That's the day that Chad and I found out that the show wasn't coming back. Or the, that I'm sorry, I take it back. That the show was coming back just without us. -Hilarie 

Wait, the day you were shooting your flaming Amy's flashback. Tell us everything. -Sophia

Well, we'd shot everything else. Right? -Hilarie

Wait, wait, wait. So you were doing these flashbacks, these like this deep nostalgia episode, not knowing that it was teeing up the exit. -Sophia

I was put in the blonde wig again as punishment for having red hair. Right. And I noticed a conversation with like Brooke and Victoria where it was like, are you really gonna leave the company and ruin the careers of all the people that you've been?  Like such a pointed conversation for you to have to have 'cause we were all in contract negotiations at this point, except me. I had never gotten a phone call from anybody. And so they were making offers to everybody and everyone was trying to hold the line. And all they needed were a couple people to sign on in order for the show to come back. And Chad and I never even got phone calls. So we were seated in that diner booth and we're like, it's our last day of filming. We did all of the present day stuff, we did most of the flashback stuff. And all of a sudden our producer Greg Prange is like, all right, everybody like pause what you're doing, circle up. Just wanted to make the announcement. The show is coming back. We've been picked up for a seventh season. And Chad looks at me and he's like, have you even gotten an offer? And I was like, no. And he's like, I haven't gotten an offer. And so around us, everyone around us is like hugging and high fiving. I mean, it felt like balloons were dropping from the ceiling. Everybody was so fucking pumped. And he and I just kind of sat there and we knew it was coming. We had, you know, Peyton got hit by a car in the last episode. She's on her death bed, you know, and he and I were the highest paid actors on the show. And we knew we were on the chopping block. And so our bosses, Voldemort and other Dipshits were in town. And we said, can they come to set? They were at the production office and we were at Flaming Amy's. We like, can they come to set? It's only, it's two o'clock in the afternoon. Can they come here and just like explain to us what's going on? Is there something, can someone just talk to us? They refused. They would not come speak to us. And instead they took other actors out to dinner that night to celebrate. And so Chad and I wrap work and I gotta take that fucking wig off. and you know, there's a sense of betrayal 'cause you're like, huh, okay cool. We didn't hold the line and so we'll go be the expendable ones. Fuck it. And Chad and I decide for the first time ever in our time together in Wilmington, that we are gonna go out together and we are gonna tie one on. And so Chad and I ended up at the Whiskey, which was like a bar right on the corner of downtown. You know, and like metal bands played there. And Bibis, our friend would play there all the time until two o'clock in the morning. He and I are just like sweating and smoking and drinking and dancing. And Chad's a very good dancer and every college chick in the place is like, oh my God, it's Lucas and Peyton and they're really together and this is so crazy. And it was insane. And so then from two to three o'clock in the morning we sat on, on like a retaining wall downtown and just really discussed like, we're out. We've had this shit dangled over our heads. There's no one here who's fighting for us. You know, the friendships are fake. It's not real. And we're gonna go and we're just gonna do some other stuff and we'll always tell each other the truth. You know? And so he walked me home and I remember that also being kind of weird. It felt like a date. It's the one date that Chad and I went on and it was very platonic. And then I called him a cab. And even the cab driver was like, I'm picking up Lucas Scott from Peyton Sawyers house.  It was crazy. But from that moment on for the whole rest of this season, it was, it was hell. It was really bad. It was really bad. 'cause it was, it was so pointed, you know, I'd been the person to do every upfront, every TCA every advertiser dinner party. I hosted the launch party for the CW  I had been the company girl and it was the biggest fuck you. -Hilarie

But Chad and I had this magic night. We still laugh about it. I mean it was, it was probably the hardest I ever partied in Wilmington. And he didn't really drink, so I remember being shocked. Shocked, That he was drinking his like vodka cranberries or whatever he was drinking. We were both just so blindsided by it.  Like we, we knew it was coming, but until it happens. -Hilarie

Wednesday afternoon M was finishing a cup of coffee when Kason walked in and stood in the doorway. He leaned against the frame and smiled.

Kason: Look who I found outside.

Behind him stood Kiersten and Winter arm in arm like they'd known each other forever. Venus and Ishtar ran in to greet Winter.

Ishtar: Auntie Winter!

Venus: Queen of Fairies. We welcome you.

Winter: My dino master! And if it isn't my firey guard herself. How are the royal voidcritters? Trained and ready for battle I hope.

Venus: Always ready my queen.

They shared a laugh and Winter gathered them both into a long hug. After greeting the remaining members of the Gratz household, elated, M led the woman out into the backyard for some privacy. Winter headed over to the cooler to grab a drink while Kiersten wandered over to Kason's work shed giving M and Winter a moment alone. Unable to wait another minute they embraced. M pulled Winter in close but when she did she felt the slight bulge beneath her coat. She took a step back and stared at Winter, the unspoken question hanging between them, until M could no longer handle the silence.

M: Are you?

Winter: I didn't want to tell you over the phone.

M: Oh my watcher congratulations! When did you find out?

Winter shook her head smiling at her friend. She had missed M a great deal and was eager to share her own news but she had a duty to herself and Peyton to find out what had happened.

Winter: Nope, later. First, tell me everything.

Mercury caught Winter up on the Paris incident with Kiersten filling in any missing details. Bundled in their coats to fight the chill of late fall on the coast, they attempt to dissect Paris's behaviors.

Winter: I saw you a season ago. How did the Leprechaun from hell manage to start that much trouble? What’s her obsession with you?

M: *sigh* It was more my mess than anything. I never should have listened to anything she said, but the pictures blinded me, and I took out my fears on Kason.

Kiersten: Don't take responsibility for Paris's actions! She's a horrible person. She wanted to hurt you and Kason. But that seems to be her thing. She didn't even think twice about using her friend for her personal game.

Winter: Kiersten is right M. Don't give that bitch any more excuses for her poor manners and offensive behavior. She's lucky I don't put a spell on her!

Kiersten: Ooo that sounds like the perfect idea. Maybe one to zip her big mouth shut for a while.

Winter: Try forever.

It was the first time Winter and Kiersten had met. M was combining her two worlds and she hoped that her lifelong partner in crime could grow to like her new down-to-earth comrade.

So far it was going better than Mercury could have imagined. It was like striking gold. M loved Kiersten with her motherly attitude. She was sweet but honest and down for a fun time. But no one could contend with the creative, high-spirited, trouble-making fairy. Yet the two women interacted as though they had been friends their whole lives instead of a few short hours.

Kiersten: Rufus told me that since that night Paris has been worse than before at work. She even seems to have it out for Rufus now and they aren't even in the same department, and with Kason gone the last couple of days after the big promotion she's been in rare form.

M: Greg hasn't done anything to get her in order?

Kiersten: Greg has been away on vacation since the night of the company dinner. He flew to Tartosa with his husband.

Winter: Can't Kason just fire her? Sounds like your whole town is under attack. I'm just glad it turned out okay. Peyton tried to get on the first train out here. He was packing and mumbling something about kicking Kason's ass if any of it was true trying to calm him was hilarious. Come to think of it I owe Kason a smack on the head.

The women laughed. It was a relief to finally be able to talk about Paris so openly. M hadn't mentioned Paris or Madison unless she was talking to Takara. She even stopped asking Kason about Paris at work afraid to break the peace that had descended on their lives. If he didn't mention her neither would she.

Kiersten: Peyton is your husband right?

Winter looked over at M who had a smug smirk on her face

M: Yeah Winter is Peyton your husband?

Winter rolled her eyes and turned to Kiersten.

Winter: You have no idea what you've just started.

M: No go on Winter. Tell us when and how you got married.

Winter sighed and removed her coat. Hanging upside down on the sofa she rushed through the story.

Winter: We still lived in San Myshuno and the romance festival was in town. So Peyton and I stopped by just for a cup of Sakura tea when he got dragged into a love reading from one of those phony guru guys. Anyways he told Peyton not to make long-term plans about our relationship and that pissed Peyton off. You know Mr. I get what I want, he tried to get the guy to change his reading, and when he wouldn't Peyton swore he'd show him that we were meant for each other. Long story short, he pulled me over to the festival wedding arch and we were married that night.

Kiersten smiled with tears in her eyes, but M narrowed hers.

Kiersten: Wow! That's quite the story. It's simple yet so roman-

M: Moral of the story, she robbed me of my chance at being a bridesmaid!

Winter: Here we go again. No I did not! We’ve been over this. There wouldn't have been any bridesmaids because we would have married quietly at the courthouse! And you would have been my maid of honor. In charge of all the gritty stuff plus I’d get to boss you around.

M: Like you do already.

Winter knew that if she ever settled down she wanted to be married in private just her, her family, and her mate.

Winter: Besides you can't blame me for this it was completely Peytons idea.

M: I dont remember hearing a part in the story where you tried to stop him.

Winter: You can be Kiersten’s Maid of Honor, problem solved.

M: She’s already married Winter!!

Winter: Oh, right. Oh well.

Kiersten watched the two go back and forth. They became more animated the longer they bantered, but it was all in good spirit. Kiersten could tell they were close. She had missed this kind of female company until she’d became friends with M and she could feel Winter quickly growing on her. Suddenly she had a thought.

Kiersten: Oh my watcher! What if we plan her a wedding?

M rounded on her dropping back into the seat closest to Kiersten with a huge smile and flirty eyes.

M: Maybe you should marry me? Why didn’t I think of that it’s a great idea!

Winter hung her head and pinched the bridge of her nose.

Winter: I should have known you would be trouble, you are as bad as a fairy. Goddess like appearance yet a heart made of pure evil and you! Mercury Gratz if you-

M: Oh you have no idea. Kiersten grab Dite were about to go shopping.

Memorie Della Collina

Su Instagram mi è stato mandato uno di quei template da condividere con le serie tv. E tra la scelte c'è questa: rispetto ad altre dello stesso periodo (inizio anni 2000m la serie è andata in onda dal 2003 al 2012), è probabilmente meno famosa, ma One Tree Hill ha ancora dei fanche la ricordano con affetto. La serie, creata da Mark Schwahn, ambientata nella fittizia città di Tree Hill in Carolina del Nord e segue le vite di due fratellastri, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) e Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), il cui rapporto evolve, nel corso della serie, da acerrimi nemici a fratelli devoti. Tra gli altri protagonisti, Peyton Sawyer, interpretata da Hilarie Burton, Haley James, interpretata da Bethany Joy Lenz e Brooke Davis, interpretata da Sophia Bush (che sono i personaggi nella foto).

Tra le chicche della serie, due musicali: è stata l'unica serie, insieme a The Sopranos, ad avere il placet direttamente dai Led Zeppelin per l'utilizzo di un loro brano (in questo caso, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You); lo stesso titolo della serie, One Tree Hill, venne a Schwahn mentre ascoltava The Joshua Tree degli U2, che hanno una canzone dello stesso titolo. La quale è un gioiello dalla storia triste: One Tree Hill è infatti il nome di una località non lontana da Auckland da cui proveniva Greg Carroll, uno degli assistenti di Bono, morto in un incidente stradale in Irlanda mentre guidava la motocicletta nel 1986, dopo pochi giorni dall'inizio delle registrazioni del memorabile disco. Il brano è famoso perchè, ricorda Brian Eno, Bono lo riuscì a cantare per intero in una unica, toccante, registrazione, con il famoso finale cantato in falsetto.

 How many books did you read this year?

58, and that might be 59 soon. So not as much as last year, but I've had a really good time.

23. The book with the prettiest cover

I have to answer with two for this because wow. You'll have to click the first one for the full image. I'm just obsessed with these covers.

25. Did you discover any new authors?

I sure did! Rob Boffard (though I wasn't that impressed with him), Claudia Gray (love her depiction of padawan Obi-Wan), Joe Schreiber (honestly, that guy can't write endings), Betty Adams (I totally recommend her books for some fun and laid back sci-fi!), Greg Rucka (not much to say about him), Adam Christopher (this guy knows his Star Wars), Kiersten White (slow build-up with her writing and maybe not the most interesting follow-through, so...), Aiden Thomas (this dude is literally the best), Sasha Peyton Smith (comes up with compelling ideas, but I don't think her publisher gave her enough time to follow through on them, which was pretty disappointing), Jennifer L. Armentrout (accidentally became on of my favorite authors because next thing I know I have 7 of her books), Bram Stoker (we all know about him now), and Char Q (fandom writer, really compelling thoughts on Supernatural). So without all the commentary: Rob Boffard, Claudia Gray, Joe Schreiber, Betty Adams, Greg Rucka, Adam Christopher, Kiersten White, Aiden Thomas, Sasha Peyton Smith, Bram Stoker, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Char Q. Damn, that's 12 authors! Okay! (Sorry for how long this one is.)

27. Did you discover any new genres?

I think technically I did with reading Dracula because I haven't read gothic horror before.

After their second day at the Newcrest office Kason changes and tries to leave in a hurry, but Paris catches him on the way out.

Paris: Tinker Station set you on fire?

Kason: What?

Paris: You seem like your in a rush. Hot date with your phone and a hotel room?

Kason: Really Paris.

Paris: I'm kidding. Your being so boring, always cooped up in that room.

Kason: Goodnight Paris.

She folds her arms and smiles.

Paris: Have fun!

Mercury true to her word, takes the kids to San Myshuno to visit with Winter and Peyton. Adrianna and Crimson take the triplets to play while M, Winter and Peyton talk in the Livingroom.

Peyton: How's life without the tinker fairy?

Winter: Peyton shut up. M how are you feeling?

M: Its okay. I told you my mom and dad came over and the kids have been good, Things are fine...

Winter: Then why do you look so sad.

M: I don't know....its just the trip..

Winter: And?

Peyton: That girl from Kason's office. The one he's been complaining about for weeks. He was pissed when Greg gave him the kid as a trainee.

Winter: That's what your worried about? M there's no way. Kason would never cheat on you!

Peyton: Come on M this is my brother were talking about. Even I know better than that.

M: You guys have it all wrong. I'm not worried he's going to woohoo her or anything. I just...miss him you know. We've never been apart like this, he's working and I don't want to get in the way. It's silly

Winter: So its not about leprechaun Paris?

That gets a laugh out of both Mercury and Peyton.

M: No. I trust Kason. That thought never even crossed my mind. Plus he hates her more than I do. I'm just feeling lonely I guess.

Winter: I'll take care of that. Peyton watch the kids for a bit. I'm gonna take M for a drink at the POLA Rooftop Bar @ The Seno
