine. She responded in kind, her hands tracing the lines of his chest, feeling the subtle strength of his muscles beneath the fabric of his shirt. Every movement between them was a dance, a familiar rhythm they’d perfected over time.
—You’ve been on my mind all week,— Lando muttered between kisses, his voice thick with desire. —I couldn’t focus on anything else. Just... waiting for you to get back.—
Amelie smiled against his lips, her fingers tugging at the hem of his hoodie. —I’ve missed you, too, baby,— she murmured, pulling the hoodie off him with a small tug. —Now, I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere.—
His hands found their way to the buttons of her shirt, each movement deliberate, slow, as though he was savoring every moment of her closeness. He had always been like that—careful, passionate, and when it came to her, completely lost in the moment.
Amelie’s breath quickened as his lips trailed down her neck, sending waves of heat crashing through her. —Lando,— she gasped, her fingers tugging at his hair, urging him closer.
His response was a low chuckle, the sound rumbling in his chest. —Yeah, love?— he asked, his voice a teasing whisper.
—You drive me crazy,— she replied, her fingers now working at the waistband of his sweatpants.
He grinned against her skin, a mix of humor and heat in his gaze. —That’s the idea, isn’t it?—
Before she could respond, Lando’s lips were back on hers, intense and insistent, as if trying to prove just how much he’d missed her. The kiss deepened, their bodies moving together, each touch igniting a fire that only they could stoke.
Amelie’s heart raced as she pulled him closer, their movements growing more urgent, more desperate. The world outside their little bubble no longer mattered—just the two of them, tangled together in their own whirlwind of passion.
As the night stretched on, they found themselves lost in each other’s touch, unable to stop, caught up in the overwhelming desire that had built between them during their time apart. Time seemed to slow, every kiss, every caress leaving them breathless and yearning for more.
Eventually, they collapsed against the pillows, their bodies entwined, breaths coming in short gasps as they lay there in the aftermath of their shared intimacy. The room was quiet, save for the sound of their breathing and the distant hum of the city below.
Lando brushed a strand of hair from Amelie’s face, his expression softening. —That was... exactly what I needed.—
Amelie smiled sleepily, curling into him. —I know, Lan. Me too.—
And with that, they let the world fade away, cocooned in each other’s warmth, knowing that no matter what the outside world threw at them, they had each other.

Building a Killer Confidence Routine | The IT GIRL DIARIES
Confidence isn’t something you’re born with—it’s built through consistent, intentional actions. Whether you want to feel more confident in your career, social life, or personal well-being, developing a routine to nurture your body and mind can transform your self-esteem into a superpower. Here’s how you can start building a killer confidence routine using simple daily habits and mindset shifts.
1. Prioritize Your Physical Health 💪🏽
Your physical health has a huge impact on your confidence. When you feel good in your body, you carry yourself with more poise and assurance. Regular exercise, even 30 minutes a day, helps you release tension, boost endorphins, and improve your posture—important signals of confidence.
Whether it’s indoor cycling, skipping, or stretching, moving your body three times a week will help you feel energized and strong. Pair that with a nutrient-dense diet that avoids processed foods and sugar, and you’ll notice a boost in both your mood and self-image.
2. Start Your Day with Hydration 💧
How you start your day sets the tone for how you feel and perform. Begin your morning with hot lemon water to hydrate and detoxify your system, then follow it up with a green juice packed with leafy greens, cucumber, ginger, and more to fuel your body with essential vitamins and minerals. By nourishing yourself early on, you’re telling yourself you deserve care and attention from the start.
3. Take Care of Your Skin and Hair 💇‍♀️
Confidence often begins with how you feel in your own skin. A consistent skincare routine can make a big difference in how you see yourself. Taking care of your skin through hydration, proper cleansing, and supplements like zinc gives you a healthy glow, which boosts your self-assurance. Clean your environment regularly, from pillowcases to hair tools, to maintain this glow.
4. Manage Stress and Improve Sleep 🧖🏽‍♀️
Stress can wreak havoc on your confidence, and poor sleep only makes it worse. Managing stress with daily habits like taking ashwagandha to lower cortisol levels or magnesium for better sleep ensures you’re rested and calm. Prioritizing your sleep means you’re equipped to handle challenges with grace and resilience, both key components of confidence.
5. Nurture a Healthy Gut for a Clear Mind 🥗
Gut health and confidence are deeply linked. If you’ve ever struggled with digestive issues or breakouts, you know how it can affect your mood. Keeping your gut healthy through a balanced diet, daily green juice, and supplements like cranberry pills for pH balance will keep your skin clear and your mind focused. Feeling clear and energized internally will reflect externally in your posture and self-expression.
6. Adopt a Positive Mindset 💭
Confidence is as much about mindset as it is about physical habits. Start each day by affirming your worth and setting intentions. Remind yourself that setbacks are part of the process, not an indication of failure. Celebrate small wins, like sticking to your workout or nourishing your body with healthy food.
By consistently implementing these habits and mindset shifts, you’ll find that confidence becomes second nature. You’ll stand taller, feel stronger, and face every day with an unwavering belief in your abilities. With a routine rooted in health, mindfulness, and self-care, you’re already on your way to making confidence your ultimate superpower.

Reflections on Lewis Hamilton's 2007 rookie season in F1. From The Top 100 F1 Drivers of All Time by Alan Henry, 2008. (Written before the 2008 F1 season)
Image description under the cut.
[Images: Two photographs of pages from a book. They read:
Frank Williams summed it up from a rival's perspective. 'I thought after we got rid of Michael [Schumacher], "Now we've got a chance again." But then another superhuman turns up,' said Williams. 'Michael was many things, but he was also a very, very simple human. Hamilton is a different character I think, but purely in terms of calibre or quality of skill, what I'm seeing so early in this man's career is remarkable.'
Althugh some viewed the dominance that Schumacher achieved at times of his career as bad for the sport, Williams thinks that Hamilton is great news for F1 - as he serves to increase its popularity.
'Hamilton is still a baby, so to speak, but dishing out loads of trouble already,' said Williams. 'I mean that in the nicest possible way. I cry he's not in a Williams but I rejoice for F1. I really do.'
So let's ask another question. Could Lewis just develop into the best driver in the business, ignoring his failure to win the championship first time out in 2007? Nobody in their right mind believed his freshman year would be without its setbacks, but the way in which he handled such problems provided us with a further pointer to his future greatness.
Yet from a personal perspective I've been covering F1 for 34 years and I've never seen a debut run which even approached what Hamilton achieved. No question about it, the youngster dropped the ball in both the Chinese and Brazilian Grands Prix, both of which were strategically crucial slips which handed his championship rival Kimi Raikkonen much-needed momentum in the closing stages of their contest. But you just had to pinch yourself and keep on remembering that this was a youngster at the very start of his career in one of the most competitive sports in the world. Hamilton has that special touch, no question.
End description.]

Their Return: What To Expect
Pick An Image
Tumblr media
Image 1
Image one you have been partying a lot lately. More than you have been doing in a long time and it felt great at first. You have been reuniting with your friends and they are happy to see you out. You wonder if they are really cool with you or are they only around to have fun. When this person returns you will be in your fun era. You would have made changes to your look since the separation. Your attitude is care free and spontaneous. This is going to be surprising to this person because you are not the same person they knew when you guys were together. You have not only evolved aesthetically but you have also matured. You will question if this person is someone the new you would date right now?
Tumblr media
Image 2
The person on your mind will return when it is too late. You will already be in a connection with someone who is offering you what you desire and more. You will be stable in your career, abundance surrounding you, your home will be warm and full of life. This person will appear when you do not need them anymore. Your emotional ties with them will be severed. This will be hurtful to this person because they thought they still had a chance to talk about things. You will find that you do not need closure from this person. You will be healed and moved on.
Tumblr media
Image 3
When this person returns to you they will have a plan to undo the damage that was done. Expect this person to be watching your stories and posts before they plan their path to you. This person will be trying to earn your forgiveness through romantic gestures that they know will win you over. They want to rebuild that love that has faded. They see that you look at them differently now and this is hurtful. They want you back but this will not be easy. They know they made you upset and they want you to stop being angry. The person on your mind will be returning before you have a chance to cool down first. They want you to forgive them on their time.
Tumblr media
Image 4
Image 4 the person on your mind will return when you have experienced a false start or a financial loss. Something that you have been investing your time into will have a delay and this will cause you to doubt yourself. This might be the first setback in this goal so it is affecting you emotionally. You aren’t sharing this information with anyone because you want to handle it alone. The person on your mind will be appearing in your life again in the midst of chaos in your personal life. You will want to lean on this person because you love them. You wonder if you can trust them enough to be vulnerable.
Which Image Resonates?

Blackpink Thoughts on Being an Idol
I wanted to do this one for them, but needed a break from this series, but now ready to dive into them with this one. Let's see what we get here.
Jisoo
What she likes? (King of Wands) Being able to stand in her creative power. To have dominance over others. To be able to stand in her masculine power. The power of persuasion she may have. Her ability to show her power and creative force. Also, the way she is able to demand the spotlight.
What doesn't she like? (Wheel of Fortune rv) The setback, the stalling, the unfortunate events that can happen. There seems to be a lot of pauses and setback in her career, or she can feel a bit of misfortune in her career. I hear tunneling of money, what does that mean!? Oh sh** just looked that up, my god, it is an illegal business practice people use, let me just put that definition here, it is an 'illegal business practice in which a majority shareholder or high-level company insider directs company assets or future business to themselves for personal gain.' oh sh** she is coming with the tea, this is why I love these idol readings! Ya'll these companies are doing illegal practices with money, allegedly, her perspective. But honestly, this makes sense, so basically taking most of her money.
What has she learned/experienced in the past? (5 of Cups) She learned she would be disappointed. That she would not get her flowers. That it is hard to be positive and hopeful in this industry. She may have faced a lot of disappointment in the past.
Thoughts on fans? (3 of Swords rv/7 of Wands challenged position) It may be hard for them or her to heal old wounds they have. It may also be a struggle, or she can't communicate her pain to the fans. It can be hard for her to stand her ground and stay strong. She might also feel attacked, but she may also not know how to handle the pressure of being on top and people looking up to her.
Jennie
What she likes? (The Moon/The Sun) She gave me two opposites here lol She might like the allure of mystery being an idol has, but also likes that she can shine and show her creative side, or just show an aspect of herself that she likes to let shine. She may like the dark stuff to be hidden, and only likes the good parts of her to shine. She may not like showing her flaws and dark side, so she likes that the idol world hides that.
What doesn't she like? (Page of Wands) Exploring new things, getting a bit out of her comfort zone. She likes to stay stable and maybe do what she knows. She is a Cap, so makes sense. She prefers to stay in her lane of comfort. She might not like taking risk.
What has she learned/experienced in the past? (4 of Pentacles) To be greedy and stingy. To hold on to her resources. To maintain as much control as she can. To hold on to money and save. To show off a cold appearance. To not be too open to others. To hold tight to her career as well.
Thoughts on fans? (2 of Pentacles/The Tower both in challenged positions) Why are these girls giving me these challenged position cards, idk. It is like this inability to do multiple ventures or businesses, because the foundation may break, what this has to do with fans who knows. It is like she wants to keep things stabilized but may struggle to keep things afloat. It is like she worries about doing something with her career, because it may create chaos in the fandom, so she tries to weigh her options more cautiously. It is like she has to learn to make the right choice with her career and business decisions.
Rosé
What she likes? (Wheel of Fortune) The money, the success, the fact that she is moving ahead, moving in a positive direction. This is the opposite of Jisoo here, but things are progressing for her as an idol. There is a lot of opportunities for her as an idol.
What doesn't she like? (Knight of Wands) Makes sense, she can't really pursue her passion and what she really desires to do. She can't really do what she wants. I see this one a lot. She can't really pursue creative endeavors.
What has she learned/experienced in the past? (Ace of Wands rv) Once again, makes sense with the other card she got. She wasn't able to be creative, or her ideas were blocked from coming into fruition. Her answers are simple and sweet, to the point. I believe she is an Aquarius, their energy seems to be that way when I read for them lol
Thoughts on fans? (Page of Wands) She got a lot of passionate energy. She is curious about them, and she may see they are about them to. She finds them passionate, but a bit quiet and shy, or she is that way with them, like she doesn't let completely loose with them. There are also creative things she may want to show them, but really can't. It is like she wants to show them her creative side. It is like look, see what I can do vibe here.
Lisa
What she likes? (Page of Pentacles) She likes learning and becoming more skilled as a person. To become more of an entrepreneur. Being an idol is a learning process to her, to build her career and money. There is a lot of skills she learned from being an idol. I feel this is like a steppingstone for her, but not where she wants to end up.
What doesn't she like? (10 of Wands) No surprised here, it is exhausting, burdensome, too much hard work, pressure, too much on her plate, lots of physical exhaustion.
What has she learned/experienced in the past? (Page of Cups) She may have come into it fresh faced, idealistic, imaginative. This was like a dream to her; this gives me she just decided intuitively to become an idol and go with it. All off of intuition, like this was the path she should take.
Thoughts on fans? (King of Swords) Do they have a lot of male fans? I am sure they have a balance, but anyway, she may find them arrogant, they have a lot to say, may feel they have some sort of opinion and power over them. They may not be good at listening, but she does find them very smart, and they can implement a lot of great ideas. She may also be a bit more logical and rational when it comes to the fans, guarding her emotions and maybe wanting to show a more intellectual side to them.
Okay, these were interesting as I expected. Jisoo brought some tea, but they all had some insight to share here. Hope you enjoyed this installment here.

Halloween KimChay prompt: Vampire/Werewolf KimChay! 🧛🐺
Okay, I saw your second message, but what if I WANT to write another one? What if I want to write them in the opposite roles this time, hmm? MWAH thank you, Anon.
---
Chay heard soft rustling and a gentle thud as something heavy fell from his bedroom windowsill to the wood-paneled flooring below. Curious as to who would be stupid enough to invade his lair, he silently lifted one eyelid to observe the intruder. He was more than a little surprised to find- "Wha- Wik?"
The man standing hunched among the shadows resembled his favorite idol to an uncanny degree; except for the clawed hands, snarling lips pulled back over sharp fangs, and glowing red eyes.
"Oh shit. That's, uhm. Well this whole set of circumstances is unexpected on several levels, honestly, Phi. You sure know how to make an entrance."
This guy was likely 50 years or so younger than Porchay, but Phi felt more appropriate given their roles in the fan-idol relationship.
That detail noted, Chay paused to contemplate the best possible way of handling this situation without injuring what may be the most important person in the world to him aside from directly related family or his friends at university. Wik had inspired him to pursue music as a career despite the potential setbacks for someone of his kind. He owed Wik so much.
"You." The wolfman raised one hand to point at Chay. He took a shaky step forward, nose high in the air and nostrils flaring. With another huffing snarl and a determined glare in his eyes he repeated, "You."
"Me? Oh, right. My name is Chay. It's nice to meet you, uh- Well, what is your name?"
He received no answer. Instead, the wolfman tried to dart forward and wrap his arms around Chay's waist. Never one to be outwitted in his own domain, the nimble vampire darted sideways and knocked the intruder to the floor. Chay swung his leg over the man's torso and dropped down just as he rolled over, trapping the wolf's arms against his sides with Chay's knees.
"What was that all about, huh?" Chay flicked the wolf's nose in reprimand and watched it wrinkle cutely in response. "Why are you breaking into my room at two in the damn morning?"
"You," the creature pouted. Because he was absolutely, 100% pouting up at Chay with his fangs still out and his eyes still glowing crimson. "You... are..."
Frustrated and angry, the man tried wiggling out from under Chay. The vampire tightened his grip and ran his hand through the man's hair on instinct. He immediately settled and started up an odd kind of rumble in his chest.
"Uhm. Okay. What were you just saying before, though? What am I, exactly, Mr. Wolf?"
"You are mine."
"Ah-"
But one moment of stunned distraction is all the werewolf needs. He's off the floor and out the window in a second, Chay held tightly to his chest.

What I Liked From Azula in the Spirit Temple
Now that Azula in the Spirit Temple has been out for a few days, I can confidently say I found the majority of the book compelling and worthwhile. However, it is difficult for me to say I enjoyed it due to the dark and depressing subject and its flaws, which I will cover later, but not all art is meant to be fun and I would consider Spirit Temple to be a work of art rather than entertainment. Here are the things I liked from Spirit Temple:
It Tackles Heavy Topics
Azula’s feelings toward Mai and Ty Lee’s betrayal. Her relationship with her father and mother. Azulon’s order to have Zuko killed. Her mother’s disappearance. Vengeance. Feudal piety. The consequences of going against royalty. Azula’s ability to reach into a dark place. These have been dangling plot threads since the show ended, for fifteen years, and this comic sufficiently touched on them to provide much-needed context and clarity.
The Asylum is Contextualized
A dumping ground for rebellious noble children. A place for the most traditional families to imprison their unruly daughters (read: sluts and lesbians) to punish them for “transgressions” against their proper roles in society. Scraps of humanity drifting down the river of life. This is high-level stuff with direct historical analogues. Not only is this how Azula saw her imprisonment at the asylum (dumped there to be humbled and broken) and saw herself while there (a scrap of a person), it world-builds the Fire Nation’s society in a much-needed way.
Hair-Down-and-Angry Azula
Thematically perfect. Not only does this feel like the “real” Azula bursting forth—angry, jaded, tormented, troubled—but it harkens back to pre-breakdown Finale Azula, when she was struggling with the very topics the comic addressed (see: throne room scenes). I love Hair-Down-and-Angry Azula. Some might call it Angry Wet Cat Azula. It feels like a return to the Finale when all of this “Who is Azula?” questioning began. Brilliant creative decision. Need more of it like I need oxygen.
Azula Hates Herself
This has long been speculated. Azula loathes herself and has low self-esteem despite also having immense pride, talent, and achievements to bolster her self-worth. She uses the word “loser” to describe Ty Lee and Mai, which means she views her current self as a loser. She hates that she is alone and betrayed. She hates that the best of herself doesn’t cancel out the worst. She hates that who she is is not who others want to be with. I think this is great for a prodigy who has experienced conditional love by her most influential parent.
Azula is Darkly, Horribly Conflicted
She loves her father, but also sees how he harmed her. She wants her family to be together and happy, but she also feels that if Zuko had been killed her life would have been better. She is proud of her achievements, but the consequences of what she had to be and do to achieve them makes her hate herself. Zuko was never this conflicted, even at the peak of his journey. This will take an enormous narrative effort to overcome, with likely tons of setbacks, but when it happens, it will make Zuko’s redemption look like a warmup.
There are professional authors who spend their entire careers never sniffing a character like this. I can’t say where the Avatar franchise will take Azula, and they could still fuck this all up, but this is a character capable of reaching the highest summits of literary storytelling. Capable of, not necessary will. There is not a character remaining in Avatar who can hold a candle to the moral and internal conflict found in Azula in this comic. The franchise has something special, if they handle it right.
Azula’s Desire for Family
If her family was together, that would mean none of the bad things would have happened. Her low self-esteem would be fixed by the love and admiration of her family. This is a good development. There are tons of evidence for it in the show based on how often Azula says “we” and “us” and acts like the Queen Bee of a group rather than a loner. She hates being alone and the idea of family and parental figures gives her the most security. Very realistic and compelling. Avatar has not had a character motivated by pain of loneliness and want for human connection.
Azula Continues to Use Collective Pronouns
A pattern existed in the show where Azula would very often use “we”, “us”, “our”, and other forms of collective pronouns or group references instead of “I” or “my”. The pattern continues in this comic. There are several instances where she uses collective terms when she could have said “I” or “my”. At this point, it is intentional by the writers. They are signaling something that shows up again in this comic: Azula wants community and teamwork, not isolation.
Azula is Willing to Accept Blame, But Not All of It
Just like a real person with strong will and pride would. We are all the heroes of our own journeys. Accepting blame is painful, and for a person like Azula, who has all these accomplishments under her belt, to bury herself under 100% guilt and culpability, and to allow people to denigrate those accomplishments in turn because of how "bad" she is, can likely come across as a bridge too far. She conquered Ba Sing Se, killed the Avatar, saved the capital during the Day of Black Sun. Who is anyone to tell her she did nothing right and everything wrong? Azula is also highly intelligent, which makes it easier for her to justify her actions and beliefs and craft narratives explaining it all.
Azula is recognizing she has flaws and has made mistakes. It even appears she wants to be able to talk about them. The door is not shut on listening to criticism. This makes Azula’s potential reconciliation with the heroes full of drama and dynamic conversations.
Azula Won’t Be Brow-Beat or Guilt-Tripped into Submission
If she is backed into a corner with accusations of being cruel, evil, to blame for everything, the cause of all her problems, a monster, like the Zuko apparition was doing, she will lash out. Call it denial. Call it a defense mechanism. She will not allow what she is proud of, what she feels was worth it, what has been her closely-held identity, to be thrown in the gutter. This is high-level literature and human psychology. And it holds an important implication for the future: the heroes will not be able to shame Azula into accepting their morality or worldview. Unless her feelings are taken into account, the back-and-forth dialogue observed in Spirit Temple will not happen.
Azula’s Walls Can Snap Up in an Instant
She can let her guard down and hear criticism, but if the criticism turns into a personal attack, her walls will snap back up and she will drop back into old habits and beliefs to protect herself. This is a tough problem for the narrative to solve based on its complexity, sensitivity, and need for tact, and so will require a special character to help Azula work through. I don’t think the franchise currently has such a character. Maybe a more militant, warrior-poet version of Guru Pathik could do this.
Azula Talks and Thinks Like a Feudal Princess, Not a 21st Century Teenager
This needed to happen. ATLA needs to start developing the politics of the Fire Nation if they are to successfully build out Azula’s and Zuko’s post-war dynastic struggles. This is the first time the franchise has taken this seriously. Azula calls her family traitors, thinks Ty Lee should have been grateful for having the ear of royalty. Royalty. Finally, the word is being used to describe the social dynamic between her and her friends. Great stuff. This is who Azula would be in “reality” and part of why she is so scary to us today.
Azula Sets Her Terms for Reconciliation with the Heroes
Apologies. Acknowledgments of the pain and damage they caused her. Them valuing the “good” things she has done for them, much of it from her feudal princess perspective, and some from her troubled teenage girl perspective. I don’t think this is everything she will put on the table, but it’s major pieces of the redemption and reconciliation puzzle. This is probably one of the most profound parts of the book, because it says the door is not closed between her and the heroes. Zuko being Fire Lord and the war being over are not showstoppers.
Azula Loves, and Hates, Her Dad
Her father has both hurt and helped her. She hates him for turning her into his firebending weapon, but loves him for how that led her to greatness, and the conditional love she received from him. She is a villain loving another villain. I think there is something significant here that might play a role in the future: Azula will continue to love her father until he shows he doesn’t love her. In fact, she might seek confirmation of love from him and his response might be a turning point in their relationship.
Azula is Developing Her Own Identity
She says she is the last of her kind, the only one left. Sounds like she sees herself as representing a version of the Fire Nation that doesn’t want to go down quietly, the version of the Fire Nation that Zuko needs to figure out how to redeem rather than destroy. Even though she recognizes the damage her father did to her, she retains enough pride and belief in the Fire Nation’s war to stand by him. This looks like a sign of Azula coming into her own person, even if it is villainous and could send her down a dark path. Regardless of the morality, she seems to be voicing her own beliefs, and beliefs are supremely important to developing character, as beliefs can change. Azula still has to learn the wrongness of the war. This might be her “Zuko Alone” moment equivalent to Zuko declaring his identity to the corrupt soldiers.
The Spirit Centipede
Awesome design and capabilities. It seems it was trying to pump her full of opium in the form of the beach dream whereby she falls into a forever sleep in that perfect world allowing the centipede spirit to eat her. Instead, Azula rejected it and the spirit discovered it doesn't actually know this human as well as it thought it did and so panics and tries whatever it can to get Azula to succumb to its offerings of pain alleviation. One of the best spirit designs we have seen in the post-show products in my opinion.
Coraline References
Fantastic movie. Still creeps me the hell out. I’m afraid Azula would not last a week against the Other Mother. The Centipede Spirit tried to be an Other Mother. It couldn’t hold a candle.
More Evidence Azula’s Design Was Inspired by Lady Eboshi

6th house astro notes
Tumblr media
The 6th house in astrology embodies the essence of daily life, service, and routines, often depicted as the unglamorous yet crucial backdrop to our existence. This house governs our work environment, daily tasks, health, and the intricate web of responsibilities that structure our lives. Its domain extends from our occupations and co-workers to our dedication to health, hygiene, and the sometimes-overlooked duties that form the fabric of our routines. Also, our pets or familiars.
Imagine the 6th house as a framework that sustains our everyday lives—a canvas on which the mundane chores, health habits, and work obligations are painted. It's the stage where our efforts to maintain our well-being and functionality take center stage, emphasizing the role of routine, structure, and discipline in our existence.
This house underscores the significance of our occupational landscape—our co-workers, employees, and the services we receive or provide. It also encompasses our interaction with healthcare providers, therapists, and mentors who guide us in our personal development and career growth. The 6th house sheds light on the intricate network of individuals who contribute to our daily lives and well-being.
Astrologically, the 6th house, associated with the sign of Virgo, prompts us to embrace a meticulous and analytical approach to our routines and responsibilities. It urges us to prioritize the maintenance of health, work ethics, and the cultivation of productive habits. The position of planets in this house or influencing its ruler provides insights into our approach toward work, health management, and our ability to handle day-to-day tasks efficiently.
Moreover, the 6th house symbolizes resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges. It represents our capacity to endure, recover from setbacks, and navigate crises—highlighting our ability to persist through difficulties and setbacks that arise in our daily lives.
Historically, the 6th house has been considered a house of challenge or struggle, often termed a malefic house in traditional astrology. While modern interpretations may lean toward a more positive portrayal, acknowledging its potential for growth and transformation through crises, the fundamental message remains consistent: the 6th house signifies a terrain where perseverance, resilience, and adaptability play key roles.
Furthermore, this house urges us to cultivate a balanced approach to work, health, and daily responsibilities. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining a routine that harmonizes our physical well-being, work commitments, and personal responsibilities—a balance that, when achieved, contributes significantly to our overall sense of fulfillment and stability.
In essence, the 6th house may not carry the allure of grandeur or profundity found in other astrological realms, but its significance lies in the way it shapes the practicalities of our lives. It beckons us to honor the discipline of routine, appreciate the value of service and diligence, and recognize the importance of maintaining our health and well-being amid the ebb and flow of everyday life. It's the house that reminds us of the profound significance embedded within the ordinary, mundane, and sometimes challenging aspects of our existence.

When Your Murder Mystery Party Goes A Little Too Well
Tumblr media
Ally Carter has not missed yet with her adult novels. The Blonde Identity was a delight, and so was this book. The marketing pitched this book as a "Knives Out Christmas romance," but I haven't actually seen Knives Out, so I can't comment on the comparison. What I can comment on is how Agatha Christie meets James Bond the setup and characters are (I also got a few Castle vibes at points), and how fluffy and fun that was. This book also had quite a lot to say about gaslighting and recovering from being gaslit, which I deeply appreciated because seriously, people have got to STOP gaslighting their partners. It's BAD, actually. So let's talk The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year.
Hey, hi, hello. This is your SPOILER WARNING because I am going SPOIL THIS BOOK below the cut. Be warned.
When Maggie's publisher gently bullies her into going to a secret Christmas party thrown by Maggie's favorite author of all time, the publisher neglects to mention that Maggie will be travelling with Ethan Wyatt--former secret service agent turned writer (again, I told you I'd spoil the book) who is also the vessel Maggie has transferred all her self-loathing to in the wake of her nasty divorce and significant career setback.
The two have a somewhat contentious five-year history, which comes to a head while they're trapped in an old English Manor House in a blizzard. The communication between them has a great arc, and the use of time jumps is handled beautifully--by the time the reader is like, "what the heck WAS this incident!?!?" We get it and invariably we get some new context or perspective that just makes Maggie and Ethan's relationship even more fun to watch.
I will say, Maggie's ex, Colin, is the kind of raging douchecanoe we love to hate, and I deeply appreciate that the book didn't try to get empathetic or redemption arc-y with him. For fucks sake, the man took HALF OF MAGGIE'S COPYRIGHTS in the divorce and made her buy him out to get them back. The sheer LEVEL of dick move on that one floored me, and I adored that even a deeply hurt and gaslit Maggie understood that those rights MATTERED and that she got the important thing when she got them back.
The fact that Ethan also sees that and was like, "yeah no, you got YOU back and that's worth it" might have made me melt a little.
I also really enjoyed the bit of nuance in Ethan's backstory. Ally Carter LOVES writing spies. Like absolutely adores it. But what was interesting this time is that Ethan is a former spy who was pretty aggressively put out of commission by a severe injury, and his arc is really squaring his two identities: spy and thriller writer. It doesn't get as much page time as it maybe could have, because this is a fluffy Christmas romance, not a hard core novel about squaring identities, but its there and drawn clearly enough that it made sense and was fun to watch.
Overall, the whole book feels like just a slight shift could have brought it darker or more serious, but it stays light and fluffy, and I'm not complaining about it, because it was a sheer delight to read.
