Horses are some of the dumbest built animals and i love them so much! @leonemian I could swear that you re blogged this just for me lol.

I will say it neglected the silly tubes that horses ears are.

Revising some of my horse drawing tips pages, starting with necks!

Corrected some muscle names and added more explanation/ method.

Happy New Year 2025!

On the stroke of midnight, 31st December 2024, in the wild west Highlands of Scotland, Algy took to the stage to pipe the old year out and the new year in. He was feeling just a wee bit unsteady on his feet, for the great Highland bagpipe is a cumbersome and heavy instrument for a daft fluffy bird, and he had been rehearsing all day – not to mention partying 😀 – but the great Scottish tradition must be observed!

The broad seas do indeed roar between Algy and many of his friends, but he hopes that you will all take a "right gude-willie-waught" with him, for old times' sake – that is, an excellent goodwill drink… 🥂

i couldnt decide on whether a middle finger was funnier or the trans flag but eventually decided on the trans flag. anyways new sg!maur and tg!umbra lore drop they both refuse to call gude by their name and just call them "anomaly" because that is technically what they are

I was thinking about how i'd joked before about blond anime dragkings in the 90s having been a death sentence. But honestly there's only so many of those, and seemingly fewer and fewer in modern series... Where as the archetype that came about at the same time that really did get me down bad for the next decade+ was the tan skin, red (often messy) hair, big girl/muscle girl/sword girl/athlete. (with optional tomboy or feral personality)

(I'll admit a few of these I remembered differently in my head --either I remembered their skin being darker or hair being redder-- than what turned up once I started googling, but a few are definitely a conflict of in-game sprites vs official art, or having a more noticeably darker skin tone compared to the other characters in their respective show/game, but more light skinned looking on their own)
