it's like, i really do enjoy most of the bats as characters and i really do like a lot of their comics. but also i am sooooo tired of them being hailed as better than literally everyone else. both in fanon but also in comics (modern ones are esp egregious imo, like WHAT was that shit about batman and the joker being the most dangerous men on the planet. hi. have you heard of lanterns? speedsters? supers? actually if i keep listing groups who could kick batman's ass we'd be here all day). they're like kudzu. that shit needs to stay in its native environment (funky little neo-noir detective stories) and stop being an invasive species (putting down everyone else to make them seem cooler). put bruce wayne back into a murder mystery setting that isn't about saving the world but is about saving one person or one family that no one else would've saved right now or so help me god. the whole invasive species cross contamination thing is unhealthy for both him And the other ecosystems he keeps getting transplanted into. please. it's so dark in here

ok but can we talk how in Legendary, Antinous asked a question. he’s being as rude as possible but “when’s your tramp of a mother going to chose a new husband” is a question. a question that Telemachus does not want to answer. and yeah, the immediate follow up of “why don’t you open her room so we can have fun with her” makes it seem rhetorical, but rhetorical or not, it’s definitely a question. and I’ve always wondered why Telemachus is offended by ‘tramp’ when the ‘why don’t you open her room’ thing is a million times worse.
But what if Telemachus wasn’t offended that Antinous called Penelope a tramp? The suitors have probably been saying stuff like that for ten years, he’s used to it. What if, more than anything else, Telemachus wanted to make them forget about the question they asked? What if he was just trying to distract them?

An idea that absolutely no one should fulfill - because it would take way too much digging through VODs - but is still entertaining to imagine is a Bee style Hideduo compilation video but it's just all of the times they've referred to each other as boyfriends or talked about/to each other in romantic ways while completely out of character without any of the necessary clarification and naturally the video is titled they're really hard selling it

anđeo is such a joke . png
he who spent his entiire life before as a soldier
was fascinated with how girls in peaceful side of town can be so cute & fluffy
when they are not in constant survival mode.
so, he aimed to be with one, instead of the mature, tough type
that was the only type he ever saw during his soldier time.
but here we are, watching him swallowing his own spit

So I realized today that I use an association between gifs and quotes that I’ve never explained cuz I assumed everyone would understand, which I’m now realizing might not be the case, especially with the new natla fans. So here’s a quick rundown:
The Avatar and the Firelord = the development and/or historical decline of homoerotic friendships
Sun Warriors temple from The Firebending Masters = disrupting the assumption that the past and/or ‘traditional cultures’ are inherently more conservative and that history and civilization inherently moves towards progress and justice
Firebending Masters zukaang in the flames = understanding balance within self and coming to terms with one’s shame and/or healthy masculinity
Crossroads of Destiny = savior and victim complexes and/or ego death
Aang and Zuko look in The Storm = homoerotic rivalry
Aang Flower Crown = Gender non-conformity especially in indigenous and/or cross-cultural contexts
Aang air chakra from The Guru = genocidal and colonial loss and/or the continuing presence of ancestral love
Aang happy tears = finding hope within grief

I made a post about some Bangel and Cangel parallels I've noticed (not all of them that exist, just some ones--for instance--that I've picked up on while reading the tie-in books), that I'll link at the bottom of this post... but with picture limit, I couldn't mention my last point in it, so I decided to just make a separate post about it here. So here it is.
Though, unfortunately, this one deals with the sensitive topic of Angel saving both Buffy and Cordelia from sexual assault -le sigh-
Anyway, starting out, here's the moment with Cordelia (as I think that in the chronology of the S3 books, that one happens first?).
Edit: I also respectfully ask that the shippers of both ships be kind to each other here, please. Thank you.
Cordelia:
