The Bacchae :

It's one of Euripides' latest plays (he died before it premiered) and pemiered in 405 BC ! Dionysos female followers get to tear a guy to pieces manually, you get a great catharsis when you're mad at someone, those rich fuckers in their elitist college get to experience murder and everyone's good !

Pygmalion :

This is very specifically for the play (especially the 1916 print edition with the post script essay) and not the musical adaptation of My Fair Lady which changes the ending.

I’m so fucking mad that there were multiple plays (both Greek and Roman) about Andromeda that expand on her character and her relationship with Perseus and her parents but they’re all lost or fragmented and now ppl can’t view Andromeda as anything more than a damsel in distress with no agency bc they wouldn’t bother to read between the lines with the sources we do have and do their research about her.
