I couldn't help but notice that in DM4 when Gru and Poppy broke into that school and Poppy is about to walk in and Gru stops her until they check if there are some traps is just like in DM2 when Gru and Lucy broke into the restaurant and Lucy stops Gru when he wanted to walk in because she wanted to check if there were traps and she was right. Gru learned that from his wife. He had a terrible experience that night because he didn't listen so this time he was more careful. It's such a cool detail

what’s gregory and edmund relationship like in the surprise needy au?

Gregory’s about five years older than Neddy and truly they have a great relationship. Gregory’s almost like a big brother to Neddy though Gregory constantly reminds everyone that he’s Neddy’s Uncle.

It’s kind of funny, actually, the year that Neddy’s a first year at the secondary school and Gregory’s graduating and he has amped up his pursuit of his dream girl: Lucy Abernathy. (Lucy for her part has no idea that Gregory is in any way trying to woo her and assumes he’s wooing Hermione this whole time but that’s not the point for now).

“Neddy, mate, I would do this for you.”

Neddy raised his eyebrow skeptically, “I don’t think I’d want you to? Because I don’t think this’ll work.”

“It’s going to make me look cool, and caring and a great choice to maybe go to the formal with.”

Neddy sighed, “I don’t think this’ll work.”

“You look like your Dad when you make that face.” Gregory said quickly clapping his hands, “right! I’m getting into position!”

Gregory hurried across the cafeteria, not caring about his lunch tray, and the can of Coke that was being jostled to hell. His heart skipped a beat when he caught sight Lucy Abernathy sat at the table. She and Hermione always seemed to manage a table to themselves, everyone terrified to interact with them, untouchable and perfect. Lucy had a book in one hand, her fork held in the other as she listened to whatever her friend was saying.

Gregory cleared his throat, “Sorry, Ladies, do you mind if I share today?”

Lucy’s lips curved in a smirk but she barely looked up from her book. Finally Hermione shrugged,

“Sure.”

Gregory took a seat at the far end of the table, gesturing covertly with his head for Neddy to come over.

Neddy rolled his eyes and shouldered his backpack, she going a few feet away from Gregory. “Hey, Uncle Greg, can you give me a hand with this?”

He held up his maths book half heartedly.

Gregory gave him a dry look before he cleared his throat, “No problem, Neddy. Take a seat.”

Neddy flopped into the seat beside him, opening his book.

“Is she looking?” Gregory whispered.

“She look up to see who I was when I came over.”

Gregory dramatically wrapped his arm around his nephew, talking much louder, “It’s an easy mistake to make buddy!”

“Thanks Uncle Greg!” Neddy said, with a little too much sarcasm.

“Woah, what’s that tone?” Gregory hissed, “Dude! We have to sell this.”

“The PlayStation game isn’t worth it.”

I think Benedict’s season has to be next, if only bc it wouldn’t make narrative sense for it to be anyone else.

Eloise is probably the biggest contender for s4 if it’s not Ben’s, but she hasn’t met Phillip yet, let alone begun writing to him. I guess they could meet towards the end of season three and then say, “Yeah, we’ve been writing to each other on the off-season.” But i think it will be more impactful if she writes to him throughout s4 and then s5 is her season.

Francesca just got with John. They’re not going to kill him off and get her with his cousin right away.

Hyacinth and Gregory both work really well as the final two seasons, seeing as they’re the final two Bridgerton kids. And unless there’s a time jump, I don’t think either is even old enough to join society yet. Also, how would the showrunners even sell, “Yeah, we’re skipping ahead to one of the final books. Yeah, we’re doing an entire time jump instead of giving Benedict his flowers”?

hello have not been on here in literal years and reactivated simply to post my modern bridgerton hcs that came to me as i was falling asleep would not let me go until i wrote them down! enjoy!

the entire family is still very much british upper class - they regularly interact with the royals and attend all the family event like wimbledon and ascot. they are regularly featured in the pages of the tabloids much to their annoyance. they also went to either oxford, cambridge, or st. andrew’s (franny)

- anthony - still who he is, took over edmund’s position in the family business. huge company either a law firm, business like real estate or holdings. he’s ceo and damn good at his job. still viscount but it is really in name only.

- kate - still very much who she is, i can see her either going very much a lawyer or the artist route but i like to think of her as leaving her art as a hobby that she does simply for the pleasure of it.

- benedict - artist can do either painting or photography but has become very famous for it, initially it was because of the family name but then people started seeing his talent for what it is. his photos have been featured a bunch of times in british vogue and he is one of their go to photographers.

- sophie - very much a primary school teacher because of her experience with araminta as a child she was determined to not let that happen for other children so she makes damn sure that while they are at school in her class they know some one is looking out for them.

- colin - travel writer. he works for some magazine and has his own column. the magazine is owned by like some big media company that has their own building.

- penelope - pen works for a different magazine that is owned by the same parent company as colin’s so they work in the same building when colin is not on assignment. she secretly still runs lady whistledown that is like deux moi and once she gets outed she starts her own mini media empire. still besties with eloise.

- daphne - she is very much the perfect socialite philanthropist that is so perfect she seems like she would be a bitch but truly is that nice. is still married to simon after they fake dated due to some media scandal. lives her absolute best WAG life and has the season down to a science.

- simon - is a huge sports star, think david beckham. technically was still the duke but officially gave up the title to piss off his father. this man was born to be girl dad.

- eloise - once she realized just how much privilege she has, she put her money where her mouth is and is constantly going to protests much to anthony’s annoyance (not because he doesn’t agree with the cause just because she is giving the family a bad name in the press, he actually super proud of her.) el went to school for a degree in women and gender studies and is super involved in academia when not getting arrested.

- phillip/a - a botany professor at the university where el is based out of. still has the kids from their previous relationship with marina but they were able to get a divorce because it is the 21st century and co parent the twins quite well. their gender honestly doesn’t matter for this, they love plants and eloise - the order of that is not important.

- francesca - autistic, it is important to me that you know that. she is a film composer, she loves getting to create the score for movies and that it doesn’t require that much human interaction.

- john - still unfortunately passes away, but prior to that was some kind of finance guy. was generally the nicest guy and loved fran with his entire heart.

- michael/michaela - hot. like the most beautiful human being you have ever laid eyes on. they work as an actor because it’s fun but secretly are insanely smart and like build computers for fun.

- gregory - anthony’s mini me and he wouldn’t have it any other way. he works for the family company and loves it. generally small bean like but is insanely tall, like taller than benedict much to everyone’s annoyance but no one more than hyacinth. he worships the ground lucy walks on but they only have three or four kids because they have access to birth control.

- lucy - a mini kate. also a lawyer who’s family firm got bought by kate’s and then started working under her where she eventually met greg when he was visiting his favorite sister kate for their monthly lunch date. has ocd.

- hyacinth - a child prodigy, started university at like 15 (which she never lets greg forget) works as a ta (or whatever the uk equivalent is) for agatha who is an old family friend through whom she meets gareth. her field is like archeology or some other super niche thing. (agatha does not have to teach, she does it because if she doesn’t how else will the new generation ever be taught the right way to do things)

- gareth - is so fucking chill but absolutely matches hyacinths freak. no one is quite sure what he does, he has explained it many times but no one truly knows even hyacinth.

- violet - was besties with princess diana (old money england) she unfortunately passes around the same time as edmund and she just loses it. luckily it is the modern days was able to get help but it took a little while. though once she is back on her feet she is a force to be reckoned with. she runs the family foundation which focuses on mental health and allergy awareness.

Today I saw Despicable me 4. I really didn't like it, but have been a fan of Grucy since my mom did as well, so sketched something. They make a cute couple, but not sure what happened with the fourth movie, but is so nonsensical. Anyway, Grucy is always in my heart because of mom and how much it reminds me of her.

While resting, still marathoning movies and YouTube, drawing sporadically if I don't have an IV on hand, of course.

More humorous takes about the Bridgerton brothers that make me laugh is that I cannot stress enough, how much I love their 'unhinged for wife' energy. Because it's just so funny

Anthony, like, you can see it, he's not even trying to hide it, he can and will be a meanie to his nemesis Kate who he also happens to love more than life itself, and to everyone if they don't fall in line. that's his whole mojo. People meet him and know at first glance that Anthony Bridgerton will not hesitate to use a gun if the occasion calls for it, because he outright intimidates people into submission. So good luck trying to mess with him or with his wife. He will end you. Have you seen him play against his wife in Pall Mall. He loves her, but he will not lose to this woman! She will one day respect him!. He's the boss of the house dammit (he's not, it's Kate, but she lets him think he is)

Colin is my favorite. because he looks nice and he looks friendly, and he would totally sink to the deepest of the low to have Penelope the moment he kissed her. This man is absolutely as unhinged as Anthony possibly more so, and he hides it so well, that everyone thinks he's the most charming brother. In fact the only person who knows how crazy Colin really is, has to be Penelope. Colin can talk his way out of anything (even a murder sentence. Do you ever wonder why nobody has ever sued Penelope for defamation? Because I sure don't), he's a people person. It's maddening, I want to convince people that Colin is the worst of the worst, and people are still like 'but he looks like such a harmless guy, just look at him eat that eclair' yeah! I know! that's how he got to Penelope! he was all cute, pretending to be nice and by the time she discovered he was the devil in disguise, he already had blackmail material on her!!. Men like Colin scare me, because I know he's bats*t but I just can't prove it.

Benedict and Gregory are just the same version of unhinged, just in a different font. Because they actually believed themselves to be the sane ones and then they met their true loves and you see that sanity? it went out the window.

Benedict used to think he was such a gentleman, who respected ladies and would never dishonor one, and guess what kind of obsessive idiot he turned into the moment Sophie said 'no' to his seduction tactics, be my mistress this, be my mistress that, Sophie ( and I) just knows Benedict's thought process alone should be landing him in jail instead of her, but he gets away with it, because apparently annoying her to death doesn't actually count as a crime. And the thing is, that she's the only one who triggers the crazy in Benedict, he's perfectly sane with everyone else, but it's her and only her who has him going all naked swimming in the lake, and obsessive paintings of her face plastered on all his sketchbooks (and his home, actually I'm pretty sure Benedict has a secret Lady in Silver shrine somewhere in My Cottage, that he took down before Sophie could find out about it) , not to mention his whole 'F society if I can't f Sophie' love at first sight excuse that somehow everyone swallows without questioning how crazy Benedict actually is.

And then he had to go teach that to Gregory! And Gregory was such a sweetheart, I actually thought he was going to make it to half of his book without going unhinged and then Lucy tells him the name of her fiancee and he goes ' wait, I know the guy, he's super gay, I can't let you marry him... ' my brother in the force what is your problem! Leave the girl alone. She's your friend, stop stalking her, she's got her own problems to deal with!! Lucy did nothing to deserve how Gregory randomly went from nice guy she was super supportive of in the courtship of her best friend, to kinda obsessive dude who won't leave her alone and wants to ruin her arranged marriage (let's ignore that said arranged marriage needed to be ruined and it might as well be by him). Guy was a green flag for Hermione but the moment he began fixating on Lucy, homegirl kinda saw the light and was like ' he's crazy, yup, totally mad.. about me sure, but this guy... He's never been told no in his life and it shows, it shows for miles'

And I just laugh so hard because people look at Anthony's fed up face and somehow think that he's the worst to fear in in the Bridgerton family. But nobody knows just how crazy his brothers are, except their wives. At this point Anthony's resting B face has to be some sort of defense mechanism because he had to grow up with Benedict and Colin while trying to raise Gregory. He may look intimidating but he's actually a reasonable man if you think about it. But his brothers, those three are just hiding their unhinged for wife energy a lot better. And you just don't want to know what kinda chaotic crazy thing they're capable of doing if they think it would impress Penelope, Sophie and Lucy

i just imagine they would sit there completely unimpressed, lucy thinking is a stupid way to try to woo her best friend not realising she’s actually the person he’s trying to impress ahaha

Hermione honestly doesn’t even notice but let’s not forget that Lucy is harboring a little crush on Gregory Bridgerton and his dimples.

She thinks helping his nephew with his maths homework is a pretty dumb way to woo her friend honestly. Why not just walk up to Hermione with a puppy at this point? Stupid. She almost wants to take pity on him and give him some advice. She would but she’s not quite ready to suffer the brutal humiliation of the boy she’s had a crush on since she was twelve saying

“Sorry, what was your name? You’re Hermione’s friend right?”

She has some self preservation.

And besides, she doesn’t really think Gregory needs any tricks to get Hermione interested in him. Gregory’s kind, and cute, and his hair does a little swoop into his eyes and she likes the little pokemon that hangs off his backpack. It’s cute. Bulbasaur maybe? She’s not a hundred percent sure. She just knows he’s nice, and if Hermione just opened her eyes instead of chasing after her Dad’s assistant who’s honestly way too old to be flirting with her; Hermione would see that Gregory’s great. Just the way he is.
