I love the technique Dostoyevsky chose for the narration of The Possessed. Anton is the best way of narrating a book. Imagine reading a book where it's told by a guy who's in the background all the time (and sometimes not even there???) and occasionally drops his own comments in the middle of sentences. I cannot count the many times this book pulled something like: "And Mister Karamazov explained with: "At first l did not agree on reading my writing," (like that was so fucking necessary)". I think there should be more books similar to the narration of this masterpiece
