Fun fact about these Sequence:

was planning to make it just black and white like those Ink brushes kind of style, I did have the draft version of it but my brother being a critic said that it looks weird and maybe actually coloring it was a good idea

Monkie Kid season 4 spoilers

Okay so in a good bunch of Shadowpeach/Lionpeach takes Azure Lion is often protrayed as having an obsessive crush on Wukong and try to get with him despite Wukong already being in a relationship with Macaque.

But in canon, despite the few dirty tricks he had pulled, Azure Lion is an well-intentioned antagonist with “antagonist with standarts” vibes who value very much his sworn brotherhoods, the one with Macaque included since the canon didn’t show any animosity between them.

So here’s the idea: Azure Lion had a crush on Wukong but had never tried to make a move on him ‘cause Wukong was already with Macaque and he doesn’t want to something like that to his sworn brothers.

Then S4 happened along with a possible amnesiac Sun Wukong scenario but Azure Lion, who is obsessed with things getting back just like they were in the past, want Sun Wukong to get his memory back, getting back with Macaque and that they sworn brotherhood came back just like before ‘cause in Azure Lion’s obsession with the past, things were perfect with their sworn brotherhood and Wukong being happy with them and by being with Macaque and Azure want those times back.

However one person profited from Wukong’s amnesia and this was Peng, who wanted to be a bro to Azure Lion and who didn’t liked Macaque anyway, he discretly made Wukong believe that Azure and him were a couple and when Azure noticed Wukong getting sweet and flirty with him he felt extremely conflicted, on one hand he felt happy that his old crush was becoming true but on the other hand he is thinking, freaking out like “Brother Wukong, what are you doing?Why are you acting like this? You’re supposed to be like this with Macaque not me!”. And when he found out this was Peng’s doing and Azure Lion is not happy with the bird at all.

Macaque on his part will not be happy at all when he will found out and will decided it was “lion and bird season time”.

Meanwhile, Yellow Tusk Elephant is just in the background, looking at the whole shit show and feeling tired of his sworn brothers’s BS.
