Visuals of panels #27,#28 and #29 from the 176 foot "Geo #98" mural created for the @sandiegomuseumofart in 2019. The mural in it's entirety is the largest solo work to date in the history of the SDMA. A selection of panels are currently featured throughout @portovistahotel in the @littleitalysd neighborhood of @sandiego . This post continues the process of featuring the panels from #44 to #1 in descending order so that the entire forty four panel mural will piece together in its original form over a series of posts. . . Almost three years after his last solo exhibition at Pretty Portal, Roman opens his magic box and conjures up a wonderful compilation of new works. Roman Klonek’s artworks show intoxicating, dreamlike worlds in which he tells stories of wild animals and anthropomorphic creatures. His stories take us into fluffy, absurd landscapes and repeatedly amaze us. Text elements in various types of writing, which are rather foreign to us, and which Roman, with a wink, calls oddity enhancers, round off his compositions. But not only Roman’s visual worlds are something very special. The double/ both side’s worked/ painted painting on woodplate shows the artist name ‘ SEAK ‘. The piece is still in work in progress. Mixed media. Started as a side piece playing with a non outcome dependent mind with colours, forms. Being the painter/ artist seducing him self playing less save to keep the inspiration flowing. Allowing the magic happen outside the comfort zone. With in this style the German artist (b.1974 cologne) SEAK Claus Winkler painted/ exhibited with in the American continent in city’s like Nyc ( meatpacking district, in the southbronx ), upstate newyork, in Vermont/ Burlington, Chicago southside, Ontario/ Canada, Las Vegas/ Nevada, SanDiego/ CA, Los Angeles ( Downtown/ Westhollywood/ NorthHollywood/ Alhambra/ Watts/ Hollywood/ ), Tijuana Mexico, Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico, Portland Oregon, San Francisco ( Soma/ Mission), Oakland/ CA, Miami Beach Artbasel, Wynwood before it became the art district, during the mid 2000s, following up the interest of 10000s of fellow painting artists collegs being interested in SEAK Claus Winkler’s artwork/ style following him from thru the 1990s Web/ internet/ international art book/ art magazines/ underground art magazines publication/ word of mouth.
