Lucifer

Lucifer its the one who notices your mood change first, as well as your new routine of oversleeping as well as getting yourself with lots of work. He knows what is going on (he has faced it before) and knows he would have wanted help or someone by his side.

His way of helping you is soft and also calculated in order to not make you feel like you must tell him what is going on or to feel pressure from him. Will invite you to have tea with him, will ask you what you would like to do for the day and encourage. If you want to staty in bed then he asks you if you need anything. Is going to get your favorite food and ask for extra soft pillows and blankets. If he notices that you are staying inside too much he will ask you to help him do some errands in town. Will offer to fly with you in his arms and play the violin for you if you like it.

Charlie

Despite she being hyped all the time and with lots of work she notices your change. How you seem to be out of space a lot, or how you avoid the rest of them. Charlie will wait for a moment where you two can talk alone. She wont pressure you on telling her whats wrong, will tell you to take your time. Is going to be around you a lot, unless she sees that she is over passing. Will ask for your help with easy tasks and ask you to have lunch with her.

Alastor

He may be slow at first at seeing your mood change, till he notices how irritated you are getting or how you seem to stay in your room all day not coming out unless its for eat or do some work.

Alastor comes from a time where this type of things were not adressed, however he feels like he must offer you some help, even if he does not know what he is doing.

His approach may be a bit agressive at first, teleporting you outside the hotel and making you take some walks with him as he talks about different stuff.

He will invite you to have dinner with him, playing soft jazz and even reading with you. Will leave a shadow of his to follow you and order it to help you with whatever task you may need.

Husk

Husk has his own inner fights so he is also quick to cath up with yours. He is not that good at talking or with feelings but its an amazing listener and will tell you that you can share with him whatever fear or thing that is making you feel bad.

He may not know what to do if you cry but will give you an akward hug and even put his wings around you.

Vox

When he is alone he is less of as ass than when he is with the V's.

Vox will notice how you are not doing your work. like you used to do and will find it strange then he will give you more hours to rest and send the best food on your way. Is going to play your favorite shows 24/7 and anyone who does not like it can go and fuck themselfs.

If social media is making you feel bad then he will remove your social apps and say they are unavailable at the moment.

Vaggie

She will be the "together". Basically wont leave you alone unless you ask her to. She wants to support you and be with you if you need her to.

Stolas / Mentions of medication

As someone who has to live with it and has to take medication for it Stolas will notice. He will ask you whats wrong and to please share with him what is going on.

Will ask you if you want to visit a Doctor and offer all his mansion for you to stay in. Is going to make plans to help you pass the time and distract you. Do you want to see a sun born ? He is taking you there. Do you want to help him with his plants? Of course he will say yes!!

Do you want to cuddle and watch a movie with snacks? He is preparing the best nest ever.

Rosie

Best friend in all circles. May ask if someone hurt you or if you need something specific from her. Will get you the best food and clothes to try and cheer you up. Walks with her in cannibal town are a must as she tells you the last gossips that are going around. If you want to cuddle she will do it just for you.

You didn't meet Adam again entirely of your own free will. You came to your hotel room to relax after a day full of work, but as soon as you closed the door and turned on the light, an unfamiliar voice rang out saying that he was already tired of waiting. It was Adam, or rather his hologram. You got scared and threw the first thing that came to your hand at him, which only made him laugh. You didn't understand how Adam ended up in your room, and he was in no hurry to say that you yourself brought a device that allowed him to communicate with you. But he was very surprised to see you wearing a uniform similar to the one worn by Princess of Hell

You were rarely in your room, but every time Adam wouldn't let you rest. He asked you questions, made fun of you and did not understand why you believed that you could atone for your sins, because you were already in Hell, you were already too late to worry about saving your soul. You seemed to believe in the idea of a princess. At some point, you got so used to Adam's constant company that you did your business in the room, answering some of his questions. Watching you, Adam became more and more convinced that he liked you. He forgot that you were a sinner and tried to touch you several times, but each time his hand went through yours, and at that moment he remembered that you were in Hell and he was in Heaven

When Charlie went to Heaven to negotiate, Adam was forced to listen to her words about the hotel again. He was able to see you among the other residents of the hotel. You were smiling, smiling sincerely at your friends. At that moment, Adam thought it would be great if you could atone for your sins and get to Heaven, where you could communicate normally. He really wanted to get to know you much better. He liked you, even though Adam didn't admit it even to himself

There was very little time left before the new extermination, and Adam understood that you would also fight against the angels. That's why he contacted you again. He told you to leave the hotel. He didn't want you to die, but he didn't say so directly. Adam didn't know if you were really going to leave, but he hoped you wouldn't die. That's all he could really hope for in your situation

I know Charlastor shippers have always been hated in the fandom for some strange reasons, but now after "father Alastor" this hate will be even more insane lol

I don't ship it and basically in HH Im all for canons, but the hate towards this ship is just rediculous

It was super obviously that Alastor doesn't see Charlie as daughter at all and she doesn’t see him as a father. The only reason of his song was to make Lucifer mad. Alastor was jealous of him from the beginning, he loved being the strongest one (excluding Charlie) and the one who's help the hotel needs the most. But when Lucifer came, everyone have forgotten about Alastor and he felt left. And that's why he started to hate Lucifer and wanted to make him feel like an awful father. And that's why he acted like he is Charlie's new father. When in reality he doesn't even give a shit about her and doesn't see her neither as a daughter, nor as anything. Just a way to entertain himself and to feel better bc of his ego.

So people who really think Alastor is Charlie's "father figure" or at least that they think about each other as a father and a daughter really don't understand anything and just trying to find the reasons to hate a ship lmao

And the fanniest ship is that Charlie is WAY older than Alastor. She's like 200, while Alastor is in his 40's lmao

The next thing Lucifer does is look for Charlie. Which is easier said than done because of the sea of bodies.

With everything happening, he can't distinguish anyone. Faces blur together.

He doesn't know where Alastor went or where the other hotel residents are fighting. Adam is also missing, but he hopes Adam is still on their side.

Charlie: Dad!

He turns to see Vaggie and Charlie approaching, covered in blood but apparently uninjured.

Vaggie: Sir, they just keep on coming! We can't fight forever!

Vaggie yells as she stabs an angel with her spear. Charlie releases sparks from her fingers to ward off anyone who gets too close, her shield protecting herself and her lover.

Charlie: Look over there!

Charlie points to a group of angels, and Lucifer recognizes one of them as the exorcist who always accompanied Adam during their meetings—the one who seemed too brutal to be an angel of Heaven.

And merciless she was as she shows no remorse in killing what looks to be part of Michael's army.

She turns to face them, her eyes glowing with a strange, otherworldly red. She looks nothing like the angels on the side of the rebellion he saw earlier.

Lucifer doesn't need to know more to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

Lucifer: What have you done?!

Lucifer demands, his voice echoing with authority.

The exorcist smiles coldly.

Lute: You of all beings should understand, Morningstar.

She spits his name like it's disgusting to even utter.

Lute: This is a purge. A cleansing of all impurities!

Lucifer stares in horror and anger at the other's outrageous reasoning.

Lucifer: You're killing your own kind!

Lute: I'm purifying Heaven!

Lute replies, voice borderline hysterical. Lucifer's fists clench in anger.

Lucifer: This is genocide. Is that all you angels know??!

She cocks her head to the side.

Lute: Call it what you will. I'm not afraid of you.

With a swift motion, Lute strikes down another angel. The fury in her eyes is unmistakable. She turns back to Lucifer, her voice filled with venom.

Lute: You killed Adam.

Lucifer: What?

Lute: You've caused me great pain so I'm here to be the cause of yours.

Lucifer, Charlie, and Vaggie exchange glances. They know reasoning with this kind of lunacy is futile. It's clear that Lute is also losing her mind due to whatever curse they're under some kind of influence. With a swift motion, Lucifer draws his sword.

Lute charges with the intent to kill, heading towards Lucifer. He was ready but then Vaggie and Charlie intercept her attack.

Lute, enraged, has dark blood trailing down her face, sending her into a frenzy. As she swings her sword, she strikes Charlie in the eye. Charlie screams in pain, clutching her bleeding eye as Vaggie springs into action to meet Lute's attacks. Vaggie's spear clashes with Lute's blade, sparks flying with each strike.

Lucifer rushes to help but is tackled by a swarm of zombie angels, pinning him to the ground.

He struggles, but there are too many on him. Despite his helplessness, he fights on, refusing to die by the hands of these abominations. Lucifer thrashes and spits fire wildly until��

A blinding light fills the battlefield. Lucifer sees everyone shield their eyes as a new figure descends from the heavens.

Michael: Enough!

The powerful voice booms. The light fades, revealing an archangel of immense stature, his presence commanding.

Lucifer: Michael..

Lucifer whispers, relief evident in his words. Maybe his brother can put a stop to this.

Michael's gaze sweeps across the battlefield, taking in the destruction. When he saw Lucifer buried under the angels, his eyes flashed with fury. He wanted to swooped in to pull off the reanimated corpses from his little brother but Lucifer yells at him to stop.

Lucifer: My daughter! Get that fucking bitch away from her!

Michael hesitates but then another figure landed beside him and began helping Lucifer.

Uriel: I got him, Michael. Go! Lute is your enemy.

Michael nods He takes off, wings beating powerfully as he zeroes in on Lute. He spots her, her sword raised high as she battles fiercely with one of his soldiers. With a mighty flap of his wings, Michael lands in front of her.

Michael: You continue to betray Heaven and everything it stands for.

Lute: You think I give a shit?!

Michael: I've been so gracious and yet you continue this foolishness.

Lute laughs, the sound cold and mocking.

Lute: Gracious? You call letting these demons live after killing Adam, your first man, gracious?

Michael's grip tightens on his sword, his knuckles white. He takes a step forward, his voice low and dangerous.

Michael: You shall meet our maker today.

The importance of setting rules for your fictional universe

I talked about this a little in another recent post in terms of rules for character design (not any like…theory or rules for designing characters, but rather rules for WHY a character looks a certain way) and it made me think more about world building in general.

I’ll be talking mainly about Hellaverse stuff since it’s on my mind, at first because I rewatched HB and now again b/c the HH trailer dropped.

B/c I gotta be honest, I’m pretty sure the world of Hazbin Hotel is gonna fall flat for me the same way that Helluva Boss has.

And as a reminder, I’m not trying to bash Helluva and Hazbin. I enjoyed the recent Hazbin trailer, but I think it’s really important to examine and think about story stuff.

Critique/Review below!

I think one of, if not THE biggest thing keeping HB and HH from feeling like a fully realized world is that we don’t really have any rules or standards for what is considered “normal” in Hell.

And since there’s no baseline for what is considered moral and immoral in hell, characters and their reactions to violence, crime, verbal abuse, body shaming, etc. seem to switch rapidly between sharing an earthly human morality, where everything is mirroring our current day society, and an anything goes kill-steal-maim total anarchy ideology.

To me the HH/HB version of hell comes off like the purge, except actually there ARE some crimes that are off limits. Like murder is okay sometimes and of course there are assassins everywhere that’s just a normal freelance sort of business. But also there’s organized crime and if you steal from a bank you go to hell-jail.

For example, after “Exes and Oh’s”, I had assumed killing other Imps or hellborn must be considered a crime, the way that Crim’s behavior and killing of his underlings was portrayed as completely negative and horrific. But then remembered that Millie having a neighborhood body count due to getting too competitive is mentioned as a joke, and it’s pretty clear that her family thinks of it as more of an embarrassing incident than like…an actually terrible thing to do.

I thought, “Okay, we’ll, maybe it’s just Moxxie’s Mom that was against all the violence being taught to her son.” But apparently she’s from the Wrath ring, the same ring as Millie. So was Moxxie’s Nameless Mom seen as being particularly different or strange to the what a “typical” Wrath Imp is? We can’t know.

Like. We see that imps have romantic relationships and can care deeply about each other and fall in love, just like humans do. In reference to the neighborhood bodycount thing, were Millie’s neighbors not extremely upset with her? Wouldn’t they also grieve their loved ones? Is it sometimes socially acceptable to kill other Imps like in sporting events???

Are the rules for what is seen as socially acceptable for sinners different from what’s socially acceptable for hellborn? Are there different ideas of what is socially acceptable from ring to ring?

I worry that when I ask these questions about a fictional universe, people will think I’m TRYING to dig or look for things to tear that world apart.

I promise I’m thinking about these things so deeply out of curiosity and because I want to engage with the material.

I want to understand and have fun in the fictional universe the writers have invited us all to. But if the rules of your universe are not clear, it can make it much harder for audiences to navigate the story you are trying to tell in that setting.

The HH/HB universe just does NOT have that clarity right now. Since season 2 of HB I’ve noticed that the world building has become more and more inconsistent, and if it’s supposed to now SHARE that world with HH, I really don’t know how they’re going to make their world coherent.

As a final note these are just my opinions. They are not objectively right. If you love Hh and HB and firmly believe the story is clear and the world building makes sense that’s great!! Genuinely, I am happy that the story means a lot to you and you enjoy it. These are just my personal critiques and views.

Studio Anon here, after a while of lurking/doing my own thing. Luckily my emotions are much more in check and I’ve strayed from Viv stuff for a bit to relax and hang out with my loved ones! Coming back and seeing Viv throwing a hissy fit, Raph wanting to look/act like Angel (my goodness-), and somehow people still defending episode four is… really comedic, actually.

Everything is awful but man, somehow it just keeps getting worse!

Anyway, just writing my own general feelings on this and the ideas I had for a rewrite long before everything went to hell. I never really was interested in HH until maybe Helluva Boss’ trailer dropped. I found it strange that HH wasn’t even out yet but somehow this ‘spinoff show’ was already made and posted in the public. I thought it was really weird tho, considering HH is owned by a company now, technically, while HB is sorta just there? I only watched since it’s animation and I felt like I had to support it.

Buuuut the longer I had to stare at HB’s ugly designs (and seeing the new ones for HH) I simply wasn’t interested anymore.

I guess I dodged a bullet because jesus it just gets worse.

I don’t know how, genuinely, Viv is a shit artist and writer? She went to a prestigious art school for as far as I remember and got her shows made and animated. I’m studying myself, and god knows I’d want my stories out there! It’s clear that Viv has some idea of what she wants to do, but that’s the thing-,

All she had were concepts (also publicly displaying her fetishes in the public, which is also its own can of worms).

I know in my right mind I couldn’t send people out to work on my stories since they’re heavily in development- even then my character designs are complicated as shit so I wouldn’t dream of anyone animating. Viv’s style being the way that it is + her general palettes being Just Red makes it hard to focus on or do anything with.

I also don’t know how Viv is able to just show off her rape fantasies out there and I’d rather not talk about it (sex-repulsed and all), but the general lack of focus and priority in gay ships is really disgusting.

So, as a writer, I made a general outline of what I’d make Hazbin Hotel and/or Helluva Boss be about.

Redemption is an easy theme to work on for both. ‘Sins of the father’ as a trope could work too. I’ll just use HH for now, as this post would be lengthy should I cover both.

General worldbuilding; due to Lucifer’s habit of toying with human life, comparing them to nothing more than insects, God punishes him and Lilith (who could’ve been some kind of angel too? I know she’s from a different religion entirely, so let’s say she was a random angel) by sending them to Hell to deal with the worst sinners. He and the princes of hell (how do they not address this in Hazbin?), scorned and disgusted by Heaven, try to be controlling over their own citizens. Mimicking/acting out their anger towards God by playing God in their own rings. They’re evil and horrible leaders. Lilith makes Hell feel like a home for her and Lucifer at least, bearing a daughter to restore some humanity within the Pride ring.

So Pride, at least, is less threatening now that Lucifer has a daughter.

The other princes could then ‘rightfully’ call out Lucifer’s behavior, maybe serving as some antagonists for Charlie as she tries to convince them to bring their sinners in for redemption.

So TLDR; the princes and Lucifer have internal problems that Charlie would try and resolve somewhat since she believes in redemption.

Going off to the main story, Charlie is told of Heaven being evil and awful for what they’ve done to her parents and believes it until she meets V (or Ex-Overlord Vaggie in this rewrite). V was recently cast out of the other Vs and was maybe slated to die in the extermination until Charlie unknowingly saved her from her fate. Maybe we could even get a hint of V being an angel/exterminator before with one hesitating to kill her off. The two talk and when Charlie mentions Heaven being an ass, V could tell Charlie about Heaven being good, eventually causing Charlie to start thinking about redemption, and start the hotel.

V is given more thought in the story as Charlie’s love interest and the gateway to her learning more about the two sides. Charlie is so used to Hell being the way that it is that she never considered redemption until she hears and talks to V more. The two try and kickstart some sort of redemption but V is hesitant in getting redeemed and asks that, since Charlie is the princess of hell, they could ask Lucifer for a sinner or two to redeem.

Very loose from here, but after some talk, Lucifer gives them a rundown hotel to make their own, the Vs find out and gets Lust Sinner Angel down to take them out, but is charmed by the idea of redemption. Nifty, Alastor, Husk, and Sir Pentious are all from different rings and it takes Charlie a lot to convince the princes and to try and reconnect them to Lucifer, who seems to be caught off guard with how much Charlie is willing to give this a shot. Lilith on the other hand gets suspicious of V, which could lead to Lilith exposing V of being an exterminator and, “Messing with our daughter’s head so she’ll get killed in the next extermination!”

So drama with the parents, the princes, and struggles with redemption.

It all crashes down on Charlie and the Hazbin crew as they’ve began to grow closer on one another, V especially. The other princes could then be more empathetic (they aren’t as prideful as Lucifer, and Lucifer might love his wife more than his kid tbh) and try to reconnect with Lucifer in the same way Charlie connects to the other ring sinners.

Slowly but surely, the crew better themselves, and before the next extermination, the Angel Gabriel (ain’t he the whole Angel with the flaming sword?) flies down to see Charlie doing her best. Drama here, tension there, V is the first to get ‘redeemed’. Uh oh, angst!

V, after all this time, doesn’t want to be redeemed if that means she can’t stay with Charlie, which is why she was hesitant. Lucifer and the sins come in, try to kill Gabriel or something and there’s signs of a war, but Charlie stands her ground and tries to find some way to get both sides to work together on something, at least.

So. Purgatory.

I haven’t been mentioning Lilith much but she very much loves her daughter, and having enough pride in her (Charlie) ideals to make things better, to give people a chance at redemption, reminds her of her angel days. That peaceful life.

So she agrees.

The Hazbin crew get to work with her in purgatory, V gets to be all happy and cute with Charlie, and everyone learns to try and be better.

There. That shouldn’t be too hard. Maybe a little complicated but those are my surface thoughts. What do you and the others think?

Your art is really good and not in a joking way or anything, it's just so unique and I haven't seen anything like it. Your take on HH characters is new since neither of the. Are being portrayed in a stereotypical way and both of them seem really human in my eyes, and not only through appearances. Your art has both the ability to be horrifying yet appealing in some strange way and I really hope you continue to draw so I can further see your interpretations on characters. You give inspiration to me in the rarest sense that I could write poetry for your art just to enhance their beauty.

I really like hearing you say that my art is both horrifying and appealing - it’s something I’ve always tried to aim for! It’s heavily inspired by Film Noir and some of my favourite artists (George Grosz) and I generally try to get the same effect in digital as I do in drawing - so I only sketch and draw on one layer to keep it raw.

Hazbin Hotel attracted me in the first place because the characters already had a certain humanity to them that I wasn’t used to seeing very often, or at least, or at least not in the specific way that got my attention and nestled itself into my brain. And definitely not with supernatural characters like demons from Hell and Lucifer!!! I think the moment I saw him and Alastor I was sold to the show. I just got gripped by the idea of the devil being more than just a tragic evil figure but as human as humanity itself. He’s proud, he’s silly, he’s serious, he’s whimsical, he’s depressed… and Alastor is such a great foil to him because he’s not afraid, despite being massively outclassed, and he’s willing to throw hands and make a fool of himself to angelic beings! Also he’s ace, and as a weirdo ace aro myself I can’t help but say ���mine now’ to Vivienne Medrano. I relate too much to Alastor. I draw him as I would like to see myself: witty, snarky, ready to go into situations and be completely outclassed, oblivious…

I am looking forward to the second season, and of course because I draw anything that comes to my mind I might draw some more Hazbin art in the future! In any case, thank you so much for this lovely message!

Being woke up with a headache was normal for you, your diet was basically alcohol at this point in your life. Then again to live in this kind of work you had to have one adicction or two.

However this did not felt like these headaches, no this felt more like a fatal one.

You cant remember how it had happen but you were for sure killed by a demon. And what did you get back after years of working to protect others ? Oh yeah, dying alone and also being woke up in the middle of what could have been the apocalypse with the red sky and screms.

"Hey! You wont believe this" Angel said to Husk once he enter the Hotel, the biggest smile on his face, something strange to see since everybody knew he had been having a hard time with Valentino.

"No, i cant see the future" Husk responded in a joking way preparing a drink for Angel.

"A sinner basically destroyed Valentino's bar...well one of them, not the point!! And He was there and this sinner just...basically just humillated him like it was nothing" Angel said his smile getting bigger and bigger as he told Husk. "And that sinner did this crazy move, like they kicked Valentino's face and then took their drink from the air!! It was pretty hot to see"

Husk stared back, wondering if Angel had too much alcohol or had used some new drugs but no, he seemed normal. However, a sinner just basically cleaned the floor with Valenino? He may not be the strongest however not anyone can take him down.

"I cant even have a drink at peace" you said now walking down the streets, others whispering about you then leaving quickly.

"Hello there friend!" A voice said making you see a deer demon? Well you could not care less and passed by him, ignoring him.

Alastor's eye twitched but he stayed calm turning towards you.

"You did put a show, you know? All the city its talking about you!"

"I dont care about that" you stated looking at the deer that kept smiling.

"Well, it centraly does catch the interest of some...dangerous fellas" at this you simplely rolled your eyes making Alastor want to take them out "But lucky you i know a place where no one would dare to go against you!"

"Oh trust me....you do"

By telling you that you could stay for free and have food you accepted his offer not shaking his hand and just following him. Alastor noted how despiste your lay back self you were actually very wary of others.

He was so interested in you.

To Angel you were his new favoite person and hero. Not everybody would dare go against Valentino and most ended being intoxicated with his own drug. But you? Oh you were different.

Of course Angel followed you around like a lost puppy making Husk jealous, but later when Husk found out your drinking habit you both bonded over it.

Charlie was just happy to have another sinner at her hotel, you seemed cold and distant but she could still see that you cared.

Just days after being there she found her girlfriend and you training in combat together. Vaggie did struggle a lot to get an opening on you as you just defended yourself with a small knife.

"How can you-" Vaggie could not end her speech as your knife passed her defense and stopped just a few inches away from her good eye.

"Your left eye its your blind spot. You have a good defense but you still leave an opening there" you pointed out drinking a bit and letting Vaggie absord the information. "You also need to be quicker"

Once the older Overlords got the news they shared a laught. It was not a secret that they did not like the V's. So your fight and the lose from Valentino had made them take a liking towards you almost inmidiatly.

Alastor took you to one meeting and during all of it, it was them asking you about your powers and such. Of course you said little to almost nothing only staying back to ask Carmilla about her weapons and how you could get one.

"If you need someone to be killed and not be connected to you, thats my line of work"

And thats how you ended with some blades made of angelic power.

if you look for old screenshots (not that i'll attach them because there's MAJOR spoilers for hh) of vivs twitter b4 she privated it, around 2017 - 2019 she revealed the FINAL END GAME PROTAGONIST of hazbin hotel with a name and a design of them. twice.

imagine if alex hirsch posted a pic of bill cipher in like 2010 on his twitter but then added the caption: "omg im so excited to show off the biggest bad of gravity falls that's super duper scary and evil but i can't talk about him until he shows up in the series in a few more years <3" because that's literally what viv did. and i wish i could say "sike just kidding lol! she would never do something like that since it would evaporate all the stakes and tension in her story for fans in the know or for fans that can just look these things up whenever they want if they're unaware" but no. i cannot.

i'm pretty sure i know which one you're talking about (for future reference i don't mind spoilers at all not to be a rude bitch but i am not invested enough in these shows outside of a critical lens to give a phoque LOL) and that still baffles me. i get she's excited but it's so odd to reveal all of this stuff knowing full well how fucking bonkers some people would've gone over the reveal of a grand villain

speaking as someone who didn't really follow viv outside of reading zoophobia like Once in the 2010's, it's honestly kind of baffling from an outside perspective to see so many people have favourite characters who don't even exist in the show yet purely because they've been spoiled by viv so thoroughly. i didnt even know that little anglerfish fuck existed till the preview and people were already drawing yaoi fanart of him long before then. feels like im behind lol

After watching the trailer 10x times, I wanted to share my thoughts on it, and the changes!!

Aka mun takes this as a chance to ramble about Hazbin Hotel-

Spoiler warning for the HH trailer under the cut!!

Okay, here we go!

I'm sad to see the og voices go, but now that we've been able to hear the new ones, I'm not as disappointed. Alastor, Husk, and Vox's new voices(i know Vox never REALLY had a voice, but i mean the iconic fan made one) threw me off guard HARD. And not in a bad way!! I like Alastor’s, it's more upbeat, yet it can also be intimidating like how Edward's was. Husk's voice is a BIG change!! I do like how it's now more smooth sounding, although it's still a bit difficult to match the voice to the face. Vox's voice made me cackle. I adore how it sounds, and it makes him hard "I'm better than you" nerd vibes. Or John Mulaney.

The updated animation and artstyle is BEAUTIFUL!!! Everything looks so clean and smooth, it's truly amazing what the HH team has done. MAJOR props to them!!

The fact we have yet to hear Sir Pentious is a bit concerning, but also exciting. It's been revealed his VA will be Alex Brightman, which is a bit strange that have yet to hear him. But we'll definitely be hearing him in the show!

I'm sorry I have to ramble about the stupid ass deer man- I'm very excited to see whether he plays the belated villain or if he's fighting alongside Charlie! As he says in the trailer, "It's time I remind everyone why I'm here" followed by a clip of him going (assumably) full/near full Radio Demon. Although it's not clarified whether he's talking to Charlie, the entirely of Hell, or to Lucifer/Adam. I can't wait to see how he acts in the show, and how/if he makes relationships/friendships with the others! Remember, he's the Radio Demon. He's an asshole- It also intrigues me that when it shows him using his powers, it looks like he's melting a bit. Either way, in quote of Alastor himself, "This is going to be very entertaining!"

Charlie and Vaggie are adorable together. But it does look like they're going to have some struggles in the show with maybe their relationship. Probably- based on what we've seen in the pilot and the clips for the series, Vaggie is very skeptical about Charlie's whole plan, while Charlie just wants her to trust in her.

All in all, I cannot WAIT to watch Hazbin Hotel, and see where these characters and story lead!

3 - Tell me about one of your fics you think is underrated/underappreciated.

Okay, not a Hazbin Hotel or Luci fic (go figure I’ve only posted two and both are pretty well liked) but a Voltron one (again, go figure, the onky other thing I have publish. At least on Ao3). It’s one of the one-shots I have in my collection fic (probably why it’s under-appreciated). It’s called “Notice Me” and I won’t go into too much detail b/c this is definitely NOT the fanbase for it, but basically it’s just some yummy angst, pining, and just Lance feeling like shit after months of being ragged on. With a delicious little panic attack that I had lots of fun writing (there’s nothing wrong with me I swear—)

16 - Is there a type of fic you would never write?

Hmmm… that’s a good question. Definitely nothing that’s like… the really taboo shit like incest or non-LGBTQ related M!preg (sorry y’all I am NOT on the Lucifer birthed Charlie train). Also will probably not, as of right now, ever write a Lucifer ship fic with any canon characters (expect MAYBE Lilith, but even then it won’t be the focus). It’s just… NONE of his ships appeal to me (maybe b/c I just want him so bad but I didn’t say that). And obviously angst is where I live so I probably wouldn’t write anything super smutty. I’ll read it any day of the week, but I’ll stay in my little bubble of giving Lucifer a million mental breakdowns tyvm!

30 - What do you struggle with most when writing?

Hmmm… this is a good question. I think there are a couple main things.

One, trying to fulfill the wishes of my ducklings while also not taking forever w/ certain plotlines. Obviously I’m not gonna please everyone all the time, but I try to include requests pretty soon after I read them if I don’t have a specific plan for them to show up in the future (B/c otherwise I WILL forget).

Two, sometimes motivation is a real bitch man. I’ll have all these ideas floating around, then open my fic and realize I can do ANY of that yet because I’ve gotta finish writing this specific part that I’m stuck on how to make it flow right. Also this is gonna sound weird but sometimes I think I straight up zone out while writing. Like if I’m bored, I’ll write and convince myself that everything I just put on the page was trash B/c I didn’t absorb any of it.

Three, proof-reading. I love it and hate it. I need to do it B/c if you’d SEEN some of the whack ass typos I’ve made you’d been pointing, laughing, stomping me into the dirt. But it also takes so much time. It’s much better in the tummy angsty chapters where I’m genuinely excited to read through it again. I’m always so worried about my lacing in certain scenes, whether it’s too fast, too slow, etc. Though, I have noticed, I am a LOT easier on myself when I proof-read in the morning or afternoon as opposed to at night. Which is a little strange but whatever.

32 - What's a fic you'd love to write, but probably never will?

Oooo… there are a LOT of like… ‘head fanfictions’ that have been kicking around up here for YEARS that I know I’ll never get around to B/c like… ugh. Here are a few that are Lucifer/Hazbin Hotel based:

Cast of HH reacts to the show fic. Okay, call me cringe but I actually eat those types of fics up and there is NONE out there. I just want people to react to how BAD Lucifer’s living and mental situation is right now and coddle him, is that so bad? But I know I never will because those kinds of fics take SO! MUCH! WORK!

When I’m not thinking of this fic, there’s this other general concept that gets rolled around with Lucifer basically like… sacrificing himself for both Heaven and Hell in front of like… everyone. He lives in the end b/c like they all cliché stand in a circle and sing and their ‘good’ energy comes together to help him. But like it basically gets heaven and everyone to see him in a new light and realize just how much he ISN’T the monster he’s been pained to be. And what rlly hurts is me imagining his ‘last words’ to be something like: “I didn’t fuck it up this time.” Because. You know. Angst.

OOOO and one where like… it’s set somewhere in the future where Heaven is actually being nice and giving the Hazbin Hotel a chance. Multiple sinners have been redeemed at this point and the angels are down in hell having like a celebration at how far things have come. Lucifer feels both jealous that HE will never get that chance, and just absolutely hates himself because like ALL THESE SINNERS got the chance to go back, but he’s too horrible of a person to be able to have that forgiveness. Lots of feels that I actually DON’T wanna say too much about B/c after WTiI is finished I may want to try and make this happen. I’m only putting it under THIS ask because… u know… I have no clue where my headspace will be if/when WTiI does reach its final chapter. ________________
