Late Lunch
Picked up The Cat at the airport. Airline don’t know where her check-in is at the moment. Sigh. Anyway, lunch at Liliha Bakery. Their Famous Butter Rolls With the “infamous” neon jelly. hehe. Vegetable Omelet Mixed grain rice, small side salad. Grilled Mahi Mahi Also with mixed grain and side salad. And homemade tartar sauce. Yum! Takes The Mouse back to the 1970’s Waikiki. Tourist food.…

Last fourth of July, my mom and I decided to spend in Orlando, Fl. We dined at Terralina Crafted Italian in the heart of Disney Springs to celebrate. The catch of the day arrives, a perfectly grilled Mahi and plump shrimp. With each bite, the Mahi's smoky grill marks release its delicate flakiness, complemented by the shrimp's briny sweetness.
Beneath the seafood sits a crispy fried risotto cake, its golden exterior offering a delightful crunch, revealing creamy, comforting risotto within. The sun-dried tomato ver blanc sauce, rich and velvety, adds a tangy, creamy complexity to every bite, I'm in heaven.
To elevate this culinary experience, a glass of Chardonnay, perfectly chilled, complements the flavors with notes of apple and vanilla, creating a harmonious pairing.
In this moment, I'm sent to a world where every bite is a celebration of taste and texture, a journey for the senses.

This was a couple weeks or so ago, but I finally grilled something this season: mahi mahi and brussels sprouts (and onion). I love to have mahi mahi fillets with mango salsa, and I daresay I make a damn good mango salsa. The dingy box in the photo has some wood chips in it to smoke the fish a little while it cooks. I also made esquites again (or an esquites-inspired side dish, if you prefer). Hellmann's is fucking dangerous for me to have around, though, as it turns out, so... maybe I should stop buying it. That shit has no right to be as delicious as it is. Also, I turned the fish marinade into a sauce like I did for the tuna steaks I cooked a while back. No recipe for it, though. It was just lemon juice, jarlic, and seasonings like I've always done for mahi mahi.

Hi Rassicas
Is there any evidence that salmonids can respawn like inklings and octolings? I know Little buddy respawns in hero mode but could that be applied to other salmon? I know the salmonids and octarians trade with each other so “resepawner” parts could be traded. I know the salmonids like death, but could it be that they like dying multiple times perhaps making a never ending cycle. Would this be how salmonids become king salmon, just respawning over and over and becoming better versions of themselves?
Anyways thanks if you see this. Sorry if this question was long and wordy.
There is no evidence that they, or any species other than inklings and octarians, can respawn. Respawning seems to involve rebuilding the body out of ink, and thus requires being made of ink, not just being able to use ink. This is something that has been consistent in Splatoon's canon so far, not even Big Man respawns! The way smallfry "respawns" can be chalked up to gamification. Like you said, It's been confirmed that Salmonids in salmon run do not fear death, and die with honor. But they wish to be eaten deliciously to become one with the world. I think if they just respawned that would run against that idea.
^all signs point towards Salmonid permadeath (pictured: Salmonid on a grill at mahi-mahi resort) Something else to consider is that "Splatoon: the gameplay experience" and "Splatoon: The Lore" are not 1 to 1. Those eggs can't be literally magically flying towards you when you shoot a fish, and the salmonids dont all have the exact same face either! Certainly, Salmonids do die during Salmon Run, but I believe something a little different would be happening in-universe. Like those salmonids would be leaving behind bodies instead of just exploding into a G-rated ink puddle. Maybe some of the ones we "kill" in-game don't actually die, but just get knocked out and crawl back into the sea, injured. Kings still work with game logic too, but idk, for me thinking about salmon run in that way makes the existence of Kings make more sense.

hammerhead bridge, museum d'alfonsino, and mahi mahi resort out of bounds stuff!
there are a few things id like to talk about with this set of pics!
first of all, i think its a really nice touch how the nils statue now has moss/algae growing on it! the last time we saw it (mc princess diaries) this wasnt the case, so i think its cool that they intentionally went out of their way to add this even though its barely able to be seen in-game!
secondly, they are. grilling salmonids on mahi mahi..!
at first this was super weird to me, but with being eaten being such a big part of salmonid culture, i guess its not that absurd to see them being cooked.

Siquijor Island has 23 wonderful dive sites, some right in front of Coco Grove Beach Resort. Tubod Marine Sanctuary also lies directly in front of the resort. They have three fully equipped restaurants serving traditional Filipino and European cuisine as well as fresh seafood.
From breakfast to dinner, you can indulge in their impressive menu of seafood, international cuisine, and signature dishes that are ingeniously incorporated with island influences (still thinking about their Grilled Mahi Mahi).
On weekends, they often have barbecue nights and live musical performances from the Siquijor Island Dance Company which just lights up the place and gets everyone on the dance floor, too! Of course, we did not miss the chance to watch their show!
During our buffet dinner, we were serenaded by the band performers. Honestly, we thought this was the highlight of the night, but it was really the extremely thrilling performance of the Siquijor Island Dance Company that left us in awe.
It was indeed a magical night with Siquijor Dance Company.
Just about when our trip to Siquijor is about to end, we are thinking when will be coming back. Haha. Siquijor is indeed a paradise for everyone to encounter at least once in their life.
