What’s it like to cease to exist? To have all influence in what we call ‘existence’ made null to the ever encompassing void.

Is it to have all recollection of oneself put to naught? Or are the very memories of existing embedded in the very steps ones took… the very SOULS ones met?

Indeed. To truly forget is to change the very fabric of reality itself.

AKA: What if Gaster falling into the Void did more than just make everyone forget?

Okay so I wanted to get out a basic overview of the plot of my au finally!!

So here is some context:

The basic opening premise is that when Gaster fell into the void along with his followers during the core incident, it changed the SOULS of the monsters in their lives.

This is based on the fact that monster souls are weaker than humans and their bodies are made of magic, therefore easier to mold and change (Of course there are some exceptions ;))

For example Undyne’s species is no longer just a fish monster, but based off of the blue lionfish like so:

(Yes Undyne will have glowing stripes)

This also means in my story that her attack patterns are different. For example, her magic spears are like Lion Fish barbs. These have poison that affects the person she hits with it.

Most personalities aren’t changed in the moment, and some are affected more than others, but overtime the smallest difference can change things in rather… unexpected ways.

The reason I made this au is because I really wanted to be creative and fun with it. I wanted to make an au that focuses in depth on many characters!! Hell, even the Dummy from the ruins has a special role in it!

Anyways, I’d just like to invite anyone to ask about my au, because I am dying to show all the ideas I have ^^`

Woah...I know I say it a lot but... I'm super happy... A year ago I returned to working on this AU, in October actually!! So it really was a year ago :0! And since then, this account has grown SO MUCH! When I returned I was at 600 followers and now we're here AND THE COMIC IS ACTUALLY REAL! IT'S NOT JUST AN IDEA ANYMORE!! WOAH.... The Thinker (G Follower 1): Comes up with new solutions and workarounds for experiments. They have a tendency to overthink.

The Beholder (G Follower 2): Observes experiments from up close and writes reports with his notes. Has a tendency to stare (like cats do) or make blunt/rude observations. Also rhymes.

The Examiner (G Follower 3): Scans research material and books to find errors + set them up for approval. He has a tendency to go overboard and end up redacting important stuff.

The Seeker (G Follower 4/Clam Goner): In charge of exploring the DEPTHS, cataloguing its creatures and sending back information to the NIHILAB. She has a tendency to be factual and cryptic. Prefers to work as a lone wolf.

so i was taking a stroll through the "papyrus is gaster" tag and decided there wasnt nearly enough so i made this little experiment

(also the implications of papyrus simultaneously the knight and gaster are going to be my life blood for the next month👍)
