That one time Fire Emblem Lied to its players [Fire Emblem: Three Houses Analysis]
Tumblr media
Have a picture of Rhea, for no particular reason.
The Fire Emblem franchise is no stranger to games having multiple routes with various perspectives. FE Fates’ whole gimmick was about how Corrin’s view of the Hoshido & Nohr war changes depending on whom they chose to (potentially not) support; their Nohrian siblings, or/and the Hoshidans. And as a less-drastic example, Sacred Stones also has a choice midway through the story, in which picking Eirika or Ephraim as the main lord changes both the next few chapters and how the main antagonist is portrayed.
Meanwhile, even though Fire Emblem: Three Houses technically continued this tradition, unlike past games, it took the choice of making sure there would be no story branch with an unbiased view of the world, history, and events. As a result, we ended up with a game that, compared to previous entries, lies to its players.
Why Three Houses of all games got hit with this treatment? Well, that’s exactly what I’m set to show everyone here, so sit tight, and grab a drink and a snack or something, because to understand this, we first need to talk about Biased Storytelling.
What even IS Biased Storytelling?
In the context of Three Houses and this analysis, I refer to “biased storytelling” as the narrative technique in which the story’s perspective is so rooted in the chosen faction, that it impacts the perspective taken of its events.
Toshiyuki Kusakihara, Three Houses’ director, alludes to it in a 2020 Nintendo Interview, making clear this was a deliberate choice from his end:
Kusakihara: For me, I think games are a way to simulate a world and its story as if the player were experiencing it themselves. I’m personally the type of person that gets absolutely sucked into things like movies and games. I tried setting up a prank using how the game itself is structured: the player would go through the game once and really experience the world, then they’d talk about it with someone else and be like, “we played the same game right? Why are we talking about two different things?” I thought that it might be interesting where even if you picked the same house as somebody, your experience could differ from somebody else’s based on who you recruited. You might even say to yourself, “hey, I didn’t even see that scene!”
With just this decision, Three Houses became free to have each of its plots tackle whatever ideas it wanted. And with no golden/true route on sight, players became forced to make sense of everything themselves, pin-pointing every potential detail which could explain notorious divergences and similarities between narratives.
Accomplishing this does come with many challenges. Through understanding what the game does to make each story feel different though, one detail of its writing stands out:
It’s all about Perspective:
Tumblr media
3 nations. 3 future rulers. 4 perspectives.
Perspective is, simply put, Three Houses’ main bread and butter. In spite of heavily recycling its content whenever possible, it’s what ultimately makes each route feel different from one another. Silver Snow and Verdant Wind for example, might be infamous for sharing a good chunk of story beats and maps ‘til the near end, but neither of them feels the same in terms of themes and perspective as a result, more so with the titular supporting cast each story features.
To set up its various perspectives, the narrative did the following:
First, it had the story take place in a world with a vast history.
Second, it had a particular character (Byleth) act as an audience surrogate.
And third and most importantly, context on the world & events was provided by characters who have unique backgrounds and strategic roles in the setting. Most notably: Rhea; Edelgard; Dimitri; and Claude (there are also a few auxiliary ones like Sothis which do contribute to this cornucopia of POVs though), some of which are route exclusive.
I simply cannot stress how much Rhea and the House Leaders’ involvement in the plot colors things for players. One of the better examples where their differences are exposed in full is arguably Chapter 5: Tower of Black Winds.
As a brief recap: In it, Rhea assigns Byleth & their class the task of eliminating Miklan - disowned son of House Gautier - and his gang, who had recently stolen a Hero Relic.  Prior to the mission itself, Blue Lions and Golden Deer introduces the player supporting figures that played key roles in the chosen House Leader’s past: Rodrigue for Dimitri; and Judith for Claude (for those wondering, no equivalent exists for Edelgard in Black Eagles).
Then the Miklan mission happens and… Let’s just say people have thoughts about it:
Tumblr media
To break things down, in all routes:
Sothis is puzzled by the whole thing, and feels she has seen the demonics beasts before…
Meanwhile, Rhea believes Miklan deserved to get screwed over. After all, unlike Byleth, he was not chosen nor deemed worthy of wielding their crest and Hero Relic. Also, she tells Byleth to keep Miklan’s transformation a secret to prevent mass hysteria.
Meanwhile, the House Leaders - whom the player gets only in certain routes - are the ones who truly make things interesting:
Tumblr media
Even though both Edelgard and Dimitri agree that Crests shouldn’t hold so much importance, each one’s solution to the issue provides a clear image of how they see the world and how much they ideologically contrast one another, and their thoughts on Miklan’s predicament as well hint at their different backgrounds and past experiences. Then we have Claude, who by contrast is unfamiliar with Crests - not unlike Byleth* - and discloses nothing about his dream or, in other words, “his ideal world”, only confiding it’s something only connections and power can achieve.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is quite exactly where the heart of Three Houses’ deceit lies. More conventional stories wrestle with the fact they need to provide information about the world which must be accepted as fact, which is where the act of exposition comes in, usually from an ally or from some character well versed in the setting. Conversely, others like Three Houses blatantly lie to its players by simply having their characters provide exposition based on what they realistically know about the world they’re in, and how their backgrounds color the perception of the events witnessed. At best they provide a good guide for understanding things but taking them at face value does come with a few risk.
*As a bit of an aside though, I do wanna drive attention to how Claude assumes double duty in Three Houses’s story (and ONLY Three Houses) in a way no one else does. Unlike Rhea, Edelgard and Dimitri, whom are very much familiar with Fódlan’s idiosyncrasies (sometimes, far more than they’ll let you know), Claude’s own unfamiliarity with Fódlan means he ends up working in practice as a second audience surrogate, and thus has his story be the most “lore exploring” narrative of all given how much of a driving force Claude’s avarice for the truth is, his biases aside.
Varying Knowledge on Events.
Moving onwards, one of the risks caused by the characters having realistic human knowledge is that understanding and perception of events wildly changes depending on the character relaying the information. Chapter 5 was a good case of this already, but another solid example can be seen in what happens to the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus post-timeskip outside Crimson Flower.
For context’s sake: one way or another, Dimitri is unable to assume the throne due to the Faerghus Dukedom being established by Cornelia, Faerghus’ Court Mage, and isn’t seen again for a long while.
My vague recollection of said events was done deliberately, and I feel the evidence below speaks for itself:
Tumblr media
Both Seteth and Claude’s knowledge on Dimitri’s fate and how the Faerghus Dukedom came to be are very surface level. Meanwhile, Gilbert’s perspective is a lot more intimate, which fits since he was there when it all happened.
And on the note of characters being there when things happen-
Scenes (not!) shown to the Player
This one’s by far the most sneaky trick the writers pulled (and also more of a lie by omission than anything). I mean, If the player doesn’t choose the Black Eagles/Blue Lions/Golden Deer, it makes sense they’re not shown what Edelgard/Dimitri/Claude are up to respectively, yeah? But that comes with a consequence: the player misses scenes providing context for their actions and motivations.
Case in point: Dimitri’s whole vendetta against Edelgard. Outside of Blue Lions, Dimitri eventually develops an unhinged hatred against Edelgard, but the player is never shown its source. And all because the scene introducing this isn’t relevant to the story being told in those routes.
After Jeralt’s death in Chapter 9, in Black Eagles & Golden Deer, Alois visits Byleth in Jeralt’s room as they mourn their loss, giving the mercenary-turned-teacher some words of comfort. And in those routes, Edelgard and Claude get their own chance to do so in a early scene in Chapter 10 which is juxtaposed with TWSITD & the Flame Emperor having a villain moment™.
In Blue Lions however, Dimitri visits Byleth instead of Alois in Ch. 9. In turn, Byleth, instead of remaining mournful, does a walk at night the next day and finds Dimitri eavesdropping the whole conversation between TWSITD and Flame Emperor. This shows players what happens after the villain moment™ ends, and how Dimitri eavesdropping on it and getting the Flame Emperor’s dagger convinces him that Edelgard was the mastermind of the Tragedy of Duscur.
Tumblr media
Also the moment where everything goes to hell for Dimitri.
The way the Blue Lions' version of the scene was handled also raises interesting implications when considering the timeline of events. Not only does it suggest Dimitri eavesdropping that moment is canon to White Clouds, but also that it’s purely through slightly different circumstances that the story allows it to be shown to Byleth (and by proxy, the player). And this is not even the only case - Crimson Flower for example, implies the explanation Rhea gives to Seteth about what Byleth truly is - in her eyes, that is - always happens even when the titular surrogate isn’t present where it takes place.
When even the lore is biased.
Finally, I want to wrap this up with the most elaborate and confusion-inducing stunt the game pulls to the player: The War of Heroes.
The tl;dr, as far the Church/Rhea claims - per Part 1, White Clouds - goes as follows:
Goddess bestows blessings and weapons to humans to fight evil.
Humans defeat evil.
Humans misuse blessings and grow corrupt.
Goddess is sad and leaves.
The Goddess’ prophet arrives, makes miracles, creates the Church of Seiros, co-founds the Adrestian Empire with Wilhelm I, and gives other humans - along with other fellow saints - Crests.
The Adrestian Empire expands, and fights Nemesis’ forces.
The War of Heroes happens.
Nemesis is slain in the Tailtean Plains.
Goddesses’ weapons are retrieved as the Ten Elites fall, and their clans are assimilated into the Empire.
War ends sometime later.
As for what took place in reality? the game provides us 2 POVs from 2 different sources:
Tumblr media
Both perspectives share that the Church’s history records of the events were a textbook example of propaganda - yet also differ on one key area: the motive behind the war, which begs the question: What happened here?
Well, this is one of those things that I hinted that we would need to pierce ourselves as the game’s never upfront about it. Which means that, to make sense of everything, we have to take into account the evidence at hand the game gives us:
Rhea was there when the Tragedy of the Red Canyon happened, and knew her species was being killed and harvested for power by humans (which should not have known how to do what they did).
It’s well documented that Seiros and the Saints used their dragon forms against Nemesis’ forces in battle. Warrios: Three Hopes’ intro movie even shows a battle in which Seiros switches forms in the battlefield.
Wilhelm (The First) is the human that found Seiros after the slaughter and supported her fight with Nemesis. And as Edelgard’s claims, he did this knowing she was a dragon, and that her victory would subjugate humanity to her.
Part 1 is very unsubtle over how Rhea has a lot of secrets, to the point not even Seteth knows why she does things sometimes.
One of Abyss’ banned books heavily implies no one in Fódlan – sans a select few - know what a dragon is, when examining the bone composition of the Hero’s Relics…
Taking all evidence into account, it should be easy to grasp how Wilhelm the human, despite being one of Rhea’s biggest supporters versus Nemesis, ultimately ended up getting a completely different idea on the motives Rhea had for her whole crusade against the murderer of her kin. Understandably yet tragically so, all points out Rhea didn’t trust Wilhelm enough to tell him the truth of her cause, so she let him come up with his own conclusions. Conclusions, which later made their way into his descendants in secret, and eventually, to Edelgard.
But wait, what about the other faction involved in the war? Nemesis and co.? What was their take on the whole thing?
Well, we technically do know their POV, but it’s not openly discussed in the main story. Instead, it’s spread around in breadcrumbs in the game itself:
Tumblr media
In short, not only Nemesis’ most important men were ignorant of his most heinous acts (or perhaps, it would be more accurate to say they didn’t perceive them as heinous?), when Nemesis found out Seiros was publicly framing him as a good man turned bad that needed to be put down for the greater good - all to rally allies for Wilhelm’s Empire - Nemesis’ ensuing statement was something that could be very well summed as the following:
Tumblr media
Actually uncanny how this fits.
There are so many more examples that I want to bring out right now (both from Three Houses and Three Hopes), but I feel that by this point there’s not much left that hasn’t been said already. That is, other than the questions the whole Biased Storytelling stunt caused: Where does the truth lie when everyone is missing pieces of the puzzle? Can someone truly lie when they're unaware such missing pieces even exist? In a story, how canonical truly is the context not shown to the reader? Should one be allowed to know the circumstances of every important event in a story, even if it's irrelevant to the key narrative?

Elsbeth (1.06) Thoughts:
someone on Elsbeth sure thinks that “thanks, boomer” is current fkwoowowksjsjs
HELLO LESBIANISM!!!!!!!!! HELLO?!!!!!!
NILES FROM THE NANNY?????????
JAYCUB
I love the way that the show uses a lot of classical music. “Lacrimosa” for the murder is excellent.
Vanessa is absolutely serving.
The little nod Kaya and Elsbeth give each other!!
Elsbeth calling Vanessa stunning + all the compliments she gave to Jane Krakowski’s character. I know what you are, ma’am!!!
“Not gut feelings from women who wear polka dots over the age of fifteen.” FOUL FJSNDNS.
Elsbeth hastily shutting the laptop and then ensuing beat with Kaya… Kaya’s got her number.
God, I love that Elsbeth is nice, but that’s not the same thing as kind. When it comes to people underestimating or dismissing her—like the detective on this case—she’s willing to be cutting when she needs or wants to.
KAYA ON THE TABLE.
YOU CONSTRUCT INTIMATE RITUALS TO TOUCH THE SKIN OF OTHER WOMEN!!
FLEKFJJDDJ, the sequence of Elsbeth fidgeting in the waiting room. She is so endearing
“VIVA LA VIDA” ORCHESTRA!!
Vanessa’s wife is so pretty. Carolyn??
Their first date being a Coldplay concert lmao
Elsbeth’s ensemble in this sequence is stunning. The black jacket and the golden accents. The amber shirt with that bow. I’m so envious of her wardrobe
Holy SHIT, this consultation scene… Vanessa touching Elsbeth’s face… Elsbeth touching her spleen and leaning close to Vanessa. And then Vanessa touching her face again!!! That’s some chemistry right there.
It’s notable that Kaya doesn’t sell Elsbeth out to Wagner.
Niles from The Nanny again! I love him. I love his voice.
Lmao, elsbeth climbing through the Alice statue. That’s exactly what this character would do, and I love that Carrie + the writers know that.
Oooogh, Wagner possibly covering up sweatshops + Kaya following Elsbeth to the park.
Awwww, Elsbeth sneaking up behind Kaya was adorable.
Elsbeth trying to corner Wagner… and Wagner subtly threatening her… I’m really interested to see where this plot takes us in the future. I presume it’ll all come to head around finale time.
Lmao, I love how Coldplay is figuring into this plot
Elsbeth bodily moving Detective Edwards out of the way AKAKAKJSN
Vanessa and Elsbeth trying to power play with their teacups!!! This episode has made it clear 2 me that Elsbeth needs a recurring rival whom she has homoerotic tension w/
“She even took out the recycling, which she never, ever does.” Fkwkdjjwnsjs
“But they’re custom.” STONE COLD. AGHHHSHSHSA, I LOVE HER SM
Elsbeth immediately going to hug Carolyn is the kind of touch that makes her a stellar character.
KAYA AND ELSBETH MODGEPODGING TOGETHER!!!
OMG, KAYA CONFRONTING ELSBETH AND TELLING HER THE TRUTH. Elsbeth worried about Kaya being subpoenaed
“But I’m coming to you… my friend… instead.” 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Kaya is so visibly shaken by the revelation. The entire foundation on which she’s built her career might be a lie.
ELSBETH REACHING OUT FOR KAYA’S HAND!!!!!!!
Oh god, this is my favorite episode so far

hello! I saw we are talking about kq and their rushed schedule for ateez and well if that isn't something I always want to rant (a bit) about. I have to admit though I've never been much into the lore. My first cb with them was fever pt 2, so I can't comment on things before then, but somehow it felt to me like they were putting quality over quantity then? ESPECIALLY compared to the work/golden hour 1 cb. I'm sorry but that was so rushed and kinda generic, the concept pics had nothing to do with the mv, the mv was fun but extremely random after the vibe the concept pics set, the outfits were generic, the background even more so, and why were there 27 pic per member. Fireworks had 1 pic per member per version (minus diary), and I'm biased bc it was my first cb and arguably the best hwa concept pic ever to be released, but that had IMPACT. It felt like they had a vision and then that was more than "hot men in suits/slutty clothes". and then the promo shows, I don't think they recycled an outfit even once, and overall it just seemed like everything had a bit more time to breathe? Pretty sure salary lupin was on at the time, but not 5000 other things all ot once. Sure covid was still a thing then, but why do they need a tour, a Korean cb, a Japanese cb, some random collab, and god knows what other things all at the same time? that's too much for them, but also for us as fans. Sorry I really disliked the work comeback because of everything that wasn't the music or ateez themselves and I really fucking hope that was a one off thing, and didn't set the standard for future cbs
HI FIO! forgive me for the super late reply 😭 i actually read briefly your msg and decided that this topic required more attention bcs i did have a super serious, lengthy talk with an atiny bff abt atz's creative direction lately and we shared the same idea. i just dont want to respond to your rant halfheartedly, thus.
And with the sneak peek of the next cb, I HIGHKEY THINK your little rant, just, hits too close to home 😔
OKAY, WHEW this gon be long. personally, what you felt about work cb (and the chilling, ominous vision of the future cbs' direction) is super valid. i feel the same thing too, except you're also very detail abt their outfits and concepts. sometimes i question myself if im being... too annoying about their music, esp work cb.
there's a reason i stop commenting [on their music] and it's bcs i don't want to appear... know-it-all, annoying, or other adjectives associated with these words. i got into the fandom just last year, i cant really say much, knowing im also not a certified music critic. but also i've been listening to them "blindly" since answer til halazia until i officially jumped in so, do i or do i not have the capacity to throw my opinion like this 😂
and even without looking at their visuals, to me, their music quality was already proven undoubtedly top notch, unique, quite ahead of their, well, competitors. had a little difficulty digesting the batshit futuristic instruments going behind their vocals at first (and the freaking remixes asksjkf) but overall, their songs always sound like they're crafted with heart and passion for the lore. for the journey. and im glad that they're not a headless worm going just anywhere with their music. or even worse, to achieve tiktok success. just like.... most artists... in the industry all over the world.
i think because i found them at the time i lost myself the most and their lore and storytelling have a certain goal to achieve. even if it's breaking the norms, even if you have to believe in yourself. i think i become so attached with the kids bcs of their bold music and even bolder message. you know,,, the psychological connection in this paragraph.
so, when they keep insisting that working during holidays are their choice, i just, sigh. knowing that a lot of fans would still defend them (esp twttiny bcs they always seem excited for the boys which is good but girlypops u dont have to gaslight urself if ur not liking it now). i dont even want to sugarcoat this anymore im worried that this is not a matter of "being genius creative tanks" but the need to be able to stay afloat in the trend, in the industry, cus theyre coming fr a relatively small company. and im really not sure how to feel abt that crying laughing rn. im worried theyre exhausted, not physically but their inspiration well.
i really wish they could engage in some other activity, or at least, brought wanteez back as the easy days. they dont have to be an all rounder really. just have fun in more original contents ig. not gonna touch the fashion weeks thingy cus im the least fashionable person in the clerb 😂
on the other side, foolish me to believe strongly and tell myself that kq would follow the lore, put the lore as the backbone of their creative direction for their music and expand from there. anything. music, short movies, random clips, visual diary, whatev. i didnt realize, they have the authority to bend the lore itself. like... what happened to, not sure, thunder, or halateez, in the latest diary log. if u felt that work was rushed, i agree. i am still confused til now tho i accepted that cb p well aljdlasjda
but yeah, i think i will stop expecting from now on and just listen. im too tired to analyze the lore, too tired to criticize and/or sugarcoat my opinion. if i like it, then i like it, if i don't then i don't. im open to discussion but i will definitely refrain from commenting. don't wanna spoil other people's fun ofc ofc. but this one we share fio, yeah i think i need to let out a little 😂 sorry this is getting a bit out of control fio. But like you said, hope that this is a one off thing too.
last but most importantly, i hope that you're doing great now, with whatever that's going on in your life. tis getting colder these days so take care, bestie 💚💚💚

Also, if you tip me on here or Ko-fi, at the end of the month I'll send you a link to all of the articles I found but didn't use each week - almost double the content! (I'm new to taking tips on here; if it doesn't show me your username or if you have DM's turned off, please send me a screenshot of your payment)
1. Millions Of Maggots Donated To Charity In Honour Of The Maggot King
Tumblr media
“[Blizzard Entertainment] donated millions of maggots to Tiggywinkles UK, a leading wildlife hospital, […] in honor of Duriel, the Maggot King, a notorious character in the Diablo series. […] This significant contribution is expected to feed the patients at Tiggywinkles for two years.”
2. New circuit boards can be repeatedly recycled
Tumblr media
“A team led by researchers at the University of Washington developed a new PCB that performs on par with traditional materials and can be recycled repeatedly with negligible material loss. Researchers used a solvent that transforms a type of vitrimer—a cutting-edge class of sustainable polymers—to a jelly-like substance without damaging it, allowing the solid components to be plucked out for reuse or recycling.”
3. How a Cloned Ferret Inspired a DNA Bank for Endangered Species
Tumblr media
“This black-footed ferret (Mustela nigripes) [is] the first endangered species in the U.S. to ever be successfully cloned […] from [a] cryogenically preserved cell line, obtained from a ferret named Willa, who lived in Wyoming in the 1980s. [… T]he FWS [is now] on a major project to cryogenically store tissue from every endangered species in the U.S., [… as] “an insurance policy against future loss of biodiversity in the wild.””
4. Maine Signs Trans And Abortion Sanctuary Bill Into Law, Despite Violent Threats
Tumblr media
“[The new law] states that criminal and civil actions against providers and patients are not enforceable if the provision or access to that care occurred within Maine’s borders, asserting jurisdiction over those matters. It bars cooperation with out-of-state subpoenas and arrest warrants for gender-affirming care and abortion that happen within the state.”
5. $70M for Fish Passage Projects Address Climate Resilience, Strengthen Local Economies
Tumblr media
“The Department of the Interior today announced more than $70 million […] that will improve fish passage around […] barriers fragmenting the nation’s rivers and streams [… as an] “investment to restore our nation’s rivers and streams, safeguard endangered fish species, protect Indigenous subsistence practices and provide communities with increased opportunities for outdoor recreation and economic growth,” said Secretary Deb Haaland.”
6. A Golden Age of Renewables Is Beginning, and California Is Leading the Way
Tumblr media
“California—the fifth-largest economy in the world—has experienced a record-breaking string of days in which the combined generation of wind, geothermal, hydroelectric and solar electricity has exceeded demand on the main electricity grid for anywhere from 15 minutes to 9.25 hours per day.”
7. Collaborative conservation efforts keep lake sturgeon off the endangered species list
Tumblr media
“The Service’s 12-month finding [that these sturgeon are not endangered] shows ongoing management efforts, such as fish stocking, have contributed to the conservation and resiliency of the species. “Today’s announcement shows the power of collaborative conservation and the impact it can have for species like the lake sturgeon,” said Midwest Regional Director Will Meeks.”
8. French municipalities bordering Luxembourg to offer free transport to commuters
“Luxembourg is the only country in the world to offer entirely free public transport. […S]ix French communities located near the border and many of whose residents work in Luxembourg have decided to band together and also offer a free shuttle for daily workers. […] Last year, governments in the two countries said they would work to increase train services to run every 10 minutes between Metz and Luxembourg City by 2030. There’s also a plan to extend Luxembourg City’s tram service to reach all the way to the border – a trip that would take only 30 minutes when ready.”
9. Solar is about to get a lot more affordable for low-income households
Tumblr media
“The EPA granted 49 state and territory awards totaling $5.5 billion, six tribal awards worth more than $500 million, and five multistate awards amounting to $1 billion. Comics this week?
Absolute Power #4 - Boring, half-assed ending to a boring, half-assed event. Waid probably played as best a game as possible with the hand he was dealt - keeping in mind that Snyder, King, and Taylor were all asked to write this event and none of them could crack it - but my judgement isn't softened by the circumstances. Waller sucked as a villain, the Amazos and Failsafe were boring, and this entire event felt like a dash to wipe the slate clean. Waid shamelessly recycles the same crap he’s been doing since Underworld Unleashed where people’s powers get swapped/buffed/changed. The Titans era as the premiere team ends in total failure, with Green Arrow all but breaking the fourth wall to tell the reader that the Titans suck ass, and will never be capable of replacing the League. Titans haters were utterly vindicated. That Waid of all people is the one who seals off the Multiverse and depowers Barry is a testament to how badly DC has handled both the Multiverse and legacies in recent years. Thank God Waller is off the board for the foreseeable future.
All-In Special - If AP was the wet fart ending to a flop era, this at least was promising. Yes "Darkseid energy" remains an idiotic concept, but at least reading this left me excited! Snyder and Williamson do their best attempt to channel Hickman's energy. They don't come close, but at least DC is finally trying to take notes from Hickman’s success rather than chase CoIE again. Williamson and Sampere tee'd up the JLU status quo for Waid in a satisfactory matter, I'm actually excited to see that play out after AP. I have so many questions regarding the Absolute Universe: is that the Absolute Legion? What happened to Skeets? What will happen to Booster? Absolute Superman appears to arrive on Earth as an adult, is that true? Wish we didn't have to wait another whole month for Absolute Superman because that book seems like it will be the one to directly tie into the Darkseid Meta plot.
I Know What You Did Last Crisis #1 - Picked this up for the Didio Nightwing issue and oh my God did it deliver. Meta story where Didio apologizes for absolutely nothing and says DC would be living in a golden age if they had let him kill Nightwing like he wanted. Laughed until my sides shook when Didio had Kon kill every Nightwing in the Multiverse. Nobody played the heel role like Didio did, gives the Nightwing fandom a collective middle finger one last time. Oh and it gave me some cute Kon/Cass moments which was nice. Rest of the anthology was mid, but Wielgosz turned in another banger Superman story with his Lex during Final Crisis short. Dude needs to get put on a Superman book pronto, everything he writes with the character is gold. They should give him Action instead of who they probably will.
My Adventures With Superman #5 - Another great issue. Pa Kent knowing the types of helicopters because of the history channel made me laugh. Thought he might have been a soldier like main continuity Pa but should've known better, that's not how this show rolls. Bloodsport is almost heroic. Man is nuts but he's willing to sacrifice himself to take out Superman and Amazo which is at least far more than someone like Lex or Deathstroke would do. Poor Amazo, I feel like he has to be a goner after the last issue but I almost wish he would stick around, I like his little brother dynamic with Superman. Sad it took me this long to realize Amazo is basically the Iron Giant. All the times I talked up Metallo as an anti-Iron Giant and here Campbell went and gave Supes a straightforward expy!

Glossary of some terms important to my series
Sefiros: The tree of life that birthed all existance. Formed from a golden seed planted in the waters of chaos long ago by the goddess Barbello, every fruit the tree bears creates a new starsphere.
Starsphere: A celestial sphere containing countless planets, systems, and even galaxies, but is never any more larger than 3 galaxies total. All the fruit containing the spheres are destined to eventually wither and die, and once that happens the starsphere falls into the waters of primordial chaos to be consumed by the tree of life's roots.
Cycle of Sefiros: The cycle of worlds that are born and then recycled. Within all worlds is a device known as the Zohar Relic, a highly advanced piece of technology being human comprehension that exists in all possible places and worlds at once and can only be accessed through very specific means. The Zohar Relic observes and records the records, feats, history, ideals, and stories of all living organisms. This data, this recording of all souls from all worlds, is known as the Aekashic Records. When a world dies and is consumed by the roots of the sefiros, ceasing to exist, the data stored in the Zohar persists past the starspheres expiration. This data is then recycled in the creation of future worlds and their stories determined by providence, so that's why there are many similar characters and stories across vastly different worlds billions of years apart. This phenomenon of repeated elements, similar yet different every time they're reused, is commonly known as "Eternal Reoccurrence" and the repeating concepts themselves known as "Memes."
Providence: Barbello's astral order: providence. It is an astral order so powerful that knowledge of it's existence is strictly forbidden among anyone but the Sage Trinity and the Via Familia, who are incarnations of celestials and therefore can comprehend the unspeakable knowledge without going insane. The Tzga Order also gained privy to this forbidden knowledge, but it is only shared among certain members in secret. According to the Unspeakable Book, knowledge of Astral Order: Providence is what drove the dark god Elzakalas mad and knowledge of the "truth of reality" directly caused all suffering in the multiverse to ever occur. There's a good reason why knowledge of what Astral Order: Providence really is is strictly forbidden.
Astral Order: A higher being's most powerful art. It is a special kind of art only usable by divine beings and unlike regular arts that either cause passive effects or are direct, active special attacks, Astral Orders are arts that effect the deepest foundation of reality and can alter all of existence on a massive scale. All Astral Orders must be approved by the goddess herself, and a divine being can only have access to one astral order ever in their entire immoral lives. Examples of Astral Orders include Barbello's Astral Order: Providence and Kairos' Astral Order: Save and Reload. One of the most important Astral Orders is Mekala's, Astral Order: Mechanical World which implements RPG mechanics into the foundation of how the world works. That's why every game in the series has some sort of RPG mechanic.
Via Familia: Barbello's family and friends incarnated into the lower domain as celestials.
Sage Trinity: A triad of celestial beings who watch over the world. They include Resolute Axler, keeper of memories, Archsage Stefalis, the omniversal scribe, and Executioner Verhaegen, reaper of lost souls.
Unspeakable Book: A grimoire containing forbidden knowledge guarded by Archsage Stafalis. It is the dark counterpart to the Chronicles of Chronicles. While the CoC tells of all things past, present, and future, the Unspeakable Book tells of things beyond reality that no mortal should ever have access to.
Barbello: The creator of the lower domain and the gardener of the tree of sefiros. Also referred to as "the angel" or "the goddess." Mekala is her daughter and Elzakalas her son. She is also known by the alias "KrimsonKatt." While divine and all powerful in the lower domain, she is just an ordinary human in the upper domain.

Holiday Special Candle Service! °❆⛄⋆.ೃ࿔🦌*:・❄️(SINCE KID GAVE MR 3 HIS XMAS GIFT HERE URS AS WELL)
Covered in oil and grease, Galdino pulls himself from under the boat’s engine. His glasses aren’t needed for the wax coating he’s been doing. So his gold frames are kept in pristine state over the table, the same that has a blueprint spread over. A magnifically designed machine; as he clearly consults it to check which next step he would be taking.
Only him and his captain remained there as it seems both had taken the effort into their hyperfocus for the week. That was a great opportunity.
“ Mr Eustass. ” Galdino raises a hand. “ Remember your missing goggles that you were searching for last week, ga ne. The thing is… I stole—BUT WAIT GA NE WAIT GA NE LET ME EXPLAIN ” “ —YAAAAAAAA LET ME EXPLAIN! You see! That must have accompanied you many adventures and the sweat and seawater had taken a toll on the leather. The golden pins were dusty, the frames were held by a threat! ” He raises a well adorned box, opening it already while trembling and showing his gift. “ I changed the leather and polished the golden parts and changed the lenses for ones with armored glass. As the treasurer of this ship it's my duty to use our funds to keep everything pristine!  Worthy of the future pirate king, ga ne '' Sweating, but keeping up with a nervous smile. He offered the gift to him. “ Me—Merry Christmas! Mr Eustass! I.. I promise I will ask permission next time. It just… I wanted it to be a surpriseeee. ”

Growing up in an environment in which theft was a daily concern had a permanent effect on Kid's relationship with his material possessions. In his past, there was a constant threat of being the victim of thievery — returning to his shack or home base at the end of the day only to find it completely ransacked and looted of all his collected goods was a scene he experienced far too frequently. As a result, he actively tried, to an extent, to disconnect himself to the things he owned. He built what he had out of trash and recycled garbage, as it would inevitably break, be destroyed, or it would be stolen. Nothing lasted forever on that cursed island. He could not afford to be sentimental towards something that could so easily be taken from him.
Things began to change when he finally sailed from those treacherous waters. Though he continued to make things from scrap, he also learned to appreciate the thrill of being able to acquire expensive and luxurious goods, and keep them for himself. No longer quite so afraid of having his belongings stolen, he couldn't help but be occasionally drawn to grandeur; to items which were worth more than he ever could have fathomed in his youth. He was a pirate, after all; it was inevitable he would become partial to some of the things he owned, even if he didn't intend for it to happen.
The goggles in question, however, were not considered a rarity in terms of monetary value. They would not fetch a considerable price if presented to any dealer of lavish and extravagant goods. They had been a present when he was a teenager, gifted to him just a few years before he finally acquired his title as a Captain. They weren't new when he received them; found in a trash heap somewhere, already slightly tattered and worn to begin with.
She could have traded them. She could have traded them and somebody would have offered her enough food for a few days in exchange, even in their subpar condition. But she hadn't. She had kept them for him, despite being hungry, despite being exhausted from stifling through mounds of junk for hours in the hunt for something that could be bartered for a filling meal. She had kept them for him, because New Year's Day had just passed less than a week before, and she knew he would like them as a special Birthday gift. They were one of the lasts gifts Victoria could afford to give to him before her death.
Eustass Kid did not enjoy feeling sentimentality towards his worldly possessions when it would be so easy for them to be destroyed, or stolen, or for their potential damage to used against him as a threat. But all the same, he couldn't help feeling something for a specific few. Victoria had found them for him, and they inevitably became his favorite pair of goggles. The glass in the eye pieces had become frosted over time and he could barely see out of them, but he still wore them over his head all the same, because replacing them would feel like putting something to rest when it was his duty to keep it alive and warm.
When he believed he had lost them, he had tried not to reveal his upset to nakama. He had searched relentlessly; every area of the Victoria Punk he was inclined to visit, he had militantly paced around in an attempt of catching a glimpse of blue-tinted glass under the glow of candle flame. Though his efforts were fruitless, he did not wish to request any aid in looking for them, and have them privy to his disappointment should they fail to appear. There was nowhere they would look that he had not already searched, after all. All it would serve to do was inform them that he was despondent they were missing. The only choice he had was to accept that they were temporarily absent, and hold on to the belief that they had not gone far and would eventually be returned to him. They had to be on the ship; he could distinctly recall wearing them the night before their mysterious disappearance. They were misplaced, he assured himself, but that was not the same as them being completely irretrievable.
Perhaps he should have suspected Galdino sooner; he was likely the only one ballsy enough to try a stunt like swiping something from his own Captain. Eustass Kid was not at all partial to things being kept secret from him, nor was he a fan of any surprises that put him in a temporary state of distress — something that his crew members were perfectly aware of, and generally respected.
He holds the newly returned goggles in his right hand, allowing the skin of his thumb to trace the texture of the fresh, clean leather. He presses down on the rivets adorning the strap, causing a small, circular indent in his thumb pad. In a way that is comparable to a child who anxiously tests the quality of a security blanket after it has been washed to make sure it is still the same, he has to make sure nothing has been changed in a way that doesn't resonate with him.
The repair job is excellent. Each little piece has been meticulously cleaned of grime and rust, with only the completely deteriorated parts needing to be replaced. It's clear Galdino has dedicated a significant amount of time and effort towards keeping the goggles as pristine as possible.
After a long silence, Kid completes his inspection, and draws the item to his forehead, returning it to its usual position. There is a flooding sense of relief to have it back, though he will not out himself to Galdino by confessing this. Instead, he nods at him, a silent sign of approval, of his gratitude.
Kid is a man of few words. He cannot verbalize his appreciation directly, even though it sits just below his ribcage. He is soothed by the awareness that not only are they safely returned, but now he no longer has to fear the prospect of them falling apart in his hands due to being weakened by repetitive wear.
Finally, he speaks; collected, while the wax artist nervously whimpers his fretful apology.
Tumblr media
❝ Galdino, ❞ Perhaps this is the first time he has addressed him by his name rather than his notably condescending nickname, yet the word moves from his painted lips as if it were commonplace.      ❝ Consider this yer promotion. Yer being appointed as my new errand boy. Ya can let Bubblegum know yer gonna be takin' over from him from now on. Yer bein' wasted on just managin' the gold and that. Think ye'd do better handlin' all the jobs that I don't trust anybody else doin'. ❞
A broad hand is placed directly on top of the other man's shoulder, then. Not the shoulder that he had somehow injured fairly recently, of course; the shoulder that still remains unbroken. Kid's grip tightens in a signal of companionship.
He smiles, then; his copper eyes glinting to reflect his expression of rare conviviality.
Tumblr media
❝ Think we're gonna be spendin' a lot more time together from now on, aye? ❞

Sowwy 4 the threat I pushed my enter key on accident </3
strangling you tell me about the crown chap four has me intrigued 👁️👁️
HELP THEYRE STRANGLING ME AND (the crowd boos my shameless recycling of a joke I literally just made 2 seconds ago)
Anyways uhhh I don’t wanna spoil anything that might be relevant later, so I’ll just elaborate on some stuff I already touched on in the fic.
The Master Crown is(or rather, was at one point) among the same class of magic beings/objects as Galaxia and the Triple Star. Golden items enchanted and then directly imbued with a soul, thus granting said soul immortality and the object itself immense power. Normally, these beings would all channel soul magic and allow their chosen/worthy wielder to use it through them, and in fact that is what Meta Knight is doing when he uses the abilities he gets after defeating enough enemies; do with this knowledge what you will. This renders them incredibly powerful, and as such they tend to be very, very picky about who gets to use them. Some will even just straight up kill those they deem unworthy, as it doesn’t hurt them to supplement their own power. Galaxia and the Triple Star thankfully aren’t like that. As was already said, in the Crown’s case, being turned into one of these beings was done as punishment rather than to honor them. Unfortunately beyond the cool symbolism of it all, the whole thing really was not thought out well; part of what makes these artifacts so powerful is the fact that their power can grow practically infinitely without a mortal body to act as a sort of cap.
Due to the circumstances of its creation and the form it was given, the Crown really doesn’t care who exactly wears it at any given time, as it plans to eventually overpower and use whoever it can in its hunger for power anyways. Maybe it’ll keep a particularly strong host for a while and pull some strings to make things better for itself in the future— sow conflict and confusion here, kill someone who seems suspicious of it there, make sure it stays relevant as an artifact once it devours this latest soul— but ultimately, nobody it possesses is seen as any permanent part of the picture. At most it will see someone like how it saw Magolor, a body for itself that it may use to manifest physically instead of being trapped inside the crown. Someone powerful but not fit to be warped into its physical manifestation could end up as more of a pawn, allowed to use its strength and do what they want while simultaneously doing its bidding as well, only to be assimilated by force once whatever it sought to accomplish through them is complete. Were it to be discovered by someone weak or not magically inclined, it’d just drain them and wait for a better host; no point in giving power to someone who’d probably die from the strain of trying to use it anyways. It doesn’t value life whatsoever outside how it may be used for its own gain.
In that regard, it acts much more like a cursed sword than the actual technically cursed sword, in that it steals the power of others for itself rather than (conditionally)empowering someone else. Similarly, it’s not like the others who only channel soul magic without disrupting the cycle of death and rebirth— it just straight up consumes actual souls. (Morpho Knight despises it but couldn’t interfere due to their position as the Reaper; as you can imagine this did not instill positive emotions in the butterfly) In a sense this means it is no longer just one being, but more of an amalgamation headed by the original soul. That is why I write it as having a sort of cacophonous voice that sounds like multiple people talking at once with one standing out over the rest, that’s pretty much what’s happening. The original soul that became filled with greed and darkness ensnared others, took their strength, used that added power to more easily overpower even more souls, in a cycle that would have been near perpetual were it not for Landia(resistant to its influence due to how their soul and mind(s) work) and Kirby. And Magolor too, of course, though by the time he could really fight back(he’d tried before becoming Magolor Soul, but it was too late) the Master was already struggling to keep it together.
Now, is it still around in some form, or gone for good? Who knows! (I do and I’m not telling you)

OC time!!
i have recently recycled these babies so they’re not like,, fully fleshed out lol but I wanna talk abt em anyways!! A lot of this is going to be chalk full of spoilers for my rewrite if I ever get around to actually writing it, so be warned!! they’re mostly small details tho so it’s not too huge but still
@the-tismification-of-aaron-lycan
Della:
phys desciption: human, avg height, curvy and muscular hourglass build, moroccan, curly blonde hair (always covered by a hijab, her favorite of which is golden rod yellow), brown eyes, late teens/early 20s, her “signature color” is rust orange
Juror during Zane’s tenure, one of the only jurors not handpicked by Zane, although he did obviously have a say in her getting the position. She doesn’t have a confirmed jury title yet, but her temp title is Crystal Vision
Magics user with the ability to see into the future. due to her age + other factors her ability to control said magics is somewhat limited; she has very little control over how far forward she sees and visions tend to come to her at random rather than her intentionally making them happen (not to say that she can’t induce visions). she also tends to accidentally induce visions when she becomes stressed or overwhelmed
the magics came mostly naturally, more of a gift, and now that she’s reached a point in her practice where she actually needs to work at it she’s at a loss. on the path to magical gifted kid burnout
she has very little family and no friends from childhood, growing up with only her mother. They lived in a smaller, very religious town not far from Okhasis, and as such she grew up deeply religious
By nature she is very kind and compassionate albeit timid. However the rarity of her magic garnered a lot of negative attention, and a lot of people tried to find ways to use her for it, often through cruel means. As such, she has become anxious and paranoid
in terms of trying to use her the Jury/Okhasis is no different, something she didn’t realize until it was too late. She hates being in the Jury, but is too afraid of what might happen to her and/or her mother if she tries to leave
her story ends during the 15yr timeskip, when she is tried and executed for treason on account of not being able to predict/prevent Zane’s disappearance.
Elliott:
phys description: werewolf, tall, somewhat lean but sturdy inverted triangle build, central european, messy dark brown hair, black eyes, mid 30s, his “signature color” is eggplant purple
Corinne’s husband and Lia’s father
Juror during Zane’s tenure, recruited thanks to the interference of his wife Corinne. He has no particularly strong feelings about Zane, the Jury, or any of their questionable morals; for him it’s really just a job. His Jury Title is Wolf’s Bane
He doesn’t use any weapons, in human form or wolf, but Corinne does provide various potions and elixirs to boost his attacks, which he often takes advantage of in the form of poison-tipped claws
He’s been essentially disowned by his family after he was turned, and he has learned to “accept it” (*cough* repress it *cough*). Even if they refuse to associate with him, he has a mother, father, and three younger brothers. He originally hails from a very small farming-central village in the south of Ru’an, went on the run for years after being turned before meeting Corinne in Okhasis, where he settled.
He’s very cocky and self-assured by nature, definitely kind of an asshole. All the trauma of being turned and disowned left him bitter and angry, traits he has to this day. He doesn’t have a whole bunch of positive qualities lol
He does love his wife wholeheartedly though, as well as his daughter. Everything he does he does with his family in mind. He wants to be better to them than his family was for him, and often that ends up with him stubbornly believing everything he does is right (bc he’s doing it for them and if they argue then they’re ungrateful etc yall know how this goes)
his story ends during the 15yr timeskip; he gets killed in the line of battle during the war with Tu’la, loyal to his nation and family til the very end
Corinne:
phys description: witch, avg height, curvy pear-shaped build, vietnamese, straight dark orange hair, brown eyes, early 30s, her “signature color” is wine red
Elliott’s wife and Lia’s mother
Not a juror, but very closely connected to Zane, the Jury, and other Okhasian nobility through her husband’s juror status, something she enjoys taking advantage of
she is native to Okhasis, coming from a semi-noble family, not super high in the politics chain but well above the average citizen
Her dream was to be one of the “top dogs” in Okhasis, if not the entirety of Ru’an. She got this from her mother who had a similar goal.
Marrying Elliott was something more akin to an investment for her; she saw that he had potential and pushed him to reach for something greater (the jury), ultimately raising her own status drastically
She is incredibly selfish and vain, caring for no one but herself. She gets away with it by being manipulatively charming
During the timeskip very little changed in terms of her goals. at some point she figured Tu’la was likely going to take over, she abandoned everything and swapped sides, working her way up in Tu’lan society. She is currently remarried to a well respected Tu’an general
Cordelia/Lia:
phys description: werewolf, tall but not as tall as her father, lean rectangular build, mixed (european/vietnamese), curly dark orange hair, brown/black eyes, 7(s1), 22 post timeskip, her “signature color” is rose pink as a child and dusty rose as an adult
Daughter of Elliott and Corinne
Her parents were deeply involved in the Jury and Okhasis politics and struggled to give her the attention she needed; as a result, she was never very close to them (plus a million other mental health issue lmao)
Feels responsible for her parent’s wrongdoings despite not having a hand in any of it. As an adult she chooses to travel the world and right her parent’s wrongs wherever she can
Her father dies and her mother abandoned her shortly after the war started. She learned to fight and survive, barely escaping Okhasis in hner early teens alongside many other orphaned and abandoned children that she helped along her way
She’s about the same age as Abby; they weren’t close as children due to their parents not getting along, but their paths cross again in adulthood and they briefly become travel companions. They’re still not close, but they’re not enemies, so she counts it as a win
She actually has an awful crush on Abby in adulthood, but it isn’t reciprocated (yet?)
After parting ways with Abby she finds Mikai, and begins working with him and helping Tu’la refugees
Violetta:
phys description: human/mage, fairly short, chubby build, chilean, curly black hair, violet eyes, mid 20s, her “signature color” is violet (go figure lol)
something of a bounty hunter, willing to do increasingly awful things if given enough money
One of her earliest assignments was to murder Zane. She ended up failing, and was given a new assignment by him in exchange for her life (to remove a certain juror from the equation). She now is offering unofficial aid to Tu’la, who are using her to continue picking off uncooperative Ru’an nobility.
she specializes in magic that can bend light, creating optical illusions and more impressively turning things (and herself) invisible, a trick she utilizes for her job
she has a very laidback personality, very intelligent and sly but always keeping a very relaxed and often very charming demeanor
though she would never state it, she originally comes from falcon claw, her family relocating the the eastern edge of Ru’an shortly before falcon claw is decimated
Her family is nothing to write home about, both parents and her little brother are alive and well in eastern Ru’an. She’s on good terms with all three of them, but rarely visits and refuses to tell them what she does for work (she’s afraid of them reacting poorly)
she wholeheartedly believes the story about Aaron being responsible for the falcon claw massacre, and her desire for closure/revenge is partially why she become involved in bounty hunting. despite essentially dedicating her life to finding him, he has always managed to elude her, so much so she’s not even sure he’s alive
By the time of the timeskip she’s become more focused on her work + her own survival more than anything else, and no longer has that drive for vengeance

Backstory/Background:
Gideon is born as the only child of Crispin Murray, the second, and youngest child of the notable and wealthy family of Drakon Murray. Being the grandson of such a man it was to be expected of him to one day be part of the medical franchise the Murray’s had long been a part of. But, this would not be Gideon’s future. One day, not long after his birth, he would be stolen from his family. They would be unable to find the baby. But Gideon would be found in a desert, and then he would be sent to live in an orphanage.
At this orphanage Gideon would regularly be abused, beaten most of the time, earning many of his scars during these days. He would never get adopted out. As he grew older Gideon would also begin to act out. As a teenager he would start smoking weed and become more rebellious toward the staff at the orphanage. Because of this behavior, those at the orphanage would later accuse him of acting unstable. Ultimately getting him locked up in a psychiatric hospital. For some years after this Gideon would remain in this hospital.
As he had been kept prisoner he would later learn that he was, as many others in the hospital, being experimented on. His genetics would be spliced with many genetics of other creatures, seven other creatures, to be exact. Over these years Gideon and others would be taken advantage of. But one day, as his abilities finally are awakening, both those from his birth and the experiments, he manages to create and escape from the hospital. Taking the chance at freedom Gideon flees the hospital and enters a new world all together, as it has changed a lot since he was locked up.
Also he realizes that he is not only going to be hunted down and potentially returned to the hospital. But as he is trying to escape he learns that the entflee’s, only to find that the hospital is placed on an island. Going to the shore of the island Gideon searches it for a way out, knowing that he will soon be found if he doesn’t get off the island.
As he is searching the shore a man comes to him from the sea, he hands over a crystal staff and claims that it was always meant to be Gideon's. And that it is bound to him to wield. Making him one of those destined for one of the mythical legendary weapons that have been spoken about throughout history. Gideon is informed that with the staff he will help to protect the world. The being then goes on to tell him he has family. But before they can finish helping him, shots are fired in their direction and the being has left. Not having time to think about all of this, Gideon dives into the ocean, swimming from the shore of the island in hopes to remain free.
Later, washing up on the shore of a New York beach, Gideon wanders into a suburban area where he runs into a recruiter for a circus nearby, looking for freaks and other acts for their circus. He also learns more about the organizations that have been keeping him captive and had been experimenting on him. That they are part of the groups that are also currently fighting the war that is destroying the world. Gideon also comes across, after much pursuit, Raegan, the ringmaster of the circus that keeps bothering him to join them. After a talk with them he agrees to join their circus. There he begins to work and makes a life for himself among the other misfits in the area, finally having a place he feels like he fits in at.

The Best Brass Round Shower Arm to Elevate Your Bathroom Décor
Tumblr media
In the ever-evolving world of bathroom design, details matter more than ever. Every element contributes to creating a cohesive and stylish bathroom from luxurious tiles to exquisite fixtures. Among these elements, the humble shower arm has gained prominence for its role in enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. If you're aiming to elevate your bathroom décor, the best brass round shower arm is the perfect choice. Let’s delve into why this seemingly small fixture makes such a big impact.
Timeless Elegance with Brass
Brass has been a preferred material in home décor for centuries, and for good reason. Its warm, golden hue exudes a sense of timeless elegance that complements a wide range of styles—from classic to contemporary. A brass circular shower arm adds a sophisticated touch to your bathroom, instantly transforming it into a space that feels luxurious and inviting.
Unlike other materials, brass ages gracefully. Over time, it develops a natural patina that adds character and depth to the fixture. This quality ensures that your brass shower arm remains a stunning centerpiece for years.
Durability Meets Functionality
When choosing bathroom fixtures, durability is as important as aesthetics. Brass is renowned for its strength and resistance to corrosion, making it an ideal material for use in moist environments. A brass round shower arm is not only visually appealing but also highly functional, capable of withstanding daily wear and tear without losing its charm.
Its robust construction ensures that it remains securely mounted, providing a stable base for your showerhead. This durability is especially valuable in households with high water pressure, as brass can handle the strain without compromising its integrity.
Versatility in Design
One of the standout features of a brass round shower arm is its versatility. Available in various lengths and finishes, it can seamlessly integrate into any bathroom design. Whether you prefer a sleek polished finish or a more subdued brushed look, there’s a brass shower arm to suit your taste.
For those who enjoy vintage-inspired designs, a round-shaped brass shower fitting pairs beautifully with classic rainfall showerheads. On the other hand, if you lean toward a minimalist aesthetic, a shorter, more streamlined brass arm works perfectly with modern fixtures.
Easy Installation and Maintenance
Upgrading your bathroom décor doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Brass round shower arms are designed for easy installation, making them an excellent choice for DIY enthusiasts. Featuring standard fittings, they can be easily connected to existing plumbing, reducing the reliance on professional assistance.
Maintenance is equally hassle-free. Brass requires minimal upkeep to retain its shine and functionality. Cleaning it regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap typically maintains its pristine appearance. Steer clear of harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they may harm the finish.
Eco-Friendly Choice
In an era where sustainability is paramount, brass stands out as an eco-friendly material. It is highly recyclable, meaning that even if you decide to remodel your bathroom in the future, the brass fixtures can be repurposed or recycled without contributing to environmental waste.
Additionally, its robust durability guarantees a longer lifespan, minimizing the necessity for frequent replacements. By choosing a brass round shower arm, you’re making an environmentally conscious decision that aligns with modern values.
Creating a Cohesive Bathroom Design
The key to a well-designed bathroom lies in the harmony between its various elements. A brass round shower arm can act as a unifying feature, tying together other brass accents such as faucets, towel racks, and cabinet handles. This cohesive approach creates a visually appealing space that feels thoughtfully curated.
If you’re starting from scratch or undertaking a full renovation, consider incorporating complementary materials such as marble or natural stone to enhance the warmth and elegance of brass. For a modern twist, pair it with matte black or white finishes to create a striking contrast.
Affordable Luxury
While brass fixtures are often associated with high-end bathrooms, they are surprisingly accessible. The cost of a brass curved shower arm varies depending on factors such as brand, finish, and length. However, it’s possible to find options that fit within a range of budgets without compromising quality or style.
Investing in a brass shower arm is a cost-effective way to add a touch of luxury to your bathroom without the expense of a full-scale remodel. Its transformative effect on the overall aesthetic makes it worth every penny.
Choosing the Right Brass Round Shower Arm
When shopping for a brass rounded shower fixture, consider the following factors:
Length: Ensure the arm is long enough to position the showerhead at a comfortable height and angle.
Finish: Choose a finish that complements your existing fixtures and bathroom theme.
Compatibility: Verify that the shower arm is compatible with your plumbing and showerhead.
Quality: Opt for solid brass construction rather than brass-plated alternatives to ensure durability and longevity.
Final Thoughts
A brass round shower arm may seem like a small detail, but it holds the power to enhance your bathroom’s décor significantly. Its timeless elegance, durability, and versatility make it a worthwhile addition to any space. Whether aiming for a vintage-inspired retreat or a sleek modern sanctuary, this fixture offers the perfect blend of style and functionality.
Pairing it with the best brass health faucets further amplifies both practicality and aesthetic appeal, creating a cohesive design that seamlessly blends elegance and efficiency.
Elevate your bathroom design with the best brass round shower arm and experience the difference it makes in transforming your space into a haven of comfort and elegance. With its unmatched charm and enduring appeal, it’s an investment you’ll appreciate every day.

Reboot Mania: Is Hollywood Out of Ideas or Just Playing It Safe?
“Another reboot? Really?” If you’ve found yourself saying this while scrolling through trailers, you’re definitely not alone. It feels like every other movie hitting the screens these days is either a remake of a beloved classic, a sequel to a long-forgotten hit, or another “gritty reboot” of a story we’ve already watched. Hollywood, once celebrated for its trailblazing creativity, now seems to be stuck in a cycle of recycling nostalgia.
But is this trend purely about profits, or is there more to the story? From the triumphant return of Top Gun: Maverick to the underwhelming failure of The Mummy, the surge in reboots and remakes is reshaping the entertainment world. Are we experiencing a new golden era of reimagined storytelling, or is the film industry running out of fresh ideas?
Let’s explore the draw, the downsides, and the impact of this reboot revolution—and what it could mean for the future of cinema.
In the past few years, the entertainment industry has become increasingly dominated by reboots, remakes, and sequels, often prioritising well-known franchises over fresh, original narratives. Movies like The Lion King (2019), Ghostbusters (2021), Jurassic World (2015), and Top Gun: Maverick (2022) have tapped into audiences’ nostalgia, pulling in billions at the box office.
Recent box office trends reveal a notable pattern—franchise films and reboots often outperform standalone, original movies. Data suggests that over 70% of major studio releases in the past decade have been connected to established franchises, sequels, or reimagined classics. While these films consistently generate significant profits, they also prompt a crucial question: has Hollywood sacrificed creativity for the safety of predictable successes?
The enduring popularity of reboots and remakes lies in their dual appeal to studios and audiences. For production companies, these projects offer a lower-risk investment—familiar titles naturally attract viewers, making them a more reliable financial bet. Nostalgia, after all, is a compelling driver of consumer interest.
For audiences, revisiting beloved classics brings a sense of nostalgia and familiarity, whether it’s Simba’s revival in The Lion King or Maverick’s return in Top Gun: Maverick. Advances in filmmaking technology, such as state-of-the-art CGI, IMAX visuals, and immersive Dolby sound, also breathe new life into older stories. These enhancements create visually stunning experiences that resonate with both long-term fans and new viewers, making the blend of nostalgia and modern innovation a winning strategy for Hollywood.
However, reboots and remakes aren’t without their downsides. By focusing so heavily on revisiting existing properties, studios risk neglecting original ideas, stifling the creativity that has long been the backbone of the film industry. This overreliance on familiar titles has also led to audience fatigue, with many viewers growing tired of repetitive plots and recycled stories.
Failures like Mulan (2020) and The Mummy (2017) serve as reminders that not all reboots are guaranteed successes. When these projects fail to resonate with audiences or live up to the originals, they can result in disappointment and backlash. Capturing the magic of the source material is no easy feat, and when reboots fall short, it leaves many questioning if the effort was even worth it.
That said, not all reboots and remakes are destined to fail. Some, like Top Gun: Maverick and Dune (2021) manage to strike the right balance by honouring the spirit of the originals while introducing fresh storytelling and modern production values. These films prove that, when done well, reboots can resonate with audiences old and new.
Conversely, others like The Mummy and Charlie’s Angels (2019) struggle to justify their existence. Common pitfalls include lacklustre execution, a failure to innovate, or simply not offering a compelling reason for the remake. The difference often lies in the approach—respecting the original while delivering something new and meaningful is crucial. Without this balance, reboots risk being dismissed as shallow cash grabs.
Streaming platforms like Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max have also played a major role in fuelling the reboot culture. With intense competition to attract and retain subscribers, these platforms lean heavily on familiar Intellectual Property (IP), knowing that recognisable content draws audiences in.
Franchises such as Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney classics dominate these platforms, leveraging their immense popularity to overshadow original films. While these titles are lucrative, their dominance raises concerns about whether there’s still room for innovation. As budgets and resources are funnelled into remakes and sequels, it’s becoming harder for unique, original stories to break through.
Despite this, original films continue to find successes, proving that audiences still crave fresh storytelling. Movies like Everything Everywhere All At Once and Get Out show that creativity can triumph at the box office when paired with compelling narratives and bold ideas. These films are a testament to cinema’s potential to push boundaries and surprise audiences, offering hope that innovation still has a place in Hollywood’s future.
As the industry continues its love affair with reboots, an important question lingers: can Hollywood find a way to balance revisiting old favourites with fostering new ideas? While nostalgia will always have its appeal, audiences also yearn for stories that challenge expectations and bring something fresh to the screen.
Filmmakers can take the lead by championing original concepts and daring to take creative risks, while viewers can influence the industry by supporting indie films and amplifying innovative projects. The future of Hollywood doesn’t have to choose between the old and the new—there’s room for both, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
