In your Unicron & Earth AU, do the events of "One Shall Rise" still happen? With Megatron trying to awaken Unicron and all that? Or do the events play out differently?

To answer your question, yes the episode still occurs. However, there are a few small differences. Firstly, Unicron did nothing to purposefully mess with Megatron's mind or spark. By that point, the god of Death was largely content with his place. Primus wasn't going anywhere. He could kill him later, maybe after Earth was ready to detach or whenever Unicron's current shell kicked the bucket and Moon took Earth upon himself. Whatever the case, he was willing to wait. He had no need to wake quite yet.

But with Megatron running his mouth and playing with Dark Energon, Unicron was all but forced out of his slumber. He had no desire to truly partake in needless conflict, but his agitation was still present, and seeing Optimus Prime himself set Unicron off a bit. He didn't mean to, but old rage and anger took control, and by the time he calmed, there was no stopping his waking.

In this AU, Unicron did not wish to wake, and in light of its inevitability he actually did his best to help the Cybertronians reach him in time. He couldn't risk his daughter dying, not when he was drowning in her screams. He guided Megatron with visions and quieted as much of his immune system as possible. Moon sent down his drone to help offer what aid he could to the Prime and his team. Even Mars shifted out of his usual orbit just long enough to contemplate sending forth one of his drones as well. The Titans helped as much as possible without giving themselves away, and in this AU, Unicron did not fight back when Optimus came to silence him.

Otherwise, everything played out as normal. Earth spent many long months afterward recovering quietly and Moon actually began to partially transform just in case he needed to prepare to salvage whatever he could of his beloved Earth.

Sometimes I think about Alfred Pennyworth and Dana Winters growing closer as friends. I like the idea of Alfred visiting and spending time with her every chance he gets. I like the idea of Dana having a platonic relationship with a man who is nothing like Jack Drake.

They'd go on weekly lunch dates, exchange cooking recipes, and engage in conversations spanning politics to the latest episodes of The Great British Bake Off.

Alfred sending Tim off with a basket of fresh vegetables and flowers he'd harvested from the garden for Dana. Then it becomes more than just a one-time thing. Now Alfred never lets Tim visit Dana empty-handed.

Alfred and Dana having a silly competition that revolves around who can outdo each other in giving the most thoughtful gifts.

Her genuine appreciation for his efforts only fuels his desire to make her happy.

Just really cute, wholesome adult things.

Also Tim slipping into stalker mode, spying on them, wondering what the heck is going on between them.

Tim breaking into Steph's apartment and yelling, "Omg I think Alfred's dating my mom!" and Steph is just squeeing because she's already aboard the Alfred/Dana ship.

His new alt mode should be considered cheatinggggg. Look. Listen. He can fly. But he’s alt also just small enough so he can fit in any space car would fit. That guy can move in every dimension.

I spent some time being slightly sad that his design contains a lot of blue but then remembered that one of my coloring techniques makes everyone’s original colors unrecognisable anyway haha

We all know the semi-canonical ‘all the Robins know to hide/duck inside of Batman’s cape, even as adults’ thing.

We also know that Danny ‘is LITERALLY a ghost’ Fenton sucks at remembering his own intangibility while ALSO forgetting to look ahead of him.

All I’m saying is, Danny Fenton (or Phantom, if you’d really like) would absolutely SLAM into Batman on accident while running on roof tops and Bruce ‘Brooding Instinct’ Wayne doesn’t even think twice about letting the kid hide and scanning around for danger before there’s a record scratch of ‘wait who tf is this?’ kicks in.

“I’m a twin”, Damian said one night. He could feel the narrowed eyes of his family drilling holes on his back in disbelief. Not that he could blame them. Damian had never so much as implied being raised with a companion, much less a sibling.

“I had a brother”. Damian paused to recollect himself. He had not said his brother’s name out loud in over 8 years.

“His name was… Danyal”. Damian hated the way his voice wavered, but he could not help it. Danyal was everything to him, his other half. Their heart beat as one and when one heart stopped beating, the other one died with it. At least until his family put his heart on metaphorical life support without ever realizing.

“Where is he now?” His father asked, voice filled with knowing grief and a hint of betrayal. It had in fact been 6 years since Damian first showed up on his doorstep.

“Up there”. All eyes shifted towards the specific star he was pointing to. “Right before he died, he promised me he’d guide me from the stars. Unfortunately, the stars are not visible in Gotham, so my brother is unable to be of much help unless I leave the city.”

“Your brother is Polaris, the North Star?” Tim questioned warily, most likely in attempts to not offend him. Damian was aware of how stupid it sounded, but Danyal had promised, and his brother never broke his promises.

“Yes. Danyal is with the stars now, just as he always wanted”
