I have been working on this for weeks and weeks. I drew them one by one in chronological order... I'm really scared that people won't like it or worse they won't acknowledge it. I know my Azi's aren't one to one and my art style is a bit cartoony and inconsistent but next to The Departure, this is the biggest creative undertaking I've ever done. So, uh, yeah. I hope you like it.

Before the Arrangement
It never really needed arranging.
Before the beginning,
you didn't cause waves
I was there
and after it
everything is different.

Ok, so I sent an ask to Neil but didn’t hear back and so now I seek the opinion of you my lovely dear readers and fellow Good Omens obsessives.
I laughed when I first saw this scene because to me, it SEEMED like this scene was implying the Pilars of Creation were beginning to turn into giant letters, specifically F and U. Which to me implies that if we were to continue observing the newly formed stars, then perhaps they’d continue to spell out a certain four letter word. Caused by Crowley being quite upset in finding out it was all going to be destroyed in 6000 years.
Is it just me? Or was that definitely the joke of this scene? Did anyone else notice it? Is it supposed to be obvious? Or am I suffering from pareidolia?
What does everyone else say?

About the "Before the Beginning" scene
There is one part of Aziraphale's and Crowley's conversation in the "Before the Beginning" scene that I found particularly interesting, because it reminded me of some real-life conversations that I have seen happening in religious contexts.
There are some religious people who keep talking about how wonderful God's creation is, yet they don't show any real concern for it. They don't protect the environment, they don't care about making sure that everyone is granted their human rights.
That is because they view creation only as a proof of how great God is. Much like Aziraphale in "Before the Beginning", when he expresses the belief that all the stars and the nebula "exist just so that the people can look up into the night sky and marvel at the illimital vastness of the Allmighty's creation".
Crowley, on the other hand, thinks that creation has a value in and for itself, and therefore deserves respect: "It's the universe, not just some fancy wallpaper! Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, oodles of everything, it's not just put here to twinkle!"
Tumblr media
That is why he is so opposed to the idea of Armageddon. He believes that no one should be allowed to damage all these things, not even God him-/herself. The ability to create life does not give you the right to destroy it.
This thought can be extended even further. There are people who claim that certain things (e.g. homosexuality) are unwanted by God. And those who feel different are told that they must deny who they are and bend to God's will, because they are his creatures.
But, for those who believe in God: Does the fact that God created us give him the right to make even the most personal decisions for us? Or should we be able to choose for ourselves how we want to live our lifes?

Sometimes I have some trouble finding reference images for my art, so I just put them in one spot. Be warned, this doc is like 150 pages long (and subject to expanding)

I first saw this fanart soon after I joined the fandom and I still love it. So dark, so gutwrenching, so inspiring.

HOLY SHIT
I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MY IMAGINATION
Hi! I noticed at the start of season 2 of good omens Crowley's wings are darker after he learns what is planned for the universe, is just my overthinking and shadows or a sort of sign of Crowley's "loss of faith"?
It's a thing we worked on very hard.

Ima start with a piece I'm very happy with.
Current Hyperfixation is Good Omens, so my personnal journal has to go through GO themed decoration of course!
I make a page for each month, and here is June.
Tumblr media
A bit crowded but I spent a good chunk of time on it (most of it being a full afternoon watching Season 2 in the background)
It's watercolours and colour pencils with gold and white gel pens for the details.
Hopes you like it! ❤️
Edit :
I posted some pics of the sketches for this piece for those interested there.

Can I hear a Wahoo?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My personal AU of the origin story why Crowley loves to hear a "Wahoo" in S1. In my headcanon, Angel-Crowley was also making presentations to the other angels about his inventions and the efficency behind them, and everyone except Aziraphale react to that, being the kind angel he is with words of support. I think a lot of angel crowley. He lives rent-free in my head.
This idea was running through my head for quite some time and I'm happy to finally bring it to life <3 I tried another art style than my 'normal' more rendered look. What do you think about that?

And in the background of the eden gif Adam and Eve are reaching out to one another to hold hands…
Aziraphale raising his wing for Crowley hits so different with the S2 context. I feel like we all looked at it as, here’s this sweet little principality, he’s kind and naive so he’ll shelter even a demon—but it wasn’t really that, was it? It wasn’t just some random act of kindness.
It was a message.
When Crowley slithered up that wall, Aziraphale was nervous. Because he gave his sword to the humans, sure—but also perhaps because he was seeing this angel again for the first time since he had fallen. He learns Crawly’s new name (Crowley never asks him for his name, he knows it already) and they have a brief exchange that was probably a lot like the ones they used to have.
Then when the thunder starts, it’s Crowley who’s first to move to him, to shuffle hopefully to his side.
I think when Aziraphale lifted his wing up, it was almost a way to say I remember who you are, I remember the kindness you gave me. I’m still here.
He wasn’t just playing umbrella. He was letting Crowley know he hadn’t been rejected by all of Heaven.
