Don't be mad at me. I had another little idea.

I feel like Team Mafia would hate Dream at first. He's headstrong and sure of himself and while he doesn't go around looking for fights (his time at his messy ass family made him great at figuring out and descaling arguments) he also does not trust anyone, and Team Mafia wanted him melting in their hands like Sapnap does.

But worst of all, and the real reason they all hate him, he still acts as the spokesperson of the dteam. He states all their wishes and questions and decisions and from an outsider it looks like he's still acting like he's their boss, which the Mafia really doesn't like

It isn't until someone accidentally listens in on the three of them arguing about how to bring up some problem (guy was skimming from the top) and later on the day Dream does the thing he always does and says everything they decided on, that it clicks that Dream isn't trying to state his authority or some shit by acting like this, George and Sapnap just have anxiety and neither of them three feels like they need to repeat themselves when Dream could just say it all

Now every time Dream comes to say something someone will mutter "the council has come to a decision" in Spanish under their breath

Team Mafia would not only be pissed at Dream for acting as a Don still and speaking for George and Sapnap, but that they no longer have Sapnap /speak/ to them anymore.

I imagine the first time it happens, it's a few of them dropping off food and water for the first time to the three of them. One of them asked a question to Sapnap directly, something teasing, joking. Only for Dream to cut in front of them to say Sapnap is tired. Will curtly take the food and water for them. And will glare at them until they leave. They would want to goade Dream, but they all know the plan of trying to get Dream and George as compliant as Sapnap. They know it won't be easy considering Dream and George aren’t here on the best of terms. A lot of their plan does fall on Sapnap speaking fondly of them while the three of them are trapped down there. They know they have him wrapped around their finger. And they /very/ much want to show that off to Dream and George. How much Sapnap will /listen/ to them, no matter how humiliating it may be. Just like they did on that day they brought Sapnap his presents. 

HOWEVER. Dream doesn’t seem to be letting Sapnap speak to them. Not even George. And it’s getting on their nerves more and more. (They don’t let Serpias back in there with them for now since he just starts to growl every time Sapnap doesn’t respond to him pft)

When they finally realize what /is/ happening, though they don’t exactly know /why/ Sapnap and George seem to just be passing on what they want to say to Dream, it does lead to a better conversation. George and Sapnap passed out, it’ll be late at night, not that Dream knows, but he hasn’t exactly been sleeping very much, when only Serpias enters.

Dream huffs and ask if he’s there to growl at them again. Serpias will chuckle actually! With his broken English, will thank Dream, for taking care of Sapnap.

Dream…he’s suspicious. Of course he’s going to take care of Sapnap, he’ll say. Serpias will say he knows. They found his messages to Dream and George. Dream doesn’t know where this conversation is going. Serpias will keep talking about Sapnap, fondly. Will talk about funny stories about Sapnap. Dream is tired and doesn’t realize he’s smiling at the stories, even starts to laugh. The sleepy pleased thought that Sapnap really was taken care of here. That Sapnap really wasn’t trying to cover up the truth on how he was treated. 

Serpias will ask for funny stories about Sapnap that Dream must have. They’ve known each other forever! Dream thinks this won’t lead to anything, he won’t say anything that has sensitive information. He can share just childhood stories. And he does. And Serpias will laugh and Dream will start to wheeze remembering these stories. Serpias will sometimes interject with his own stories of Sapnap still doing whatever silliness Dream described Sapnap did as a kid.

It’s….fun…relieving in a sense. Dream is grateful for this…truce(?). Really thankful to find out that Sapnap was not subjected to cruel teasing and belittling the entire time he’s been here. It was hard to believe him after the whole fiasco that first day.

Serpias, after maybe a couple hours of laughing together and constantly telling each other to shush to not wake up George and Sapnap, will eventually ask him the million dollar question though. Why don’t Sapnap or George speak up.

Dream will actually laugh at that. George has always been one to make Dream speak for him, he hates wasting the effort of having to repeat himself. For Sapnap…

“Sapni…?”

“Well…he’s anxious. I think he’s actually scared of you guys…”

“WHAT?!”

Dream will tell Serpias to shushhhh. Omg shut up you’re gonna wake them up!!!

“Porque?? Que le pasa??? Whaaa?”

Dream will chuckle at Serpias’ exaggeration(at least, he thinks its exaggeration)

“Well. I don’t know actually. Not completely. But um, I think, he thinks, that you guys hate him? I’m not very sure actually..?”

“WHAT?!”

Shhhuushhshhhh

They both freeze hearing shuffling in the cot. Whoever is moving around finally settles and they both let out the breathe they were holding hehehe

“I love Sapni >:0!! Todos!!! We all do!! That’s why you two are here, whattt??? >:0000!!!!????”

Dream… Doesn’t know what to do with that actually. He’s too tired to make sense of that right now.

“Oh.”

“”Yea >:(“

It silent between them. Dream doesn’t know how to follow up. He wants to retaliate, the easy quick confession saying they love Sapnap, should just be superficial. Serpias is just saying that, doesn’t really mean it. Doesn’t love him like Dream does. But. Dream would murder anyone who hurt Sapnap, torture and maim. Try and do anything to make him happy.

And well…They /kidnapped/ Dream and George /for/ Sapnap. Because they want to keep him here, he could figure that out. But to have /everyone/ he loves together too. Because he knows Sapnap loves them too, as much as Sapnap refuses to admit it. Perhaps because he thinks it’ll be a betrayal to George and Dream. It clicks in Dream why Sapnap resorts to babbling he loves them when he gets overwhelmed every time Dream and George start grilling him more about Team Mafia. He doesn’t want to reveal how he truly feels about them.

Dream is not bothered by this whatsoever. He doesn’t know why, but he’s blaming it on sleep deprivation right now (though he doesn���t really think that’s why.)

“He loves you guys too.” Is what Dream will say to interrupt the silence.

Seprias lights up like a Christmas tree lmao

“Really!!! What did he tell you :D?!”

Dream will chuckle, opens his mouth to explain only for a yawn to break through.

Serpias will realize how long he’s been here and makes his way to leave. Will say sorry for keeping him up, surely he wants to sleep (Dream does, but he won’t. Not yet.)

But before he goes Serpias will ask him what his and George’s favorite breakfast are. Dream replies without even thinking.

Serpias smiles, and says goodnight! That Shadoune and Conter will be there in the morning with food!

The door will lock with a click. Dream is realizing Serpias wasn’t here to deliver food or water….Whatever, he can worry about that later.

He stares off at the ceiling, thinking about Sapnap and the stories Serpias told him. He’ll have to talk with him once he wakes up. After breakfast though.

(Serpias will report back. And they all exclaim like he did when he tells them Sapnap is (maybe) scared of them. They're gonna have to brainstorm how to fix this now….)

One of my favorite headcanons is that Leo grew up watching telenovelas with Splinter.

It just works so well - his bits of Spanish that he spouts randomly, his showy way of apologizing, and, of course, his love for dramatic betrayals all point to this being a very real possibility.

Plus, it’s very cute to imagine a tiny Leo at his father’s side as they both gasp in shock when the show’s eighth plot twist in just as many episodes happens.

Hello ! I positively adore the running joke of Idia unknowingly finding Lilia to be the coolest guy ever whenever he doesn't know it's him, like when Silver described his father, or obviously with muscle red. I can't say what'd be funnier, Idia finding out his online best friend is actually Lilia, resident spooky hyper fairy; or them both never finding out, and it'd become even more ridiculous as time goes on. How do you think it'll play out ? You're always so on point

(Also, though it makes sense, I'm still devastated bat boy didn't get a ticket for the Halloween skeleton train : ( does anyone mentions him at some point ? Like how he'd have fit right in with all those Halloween town little freaks, and how he'd have impressed them with his spooks and scared techniques; after all he's been every Briar Valley's children worst fear on Halloween for centuries. I'm on the eng server and I didn't wanna spoil myself by watching the whole thing on youtube)

you and me both, Idia and Lilia being oblivious online BFFs (+ Idia being incredibly intimidated any time Silver brings up his jock gamer dad) is my favorite running joke/subplot. 🤝 it's SO good, to the point where I also am unsure if I actually want it to ever be resolved or not...maybe, like, as a post-canon stinger or something? everyone's standing around covered in overblot ink, and Idia and Lilia's phones go off at the same time...

(legit I do think this is part of why Idia couldn't be present for Lilia's dream, because for some reason Lilia decided he was going to just. embody his past self online. he probably quotes his own battle strategies or whatever in the middle of boss fights. Idia didn't pick up on the whole "oh how weird that we both live on a super remote island" thing, but he would spend thirty seconds listening to General Lilia describing siege warfare and be like "w-wait")

all that aside, however it does end up happening, I do see Lilia being very blasé and all "oh! cool!" about it. y'know, taking it very much in stride! and Idia...very much not.

(can't tell if tumblr is going to chew this into illegibility or not, this will be a fun surprise ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ)

as for Lilia sadly missing out on Halloweentown shenanigans...he does get one little mention as part of an offhand reference to the light music club, but so far no one has brought up how this basically is just Lost In the Book of Liliatown (Sebek's been too busy yelling about not getting to be in the same group as Malleus). 😔 honestly though, it's probably for the best that he got left out, because he would just settle right in and refuse to ever leave. canon would shatter. we would miss out on all the delightful angst of episode 7 because Lilia is too busy eating poisonous shrubbery inbetween practicing his very best screams, and no one can pull him away from it.

(I can hope for a sequel next year though...)
