Ok, is anyone going to talk about Gunilla bullying Samirah? This is Magnus Chase from the Riordanverse BTW.

So we know that Samirah became a Valkyrie when she was fourteen and she's 16 in the MCGA series. And it states that Gunilla actively disliked and maybe even bullied Samirah because of her father.

Gunilla was 18 when she died and had centuries of experience under her belt. She should be more mature about this. And then she decides to go and bully Samirah, a teenage minor, over her parentage, something she can't control? Samirah doesn't even LIKE Loki and Gunilla still bullies her because of the whole terrible romance with the son of Loki.

Samirah, who was 14, 15 and then 16, who was living out a very stressful double life with her grandparents who COULD NOT be exposed to the magical world as it would destroy their brains, and really wanted to keep her Valkyrie job. Are you listening to this ridiculousness? And Gunilla also sabotages Samirah further editing her video footage of Magnus. Brilliant, Gunilla. Really Valkyrie worthy!

Yeah, ok, Gunilla may have died at the end of the first book, but I don't really care for her. (IMO she died because Alex was coming and Rick couldn't let them clash. Would've been so interesting to see though.)

Why not make Gunilla a mentor to Samirah? Like, she sees this poor teenage girl who's struggling to live a double life and she could help her with it. Enroll in her high school (cue the comedy). Just make excuses for her every time and cover for her with her grandparents, saying that she's a fellow tutor. It would make Gunilla more likable and her death more tragic and meaningful.

unfinished MCGA/PJO comic from a while back. Sam is worried about one of Gunilla's recruits who has been shutting himself away & is at risk of fading, so as a last resort she asks Magnus to try and help using his healing power.

Hermes knew if Luke didn't survive the Battle of Manhattan, he'd have a one-way trip to Tartarus, so he called ahead to Odin to let him know to have some Valkyries on standby & to please make sure to have someone on standby to grab Luke if he passes.

This was more of a concept in my mind, I don't have much plot attached to it, so no plans to continue at the moment.

YES!!!! i have a ton of aro and aplatonic hcs

i really enjoy aromantic percy personally. i see him as using the aromantic label to describe the fact that he has very little romantic attraction. aromantic aplatonic octavian is another one of my favorite headcanons, i think he'd lack romantic or platonic attraction but still enjoy hanging out with certain people just because he likes talking with people about things he's interested. (such as political things with reyna, and personal things with nico).

arospec allo leo is another one of my hcs, speaking of which ive seen a severe lack in aroallo pjo headcanons.

demiromantic nico is one of my faves, i think he'd be the type to generally enjoy romance and being in love but have a hard time actually falling in love with people, due to his past lack in deep emotional connections. i think he'd more value other types of love over romantic and by extention not really pay much attention to it. his character is very driven by love and his desire to care for people.

also im very in love with arospec piper atm, i feel like she's somewhere on the aromantic spectrum.

for mcga hcs i can 100% gay arospec hearthstone as well as demiromantic alex. aplatonic greyro gunilla, too.

and for the kane chronicles im very much a fan of arospec lesbian sadie as well as aplatonic aromantic anubis

I already did a Magnus Chase AU although it is not as good as the pjo ones.

But here it goes another one:

I said TJ was somewhere in the aroace spectrum in the other post but I actually believe he doesn't experience attraction at all. He has a lot of squiches though.

I also really like the idea of Alex and TJ being best friends, so maybe their relationship becomes a queerplatonic one??

TJ is right killing those slaves was not cool, so they were set free.

I really like the idea of nonbinary TJ, problaby he/they.

I also like to think that TJ spent his time learning more about African culture/history, and black history in America.

And he didn't thank the British people for them not fighting for the South.

Even though Hearth is expressive when he is signing it is hard to know what he thinks

Hearth and Blitz are a thing.

Hearth didn't meet his dad again. Him and Magnus stole the stone from his father. He did got his closure with his brother, but I don't like the idea of him meeting his abuser again.

In the end of the book Hearth decides to tell about how his father treated him to Magnus.

Inge stopped working for Hearth's father some time ago, now she is free. (I dislike the Elf world so much, but I'm no really sure how I would change it)

Halfborn and Mallory are not a couple, I didn't like their dynamic.

Alex has more traits of Mexican native indigenous people.

I also think it would be nice if we got to know her siblings. I think her parents weren't good for them too. So she meeting them and they like deciding to see each other time to time would be neat.

I also would like to know more about Adrien and Alex's friends from the pottery place.

Also Alex has adhd, I've seen some people say she has some nd traits, and why not?

I also would like to know more about the Loki's son that dated Gunilla. So, I think it would be nice if he apperead in the second book and then we would know that he was being controlled and manipulated by Loki and then he would teach Alex and Samirah how to not be affected by Loki's control. Then he would die.

And Samiah has anxiety, she constantly feels overwhelmed and she isn't doing good at school.

I feel like I like too many things in the Magnus Chase books so there aren't many things I'd like to change.

What characters in the Riordanverse do you think are underrated?

Hmm, underrated characters...

Well, basically any Kane Chronicles character is automatically underrated just by virtue of *waves hand* almost no attention to the series.

Hearthstone deserves more attention, so does Gunilla.

In the main PJO series, Tyson and Grover 🥺 maybe not so much by fanon but canon... And fanon def dismisses Grover a lot. Triton deserves *so much more attention*. Juniper too, I wanna know more about her!

Katie and Miranda deserve more attention, also Malcolm, what is going on with that boy? We know almost nothing about him but he's actually mentioned a few times like??

I can't think of anyone else rn.
