you know what i love about kaos' version of orpheus and eurydice? how much it reminds me of carol ann duffy's eurydice poem. like yes i love their 'original story' so much, in which they both love each other. but i also love the idea that eurydice felt trapped in their marriage, that she didnt want to go back to being orpheus' wife. i love that interpretation as much as i love the one where they both love each other deeply. im just a romantic and want them to both love each other. but carol ann duffys poem absolutely fucking slaps and kaos building off that and going she goes back but she doesnt go back to him. like YESSSS. fucking love that shit. i love multiple interpretations and retellings of the same story. show me how that shit changes for each person and each generation's intepretation. anyway i love the romanticism of the 'orignal story' but absolutely go fucking feral over the feminist retellings of eurydice's story
