Me: Aether demonstrated selflessness by prioritizing Nahida's happiness on her birthday over his own. He has helped numerous people in each region he’d been to, showcasing this perfectly.

Any older sibling would naturally be concerned about their younger sibling, and vice versa, even if they know they're leading the Abyss Order, which they've fought since Mondstadt, despite knowing that Lumine can take care of herself. They also care about the well-being of their friends.

Aether, along with the other members of the Sumeru crew, made a concerted effort to ensure that Nahida's birthday was a joyful occasion instead of a somber one. Given the hardships Nahida endured at the hands of the sages for 500 years—essentially being imprisoned and mistreated—Aether's kindness and thoughtfulness truly shine through in the screenshots below.

The jackal and the witch AU ～ Nahida and Scaramouche 🌻🐈‍⬛

A new characters reference sheet makes an appearance, about witch Nahida and her familiar Scaramouche (or Scarameow for friends... who are not so many😆)!

Although he looks like an adorable cuddly kitten, in reality Scaramouche's body is that of a puppet. In fact many years ago, his previous witch, summoning his spirit from the spirit realm, trapped him in a physical body through a curse, in order to experiment and find a way to harness the power of spirits as much as possible without all the contractual constraints that normally bind a witch to a familiar. Unfortunately, the experiment was not very successful, because even if reduced, contractual constraints still require some commitment on the part of both parties to achieve this power exchange, instead of free access to the magic of the spirit indefinitely without limits. That's why the first witch quickly lost interest about Scara, and abandoned him to pursue other goals. Later, after wandering alone for a long time in Teyvat and having some traumatic experiences with humans that didn't exactly end well, Scaramouche was found by Nahida and made a contract with her ฅ(^◕ᴥ◕^)ฅ💜

Nahida, instead, despite her appearance, is one of the most powerful witches in Teyvat, cursed to constantly appear with the body of a child without ever aging. She was cursed centuries ago to protect her nation from some ancient and evil forces, and for 500 years she has been the principal of the Sumeru Akademiya. Despite her past, she lives her curse very calmly and serenely, always trying to remain sunny and optimistic about the future, convinced that knowledge can help raise new generations of witches who can do good and improve the world through magic („• ֊ •„)💚 She is currently not on good terms with the Sages, the council of older teachers of the Akademiya, but she puts up with them so as not to create further unnecessary turmoil within the school😅🙈

Since the two have entered into a contract, Scaramouche's unique physical constitution allows him and Nahida not to be constantly together, allowing them to be apart even for long distances and periods of time. Nahida rarely harnesses Scara's power, but rather would like to try to be his friend, having discovered the emptiness the latter carries since he has been forced to live on earth. Not exactly knowing how to return to the spirit realm by his own, Scara accepted his new life within the Akademiya (and secretly beginning to appreciate it, while slowly healing from his past traumas too)🌻🐈‍⬛
