Action Equals Faith; Faith Always Equals Action
Newton’s law of motion says that for whenever an object exerts force on another object, the second object exerts an equal and opposite reaction upon the first. (https://www1.grc.nasa.gov/beginners-guide-to-aeronautics/newtons-laws-of-motion/ ) Perhaps you never thought of it, but there is also a spiritual law of motion: for every particle of faith, there is a corresponding action. One cannot…

I Am In Anguish In This Flame (Part 2) (220) - November 18 2023
Play on other Podcast Apps The second of two programs looking at Luke 16:19-31, regarding the rich man and the destitute Lazarus. On earth Lazarus was at the gate of the rich man, begging for anything that may drop from the man’s table. After both died (in the physical sense), the rich man and Lazarus switched positions. The man was taken to Hades (the place of the dead) by angels, while Lazarus…

I bought Aziraphale's Bible so you don't have to.
Am I insane? Yes. Was it worth it? Maybe. In most* of both season 1 and season 2 of GO, there's a very specific Bible on a bookstand next to Aziraphale's desk. It's a vintage illustrated plate book by Harold Copping, known as the Harold Copping Bible, published by the religious tract society in London in 1910. It features some of the most well known Old Testament stories, summarized and annotated by the Bishop of Durham at the time, and illustrated by Copping, who was freshly returned from a sojourn in the middle east. Ironically, It was meant as a lay-person's version of a comic book, short, exciting by use of exotic illustrations, and easy to read.
But my (expensive) gain is now your gain! As I've collected here every visible page in both seasons for your reading and viewing pleasure.
Season 1: All episodes Adam & Eve Genesis iii (1:3) / HCB page 10
Season 2: Episode 1 Joseph known to his brethren Genesis xlv (1:45) / HCB Page 28
S2E1 14:21, S2E1 17:41, S2E1 39:45
Season 2: Episode 2 Jacob's vow Genesis xxviii (1:28) / HCB Page 22
S2E2 5:49
Season 2: Episode 2 Joseph known to his brethren Genesis xlv (1:45) / HCB Page 28
S2E2 13:38 (see S2E1 above)
Season 2: Episode 2 The Brazen Serpent Numbers xxi (4:21) / HCB page 36
S2E2 16:12, 43:40
Season 2: Episode 2* Bible on the desk, Magazine on the stand Annuel L'art Pour Tous, Cover (1861-1880 most likely)
S2E2 22:10
The French L'art pour tous industrial design periodical will have to be a story for another post. For now, just enjoy this 1880 edition copperplate of cherubs discovering a microscope...
Season 2: Episode 2 Imaginary page from HCB, Job KJV Job (18:1) / HCB N/A
S2E2 22:29, S2E2 40:05 Obviously, the plate illustrations and text look different here than in the real bible, because they were created for the show. But there are a few more particularities here. For one, this layout with the thin grid around the text, as well as the paragraph symbol next to the first title, indicate that this would have been a printer's proof copy, not a finished book. It shows you the layout grid and can be annotated for changes. Second, there seems to be a war going on between fonts. Where the "chapter" of Job begins, we get a font and a style similar to the original bible, which gets rudely interrupted by a dropped capital (from the real book) and a Gothic-style font/verse numbers like in the original King James version of the printed Bible.
Season 2: Episode 3 The Brazen Serpent NUMBERS xxi (4:21) / HCB page 36
S2E3 1:18 (see episode 2)
Season 2: Episode 5 By the Rivers of Babylon Pslam cxxxvii (19:137) / HCB page 52
S2E5 21:20
Season 2: Episode 6 Bible missing, L'art pour Tous on the stand Annuel L'art Pour Tous, Cover (1861-1880 most likely)
S2E6 10:21, 17:21, 18:15, 34:28 (see episode 2)
Season 2: Episode 6 Closed HCB, L'art pour Tous on the stand behind HCB page 0
S2E6 37:58, 44:20, 48:08

Miguel O’Hara: A comprehensive reading guide
I honestly don’t know if this has been done yet, and considering that there are multiple different main canons for Miguel, it’s even more confusing on where to start.
To clarify, there is 3 different “Mainstream” universes for Miguel. Earth 928 (The main universe for most Miguel media), Earth-2099, and Earth-6375 (The universe where he’s part of the exiles)
I’m gonna be starting with
Earth-928
(Note: I’ll try to put these in order as much as possible, but due to retcons and other things like Spiderverse it may not be 100% accurate)
Important reads are in bold
-Amazing Spider-Man #365 (Not really important, it’s just a preview of the first issue, but it’s counted as Miguel’s very first appearance so.)
-Spiderman 2099 vol 1 #1-10 (VERY important reads, they set up the universe and Miguel’s origin story)
-2099 unlimited #1-3 (Not really important to the lore, but they’re silly little stories that I have to mention them)
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 #11-15
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 #16, Ravage 2099 #15, X-men 2099 #5, Doom 2099 #14, Punisher 2099 #13 (VERY important reads, highlights the fall of the hammer arc and shows Miguel’s relationships with other 2099 characters, especially Jake Gallows. Read in the exact order listed)
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 #17-22
-2099 unlimited #8
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 #23-34
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 annual
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 #35-38 (Venom 2099 arc, important read as it introduces Kron Stone properly)
-Spider-Man 2099 special
-Spider-Man 2099 meets Spider-Man (First introduction of Miguel to Peter)
-2099 unlimited 9-10
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 #39-43
-Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 #1-5
The following issues have been mostly retconned and are no longer canon. I’m listing them still for sake of continuity (Plus they’re interesting) but they are NOT canon to E-928
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 #44-46
-2099: World of tomorrow #1-8
-2099: Manifest Destiny
End of retconned comics
-Captain Marvel vol 4 #27-30
-Superior Spider-Man #17-19
-Amazing Spider-Man vol 3 #1
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 2 #1-12
Note during this time is the Spiderverse event and Miguel is featured in multiple comics that tie into it. I will not be listing them all due to time, plus he was mostly featured in his own comic for it anyways
-Secret wars 2099 #1-5
-Amazing Spider-Man vol 4 #1
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 3 #1-10
-Spiderman 2099 vol 3 #11-16 (I list them separately because this takes place during Civil War 2 and that also has a lot of tie in comics that I will not be listing due to time. But yeah. That’s a thing)
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 3 #17-25
-Amazing Spider-Man vol 5 #32-36
Earth 2099
-2099 Alpha
-Spider-Man 2099 vol 4
-2099 Omega (This and vol 4 are E-2099 Miguel’s origin story. I’m not personally a fan of the writing but it is essential to read if you want to understand the universe)
-Spider-Man 2099 Exodus Alpha, #1-5, and Omega
-Spider-Man 2099 Dark Genesis #1-5
-Miguel O’Hara, Spider-Man 2099 #1-5 (The best series we’ve gotten so far of this earth, not really important to the Miguel lore. I just like it lol)
Earth-6375
Note that this is optional to read and I’ve heard some very mixed opinions about how Miguel is written here. If you want to read it, be my guest.
-Exiles #72
-Exiles #75-99
-Exiles annual 1
Honorable mention: Timesplitters 2009-2099 #1-4, Spider-Man, and X Men.
These technically take place in a separate continuity to all 3, but they are important enough that I listed them anyways.
Honorable mention 2: Edge of Spiderverse vol 2
Idk what continuity it takes place in. it is currently ongoing.
Other non comic media
The following is a list of media that Miguel is featured in extensively (Not counting all the mobile games because I mean those are just gacha games and aren’t important to the Miguel lore)
-Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse and Spider-Man across the Spiderverse
-Ultimate Spider-Man S3EP9 and 12
-Spider-Man Edge of time (Personal favorite adaptation of Miguel in media)
-Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions
-Araña and Spiderman 2099: Dark Tomorrow (Not confirmed but likely takes place in E-928 5 years after series ends)
And that’s about it! If there’s any appearances I missed, please don’t hesitate to say something and I’ll fix it as soon as possible.
#miguel ohara#miguel o'hara#spider man 2099#spiderman 2099#marvel comics#why yes I spent way too much time on this.

✭ Series Masterlist ✭
Languishing in a dull and lonely existence on the forest moon of Endor after travelling there to help salvage Death Star wreckage, a nearly fatal encounter with a mysterious bounty hunter out in the forest heralds an opportunity to utilise long-forgotten skills and develop something more profound than you ever thought possible.
Second person POV, present tense. Set post-season 2, diverges from Canon events before TBoBF and season 3. This is a novel-length, exceptionally slow burn with an original plot, worldbuilding, and fully-developed characterisation. SWU concepts and lore are accurately researched.
WORDS: 406,690
PAIRING: Din Djarin x Female Reader/You
RATING: Explicit (18+)
CHARACTERS: Din Djarin, Reader/You/Female OC, Original Non-Human Character(s), Original Human Characters, Greef Karga, Cara Dune, Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Peli Motto
TAGS: Slow Burn, Slow Build, Romance, Love, Sexual Tension, Eventual Smut, Smut, Sex, Sexual Content, Explicit Sexual Content, Fluff, Fluff and Smut, Fluff and Angst, Light Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Relationships, Healthy Relationships, Canon-Typical Violence, Blood and Injury, Dark Past, Additional Warnings In Author's Notes, Bounty Hunter Din Djarin, Soft Din Djarin, Touch-Starved Din Djarin, Din Djarin Needs a Hug, Smart Din Djarin, Soft Dominant Din Djarin, Ewok Species, Mandalorian Culture, Mando'a Language, New Razor Crest, Thoroughly Researched, Worldbuilding, No use of y/n.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This took me almost a year to write and four months to edit/proof. Each chapter is prefaced with specific tags and (where necessary) warnings, plus word counts. End notes contain translations and comments… this baby is thoroughly researched, so I’m sharing context where appropriate. I’ve also added definitions of in-universe terms so people less familiar with the franchise won’t be left wondering what the hell certain words or references mean. This is a slow burn (adult themes), and although the explicit content only occurs in the latter half, when it does, it warrants the ‘E’ rating. Basically, the first half is a love story, and the second half gets spicy. I hope you enjoy it!

✨Additional Media✨
@burntheedges has written a spectacular little drabble detailing what Din was up to during the paragraph break near the end of chapter 1 (*SPOILERS* you don’t find this out until chapter 27).
@roughdaysandart has sketched a fantastic study of chapter 33 and it’s absolutely perfect (*SPOILERS* cliffhanger ending for the chapter).
@djarin-desires has created some awesome AI images of a few scenes using Midjourney.
I spent a stupid amount of money on the Hot Toys official Din Djarin action figure, simply so I could photograph him in poses from my fic 🤷🏼♀️ This is just a taster of what’s to come, but here he is offering to help Reader climb onto the speeder in chapter 8.
🧡💚 Thank you for reading! 💚🧡

because I like to make my beloved stinky red poetry boy suffer, what would happen if Genesis had a stroke pre CC? A&S reactions?? degradation begins?
I bring you yet another sad AU that I won't write lmao
The lights above the combat sim blink, indicating that it's ready for him. Lazard asks if he's ready, and Genesis almost jokes that he was born ready, but holds back. He doesn’t want to jinx it. It’s not that he's worried. He only needs to match his previous score from last year, but he's confident he will surpass it. After all, he's only gotten better, sharper, his movements more calculated. He has no need to worry. It's just a standard performance review.
Genesis spends a moment in the silence while the program boots up, offering a few prayers to the Goddess as his thumb traces the hilt of his sword. No need to worry.
The gray walls dissolve into a forest. Again he pays attention to the details; the scent of pine, the low hum of the materia threatening to come to life in his bracer, the crunch of the leaves beneath his boots. He's ready. From the shadows, grotesque figures begin to materialize: monsters slithering through the underbrush. 1-2-3-4. Genesis knows the task at hand is simple, which is why he doesn't falter: kill them all. 5-6-6-8. They keep coming. 9-10-11-12.
His senses sharpen. 13-14-15-16. He launches into action. The red rapier slashes through the first wave of them, flames flaring from each blow. 17-18-19-20. Each maneuver is precise. It has to be, each strike calculated, he can't falter. 21-22-23-24. He knows eyes are on him—evaluating, scrutinizing, judging. 25-26-27-28. The pressure to perform fuels his need to get the job done quickly.
He becomes a blur of crimson, blood mixing with the color of his coat as he moves around the simulation. 29-30-31-32-34. The chime overhead signals that he's matched his previous record. He could stop now, rest on his achievements, but he can't bring himself to do it.
The excess adrenaline coursing through his veins urges him to continue. He pushes forward, the rapier cleaving through flesh and bone. 35-36-37-38. He's reaching Sephiroth's territory now, the skill level escalating. He knows he can do it, knows he can match Sephiroth’s record. 39-40-41-42.
Lazard's voice sounds over the speakers, urging him to stop, but Genesis ignores it. 43-44-45-46.
He ignores the alarm blaring in the background, the warnings flashing across his vision which grows blurrier by the second. He's consumed by the fight, by the need to prove himself. 47-48-49-50. His blood boils hot and thick in his veins, matching the heat that clings to him and makes him hungry for the release of the cooling aftershock once he reaches his goal. He needs to make it to 70.
He reaches 58 when his body betrays him. Exhaustion hits him with the force of a monster's jaws clamping shut on him, swallowing him whole as his limbs grow heavy and his movements sluggish. He falls to his knees, his heart racing uncontrollably as he fights to catch his breath. 58. So close.
The heat is unbearable, and he peels off his coat, desperate for relief. The simulation halts, the forest and monsters dissipating as the combat sim becomes blank once again.
Angeal, Sephiroth, and Lazard rush in as the doors open.
He's informed that he did surpassed his previous record, though he hasn't matched Sephiroth's. Still, the progress is undeniable. Genesis feels a swell of pride mixed with his fatigue as he nods in acknowledgment. This is fine. He just needs to rest now. He's tired but pleased, rising to his feet with his mind already drifting to creature comforts like a long, hot shower, apple cider, and then curling up in bed with a book. He just needs to get back to his apartment. He's done here.
Sure, he's walking a bit strangely, but he’s done here. Yes, his vision is blurry, but it's just the aftershock of the fight. He's fine.
He doesn't understand why Sephiroth is calling out to him, why his face looks so concerned, or why he keeps asking him to raise both arms above his head. Genesis complies, thinking it's so dramatic. And now Angeal is asking him to smile—also dramatic. Of course, he can smile, but he has no reason to now.
And now they're yelling for help, and Sephiroth is coming towards him. They're so dramatic. Of course he isn't having a stroke. He was fine only a minute ago. He beat his own record; they all saw. He's fine. His entire body feels numb, but he's fine, just tired.
He's trying to tell them that he's fine, but his words aren't coming out as intended. He's slurring his speech, and now they're dragging him away. He can't understand what's going on or why they're all yelling or why he's being taken to medical.
Suddenly, he can't understand anything at all.
All of that happened four weeks ago. Genesis slipped into a coma shortly after it.
Hollander says he was supposed to wake up two weeks ago, and they all expect to be there for him. It's the aftermath of a stroke, and Angeal and Sephiroth know there will be changes. Genesis will be angry, he will be upset, but they are going to be there for him. So why isn't he waking up?
That's the question Sephiroth asks Hollander one day. Hollander—who always acts as if he wants to say something whenever Sephiroth is around—hesitates.
Sephiroth is aware of the mutual disdain between Hollander and Hojo, and knows that in Hojo's eyes, Genesis is as good as dead under Hollander's care. Still, for Genesis' sake, Sephiroth has placed his trust in him. He's been consumed with guilt, blaming himself for the overexertion that caused Genesis' stroke. If he hadn't set an unattainable record, Genesis would never have tried to match it.
This time, Hollander grants him the courtesy of explaining what's really going on—that Genesis is degrading while in his coma.
Sephiroth asks about the degradation, if there's any way he can help. And Hollander smiles. He asks if Sephiroth really doesn't know. Of course, Sephiroth doesn't know. He doesn't know what's happening to Genesis, but he does know that whatever it is, he is going to help. He'll do anything in his power to cure him.
Anything.
Even if it means deserting Shinra after learning about the true horrors of what led Genesis to that state, that Angeal is next, that their whole existence has been a carefully concealed lie, and that he now needs to find the cure—or rather, as Genesis once said, the gift of the goddess.

what is the Gospel?
history . .
there is one God in 3 persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God existed before anything else did; He created all things perfectly, including human beings, who He made in His image (Genesis 1:1, 26-28, John 1:1-3). God is the only holy, perfect Being in existence, and He created us to know Him forever.
God created humanity to partner with Him in ruling His perfect creation, however, humanity quickly fell into rebellion when adam & eve listened to temptation from satan, the serpent. the serpent twisted God's Word and adam & eve trusted in their own judgement rather than God's and listened to their selfish desire to define good and evil for themselves instead of letting God show them what was holy & good (Genesis 3).
adam & eve were cast out from God's perfect garden, severing ALL of humanity's relationship with God and separating us from His presence. because of this original sin (disobeying and distorting God's Word), all of humanity is born in a sinful state. the serpent, too, was cast from the garden and since the original sin, has been influencing the world into more and more evil, temptation, and distance from God. however, God promised that there would be a Descendant from eve Who would crush the serpent's head and defeat him (Genesis 3:14-15).
the sinful state of humanity causes all of us to be separated from God from birth and into eternity; sin cannot coexist with utter purity & holiness (Romans 6:23, 8:7-8).
God stayed faithful in taking care of humanity even despite our separation from Him; He made promises to abraham, isaac, and jacob, and their descendants (the jewish nation israel named after jacob), that they would be God's people and He would be their God (Genesis 22:17, Jeremiah 32: 38). He promised to multiply them, making them a countlessly large nation, to set them apart from the other nations to show the world what God is like (Deuteronomy 7:6), and to send them a Savior who would restore all things and bring justice (Isaiah 9:6). God gave them His Word and fulfilled every promise to them; He rescued His people many times from oppression and the downfall of their own mistakes, yet not even His holy people could stay obedient to God. God gave them His law (found in the 5 books of the Torah) to show His people how to be holy (set apart) and to show them who He is and what He values; in order to be worthy to enter God's presence, there would be animal sacrifices and sanctification rituals (Leviticus 16:21) in order to atone for the sins of Israel (God's people), yet none of His people were perfect and kept rebelling against Him.
God started sending prophets into the world, spoken to by His Holy Spirit who divinely inspired the Word of God (the entire Bible), to warn Israel of the gravity of their sins; soon, if God's people would keep participating in evil and turning away from God, they would be exiled from all of the peace and possessions God had promised them and fulfilled them with.
the prophets spoke of Jesus, who, centuries later, fulfilled every single prophecy spoken of Him . .
The Good News . .
Jesus is God, described as the Son of God and the Word of God become human; Jesus took on human flesh yet stayed completely sinless (Hebrews 4:15). He gave His life in the place of all of humanity, not just Israel, in order to extend God's grace, salvation, and presence, to anyone of any background who would repent and call upon Him (Hebrews 2:17, Galatians 3:8).
"The Gospel" means "the Good news."
to repent, means to completely turn around.
atone, means to make amends.
Jesus became the sacrificial lamb (symbolically) in order to fulfill the law of sacrifice that God's people used to participate in in order to enter God's presence (John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:19); because Jesus is God and was the only One holy enough to perfectly atone, this means that Jesus' sacrifice not only fulfilled every law and prophecy, but humanity finally had the chance to be in right-standing with God (1 Timothy 2:5). this means, that instead of being enemies of God, being estranged or distant from God, we now have the right to become God's children, His people, and His friends (Romans 5:10, John 1:12). to repent of our sins, means to pray to God our Father and confess our sinful nature, our rebellion, and the things we have done that have hurt our relationship with God as well as hurt ourselves & those around us. by confessing, we ask for God's forgiveness, we confess who Jesus is and what He did for us, and through this, we receive the Holy Spirit who testifies that we are God's children and Who seals our salvation in Heaven for eternity (Romans 8:16, 2 Corinthians 1:21-22).
Jesus came to earth as a human, yet also 100% God; He lived a perfect life, started His ministry at 30 years old, baptised, healed, drove out demons, and taught of God's character, Word, and Kingdom. Jesus was persecuted by the nation of Israel in order to fulfill the prophecies, He died on a cross, was tortured and killed in our place, and after 3 days He rose from the dead, to fulfill every prophecy (Mark 8:31). in Jesus' death and resurrection, He defeated our sins, He defeated the enemy (satan), and He defeated death. setting us free, giving us eternal life and forgiveness from the Father if we repent and believe that this is Who Jesus Is.
in Jesus, there is forgiveness, peace, healing, joy, & hope (Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Peter 1:3). God heals, God saves, God loves, His Spirit guides and reassures every believer and Jesus completely sets us free; no matter what you have said or done, no matter how much seems to hold you back, Jesus breaks every chain and meets us where we are, however, He loves us too much to leave us as we are. Jesus gives us the ability to live the life of righteousness (right-living) that God intended for us that we were not able to fruitfully & fully do without Jesus and without God's active help. for all time, God has kept His promises and His Word, He has kept His covenant with those He chose to be His people, and while those people always failed, Jesus never has and never will; Jesus fulfilled our side of the covenant, He paid the price that had to be paid for our sins, and in doing so, we can now have relationship with God for eternity, we can now partner with God in loving His people and doing the work of His Kingdom. God is always near, always present, and desires to help you, heal you, and save you.
there will be more Bible verses below that specifically address salvation & repentance; if you need more context or have more questions, this is a safe space to do so. <3
Acts 4:12 — Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
John 14:6 — Jesus answered, "I am the way, the Truth, and the life. no one comes to the Father except through Me."
Acts 2:38 — Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
John 3:16-17 — For God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
Romans 8:38-39 — For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 10:9-10 — If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Hebrews 7:25 — Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.
Luke 5:31-31 — Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
Acts 3:19 — Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
Mark 16:16 — Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Romans 10:13 — for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 3:23 — for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Acts 22:16 — And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Romans 6:23 — For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Action Comes From Faith; Faith Always Equals Action
Newton’s law of motion says that for whenever an object exerts force on another object, the second object exerts an equal and opposite reaction upon the first. (https://www1.grc.nasa.gov/beginners-guide-to-aeronautics/newtons-laws-of-motion/ ) Perhaps you never thought of it, but there is also a spiritual law of motion: for every particle of faith, there is a corresponding action. One cannot…

"we worship God from a place, not for a place" this quote (I heard in a devotional this morning) goes hard because I don't worship God in the hopes I can earn a place in heaven, I worship him because he promised me a seat in heaven.
Romans 3:20 NLT
[20] For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
Romans 3:23-25 NLT
[23] For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. [24] Yet God, in his grace, freely (Isaiah 55:1)makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. [25] For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,
Over and over God tells us the same thing:
"do not be afraid," and "have faith."
Too often in this beautiful weird little app I see too many people getting caught up in the wrong and irrelevant details (Luke 10:38-42, Matthew 11:15).
Luke 10:25-37 NLT
[25] One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” [26] Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” [27] The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself(Proverbs 19:8).’” [28] “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!” [29] The man wanted to justify his actions (Genesis 4:9), so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” [30] Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road. [31] “By chance a priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. [32] A Temple assistant walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side. [33] “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. [34] Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. [35] The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’ [36] “Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked. [37] The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy. Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”
This. This right here is why Jesus hated the Pharisees so much. Because they couldn't understand this, this important but basic commandment. Compassion (Luke 11:46).
Let me put it this way, a person shouldn't be telling you what you should be doing, but instead Jesus should be speaking to you through that person (Matthew 12:33), this is why Proverbs encourages advice and council but in the same breathe God warns you to be careful of who you take that advice from because people are human and only those who have Christ in them are to be trusted.

Jude 1:1-25
This passage in the Bible has been very important for me recently. It helped clear up so many questions I had in my head. If you are willing, read 'The Letter Of Jude' from the Bible and maybe it will clear a few questions up in your head as well!
Bonus: Genesis 19:1-38 (Because it's mentioned, and is very intriguing to me.)

Who is...Theresa Cassidy | Siryn? - A Reading Guide
Theresa "Terry" Cassidy is an X-Men affiliated mutant from Marvel Comics first introduced in 1980. Terry is the daughter of Sean Cassidy (Banshee) and was raised by Tom Cassidy (Black Tom Cassidy) and Cain Marko (Juggernaut). She possesses her father's super-sonic scream and a hypnotic voice. Terry is most known for her affiliation with teams like X-Force and X-Factor, and having taken on the mantle of the ancient goddess, the Morrigan, in the 2010s.
Terry's central story deals with topics that may be triggering such as alcoholism, infant death (X-Factor 2005), and suicide (X-Factor 2020). These are all central themes to her story across the years, if you struggle with triggers related to these topics please proceed with caution and make sure to take care of yourself.
Reading list under the cut!
Crime and Muir Island
Terry's appearances open with her as a criminal alongside Black Tom Cassidy and the Juggernaut. Her heart, however, was not in it, and Tom helped her to reunite with her father, Sean, and Terry then split her time between her father's home and the Muir Island Mutant Research Facility.
Spider-Woman (1978) #37-38 Uncanny X-Men (1981) #148 Fallen Angels (1987) #1-8 Marvel Comics Presents (1988) #43D Uncanny X-Men Annual (1986) #15A X-Factor (1986) # Annual 6A Uncanny X-Men (1981) #278 X-Factor (1986) #69 Uncanny X-Men (1981) #280
X-Force
Terry initially joined X-Force to stop her former father-figures, Tom and Cain, from bombing the World Trade Center but stayed with the team for its entire duration. While on the team Terry would become deputy leader, and with the help of Warpath would recover from alcoholism. Towards the end of the team's tenure Terry lost her voice and subsequently her powers- and would regain her voice/powers (bad), lose them again, and then regain her voice/powers again (good) with the help of her recurring romantic mistake, Deadpool.
X-Force (1991) #3 Spider-Man (1990) #16 X-Force (1991) #4-7, 9, 11-15 X-Cutioner’s Song X-Force (1991) #19, 21-26, Annual 2, 27-28 Cable (1993) #5, 7-8 X-Force (1991) #29-33 New Warriors (1990) #46 X-Force (1991) #34, Annual 3B Cable (1993) #14 X-Force (1991) #35-36, 38-41 Deadpool (1994) #1-4 X-Force (1991) #42-44, 46-50 X-Force and Cable '95 (1995) #1A X-Force (1991) #51-58 X-Force and Cable '96 (1996) #1A X-Force (1991) #59-61 Deadpool (1997) #2-5 X-Force (1991) #63-71 Deadpool (1997) #12 X-Force (1991) #72-84 Generation X (1994) #44 X-Force/Champions Annual '98 (1998) #1 X-Force (1991) #85-91, 99-100 Wolverine (1988) #154-155 Deadpool (1997) #56, 61
X-Corps and X-Corporation
Despite what the name might suggest, these are in fact different things. Terry's father, Sean, formed the paramilitary X-Corps, which was frankly a disaster that had to be reigned in by the X-Men, leaving Sean wounded. Terry joined X-Corporation, a secret branch of the X-Men who operated internationally.
New X-Men (2001) #128, 130 Domino (2003) #3 (just at the beginning) Cable and Deadpool (2004) #15-18 X-Men: Deadly Genesis (2006) #6 (Sean is buried in this issue and Terry is present for the funeral in one panel at the end, important for her character)
X-Factor Investigations
Following the events of M-Day, Terry would join X-Factor Investigations and restart her relationship with Jamie Madrox that had first started back on Muir Island. During this period of time, Terry and Jamie lose their baby, and Terry will come to take on the mantle of the Morrigan.
X-Factor (2005) #1-19, 21A-39, 41-44, 46-50 Nation X: X-Factor (2010) #1 X-Factor (2005) #200, 205-209, 211-213, 217-219, 221-224-228, 230, 233-235, 237-239, 241, 243-244, 262
Krakoa
After disappearing from comics for around 6-7 years following becoming an ancient Irish sovereignty, war, and death deity- Terry, like many mutants, came back on the mutant island nation of Krakoa. Things were not quite paradise here for her courtesy of some things with her dad (not his fault this time)- and also Leah Williams' complete bastardization of the Morrigan arc (in X-Factor 2020) which was literally Terry's last appearances, how fucking hard is it to read like 5 issues of comics Leah? How fucking hard could it possibly be? Terry has less than 300 appearances, get it together.
House of X (2019) #6 Hellions (2020) #1 X of Swords: Creation (2020) #1 X-Factor (2020) #4-10 (THIS IS LEAH WILLIAMS' AWFUL MORRIGAN ARC, BUT IT HAS TERRYLORNA CRUMBS AND REMEMBERS THAT SHATTERSTAR AND TERRY ARE CLOSE WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON IT'S EVEN READABLE) X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic (2021) #26 X-Men: Hellfire Gala Confessionals Infinity Comic (2022) #1 X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic (2021) #50-55
After the Fall
Krakoa fell apart (as all things run by Charles Xavier do), and things are ROUGH for mutants now. We find Terry now imprisoned by the anti-mutant terrorist organization, Orchis, in the Greymalkin Prison.
Free Comic Book Day 2024 Blood Hunt/X-Men
EXTRA:
Wolverine: First Class (2008) #6, 16 (there's no clear place for these in continuity OR in Terry's established backstory, but it's cute and supposedly 616 so it's here)

Water from a Rock
1 The entire Israelite community set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin as the Lord had commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. 2 So the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.”
Moses said to them, “Why are you quarreling with me? Why are you testing the Lord?”
3 But the people were thirsty for water there, so they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you ever bring us up out of Egypt to let us, our children, and our livestock die of thirst?”
4 Moses cried out to the Lord, “What shall I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me!”
5 The Lord said to Moses, “Go in front of the people, and take the elders of Israel with you. Also take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. 6 Watch me. I will stand there in front of you on the rock in Horeb. You are to strike the rock. Water will come out of it, and the people will drink.” Moses did that in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 He named the place Massah and Meribah, because the Israelites quarreled, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”
Battle With the Amalekites
8 Then the Amalekites came and fought against the Israelites at Rephidim. 9 Moses said to Joshua, “Select some men for us, and go out and fight against the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on the hilltop, and God’s staff will be in my hand.” 10 So Joshua did just as Moses told him.
While Joshua was fighting against the Amalekites, Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the hilltop. 11 Whenever Moses held up his hand, the Israelites would start winning, but whenever he lowered his hand, the Amalekites would start winning. 12 When Moses’ arms became tired, they took a stone and placed it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands—one on one side, and one on the other side. In this way his hands were steady until sunset. 13 So Joshua defeated the Amalekite army with the sword.
14 The Lord then said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as a memorial, and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely erase the memory of the Amalekites from under heaven.” 15 Moses built an altar and named it “The Lord Is My Banner,” 16 because he had said, “Since a hand was raised against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will be at war with the Amalekites from generation to generation.” — Exodus 17 | Evangelical Heritage Version (EHV) The Holy Bible, Evangelical Heritage Version®, EHV®, © 2019 Wartburg Project, Inc.
