Incorrect, the fact that Biden has dropped out and a candidate with history of supporting medicare for all and being more receptive to a ceasefire in the I/P conflict has made me go from "I cannot morally support the Democratic nominee" to "I am voting for the Democratic nominee despite the fact she isn't perfect in every respect." I'm really happy this played out. The Dems for the most part abandoned the old Obama platform and it feels like its possible an actual progressive agenda could come to pass in my lifetime.

i didn't think it was that bad i just thought it was preddy boring. like the decent execution proved why it was maybe a flawed premise.

slasher where you follow the slasher the whole time: cool idea in theory buttttt

you don't really build a lot of tension because you can see exactly what the killer is doing and where he is at all times (the best scare moments are the 2 times he disappears off screen but one of those times ends up being kind of moot because he never comes back. so the tension didnt pay off)

you dont really have any reason to care about the kills because you've only seen any of these people for one scene at most. so who give a shit. i know a lot of people are really hyped about the kills because theyre 'so intense' but if youve seen like. any previous shudder original or damien leone movie then nothing here is particularly shocking. this is all extremely standard for 2020s gore movies ime (<- guy who saw when evil lurks at AMC with no warning. on the big screen. so probably has a skewed experience)

and that last point about the victims is especially important if youre going to decide to drop the gimmick and switch to following the final girl for the last chunk of the movie (probably honestly was only 10 minutes but it felt like 40). because who is this girl. what character trait does she have. i mean she has a rude boyfriend and she likes necklaces i guess but i dont know a single thing about her and you dont even spend the end of the movie learning about her you just watch her slowly pass out while this random woman drones on about a story that they kind of. failed to engage me with because at that point i had spent so long meditating to the peaceful sounds of the killer walking around that i was fully checked out.

anyway this is all why i wondered if maybe the movie was actually a genius satire on the genre by taking the shallow characters and predictable kills that we associate with schlocky horror to the extreme. but if that was the intent its honestly like 3 decades too late to be meaningful :p

Sorry but I just don't understand how anyone is shocked. Truly what has that woman ever done to successfully convince people that this is out of character for her. Like I don't want to diminish anyone's pain or anything but I see all these stans on here and over on Twitter in all this distress, having their very first epiphanies like "Hold on . . . does Taylor . . . suck??" And I kinda just have to chuckle at them cause like bless your hearts babes, but omg catch UP 😭

Lol because 1) she is a severely emotionally stunted person who thinks edgy British "bad boys" are hot like she's 12 years old, 2) she has no true deeply-held moral principles outside of issues that directly affect herself, and 3) truthfully, she seems to be suffering from a serious crisis of identity after the end of the longest and most significant romantic relationship of her life, and in my opinion is pretty clearly desperate to prove something to the world/her ex/herself.

The first reason is cringe but not news to longtime viewers, the second reason is pathetic but also not news (to those who can be honest with themselves), and the third is . . . understandable in some sense, but not pitiable enough to make me willing to humor this insufferable little episode she's having. I wish her luck on this humiliating rebound journey, but she is gonna have to walk that road on her own.

Normally, I always roll my eyes when people make these kinds of jokes, but given the circumstances I feel justified in saying: I can't wait to hear the breakup song about him, sis 🤡

Sometimes I think about my very short-lived experience watching Happy Sugar Life and how the only real potent "message" i got from it was through the fanbase with the realisation "wow okay so we are NOT past the 'women can't be paedophiles' narrative huh" because i remember so gleefully checking the comments only to be hit with shit like "they didn't have sex so i don't think it's paedophilia" or "given her past i don't think she INTENDED paedophilia" or the time i saw an rp blog for the mc like "I interpret it as platonic :)))" like mc wasn't dressing an 8 year old up in a wedding dress, grooming her, doing vows, kissing her on the mouth and making plans for how they'd elope and marry each other

Like okay, you're entitled to your interpretations ofc but at what point does it stop being an interpretation and start turning into cope because this is NOT the topic you want to do that with!!!!!!
