An architect, I used to work in an engineering office in the Gaza reconstruction and I aspired to complete my master’s degree, but my work and studies were halted due to the war. I am divorced and have two children, Amir, 8 years old, and Maryam, 7 years old.

A Call for Hope from Gaza: Let’s Rebuild Dreams

My name is Mohammed, and I am 21 years old from Gaza. Life has never been easy for me.

I attended the best schools in Gaza and worked hard to lighten the burden of my university studies on my father, as I wanted to be independent. I am a university student studying Information Technology and was supposed to graduate this year.

I have worked in design as a freelancer with several individuals and companies, but I am currently facing difficulties due to the internet outage.

I have also worked as a designer and sales marketer with Palestinian telecommunications companies, including Jawwal.

Unfortunately, the destruction of universities in Gaza has significantly impacted my educational journey.

I strive to reduce my parents’ expenses, as they need my care at this stage in their lives, and I am the youngest child in a family of nine.

Right now, I have lost my job and cannot continue my studies, and I don’t know if I will be able to publish this message. I hope for your support, as my campaign is not going as I had hoped. Multiple sources including journalists Islam Bader and Youssef Iyad Al-Saudi report that the occupation has bombed Ibn Al-Haitham School in the ancient Old Town of Shuja’iyya, eastern Gaza City. Journalist Mohamed Al-Jabary documents the anguish and chaos of the displaced people immediately following the attack. The video attached below is very lightly and briefly graphic, but it is extremely upsetting. The linked videos are mildly graphic.

The university I used to attend was a gateway to hope and light for me. It was the place where I strived to achieve my dreams and build my future. But the war in Gaza spared nothing. The destruction that befell the university was devastating; its buildings are no longer standing, and the lecture halls I once sat in are now rubble. It’s as if the dream I worked so hard for collapsed with every wall that fell and every book lost under the ruins.💔

My life and future have been shattered in ways beyond words. All the efforts I put into my years of study no longer seem to matter. I had hoped to complete my education and secure a job that would help me build a decent life, but now all I see ahead is emptiness. There are no job opportunities, and the situation worsens by the day. Life is no longer the same, and each day I feel the weight of destruction not only around me but within me as well.😢

The war didn’t just take away our homes and livelihoods; it also stole our dreams and ambitions.💔

UN General Assembly votes for imposing sanctions on Israel

The UN General Assembly voted today on a resolution to enforce the World Court's ruling that Israel's occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza is entirely illegal and must be brought to an immediate end.

A Final Plea from the Heart of Hell: Save Us Before Hope Dies 💔🔥

Hi, I'm Hani 🤗

I am Hani, a 26-year-old young man from Gaza. I no longer have anything but words, written by a trembling hand ✍️. The war didn’t just destroy our lives; it took everything from us. Our home, the refuge that once sheltered us, is now a pile of rubble 🏚️. My car, my only source of livelihood, was destroyed in a sudden strike 🚗, and the work that once sustained us is now a distant memory 💼.

Today, I live in an unending nightmare. Under a sun that burns everything in its path 🌞🔥, my family and I sit in a worn-out tent, a tent that neither shields us from the summer heat nor the winter cold ❄️. Insects 🦟 invade the place, diseases consume our bodies 🩺, and my younger siblings cry from hunger and thirst 🍞💧. We have no clean water, nor a crumb of bread to ease our hunger. Each passing day deepens the weight of this hell we live in.

My Little Brother is Dying of Fear 😨

My little brother, seven years old, is dying of fear. His eyes never stop crying 😢. Every morning, with a voice choked by tears, he asks me: "When will we go back to our home?" But I have no answer. Writers resign from the Jewish Chronicle following revelations that it laundered fake news based on forged documents from Netanyahu's political office.

On Sunday, Jonathan Freedland and Hadley Freeman took to social media to announce their resignations.

Shortly after, fellow columnists David Baddiel and David Aaronovitch also stepped down.

The resignations come in response to revelation that Netanyahu's office published fake documents about Hamas to justify war on Gaza through the Jewish Chronicle.
