I think the plot of wicked for good will be
In ???, elphaba faked her death at the melting and subsequently fled to Coney Island and opened an amusement park. Ten years later, in 1907, Fiyero and Glinda come to Coney Island. Elphaba has a son who is just Ten Years Old. Glinda is now an abusive alcoholic. Seven and a half minutes of awkward exposition informs us that Fiyero and Elphaba totally banged the night before his wedding to Glinda. In the end, Fiyero is shot and killed by a jealous (and also not dead) Glinda, who has fallen in love with Elphaba .
Based on @catie-does-things love never dies as the sequel to other things post

Elphaba and Dr. Dillamond for real smashed the “gays and their emotional support English teacher” trope. She’s GREEN (i mean this affectionately) and caught in a BISEXUAL ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS THROUPLE IN DENIAL. He’s a LIFE SCIENCES teacher in the book and a HISTORY teacher in the musical. And they are BOTH ENEMIES OF STATE.

honestly the wicked thropple genuinely devastates me cause as much as they are made for each other, they equally are made to fall apart in tragedy. there is no happy ending with the three of them together, but there's also no happy ending that is without the three of them together. there’s no such thing as a happy ending that doesn’t include the three of them together, not for their characters and what they've searched for within each other throughout their stories. but that could never be, and there is no happy ending for them (and I don't know what came first in that circle of suck). and it all works to tell the story, sure, of a broken system that wears down the people trying to live and love and make things better. but, fuck, their "love triangle" is actually just a doomed ecosystem

Elphaba isn't the only one to see through Fiyero's mask. Glinda does too, and it terrifies her.
Because I think she sees herself in Fiyero, and if he's unhappy behind his carefully constructed people-pleasing façade, what does that say about her?
So she cannot ever bring herself to acknowledge it. That might make it real.

Elphaba is either 5 apples tall and fuelled by rage and misery (which turns both Glinda and Fiyero on, but they won’t admit it to her face) or she’s absolutely gargantuan and taller than both Fiyero and Glinda (but they can both pick her up because she’s built like a string bean), still fuelled by rage and misery and no other headcannon is correct.

"Oh yes, I do miss Shiz, especially the library." Glinda the Good would smile, giggling and recounting the map of Shiz.
But she doesn't miss Shiz, she doesn't miss the library, the fields, or the dormitory. She misses the people who were in them. The green girl that has her nose in a book the whole time, the prince that had started a school-wide dance so terrific no one shushed him, the girl in a chair that managed to land excellent shots when they played, and the munchkin that thought cutting down a tree was a fun activity.
She doesn't miss Shiz.
She misses the people a decade ago.
One under the house, one made of tin, one made of straw, and the last, a puddle. The latter two live, but not in her eyes, they were as dead as The Wicked Witch of The West.
But in her mind, Galinda was still with them, giggling softly, still clinging to Fiyero and Elphaba, still laughing with Nessa, still groaning about work to Boq.
And Glinda?
Glinda the Good only had memories.
And they were enough.
Sometimes.

Wild that both acts of Wicked start with a musical number that’s essentially Glinda being swarmed by manic Ozians, singing about how happy she’s supposed to be, meanwhile (because Elphie is both absent and being actively hate-crimed) there has never been a person more dead inside than her 🙃

I think gliyeraba as a concept is so interesting and beautiful—you’ve got the self-absorbed blonde learning to be a good person, the pretend-shallow man trying his best to deal with the other two, and the smart fierce broccoli who somehow pulled the two most popular people in school.
the dynamics are also so interesting because there’s the token popular couple of the school that everyone thinks will either break up or get married right after school (and both do sort of happen), there’s the enemies to lovers AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES, and there’s the popular guy and girl only he notices.
it’s just overall so interesting and adorable, and their trio as a whole is amazing <33

See you November 21st, 2025
due to certain things coming to my attention I should clarify: what I mean by "crying ableism over Nessa's death" is people forgetting Wicked is based on Wizard of Oz and therefore Nessa (re: the Wicked Witch of the West's sister) is inherently doomed by the narrative (to have a house fall on her) and thus her death was not a decision "to kill off the canonically disabled character" made for the movie
What I don't mean is to diminish the voices of fans who take issue with the way the Wicked Witch of the East scene is handled in the show. Whilst I don't personally see it as harmful, I am not a part of the disabled community; so it's not really my place to say whether it's right or wrong. Depending on how they handle Nessa walking (I don't know whether or not Marissa is ambulatory) genuine discussions of disability representation and ableism might be brought to light; but that isn't a speculation I wanted to include in what is meant to be a light-hearted meme. That is a conversation that should be taken seriously if it does come up in regards to part two, and is not what I intended that bingo square to refer to.
All that being said, was it a questionable choice for Greg to make Nessa disabled when he wrote the book? Well... that's a convo for a different day.

Somehow I am becoming a spokesperson for Gliyero just by virtue of ‘not enough people talk about why they’re important and devastating in their own right and it’s driving me insane’

actually yeah I'll also mention this: not only is fiyero how both elphaba and glinda begin to understand deeper forms of love a la "I'm not that girl", but he also brings them together in BOTH the ozdust (intentionally or not, he humanizes Elphaba/reminds Glinda of Elphie's humanity when he points her out) and post-Popular (again, intentionally or not, telling Elphaba she doesn't have to be Glinda draws attention to the nature of their relationship—possibly a clue for her that loving Glinda doesn't necessarily mean completely emulating her, but just accepting her as who she is). so yeah fiyero is the heartbeat of this throuple cry abt it
