Hase as new principal character??

I've been thinking about the Dandadan duos for a while and how all the new characters that are introduced seem to have been selected so that they have good chemistry or have elements that make them complementary (Aira & Jiji, Kinta & Vamola, Unji & Rin). I won't talk about it here and now, but after Kouki's introduction I thought that his perfect pair would be Hase.

A girl whose main characteristic is that she receives bullying at home and at school and who is ignored by everyone and Hase who is Okarun's main bully and who seems to be on very similar terms to Kouki.

I had some hope when he returned for the physical tests chapter (chapter 167), but since he was always a character who was there from the beginning and who has not appeared again too much. I just thought it would be a good idea, but it wouldn't be developed. Now, after chapter 180…

I know many will hate Hase for good reasons. But the simple fact that they reintroduce him into the story opens up a field of possibilities that is very interesting.

Okarun's Backstory: It is possible that they use Kouki and Hase to delve into part of Okarun's story and the bullying he receives at school.

A possible redemption: I want to leave the door open to think that Hase can also have a story and not just that he is bad and that's it. This redemption interests me not so much for him, but for Okarun himself. Being able to feel safer at school and gain much more confidence.

Confrontation between Hase and Okarun: We have almost been promised in this chapter that both are going to hit each other. Okarun without powers and Hase with powers but very new ones… This can be a cure of humility for Hase and a ball of oxygen for Okarun's self-esteem and confidence.

Chapter 180: The Owner of the Kozuka Knives

The gang trying to act inconspicuous while Kouki goes undercover to find the culprit. Everybody looking away from her but Vamola just making persistent eye contact lol.

How many people is Count Saint-Germain recruiting?!?! Everybody is an enemy at this point. He gives powers to people with the white kozuka knife and has them steal powers using the black one. Plus, now we know the jiangshi and the iron ox are two separate people under Sanjome's control. So far we have: Kouki with the pygmies, the businessman as the ox, Miss Adachi with the jiangshi, and now Hase with, I'm assuming, the jumping crone.

He seems to be sending texts about targets to his "minions", we see Miss Adachi receives the same messages the businessman from last chapter got. Plus he can use telepathy now? He must be onto the kids since they're trying to find him now. He recruited Hase without even appearing in front of him.

I also think there was a translation error last chapter. On page 14, Murakami Sensei asks where Adachi Sensei is, the translation says Mr. Adachi, but I think it was supposed to be Miss Adachi. I don't believe the businessman is Mr. Adachi, since he's not a teacher, and Miss Adachi was gone to send her jiangshi after Seiko. The suspicious person walking away on page 4 is also wearing the same pants and shoes as Miss Adachi.

Some things you should know about Hase's yokai

This yokai is based on a legend of Yamauba about the spirits of old people abandoned in the forests in times of famine. (Unconfirmed theory).

In some versions of the dandadan extras, Turbo's story is also inspired by Yamauba's and elderly abandonment is mentioned. This story hasn't been corroborated within the manga, since we have never had a backstory of the turbo.

3. Her first appearance was in chapter 161. Where the Count uses his knives to use her jumping power. Creating seals where the wearer bounces.

4. In the same chapter, the count makes use of two other yokais that we will surely see in the near future: Kurokamikiri and Suiko. The Kurokamikiri has cutting powers and its legend is based on that of a spirit that cuts people's hair during the night (Rival for Aira?). While the Suiko is a water creature that is often mistaken for a kappa. Although the Suiko seems to be more powerful. (Rival for Mr. Mantis Shrip?).

5. Both the stories and the powers can be compared to those of turbo. While Turbo uses speed to fuel his attacks, Yamauba uses bounce to do the same. An Okarun vs. Hase fight on even terms would be incredible.

6. Although we didn't see a true transformation when the count used the powers, it's likely that Hase will get a Yokai transformation. Hase did use the knife to penetrate his body, while the count equipped it on his katana.

7. Although I'm not sure if this was intentional… Hase in other languages ​​is related to the word hare, which seems like a preview of what we'll see when he uses his jumping powers.
