One thing that did not go unnoticed by me in the Good Burger movie was that Dex and Ed had no real 3rd act breakup, one of the few movies I've ever seen that managed to escape that.
No liar revealed, no forced argument that make them mad at each other for 10 seconds before the climax, like Dex didn't like Ed for half the movie but once they became real friends there was no real conflict between them specifically for the rest of the runtime.
And turns out I liked that a lot, bring that back

hi 👋 LPS staff I I have a three questions .
1- what are favourite food?
2-what is your birthday ?
3-what do you favourite season? (Summer ☀️. Fall🍂 . Winter. ❄️ .spring 💐)
Hello to you, too! I asked around the store and here’s what I got :)
Russell- I can’t really say if I have a favorite, but I have been in the mood for falafel recently.
Pepper- PEPPERoni pizza (hehe get it… cuz my name’s Pepper… make sure you capitalize the pepper part no no don’t write all this down Penny).
Zoe- Low-fat foie gras.
Sunil- I love mangos. They are hardly ever in season around here, though.
Vinnie- My dad’s meatballs are the best. Man, no one can make it the way my dad does. They’re really salty and meaty and… ball-y.
Minka- Bananas! Is that obvious? I don’t care!
Picking a favorite food is too hard! Hm. If I had to choose what I want right now… a big burger! Ooh! And french fries and a milkshake! How long until my lunch break again?
Birthdays
Seasons
Russell- I enjoy the quiet of morning in the winter.
Pepper- Winter = christmas = getting stuff = THE BEST!!
Zoe- Summer lets me show off all my favorite pieces from my wardrobe, not that a silly thing like temperature could prevent me from looking fabulous, of course.
Sunil- Fall is the one time of year where I don’t catch a cold or my allergies don’t act up.
Vinnie- I say weather isn’t good until it’s over 80 degrees, so summer is the only choice for me.
Minka- SPRING!! I love all the pretty colors and the mud and the rain and the smell of flowers and…
My favorite is fall. I guess I just like the coziness of the season.
Have a nice day,
Penny Ling

"'I made a living out of being physically big, strong and mentally tough,' says Olympian Iwan Thomas. 'But in reality I was falling apart inside. I couldn’t see a way out of the self-hatred and self-loathing.'
"In 1997, at just 23, Welsh sprinter Iwan broke the UK 400m record with a time of 44.36 seconds, remaining unbeaten until 2022. He had the world at his feet but a series of setbacks and injuries dogged his career and led him to dark places. Now an advocate for talking openly about mental health, he wants to help others.
"Iwan, 50, says: 'Breaking that record, everything happened really quickly for me but also everything was taken away quickly. All sorts were coming my way, a Madame Tussauds’ waxwork, MBE, accolades left right and centre. I thought, this is cool, I’ll have years left in me yet.'
"The reality was that that was as good as it was ever going to get. It then started to unravel and injuries set in. I was at a low place, it was horrible. I felt if I suddenly spoke out that I was struggling it would be, your rivals are now going to think you are not as tough as you say you are and won’t fear you on the track. I couldn’t really show that side of me, the soft side.
...
"Eventually, in 2011, he went for counselling. 'I went for about a year. I felt I wasn’t really getting anywhere. I remember the counsellor saying, ‘One day it will click. Everything we spoke about will make sense to you’. And it did – about six months after going.'
"Another turning point for him was meeting Prince Harry at an event with mental health charity Heads Together in 2016. 'It was the weirdest thing. I was there flipping burgers with Prince Harry. I hadn’t ever really spoken about depression or dark times. I suddenly just opened up to him. It was very bizarre but because he was a stranger I felt I could talk to him. He’s been through so much himself, it was easy to talk to him. It opened that tin and allowed me to talk to other people.'"

Kenan Thompson Appreciation Post
After watching the SNL 50th Anniversary Special, it warms my millennial heart so much to see Kenan Thompson still doing his thing and making people laugh. From having one of the most iconic hockey slap shots in pop culture history to memorable characters on “All that”, to having 4 seasons co-hosting his own sitcom show, and being the longest tenured cast member in SNL history. He’s done it all.
I may not watch every episode of SNL but I can’t help but smile when I see him on screen.

BIOGRAPHY:
Kit was born in a very interesting household. Living at her grandmother’s, but the tiny house being filled with 2 sets of aunts and uncles, a handful of little cousins, a couple cousins her age, and her own parents - there was never such a thing as quiet. Though, she never truly minded that. From helping babysit her cousins, to getting into trouble with other cousins she saw as best friends - the girl found her place in the family rather quickly. One thing she did mind was the lack of privacy. When things got to be a bit too much, she would stow away in her room with her music blasted so loud her grandmother would yell at her to turn it down. Would she? Well, no. In fact, once she would hear the yelling, the music would just be cranked up even more. She was 10 when she got a beginner guitar for Christmas. It was a special gift from her grandfather before his passing a couple weeks later. She was no Taylor Swift, let’s be clear. Though, she was pretty good at coming up with melodies and could play some classic hits by ear. As she grew older, she added piano and the bass to her instrument roster. She also took improv classes in high school and was a part of the color guard. She wasn’t the best at school, but she was an A/B student in gen ed classes. It was enough to get her into community college, and that’s all she really cared about. Until, she met her best friends in high school. They created a band that no one took seriously. At first, Kit was the keyboardist, then she was the bassist, but ultimately she became a photographer and manager for the band. When Freshman year became Sophomore year, they were playing at homecoming and at house parties. By junior year, they were playing at the local venues and Warped Tour. Senior year was when they took off thanks to TikTok. Senior year was also the year her mother came clean about the man she had always known to be her dad, was actually not her father. This struck a cord in the young Kit and when the opportunity to go on tour came up again, she took it and ran. This time, she was attempting to figure out who she was whilst on the road. She stepped down as manager due to her mental health, but continued to be the photographer as well as a roadie for the band.
EXTRA-EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT HER!
With a deep fear of abandonment, Kit keeps people at arm's distance. Yet, she knows how to make someone feel as though they are one of her best friends. It's a superpower she's had ever since she was younger - she knows how to make people feel special. She keeps her circle fairly small, but she needs to be around people constantly or she gets plagued by loneliness. She's the most introverted extrovert you could ever meet - easily found cooped up in her apartment reading a good book when she has alone time. The life of every party, she cares more about the invitation than the actual event at hand. Though, when she shows up, she tends to have a group of people surrounding her as she talks about her odd adventures on the road. She's comedic to a default. Not really meaning to be, she utilizes humor as a way to defuse situations, change the topic, and mask trauma. Growing up going to more funerals than weddings, Kit is desensitized to a lot of dark topics which makes her have a little bit of a morbid streak from time to time and a twisted humor. Kit just overall, is not easily digestible and she has a long list of exes who will tell you just that. Due to her flighty nature, she tends to love someone but leave them and hit the road when things take a turn to becoming serious or when someone tries to get to know her on a deeper level. This is an spect of herself that she is aware of, but it's also a sense of protection in her eyes to keep her heart from any damage. She is a lover of baseball and hockey. Kit also loves to surf, skateboard, and throw some hoops. She was on the varsity soccer team in high school and would've continued off to college with it if it weren't for the band getting big. She is definitely a fun time, and an excellent wing woman.

Ok, first time watching Good Burger (1997) in our god forsaken year of 2024 because the only scene I knew from it was this
So I was morbidly curious about the sequel and....
It's pretty great, really funny, entertaining and aged gracefully except for a scene or two
(I don't need to touch the sequel to know Dan Schneider is not the manager anymore lol)
Now give this poor old man whatever he wants, he's had a rough day
It was a really pleasant surprise, my expectations were very low, they were met and so much more, would 100% see this again
#Good Burger#Good Burger 1997#Kenan and Kel#Nickelodeon#[redacted]#if I were to have one complaint is Kenan's character didn't really resolve things with his love interest#as far as we know they're still in bad terms haha

MOVIES WITH MEN IN UNDERWEAR (This is outdated- website shutdown early 2000’s)
“G”
Galaxy Quest (1999) Sci-fi comedy. "Commander Peter Quincy Taggart" (Tim Allen) is at home, asleep on the couch, hungover and trouserless, when awestruck friendly aliens come to visit.
Garp A locker room scene with several unidentified actors in jocks.
Georgy Girl Alan Bates in a couple of shots in his Jockey briefs.
Gharwali Baharwali (1998) Indian musical comedy. An overweight, middle-aged manager ritually humiliated, being stripped, head-shaved and left as a beggar in his underwear (white undershirt and big boxers).
Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) Crime drama. Ghost Dog robs a couple at gunpoint off-camera, and they emerge into the street, the woman in her skimpy bra and panties and the man in his boxers.
Ghostbusters (1984) I can't believe that there has been no mention of the first underwear scene in a movie that I ever came across. Ray Stanz (played by Dan Ackroyd) is having a dream in which this female ghost is hovering above his bed moments before she vanishes into thin air. He looks around, obviously perplexed, and then his belt gets undone; the button on his pants is next, instantaneously followed by the unzipping of his zipper and then, his pants are opened. Voila! White briefs.
Gig, The (1985) Drama. A charming film, and including some of the middle-aged leads in their underwear.
Gimme an 'F' (1984) One of the main characters strips down to his white briefs and dances around the shower room. He does this for quite a while and gets them very wet.
Girl 6 (1996) Comedy. Phone-sex caller, a slim, fortyish black man, acts out his baseball-hitter fantasy in a room painted up as a stadium, wearing a baseball helmet and a white jock strap.
Girls Are for Loving (1973) Crime movie. At some point, just about everybody ends up naked and bound in one way or another. One interesting scene: two evil henchman have been captured and bound nearly naked with their hands above their heads.
Glitz (1988) (TV) Action/thriller. An attacker fires at Jimmy Smits, who's in bed with Linda Moon at the time. Clad only in his briefs, Smits chases after the guy, out into the street.
Gloria (1999) Thriller. "About 20 minutes into the film (which doesn't compare to the original), there is a cool scene where Sharon Stone forces her criminal ex-boyfriend and his henchmen to strip naked at gunpoint. Rear nudity only, but very intense scene. Every guy seems to have on a different type of undies. I watched the video with my roommate and she couldn't stop laughing at the guy with the leopard print briefs".
Go (1999) Close-up shots of Scott Wolf in his briefs, being wired for sound with a hidden transmitter attached to his thigh. Also, another guy putting on his dark boxer shorts in a suggestive scene.
Gods and Monsters (1998) In one scene, Whale mischievously makes a flamboyant, young male reporter remove an article of clothing for every question that he answers (until the man's down to his underwear).
Gods Must Be Crazy, The (1980) Comedy. Startled by a warthog while taking off his wet clothes, guy flees pants-down in his red briefs.
Going Ape! (1981) Tony Danza running around in a hospital gown and his briefs ... at end of movie.
Gold Rush Boys (XXX) ****my favorite*** This porn-vid is chock full of hot young "pioneer" men in union suits having fun in an all-male bordello. There are quite a few tender scenes (kissing, etc.) One gorgeous guy spends most of the movie falling out of his maroon union suit. Very sexy!! (Sorry I don’t know which studio made this - but I’m sure of the title.)
Gone Fishin' (1997) A witless comedy that at the very end has both Joe Pesci and Danny Glover caught with their pants around their ankles, showing their colorful boxer shorts.
Good Burger (1997) Mild, juvenile comedy. Disguised in drag to spy on a rival burger operation, the heroes are caught and unmasked - revealing the chubby one in his blue and white plaid boxer shorts, and the slim one embarrassed to be discovered in drag all the way down to women's underwear.
Good Man in Africa, A (1994) Colin Friels wears comic loud printed boxer shorts, as Diana Rigg sews his costume. Later, he must exchange every piece of clothing he has on with John Lithgow - even down to boxers and briefs being switched.
Good Will Hunting (1997) Drama. Matt Damon in white boxers in scene with Minnie Driver.
Goodbye Bird, The (1993) Chris Pettiet. His mother knocks on the the door...he gets up wearing only blue silk boxer shorts - you can see his pecker bouncing in his boxers.
Goodbye, Columbus (1969) Michael Meyers in boxer shorts, has a vapid conversation with Richard Benjamin. He is a fairly well-built jock with a rather empty mind.
GoodFellas (1990) Crime drama. Gangsters go to kill their oversleeping driver (Tony Sirico). Unsuspecting, in his yellow undershirt and briefs, he opens the door to them.
Gotcha! (1985) Anthony Edwards standing in Jockeys, briefly. Short scene but NICE.
Gotham (1988) (TV) Thriller. Two scenes with Tommie Lee Jones in a white A-shirt and white boxer shorts, one early in the movie when J.B. White wakes him up, and another later in the film while making love to Virginia Madsen.
Graduate, The (1967) A young preppy-looking Dustin Hoffman gets seduced by Mrs. Robinson, and winds up in bed with her in his white trim-cut boxer shorts.
Grandview, U.S.A. (1984) Drama. C. Thomas Howell spends the night with Jamie Lee Curtis. In the morning, he's awakened when the her boyfriend arrives ... in his trim plaid boxer shorts, he has to get to his pants on the other side of the room, but picks the wrong moment and is seen through the doorway. There is also a scene with Patrick Swayze in patterned boxers, and two scenes with Troy Donahue in printed boxers.
Grease ?
Great Balls of Fire! (1989) Dennis Quaid as Jerry Lee Lewis parades around this movie in loudly printed full-cut boxer shorts from time to time.
Great Santini, The (1979) Michael O’Keefe (most recently on Roseanne) plays a high school student who has Robert Duvall, military officer, for a father. Dad wakes O’Keefe up in the early morning of his 18th birthday to give him his present. O’Keefe is wearing nothing but white briefs.
Greedy (1994) Michael J. Fox in grey Calvins.
Green Mile, The (1999) Drama. Crazy death row inmate "Wild Bill" (Sam Rockwell) in a union suit.
Gremlins 2 (The New Batch) (1990) Mr. Clamps walks outta bathroom in his office in a pair of blue boxers, he then puts on a pair of pants (too bad).
Grim Prairie Tales (1990) Creepy short story compilation. In one segment, an old-west gunman is seen for a moment in his white undershirt and briefs.
Gross Anatomy (1989) Matthew Modine in bed in white briefs and maroon T-shirt.
Guarding Tess (1994) A minor Nicolas Cage movie with Shirley McLaine. Brief scene of Nick interrupted as he is sitting on the john taking a dump, with pants down and colored boxers very visible around his knees.
Guelwaar (1992) Drama. In an early scene at a police station, watch closely for two prisoners, stripped to their white briefs, crossing the scene in the background.
Guide for the Married Man, A (1967) Joey Bishop is caught with his pants down by his wife. Seen in his white full-cut boxers and with a pretty girl, Joey denies it all.
Guns of Navarone, The (1961) Classic WWII action. Scene of Germans officers being stripped for their uniforms.

Also, apparently this... Something that raises questions...
John Leguizamo apparently confirms a new ICE AGE movie is in the works...
That's merely a kernel of a possible announcement. It could all be moot, but... I do wanna talk about what the future of ICE AGE could be...
I wouldn't put it past Disney to barrel ahead with another ICE AGE movie, despite the fact that they shut down the studio that originated the franchise, Blue Sky Studios.
And suppose a new ICE AGE movie comes out a few years from now, as a 20th Century Studios Animation film WITHOUT any Blue Sky logo or mention, because they no longer exist as a studio... Well, that'll certainly sting, for sure.
Interestingly though, ICE AGE did not begin life at Blue Sky. It was originally going to be a 2D animated film that Don Bluth and Gary Goldman would've been involved with, and it was going to be made at the long-defunct Fox Animation Studios. The studio where Bluth and Goldman made ANASTASIA and TITAN A.E in 1997 and 2000 respectively. The latter feature's flopping put the nail in the Fox Animation Studios coffin by the end of 2000, but before that movie came out, ICE AGE was shifted over to Blue Sky once 20th Century Fox acquired them. So, if we do see an ICE AGE 6, it'll certainly suck remembering what Disney did to Blue Sky, but at the same time I understand that ICE AGE could continue either way with or without the studio where the first movie was made. Sad animation facts-of-life things, you know?
When Disney acquired Blue Sky as part of the Fox package from the Murdochs, it was made clear that Iger and all of them saw potential in future ICE AGE and RIO stuff. RIO's the only other Blue Sky picture to have gotten a sequel. HORTON HEARS A WHO!, EPIC, FERDINAND, etc. didn't. THE PEANUTS MOVIE curiously has a sequel happening at WildBrain, but that's because... It's PEANUTS. I just find it neat that the new PEANUTS movie coming out is using the same style and look of THE PEANUTS MOVIE, so it's basically the sequel to that. Albeit, from another studio. Some of the same crew involved.
That BUCK WILD thing will probably be brought up, but I always saw that as what it is: Some direct-to-video/TV caliber thing like RETURN OF JAFAR. It was first envisioned as a TV series anyways, and Blue Sky had no involvement. Blue Sky's final ICE AGE media was that fun little series SCRAT TALES, that was on Disney+. A fitting send-off to a pioneering studio that did not need to be shut down.
The spirit of Blue Sky, I feel, lives on in Annapurna Animation, who got Blue Sky's NIMONA - which was deep in the works when Disney pulled the plug on Blue Sky - and got it to the finish line. ICE AGE and RIO director Chris Wedge, among other notables, are at Annapurna right now working on some neat-sounding stuff.
But no, Disney likes money, many of the ICE AGE movies are among the highest-grossing animated movies. DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS and CONTINENTAL DRIFT each made over $870m worldwide. COLLISION COURSE saw something of a good-sized dip in 2016 ($408m worldwide, half of what the last two took in), suggesting that maybe the juice was running low... But, ICE AGE is now a 22-year-old movie, soon to be 23 in March 2025... Enough time has supposed, Disney probably could ride the sorta SHREK 5 approach with nostalgic late '90s/early '00s kids who grew up on the ICE AGE movies. Boom, instant big buckeroos.
And who would make it? Well, it'd be a 20th Century Studios release I reckon, with animation services provided by like a DNEG-type studio (they finished NIMONA for Annapurna). I doubt they'd have Disney Animation do it, ditto Pixar.
The only animated 20th Century Studios movies that went to theaters, post-Disney buyout, were pictures that were already in the works prior to that... RON'S GONE WRONG, THE BOB'S BURGERS MOVIE. All waylaid by COVID, no less. What else? Nothing, and nothing on the horizon, either.
With Blue Sky's shutdown in February 2021 also came the kibosh of everything they and 20th Century Fox Animation had lined up. Disney also jettisoned their deal with Locksmith, the studio that did RON'S GONE WRONG (which DNEG also provided animation services for), sooo their future pics are either with Netflix (the upcoming THAT CHRISTMAS) or Warner Bros. (BAD FAIRIES, THE LUNAR CHRONICLES, et al.)
The only post-2019 animated features to come out of 20th Century were Disney+ titles, those DIARY OF A WIMPY KID movies, the BUCK WILD thing, and the animated NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM pic. Since Disney has always had Disney Animation and Pixar, and not only shut down Blue Sky, but also Disneytoon Studios back in mid-2018, it just seems like they're not interested in having a third animation studio. But I can see occasional animated movies coming out of 20th Century Studios every now and then, but only if they're from a well-established franchise.
ICE AGE, obviously, is that. So is RIO. And of course a second SIMPSONS movie is inevitable, probably a FAMILY GUY movie at some point. But that's about it... So, if ICE AGE 6 even happens... I suppose that's how it'll happen.
I find it funny how this all came up... A few days after someone did fanart of the original ICE AGE, with the three friends reuniting with the human baby all grown up... Legacy sequels are a big deal now, sooooo... Uhhhh, maybe that could happen? I don't know lol.
Also funnily enough, to go off on a tangent... I've been listening to this song lately...
youtube
You might be thinking... What does that have to do with ICE AGE?
That song above is by a group called Rusted Root, off of their first album - CRUEL SUN, released in 1992. CRUEL SUN also had a song on it called 'Send Me On My Way', which Rusted Root remade in 1994 for their album WHEN I WOKE. That version of the song is the one that became a hit single, and the very version that you hear in the mid-movie montage in the first ICE AGE... An iconic folky worldly-sounding '90s song... and ICE AGE was where I - at age 9 1/2 - first heard it...
youtube
I just thought that was kind of a fun coincidence, really.
That was THE era of putting pop songs like that into animated movies, or having the hired musicians write songs like that in lieu of theatre-style musical numbers (think Randy Newman on the TOY STORY movies). ICE AGE used 'Send Me On My Way' in the same way the SHREK soundtrack used its more eccentric song choices, the year prior. And by the end of the 2000s, it became a real norm for these kinds of films... Needledrops, as the cool folk say...

Whitlams? Whitlams!
Interesting venue. Kind of kitsch in a fun way. Food was very overpriced for what it was (the vegan version of the falafel burger was… a falafel patty smeared in hommus and wrapped in lettuce) and my disabled ass did not realise it was a standing venue only, so the barstool I had dragged in to the back of the room meant that while I could at least sit, I couldn't see shit.
Eh. I've seen them a bunch, and it's the sound that's the most important part <3
Early stuff featured Scott Owen from The Living End on the double bass. Gotta have the double bass for stuff from the first two albums, y'know? Setlist as below, there was a lot of singing along in general, but will mark with an asterisk for the ones that were genuinely singalong territory because that was just fun:
Gough *
End Of Your World
Where Is She?
Met My Match
1995
Winter Lovin'
The Ballad Of Lester Walker
Following My Own Tracks *
I Make Hamburgers * ("MORE SAUCE!")
No Aphrodisiac *
Fall For You (introduced with, "Let's do something from this century!")
In The Last Life
Charlie No. 2 * (singalong here was very sweet, I think Tim toned down his own mic to showcase the audience a bit more? Like it was almost the audience singing it with Tim accompanying)
Melbourne *
Charlie No. 3
Royal In The Afternoon *
I Will Not Go Quietly *
Laugh In Their Faces
Blow Up The Pokies
Up Against The Wall (an interesting note on the passage of time - when it came out in 1997, it had the lyric, "She was one in a million / so there's five more just in New South Wales." There are now eight million people in NSW!)
I Get High (with Jak performing Stevie's parts)
Happy Days
You Sound Like Louis Burdett * (extremely enthusiastic!! Definitely not alone in this being my favourite!)
Then, for the encore:
You Don't Even Know My Name
I'm Different
Thank You *
Album count: Introducing (6), Undeniably (7), Eternal Nightcap (7), Love This City (2), Torch The Moon (3), none from Little Cloud, Sancho (1). So very heavily from the first three albums, aside from Thank You and Blow Up The Pokies, Fall For You, I Will Not Go Quietly, and Royal in the Afternoon, and In The Last Life.
Actually quite amusing looking at the different crowd demographics when you consider my last concert, which was… Måneskin. To be expected when one band has an average age of about 23 and the other has an average age of about 57, haha. I'm an oldie when it comes to Måneskin fans, but a lot of the crowd tonight were more like… youngish boomers, older millennials, but pretty solidly gen Xers who were teens and young adults for when those first three albums came out between 1993 and 1997. (The Måneskin members weren't even born yet!) I got into them a bit after the Love This City release when I was 13, so I was actually on the younger side.
There was a dude there wearing a black velvet shirt, bright blue corduroy flares, and a white belt. Fab outfit tbh.
Got a tour shirt. Expensive but it has my favourite lyrics from my favourite song on it (from Louis Burdett - "Banana chairs out on the concrete / telling stories to the stars"), and also they've been one of my favourite bands for... shit, coming up on twenty-five years now, and I still don't have any merch. I kinda had to.
So, really good, aside from the overpriced food and the whole 'can't see shit' part!
