Review:  Across Space and Time (Tales from the Tarot novel) by Kit Barrie
Rating: 4 Across Space and Time is Kit Barrie’s historical horror romance thriller. It’s a part of the fabulous multi-author Tales from the Tarot series which includes such elements as a mystical place called The Magic Shop with its eerie ever present, The Owner, covers  which have a particular tarot card on them that relates to the story, and definitely forwards and warnings that should be…

Murder at Spindle Manor
After a long time, I’m back with a review of Murder at Spindle Manor by Morgan Stang. This is a book that I went into with high expectations because after that cover and that blurb, how can you NOT? I am happy to say that this book lived up to every one of those expectations. The world building is something I found very unique and I absolutely loved it. The MC, Isabeau Agarwal, is a Huntress,…

Spirit Guide by Byrd Nash
Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries #3
Elinor Chalamet has her hands full training her new apprentice when Tristan Fontaine shows up with a friend who is seeking his daughter. With the skills she has learned when trained by the Morpheus Society she searches for Ebbe, works to improve Twyla’s paranormal abilities, and finds herself busy in the beyond as well as in the mundane world. Great addition to the series.
 What I liked:
* Elinor: strong, dedicated, skilled in her craft, a bit impatient, seeking the murderer of her father, curious, protective, wily, attracted to Tristan
* Tristan: Duke, works for the king, strong, intelligent, good friend, focused, ruthless when necessary, loyal, attracted to Elinor
* Twyla: young, a bit awkward and clumsy, seems a bit scatter brained, improves with guidance, look forward to hearing more about her
* Seeing some of the characters from previous stories: Charlotte, Marcus, Anne-Marie
* The way the story moved between planes and what happened
* That the mystery was solved, and the evil person dealt with
* The lead into the next novella
 What I didn’t like
* Who and what I was meant not to like: Parnell Lafayette, the serial killer Ghost, and what was being done to young women for nefarious purposes
* Not really a dislike BUT would like to see the relationship between Elinor and Tristan move forward and also find out who killed Elinor’s father…I am sure it will all be revealed eventually.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and BookSirens for the ARC – This is my honest review.
 4-5 Stars
    BLURB
Are missing girls linked to a mysterious séance where ghosts become real? When a nobleman’s daughter goes missing, Elinor Chalamet and Tristain Fontaine, the Duke de Archambeau, must work together to discover who has kidnapped her and why. Saddled with a bumbling apprentice, a drunk soldier, and a prickly nobleman who won’t explain why he hasn’t paid a proper call, Elinor must decide if the Society is hiding something from her. When the investigation reveals a connection to an old rival, she finds herself going it alone, something Tristan had demanded she not do. Will her dance with ghosts be a permanent arrangement? And when Tristan Fontaine discovers her missing, who will be able to face his wrath? Elinor Chalamet uses her wits and her ghost-talking skills to hunt for her father’s killer in Alenbonné, a coastal city where ghosts walk at all hours. The third of a six-part gaslamp fantasy ghost mystery series featuring a Sherlock Holmes-like female character in a slow burn romance. _____________________________________________ A six part novella series for lovers of Gaslamp fantasy #1 Ghost Talker #2 Delicious Death #3 Spirit Guide #4 Gray Lady #5 Underground Haunt #6 Ghastly Mistake

Title: Death at the Dionysus Club Series: Lynes & Mathey: Book Two Authors: Melissa Scott and Amy Griswold Publisher: Queen of Swords Press Length: 359 Pages Category: Murder Mystery, Gaslamp Fantasy Rating: 4 Stars At a Glance: There were moments in this book where I imagined the authors could have been inspired by Lewis Carroll. There are some “down the rabbit hole” moments as well as riddles…

The Reanimator's Soul Cover Reveal
The grand event has finally arrived! Today is the cover reveal for THE REANIMATOR'S SOUL. Click the link to see the amazing work Crowglass Design created for it.
I have been sitting on this cover for a few weeks now, and I am SO excited to share it with you. Once again, I worked with Crowglass Design to create the perfect cover for Oliver and Felipe’s next adventure. I thought book one was the best cover I’ve ever seen, but book two upped the ante. It also fits perfectly with what happens in this book, but I can’t give it away. If you haven’t read book…

Hunger Pangs: True Love Bites
Tumblr media
In a world of dwindling hope, love has never mattered more...
Captain Nathan J. Northland had no idea what to expect when he returned home to Lorehaven injured from war, but it certainly wasn’t to find himself posted on an island full of vampires. An island whose local vampire dandy lord causes Nathan to feel strange things he’d never felt before. Particularly about fangs.
When Vlad Blutstein agreed to hire Nathan as Captain of the Eyrie Guard, he hadn’t been sure what to expect either, but it certainly hadn’t been to fall in love with a disabled werewolf. However Vlad has fallen and fallen hard, and that’s the problem.
Torn by their allegiances–to family, to duty, and the age-old enmity between vampires and werewolves–the pair find themselves in a difficult situation: to love where the heart wants or to follow where expectation demands.
The situation is complicated further when a mysterious and beguiling figure known only as Lady Ursula crashes into their lives, bringing with her dark omens of death, doom, and destruction in her wake.
And a desperate plea for help neither of them can ignore.
Hunger Pangs: True Love Bites by Joy Demorra is a queer, paranormal, gaslamp fantasy romance novel featuring enchanted forests, gothic castles, and just a smidge of industrial coal dust, and is the first book of the Hunger Pangs slow-burn polyamorous romance series. Join Vlad, Nathan, and Ursula as they navigate a magical world torn asunder war and politics as they work to restore balance to the world and find love along the way. Book one is available now in ebook, paperback, and audio.
