Artists and writers have also been criticised in the German media for direct or indirect associations with BDS. On 12 November, the Indian poet and curator Ranjit Hoskote announced his resignation from the finding committee for the next edition of the contemporary art exhibition Documenta. Hoskote wrote that he had been "judged, denounced, and stigmatized" by "the German commentariat" for signing a petition circulated by the Indian Cultural Forum in 2019. Newspapers accused Hoskote of antisemitism and of being a BDS sympathiser. Claudia Roth, Germany's minister for culture and media, denounced the letter Hoskote had signed and threatened to withdraw state funding for Documenta. The petition in question had criticised a discussion held at the Israeli consulate in Mumbai on Zionist and Hindutva leaders, including VD Savarkar.

Film Restored 2023. The Film Heritage Festival

On the occasion of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, the 8th edition of the festival Film Restored will take place from 25 to 29 October at Deutsche Kinemathek in Berlin. This year's edition explores gaps in film history and material, as well as absence as a narrative and aesthetic device. The programme highlights recently restored films, some of them considered lost for many decades, and sheds light on works that have received little recognition in film history. The festival comprises 17 screenings with films from 13 countries and 4 continents

Hetalia Kiss Headcanons (Axis)

Headcanons on how the Hetalia characters would kiss their S/O, as well as who I think would initiate your first kiss as a couple~

Italy: I feel like Feliciano's kisses would be passionate, but sweet. The kind of kiss that gives you butterflies in your stomach, but also makes you feel like your soul's on fire. He'd also give you little cheek kisses off and on throughout the day. I feel like he'd be the one to initiate a first kiss, maybe surprising you with it. I also feel like this man is not opposed to attacking you with kisses at any random moment during the day. He won't even register whether or not people are watching, he just wants to show you how much he loves you.

Germany: Ludwig means well, but he's straight-up an awkward mess. He'd love you, of course, but he's not the best at expressing his emotions. Kisses from him will often come in the form of him gently cradling your head and giving you forehead kisses. You'll have to be the one to initiate that first kiss. After you do this, he'll be a little more open to kissing you on the lips. Granted he'll give you a look before doing so, as if asking for approval. If approval is given, the kiss ends up being gentle and chaste, but can definitely heat up if you get him in the mood.

Japan: Kiku is fairly awkward and shy, much like Ludwig. The difference is that Kiku is a bit better at reading the room and understanding how people feel, including you. I feel as though he wouldn't usually kiss you on the lips but on the cheek. Something small and simple as he's going about his day. A tiny little gesture to show he's thinking about you and that he loves you. But kisses on the lips do happen once in a while and are just as sweet and chaste. However, I'd say it's 50/50 as to who makes the first move.

Prussia: Gilbert's kisses are fiery and passionate, filling you with warmth. But they didn't start off that way. He was initially kind of shy about kissing initially. Yeah, he'd talk about it, but actually kissing someone is a whole different thing, but it's still something he'd want to try. He'd be the one to initiate the first kiss, but he'd ask your permission first. The first kiss would be a little tentative and awkward, but he'd quickly get the hang of it, and soon the passion began.

Romano: I can't explain it, but for some reason, I feel like Lovino's kisses would be much more romantic and passionate than his brother's. I can see him being the kind of man to kiss your hand before pulling you forward and landing a passionate kiss on your lips, sparks flying like crazy. The first kiss would probably be initiated by you, though. I feel as though Lovino would be scared of initiating the first kiss, paranoid that he might ruin whatever it is you two have going on. But once you kiss him yourself, all that fear goes right out the window.
