Ok so 2024 is coming to a close and I thought I'd make one last post as kind of a reflection.

I joined The Dragon Prince fandom around September after still feeling the emotions that Season 6 had left me with. Especially when it comes to two very specific characters:

Aaravos and Leola mean so much to me and their story left so much of an impact on me that I finally came into this fandom even though I've been a fan of the show for many years. I love them so much and they mean the world to me.

Season 7 also introduced the father daughter dynamic between Aaravos and Claudia which I really love. While season 7 left a lot to be desired for me personally, I think Aaravos was amazing in season 7 and his father daughter relationship with Claudia was beautiful.

Also Ziravos. Need I say more? 💖

I typically am a very shy person and before tdp fandom, never really posted online before so this fandom has really helped me come out of my shell. Plus, I have had the honour of meeting some amazing people. This is the happiest I've ever been in a fandom!

It also got me back into writing.

While I'm typically not a fan of my writing, there are two pieces which mean a lot to me.

The first is "Our Story". What started out as tumblr prompts in an attempt to help improve my writing ended up being so much more. I got to write for the community and I got to write my own ideas. @herefortheclout19 has helped me so much with my writing and I can't thank you enough 💖

The second is this fic which I uploaded for Aaravos' birthday. This is kinda what I wished happened for season 7 but alas. I put my heart and soul into writing this fic and it means a lot to me.

Overall, since September writing for the fandom, I have written 69,833 words.

I look forward to continue participating in tdp fandom once more in 2025!

At 8 years old, Wilhelm and Simon are inseparable. When Simon abruptly stops showing up to play, Wilhelm just wants his best friend back. 

A 16, Wilhelm is sent to Hillerska to find himself and instead finds Simon – but Simon wants nothing to do with him.

simon lifts his head at the question, blinking as wilhelm’s words register. his face doesn’t give anything away, but without a word, he reaches to the lowest key on the piano and presses down hard. a deep and resonant note vibrates into the room. he lets it go after a second, but sound continues to rattle through wilhelm’s bones.

then, simon echoes his question. “are you happy here?”
