oh. it's valentine's day, isn't it? an important day for ... two reasons? no, just one. @diuvus's birthday is on christmas. that's right. i remember. barely, but he does.

in reality, he hasn't gotten her anything. yagami is a constant disappointment for any woman actively paying attention. still, lying comes easily, and he can make something work.

because that's what she really wants — his time. his attention. his utmost devotion. he can only give her two of three. devotion is nothing he can offer; he can only receive.

he didn't. it was just coincidence, but it comes so naturally to bend the truth where it favors him that he does so without thinking.

such a pain. it'd be more convenient if i could speak japanese. even french. not that he was asked if english was his first language, but it always does the body good to do a little light boasting.

yagami takes a glance at his watered-down ginger ale. it's not that yagami is against drinking, but he's not about to be caught with his wits about him in a foreign country. not when my reputation is on the line.

i'm in my third year of university, so this is really important if i want to actually graduate early. these credits mean more than a few "fun nights" out on the town.

he's dressed well enough, though is a bit dull in his casually fitted tan sweater, neutral undershirt, and khaki slacks with brown loafers. compared to this crowd? he's rather stuffy, like a young professional in the making — maybe even a narc type (definitely a narc type) — but undeniably well-maintained and conventionally attractive. he even smells good with whiffs of red apple, old books, and white tea permeating off his heat points, joined gently by a few smoother tones that make him seem all the more clean, approachable, and presentable.

looking between the two of them, he and @medic4te couldn't clash anymore if they tried. even if the other were perfection incarnate, yagami would find faults & flaws. such is the nature of the beast.

i am the beast, he conscience comes to reason. no, not here, his inner narrative comes to the rescue. hark! and herald it true. in another life, in another time, on another ark ...

yagami's eyes never leave him, nor do the eyes of the creature, who instead continues to curl and gnarl himself into knots over yagami's shoulder. the chief's son gives an almost warning motion with his hand to brush off the shadow, though makes it seem like he's trying to dissuade some sort of invisible allergen from encroaching too close.

❝ that's fine. in tokyo, you see all sorts. just be yourself. ❞ please, do not be yourself. in fact, be anyone else. ❝ am i making you uncomfortable? ❞ but then michel is asking for his father, something the young king isn't surprised by, and instead indulges. ❝ he's out right now. he'll be back soon. that's why i'm out here, actually. ❞ so able to be seen and interacted with by those that find him friendly and alluring. ❝ otherwise, he'd be in his office. ❞

heart attacks, he says. yagami's eyes narrow. yes. i'm familiar.

Michel sniffs hard through one nostril, and then mimics the bow. He’s clearly not from here - his name doesn’t even sound American. Ma’s French, after all, you can tell in her sandwiches. He’s not trying to piss off the big guy yet - &. even though he had been specifically requested for this case, he could also be specifically requested to GET THE HELL OUT, too.

You know. ❜ Michel’s gaze is on the paper. He’ll enjoy cutting the bodies open, cutting open the arteries and peeling open the veins. Checking for cause. For fat, for calcium.

Well @starchaser-the-prophet has already got a playlist for Mochi! I’m sure they wouldn’t mind linking it?

Though I’m not really sure about the latter two?

Oh! And Prophet helped me come up with Mitsu and we talk about different situations and how either they or Mochi would handle it. We don’t talk a lot about Tenshi otherwise I’d have to delve into spoiler territory and they don’t read the manga.

They also got something about TBT in the works too and I can’t wait to gush over it once they’ve posted it.

I don’t think I can come up with a playlist for them since I don’t really listen to music when I write!

I draw inspiration from certain songs but I usually stick to instrumental or rain noises or even Yagami Yato ASMR when I write.
