"...SO WHAT'S THE SECRET OF MAKING A GOOD MOVIE ADAPTATION OF A VIDEO GAME?"
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on front cover box art for "Rampage" (Atari 2600), released by Balmy Midway in 1986, plus more poster art for 2018's sci-fi/action/adventure/monster movie "Rampage," loosely based on the popular video/arcade game.
Resolution at 1153x1419 & 1000x1490.
COLLIDER: "There are a lot of bad movies that are based on video games. So what’s the secret of making a good movie adaptation of a video game?"
DWAYNE JOHNSON: "Great question. I’m not quite sure what the secret is. I can tell you what we wanted to do was we wanted to collectively get together and put together the best team possible to execute on the script, and that means bringing in all the great department heads. We had a great studio who does this very well, we’ve got a team in Brad Peyton. Yes, we’ve done "San Andreas." Before "San Andreas," we’ve done ["Journey 2"]. That’s when I found how talented Brad was. At that time, we were using James Cameron’s new cameras right off of "Avatar," it’s pretty cool, and how Brad was able to execute that."

Summer is upon us, and here on What's New to Netflix, we find a lot to discuss when we peruse the list of titles coming to Netflix in June 2024.
Then Jerry Seinfeld stars and directs this somewhat true story of how the Pop-Tart was invented in Unfrosted from 2024. Next, Shia LaBeouf befriends a runaway as they go on an unpredictable journey together in The Peanut Butter Falcon from 2019. And last, Jennifer Lopez has to fight a rogue AI while overcoming her own fears and trusting an unlikely ally in Atlas from 2024.
All of this plus early 2000s nostalgia, movies stealing the plot from Addams Family Values, sexual healing, Ultraman, magical schools, twin cinema, mid-'90s nostalgia, finding out who "the Mole" is, and owning all of Manhattan.

“If you make a smart robot, the first rule should be: Do not harm people”
If Jennifer Lopez played a hopeless, wide-eyed romantic who’s always rushing into a new relationship in her last film, “This Is Me… Now,” she takes a complete U-turn in the 2024 sci-fi flick “Atlas,” where she plays protagonist Atlas Sheperd, a brilliant but…

Movie Review ~ Atlas
Occasionally succumbing to sci-fi clichés, Atlas may be grand, overworked, and overlong, but nonetheless manages to remain a captive viewing experience.
