Visuals of panels #27,#28 and #29 from the 176 foot "Geo #98" mural created for the @sandiegomuseumofart in 2019. The mural in it's entirety is the largest solo work to date in the history of the SDMA. A selection of panels are currently featured throughout @portovistahotel in the @littleitalysd neighborhood of @sandiego . I stepped off the trolley in downtown San Diego and made my way onto India Street, feeling the rush of the city around me. Walking down this historic street, my senses were immediately awoken by the vibrant colors, fragrant smells, and energetic sounds that surrounded me as I entered this amazing city’s Little Italy neighborhood. The sun was high in the sky, casting a warm glow on the bustling street, which was alive with the energy of locals and tourists alike, it was as if I had entered another world entirely. The aromas of freshly baked bread, simmering sauces, and roasted espresso beans wafted through the air, beckoning me to explore further as people wandered up and down this breathtaking street taking in the sights and sounds of the packed cafes, gelaterias and trattorias. I am filled with gratitude that the Rev. Chili Cilch share her knowledge of the remarkable Harbor Breakfast restaurant a couple years back. The restaurant has never disappointed when it comes to service and amazing breakfast options. This morning I ambled down from La Pensione to the restaurant full of anticipation of a tasty breakfast I would find there. I settled on the “Shrimp Diablo” with 3 Eggs scrambled with Smoked Bacon, Green Onions and Roasted Red Bell Peppers topped with 3 seasoned Jumbo Shrimp and Guajillo Salsa with a side of gravy to go with the biscuit. I kept it simple with a drip coffee and real cream. This was maximum comfort with a twist. Those fat spicy shrimp were TDF. The biscuit and gravy was like a Deep South hug. Victorian Chippendale oval dining table extends with a crank mechanism from 53" to 83.5" with the two leaves in place. The table is constructed of English oak and executed in the Chippendale style, indicated by the carved-knee cabriole legs ending in dragon claw and ball feet on original casters. We have edited some photos to show what the table looks like without the casters as well as with. The apron is enhanced with blocks and a plain molded edge and houses the brass lined hole for the crank. The crank mechanism carries its metal trade label from Joseph Fitter, owner of Britannia Works, Birmingham, patentee and sole manufacturer of the Double Action Screw Table Expander. Britannia Works was in business from 1864 through 1922, although a later ad from 1939 indicates the business was around somewhat longer than 1922. SIZE: 41.5" deep 53" closed 83.5" open with two leaves in place 29.5" high 24.5" to apron Table comes with its two original leaves and crank. You can use table without leaf or with one leaf or two.
