a mean girlism that steve harrington regularly relies on is having full blown conversations with someone in front of a third (ignored) party. like if you saw that blake lively interview when she ignores the interviewer and just chats with her costar for a good couple minutes... that.

and YEAH it's mean that's why it's called a mean girlism. but steve would utilize it SO well (and for good, not evil). when stobin comes into play, robin feels uncomfortable with it at first but once their bond is secured via russian drugs and bathroom floor talks, the discomfort disappears because SILENCE BESTIE IS SPEAKING.

like YEAH yes stobin get absorbed in each other and just completely tunnel vision, only focus on each other BUT steve sometimes throws in a little glance at the third party, maybe a snide little smile, and boom it's mean. as in as in he is using it for evil. does robin realize what he's doing? it doesn't matter bc she does Nawt care.
