In my bots vs beasts tfa AU there would be one scene to show how the leader of the main Predacon team, Galvatron, is different from TFA Megatron. He would be fighting with Optimus and they would crash though a building in front of a group of humans. Galvatron would look at them and make a “shoo shoo” motion with one of his hands. They then run off and he gets back to fighting Optimus.
Okay that's hilarious, so he's a little more sillygoofy than tfa Meggsie (makes sense because Galvatron)

Been thinking about that matrix ask where it makes Optimus want to get bred... and I realised the havoc it'd wreck with Rodimus and his farrrrrr smaller impulse control. That matrix is gonna get real happy, real quick (even if Rodimus ends up breeding with someone he really shouldn't - your choice of villain)
oh hell yes. villain of my choice? well then, let's talk G1. Rodimus letting Galvatron absolutely ruin his pussy. Maybe he ended up in a hand to hand brawl with Galvatron and the matrix just burst with joy sensing another mech on top of him. Which is very bad for Rodimus because Galvatron is crazy and literally on top of him, but also very good for Rodimus, because the matrix has been itching intensely within his chassis since he took it on and he’s pretty sure it has been making him more and more horny as time passed on. He’s been having these fantasies that never before graced his mind. If the click of his panels opening is anything to go off of, the matrix is very, very happy with the way things are going. And to be honest? Rodimus is kind of happy too. He’s just been so horny.
Galvatron probably doesn’t think much of it and immediately starts fucking him. He’s probably gloating the entire time, which Rodimus doesn’t really like, but he’s too focused on getting his valve pounded to be criticizing Galvatron’s dirty talk. He’s not much better, eventually shamelessly begging to be filled, and it might not all be the matrix talking.
Rodimus managing to get the upper hand in the end and getting out of Galvatron’s grip, with a now extremely joyous matrix buzzing in his chassis, sending positive vibes to his spark as it immediately begins creating a newspark out of all the coding information Galvatron pumped into him… I wonder what he would tell the others? That the matrix made him do it? Is that even what happened? Either way, he’s now definitely sparked and he can’t find it in him to be upset. Seeing his belly swell and grow makes him feel so damn good.
Then Galvatron’s baby is born and it is very clearly Galvatron’s baby. And also Rodimus wants another. The matrix. The matrix wants another.

So I’m now aware of EarthSpark rumors of a major character dying in the final episodes, and for whatever reason TFW2005 insists in their speculation it’s gonna be Optimus so Twitch gets the Matrix.
-rubs temples in confusion and annoyance-
Ok so a few things.
How the slag does that make any sense? Optimus is barely a character in EarthSpark, the show treats Megatron more as the hero. The way the show treats Optimus so poorly, I think if they could get away with it, Dot would be partying like Squidward at the mere idea of Optimus dying.
My point being they offer no emotional reason or investment for this Optimus dying. TFA gave a more emotional punch for its Optimus dying and he only stayed dead for a few seconds.
Two, and this is a more silly one, but how would the Matrix even fit inside Twitch’s chest? I’m pretty sure Twitch is about the same size AS the Matrix itself, unless the MacGuffin can size change? I don’t remember if that’s ever been a thing actually. For that matter does it even make sense for Twitch to get the Matrix? Having the Matrix typically means you’re the leader of ALL Transformers (but specifically Autobots in war time). I don’t think Twitch wants that or ever had a desire for that. Nor does it really make sense to give her the Matrix simply to make her leader of the Terrans, when she and Robbie seem to take turns. … Admittedly Robbie is more the leader than she is during S2, so shouldn’t Robbie get the Matrix by that logic?
Basically this but with Robbie instead of Hawk.
It would arguably make more sense if the Terrans were to have their own Matrix, they would’ve gotten a Terran Matrix of Bonds or some such. Presumably created from the Emberstone itself similar to the TFA Allspark getting a G1 Matrix container.
There’s also the Mini-Con Matrix from Dreamwave Armada.
Although that wasn’t a symbol of leadership but a MacGuffin designed to kill Unicron by the dead Mini-Cons of another universe. Plus the more I think of it, the Cyber Sleeves are a sort of Matrix in their own right, so I guess Robbie did get the Matrix after all….!
On a related note, they tried a similar idea in Cyberverse, with Robo-Robotnik and normal Megatron both being able to use the Autobot Matrix.
Admittedly they shouldn’t be able to because even Autobot Megatron couldn’t use the Matrix without Rodimus Prime helping him in IDW. And the last time otherwise in G1 saw Galvatron being unable to use it in his cannon, and Scourge became this.
So this leads into who is more thematically appropriate: Megatron.
He is basically all but the Autobot leader in the eyes of the writers, and the best character ever in that same regard. There’s far more emotional attachment by comparison to Optimus too; Megatron’s role, similar to his IDW self, is about redemption, second chances, trying to keep the next generation from making his same mistakes, & if necessary dying for his found family. That would be a more thematic end for Megatron, dying for his sins, but fully redeemed in protecting the Terrans and Maltos against… I would assume the Quintessons.
Plus, let’s be honest, if someone were to get the Matrix after Optimus, it’d more than likely be Megatron due to the staff’s bias towards him and their clear distain of Optimus. Wouldn’t that be something, Megatron basically “wins” by being good and inheriting the Matrix to lead Cybertron with the Terrans as his cheer leaders and angels to keep him on the straight and narrow.
Still regarding the Matrix, Hasbro continues to be weird about someone becoming Prime after Optimus, and a new Megatronus Prime, Twitchimus Prime or Maltous Prime probably wouldn’t fly with Hasbro if we still can’t get a proper Rodimus Prime in cartoons that isn’t a butt monkey. -side eyes Prime Wars in particular-

For the hive au, is a mostly peaceful compared to the OG lore? Is there crime and civil unrest? Whether between the courts or factions or etc
In the immediate area of Hive Iacon (and Megatron’s remaining Swarm loyalists who have come to stay), conflict is quite low now that Megatron and Optimus have settled things between them and Megatron has been appointed Lord Protector of the Hive. They have joined together out of a need for shared resources and, on Optimus’ part, an urging from the Matrix and his inner court to secure his position as the new Prime (potential-to-be Magnus) of the Hive. As Sentinel had any other Prime potentiates killed before they could emerge from their second cocoons, and then fell to sickness, Optimus was in a very precarious situation that could have led to Iacon facing colony collapse or poaching from other Hives— prior to becoming more isolationist under Nova Prime and Sentinel Prime, Iacon had long been held in high regard for their gifted magic adepts and skillful healers (as well as a carefully maintained library due to the work of elder Alpha Trion) and many would be glad to take them and their knowledge in, should their community bonds crumble.
Tensions had been very high between Iacon and the Swarm in the past under Sentinel Prime’s leadership, with Sentinel as the aggressor rather than Megatron— for the most part Megatron had been very, very busy trying to quell infighting and claw back territory after his successful coup and duel to the death against Megazarak, the former leader of the Swarm and his and Galvatron’s sire. (Galvatron had previously been excommunicated and thrown out into the wastes of the Kaoni desert for her own attempt on Megazarak in Megatron’s grubhood, as she was considered mad due to her Seer abilities— the Swarm has a long history of distrust and disbelief in such things— and it would have been ‘dishonorable’ for Megazarak to kill her because of her insanity.) At current time the Swarm exists in name only; there are several different troupes and factions within that have splintered away for various reasons since that clash between Megatron and Megazarak, and the Swarm’s once ironclad grip on the Tarnish mountain range and surrounding territory (stretching from the Kaoni desert to roughly west of Tesarus) has been thoroughly broken, leading to infighting, banditry, and other conflicts.
Notable among these splintered groups are the Wyld Hunt as led by Tarn, the bastard offspring of Megatron, and Overlord’s strange wandering Circus. There’s also a bunch of idiots calling themselves the Scavengers? We don’t know what their deal is, but they’re human friendly and pretty bad at being mercenaries.
The Order of the Path are wandering pathguides and wayfinders of all sorts, who travel among various Hives and settlements to share news and, occasionally, guard caravans of travelers. Drift is one such pathguide, and travels between Iacon and Caminus regularly. Beyond the threat of ambush and bandits for large groups of travelers, there are large Voiceless (nonsentient) predators to contend with, ranging from those who are opportunistic to those who specifically predate on Fae and their kin.
There’s also the Court of Vos, which is constantly in conflict with itself, everyone around it, anyone who’s ever been tangentially involved, and probably you as well just because. Vos itself sounds constantly as if it is in argument with itself, given the concentration of the wasp population within. You will hear the buzzing before you even realize you’re within fighting distance.
The Coastal fae and their kith have very loose arrangements with each other and are typically solitary or form small pods with poorly defined territory claims. When conflict arises (which rarely occurs, as the beach dwellers and cave-lurks keep to themselves), issues are brought to Shockwave to mediate, as all are in agreement that Shockwave is the most impartial and sensible. This has nothing to do with the fact that he is also the largest. We swear.
As for the Kaon Market, it’s only a crime if you get caught. Don’t get caught.

OKAY movie was really really good. I do have a couple minor critiques and general thoughts below; no real order just whatever I happen to remember wanting to mention
would it have killed them to have Alpha Trion just say "No child of Primus is born without a T-cog." It would've been significantly less clunky than "son or daughter" and more inclusive; it felt like a step backwards from Earthspark :/
I woulda liked to get to know the Iacon High Guard a bit more, we really didn't get much time with them. We coulda had a bit of a teaser of them by having them attack the train that OP et al. were on, which would also show that they sabotage Sentinel
that said I think the whole "we follow the strongest bot" thing and having Starscream actively push Megatron to fight him harder was a nice change of pace from the "Megatron abuses Starscream" narratives that have kinda been the norm since ...Aligned I guess? it does feel like that means they shoulda followed Optimus at the end since he clearly defeated Megatron, but it doesn't really bother me that much
also it's only been 50 "cycles" since the Primes went offline??? surely SOMEONE besides the High Guard would remember how things used to be
It's interesting that the Primes have been kind of downgraded from being made to fight against Unicron to being made to fight Quintessons, but hey I'm all for chucking the CoP stuff out lmao
speaking of chucking stuff — I don't think they ever mentioned an AllSpark. The Matrix of Leadership was what sort of healed Cybertron instead, which was interesting.
did the scene from the trailer where Megatron looked particularly purple get cut or did I just not notice it
using Airachnid's memory to transmit the incriminating evidence kinda felt like it came from nowhere? like yeah she "sees everything" but the idea of being able to just.....wave her head over a table or st didn't have any kind of setup
the synchronized Creation of both Megatron and Optimus. chef's kiss, perfection, and I'm pretty sure Primus pulling in Orion to transform him into Optimus was staged more or less the same as the scene where Unicron rebuilds Megatron into Galvatron in the '86 movie? very neat detail if true. anyway people in the theater were cheering when Optimus flew back out to fight Megs.
ough. the portrayal of the MegOp friendship and build up to enemity was sooooooooo good. was NOT expecting Megatron to actually shoot Optimus and OUGH GOING FROM "WHY DID YOU DO THAT" TO "I'M DONE SAVING YOU." SCREAMING, CRYING, ETC.
I kinda thought the Quintessons would play a bigger role in the movie, lmao. guess that's potential sequel material? sidenote but I think it would be very funny if they just called it Transformers: Two
establishing Bee as a guy who's been working a shitty job alone for who knows how long I think made him significantly less annoying then I probably would've found him otherwise. I don't think he was THAT bad but. yeah
ok that bit near the start of the movie where OP is like "I feel like I could drill down far enough to touch Primus himself!" followed by Elita saying "You don't have the touch OR the power" made literally no sense. it was very obviously just "hey y'all remember the '86 movie?"
I kinda thought Megatron was going to do a whole "You are being deceived" speech to the masses but sadly no 😔

A pretty interesting Earthspark theory I have come across is one that states that Mandroid, in his year long space bridge journey came across Unicron at one point, and because of this will become Galvatron in the future, instead of Megatron becoming Galvatron.
It would be interesting given that we really don't know anything besides the fact that Mandroid got a new mech body, made friends with the Sharkticons and maybe fought the Quintessons. There's a good deal of stuff that probably happened from the time he stepped into the space bridge till the time he jumped out of it.

Transformers
War For Cybertron
Kingdom
Leader Class
Galvatron
by Hasbro (2021)
First post of 2024, and timeline-wise I’m still posting figures that I got in 2021. Yea, that’s on brand for me...
I have to say this was the luckiest of breaks for me (at the time, before he could be found everywhere during Legacy).
I was out at a Target on 11-20-21, shopping with my girlfriend when I stumbled upon two on the shelf. I and just about everyone else has been looking for Kingdom Galvatron for months and I suppose the scalpers weren’t paying any attention that day.
I feel like it’s taken me forever to finally get to Galvatron. I’ve said this in the past I like to post my figures in the order of which I buy then, and since I’ve kind of been on hiatus I guess it has taken forever.
Collector’s Card:
I’ll be honest here; I don’t remember what card came packaged with Galvatron, but I do remember being underwhelmed, which means it was probably either another Dinobot or a Blackarachnia.
I would have preferred each Kingdom character getting their own card...
Canon Mode:
We all know that classic purple cannon.
This is a pretty heft laser cannon. It’s not quite show accurate to the old G1 cartoon or toy design, but the most important elements are still there, and there’s lots of sculpted detail.
So fun fact: when I was a kid I though Galvatron was an oil tank because my childhood home was heated by oil and a big tank in the basement, and that was the only thing I could equate to Galvatron.
Comparing Kingdom Galvatron to the Titans Return version.
Transformation:
Transformation is actually really fun. It did take me a little bit of getting used to, but I thought it was satisfying.
Robot Mode:
Galvatron’s robot mode is such a fun figure!
He stands well, he poses well and I love that head sculpt. My ONLY complaint is that the 5mm port on the arm cannon is a little loose so it doesn’t always hold its position.
Of course the laser cannon is blast compatible.
Accessories:
Galvatron’s accessories are his cannon (in two parts), Matrix & chain necklace, and two hand guns which can combine into one.
The Matrix is the same used for Earthrise Optimus & Kingdom Rodimus. Hasbro’s really getting some mileage out of this one piece.
If you pay close attention you might notice that the guns resemble Galvatron’s space ship in the 1986 movie.
The guns can be stored on his back in two different ways.
Final Thoughts:
Kingdom Galvatron is such a cool figure. He’s fairly common to find now for the Legacy toyline, but back in 2021 it wasn’t easy tracking one down.
I’m not a big fan of the two hand guns, but I could always give them to someone else.
At this point I’m pretty sure we’ll be getting a Studio Series 86 Galvatron, eventually, but this guy is pretty darn close to it I’m betting the 86 one will be a retool of this guy.

Oooh, just go for any and all timelines you'd find interesting for the son-in-law ask? I'd love to hear any of them!
I'll just go down the line then!! :D
So, timeline 1 is canon: Galvatron and Terminus are dead long, long before Megatronus ever even meets Orion Pax. Terminus dies from infection after losing his legs in a mining accident, and Galvatron dies in the gladiator pits after a rigged match.
Timeline 2, the Destructicon timeline, Megatron dies when he's the equivalent of like. 2 months old. So that's out
Timeline 3, the self imposed exodus. Because the warframes abandoned cybertron about a 100 million years ago, Sentinel Prime was never assassin mated: i.e. he's still alive and kicking so Orion isn't ever selected for Primehood. In this one, he and Megatron don't meet until they're both far, far into adulthood--roughly where the first season of Transformers Prime starts--and ol Megs is actually in a committed relationship with someone else. Any guesses as to whom? (It's not Soundwave, though they did date for quite awhile)
Timeline 4 is where we actually get our first look at Megop! Big bad is still the corrupt Primacy and the Senate, so while Orion may never become the Prime in name, he's still a beloved leader of the resistance. Except this time 🤭 he and Megatron are on the same side, leading together as one. In this timeline, Galvatron and Terminus fled from Kaon with their sparkling after being warned of the horrible future by Galvatron-2: Megatronus and Orion met when they were children, and were close friends all while growing up. To be honest, those two were the absolute last ones to figure out they were in love: everyone and their carrier and also their turbohound knew they were going to end up together. In TL4, Galvatron and Terminus have watched Orion grow up alongside their son and are very fond of him: they're perfectly supportive of their relationship and probably also had a bet going on about how long it would take for them to realize their feelings.
Now, timeline 5... here's where we get into the really complicated stuff. In this one, the Senatorial system is abolished before war can ever break out, and that includes the Prime as a figurehead. This is a timeline where all of the civil rights issues are solved peacefully: the Matrix is returned to the gods' Acolytes for safe keeping as a holy relic, and as there's no war nor anymore Primal figurehead, the Matrix isn't called upon to take a new host.
Orion and Megatron meet when they're teenagers-to-young adults, and this is the one with the rapunzel-esque situation for Megatron. Except instead of a tower, he's kept secluded within the walls of Iacon's main Temple of Primus (it makes sense it context I swear, but that's a whole other post of its own). Galvatron keeps him confined out of fear for his life: he's lived through so many lives and has been visited by his previous selves so often it's made him incredibly paranoid and obsessive. Isolation is his greatest love: keep Megatronus away from anything and anyone that could hurt him, sequestered in one of the safest buildings on the planet. As a holy place of worship and frequented by the Chosen Ones of the gods (aka the Acolytes) the Temple is under constant watch from the Primal Vanguard. No one gets in if they're not supposed to be there. It's safe. Megatronus has never set foot outside since being brought in as a sparkling and is extremely sheltered: cue Orion getting dragged there against his will for a research project and falling helm over pedes for this pretty holy virgin type.
...Again. I promise you it makes sense in context. I'll sexualize my religious trauma as much as I want tyvm lmfao 😂
ANYWAY. The first time Galvatron meets Orion it's hate at first sight: via several little misunderstandings he thinks Orion is an invader in the Temple trying to hurt his only child and kinda goes ballistic. Even after everything has settled down and he's knows Megatron is safe, he still despises him. He wants the little upstart to stay far, far away from his baby. Wants everyone to stay away from his baby, really. No one is safe. No one can be trusted. It takes a long, long time for him to be even slightly ok with Orion's presence, and even longer for him to accept it when a relationship does bloom between them.
Terminus, on the other servo, quietly adores Orion. Megatronus really only has one friend growing up in the Temple: the only son of a rather religious Senator, little Shockwave. But he can't visit often so their boy rarely gets to speak with peers his age, and it makes him happy to see Megatronus interacting with another youngling. Orion is polite and sweet and genuinely a good kid, seeing them spend time together warms his old spark. He's really not at all surprised when Orion presents his first courting gift, and gives the young mech his blessing to pursue his only child.
Timeline 6 diverges pretty late and much of TL5's canon carries over. This timeline split comes when they're already married adults, so there's no change there
Timeline 7 is just. Universal oblivion: there is no more universe. So uh... moot point
I hope you enjoyed this! I hope I answered your question ok. I know I didn't exactly touch on High Lord Protector stuff, but honestly it doesn't ever really crop up in Hindsight. I can say, independent of timelines and individual canons, they'd be very proud to see their son ascend to such a position, but would also be scared to death. That's such a big change, after all! And a dangerous position to take on 🥺 they worry about their baby

Probably a basic option, but Megatron for the character ask?
i think ur actually one of the few ppl whove sent me megs for an ask meme HAHA
• First impression
i have no idea! like i watched the transformers movie a lot as a kid but i cant really remember how i actually felt about anyone. lol. i was somewhat confused by galvatron for a while as in i uh. got em mixed up a lot b4 i got back into the series lol
•Impression now
autism brain has kicked in 👍 hes one of my favorite guys. i think he has some interesting quirks for being, at his core, a silly 80s cartoon villian...he almost has dimensions to his personality. and i wont go off on a tangent about it. i wont.
anyway marvel megatron has left an impression on me by being a neurotic weirdo. mmmm earthspark megatron is cool. i think uh. my favorite megatrons are just the lame old guys. shout out to cyberverse n prime wars. real ones know.
•Favorite moment
i dont knooooow ^__^ heres a scene from marvel that i think about sometimes. smooth metal skin. why did they write that. (context: prime is dead again and megatron doesnt believe it bc he didnt kill him himself.) added another image from the comic to make the post less ginormous on mobile. yippey.
•Idea for a story
um i guess this counts as an idea. i have a mostly (?) written fic about megatron being a medical freak of nature. hes just been giving himself strange and increasingly dangerous patch jobs for years bc he wont let any medics near him. admittedly its more of a ratchet and hook fic (bonding by patching up a warlord!) but hes there too. good luck big guy.
•Unpopular opinion
people who hc megatron as dark and sexy are dead wrong in my humble opinion. the man has zero game. he is not a svelte and suave character. hes got an absence of rizz. look at me. like im not ur dad, live ur truth, but cmon.
•Favorite relationship
im primus' stupidest megop warrior. also i like megasound. he has two hands.
•Favorite headcanon
hes a pretty good mechanic i think. at least in g1. he seems capable of just like...building guys. in one episode its said he builds the constructicons. this would not be revisited. but i remember. i remember those weird ass prime clones too.
#its been a while since ive shamelessly advertised ye olde megop server. i should do that again sometime#THANKS FOR THE ASK. (stage bow) love having an excuse 2 talk about ol buckethead#megatron

1. someone they fear
8. someone they view as a role model
:: Haven't got many people to fear, these days. I don't think there's someone out there that makes me scared. You'd expect me to say, like, Galvatron, but I'm not scared of him. Of what he's capable of? Maybe. But he's pretty silly, nowadays. And I don't think Unicron's ever goin' to be a threat again, not when we have the Matrix. ::
:: Huh. A bit of rambling. I really don't think I'm particularly scared of anyone. Fearless leader syndrome, or whatever stupid thing Springer would say. ::
:: I've got a bunch. You'd probably think it's Optimus, and hey, he's up there! But, hm. Kup's the one who's been with me the longest. It's one thing to be commanded by a legend you have never seen before, and it's another completely different thing to be lead by someone who you know for a fact is real. Kup's opinion gets to me more than anything Prime's got to say. ::

Okay thinking about TFE Galvatron instead. He's basically a teenager doing teenager things, but Megatron didn't want him at the front. He'd probably get himself killed.
Then I thought, instead of doing Galvatron/Rodimus, how about Rodimus being his Nemesis? Like that one UM/Rodimus fic.
Then he can be in a relationship with his triad and still have an important bond with Rodimus <3 It could also be pretty hilarious.
"But, caaaarrier, you can't date the carrier of my Nemesis!!"
That would be hilarious yes
Petty nemesis-ship between them and they've got so many opinions about each other
Galvatron so desperately wants to Decepticon but alas he must be hidden away until not until not

Trick or treat! (Early but I wanna play)
Here's an old TF G1 S3 WIP. ETA: No fertile or viable eggs are harmed in this wip.
"Does he eat your eggs?" Cyclonus asked, as if it were a normal question.
And maybe it was. Ultra Magnus didn't make a habit of talking to Decepticons. Not like this, anyway, just sitting together and talking while they waited for Cyclonus' self-repair to work enough for them to get off this asteroid.
And it wasn't weird exactly that Cyclonus was thinking of food, not the way he'd bolted down Magnus' emergency energon stores and was still licking at his own lips and claws in the hopes that some more remained there.
Decepticons were hungry. That was normal, even if nothing else about Cyclonus was normal for a Decepticon.
Cyclonus was still looking at Ultra Magnus as though he expected an answer. Magnus played the question back in his processor. "He" would usually be Galvatron, but since Cyclonus was asking about him, he probably meant -- "Rodimus Prime?" Ultra Magnus asked. "Why?"
Magnus could only picture the times Rodimus -- well, Hot Rod, really -- had made earth animal eggs for Daniel. It had been a bit of a mess but enough of them had come out edible for the tiny boy.
"Of course," Cyclonus said. "Who else? You wouldn't…." Cyclonus gave Magnus a sidelong look, the look he got when he seemed to remember that a warrior Magnus might be, he was still an Autobot "-- distribute them to the troops?" Cyclonus sounded extremely doubtful about this idea. "…Give them to the humans?"
Ultra Magnus shivered. He didn't think Cyclonus was referring to eggs laid by earth creatures, or even by the non-sentient fauna of Cybertron or Chaar. "I don't lay eggs." Hadn't in a long time, anyway. That part of his frame had been deactivated and removed early in the Great War.
But then, Cyclonus hadn't lived through the war. As mature as he seemed, Cyclonus was younger than Daniel.
"Oh." Cyclonus looked Ultra Magnus over, searchingly. "Do Autobots just not? Or does your Lord not fertilize you enough?"
"No!" Magnus sputtered. "I -- Rodimus -- he's not a Lord, Cyclonus, stop calling him that." He didn't even know where to start with Cyclonus' other assumptions about his relationship with the Prime. Didn't want to start, since he's sure it would result in getting way more information than he needed about Cyclonus' relationship with Galvatron.
"Your Prime," Cyclonus said, in a tone that suggested he might have stern words with the Prime in question about not fertilizing Ultra Magnus enough, or whatever else it was that Cyclonus believed a proper leader should be doing. "Why don't you lay eggs? I do. Scourge does. Sweep eggs are pretty good, but Galvatron says he likes mine even better," Cyclonus sat up taller and preened a little, clearly proud of producing delicious eggs.
"I --" Magnus was once again at a loss. "I had that turned off, millions of years ago. I can show you the coding if you like, it's not difficult to turn it off temporarily, although you'd need a medic for the surgery to make it permanent."
Cyclonus stared at him, first in horror, than in pity. His optics focused on Magnus' crotch in a way that made Magnus decidedly uncomfortable. "No! I'm sure you had a good reason for allowing that to happen, but never." Cyclonus' thighs pressed together hard enough to send soundwaves even through the asteroid's negligible atmosphere.
"It doesn't interfere with functioning," Magnus said defensively, and felt ridiculous. He might as well tell Cyclonus his spike worked just fine, thank you!
Cyclonus gave him a pitying look and stretched out his wings carefully. "I should be able to get us to the nearest neutral planet now." He backed away from Magnus a few yards and transformed into spacejet mode -- not the large jet mode he used to carry Galvatron, the mode that was about the same as Cyclonus' root mode. "Get on, hold tight, and don't try to open the cockpit." Cyclonus commanded.
"Thank you for the lift," Magnus said as he settled himself lying on top of Cyclonus' body, holding on as firmly as he could.
"A fair exchange for the energon," Cyclonus replied, and then there was nothing but engines and the vastness of space.
*****
"Any intelligence?" Rodimus asked.
Ultra Magnus shook his head. "Nothing useful. Cyclonus was willing to carrying me off the asteroid even after he'd taken my energon, but that kind of honor never lasts long when he's with the others."
Rodimus sighed. "With Galvatron, you mean."
Magnus shrugged. "He's got to save face with the other Decepticons, but yes, Galvatron is always the higher priority where Cyclonus is concerned." He looked down and away, awkwardly.
"Anything else?" Rodimus spoke softly, in that 'asking as a friend, not a Prime' voice he'd been learning to use lately.
Magnus shrugged again, awkward. It wasn't as though Cyclonus would have told him something and expected him to conceal it from Rodimus. "He's been producing eggs regularly. Scourge, too, and maybe also the rest of the Sweeps.
"Eggs?" Rodimus' optics had gone bright and he was leaning closer to Ultra Magnus. "We haven't had any reports of Decepticon hatchlings…." Rodimus looked sad, now, and Ultra Magnus started to regret having brought it up. He knew how Rodimus was about children -- any sort of children.
"Uh, yeah. Galvatron's been eating the eggs, apparently. Well, Cyclonus', Cyclonus mentioned he'd eaten some of Scourges -- you know how hungry the Decepticons are." Magnus shifted uncomfortably. He wasn't equipped for this sort of conversation, neither of them were, but they were the ones who had lived.
Rodimus looked stricken, one hand on his own belly, right where his egg chamber would have been -- would be? Magnus wasn't sure if Hot Rod had had the surgery, and of course Rodimus Prime was another matter -- his optics a wetter shade of blue. "They're eating eggs?"
Magnus reached out an arm awkwardly, halfway between offering a hug and trying to pat the Prime on the shoulder. He really wasn't equipped for this. "Yes. They almost certainly don't have the energy to hatch them anyway, never mind the energon and materials necessary to raise them up to Decepticon warriors." Because that was what they would be, of course. Magnus couldn't forget that any more than Rodimus could avoid picturing inert eggs as cute babies. It was good the Decepticons lacked the resources to reproduce themselves. "I offered Cyclonus the suppresant code."
"Did he take it?" Rodimus stepped forward into Magnus' half-embrace. Magnus tried to pat Rodimus' back in a reassuring manner -- he was never quite sure whether to try to put his hand on the spoiler or under it, or maybe below it? He settled for petting carefully at the bottom of the center shaft.
"No, he refused." Magnus watched carefully for Rodimus' reaction, but it was hard to tell how he took this piece of information. The Prime still seemed distressed. He patted Rodimus' back some more. "I'm not sure if Cyclonus understands what an egg is, really, other than something tasty to give Galvatron."
Rodimus laughed in the bitter way he did these days. He wrapped his arms around Magnus briefly, patted him on the back in return, and then stepped back out of reach, relieving Magnus of the connundrum of where to put his hands. "Maybe not. I can't imagine Unicron -- or any of the 'Cons -- ever gave him the 'your reproductive system and you' talk. Probably only ever got manuals for his weapons."
Magnus made himself chuckle -- it wasn't funny that Cyclonus had been deprived that way, but he knew when Rodimus was trying to lighten the mood.
Suddenly Rodimus asked, "Was he egg-heavy when you saw him?" All the sardonic humor was gone from his voice, the sad yearning back in force. Rodimus' hand had slid back to his belly, and his optics had slid down to look at Magnus' waist.
Magnus shrugged uncomfortably. "I don't know, Rodimus. I'm not a medic, and I don't have a lot of experience with egg-heavy mechs."
"Of course, yeah. Just wondering." Rodimus' hand moved away from his belly and his optics moved back up to focus on Magnus' face. "Some of the Paradronians have hatchlings," he said, wistful. "But the parents don't like me being near them. Something about having blown up their planet." He laughed bitterly again.
"You saved them from the Decepticons, Rodimus!" Magnus said, earnestly. In this, at least, he felt he was on firmer ground. "You did what you had to do, they'll realize that and warm up to you soon I'm sure."
Rodimus smiled, sincere but still sad. "Thanks, Magnus. I wish I had your confidence in me." He backed away a bit more until he was leaning on his cluttered desk. "Anything else to report?"
"Not about Cyclonus, but I've got a few things to share about Karkas III."
When the Autobots had cleaned up after Unicron and found themselves in near-undisputed possession of Cybertron, Rodimus Prime had gone to First Aid for a full medical scan.
"I want you to look at my reproductive system," Rodimus said, once they were in a private room together. "Unicron only KNOWS what the Matrix may have done to it."
"Of course," First Aid plugged into his medical port and got to work.
Rodimus watched anxiously.
Rodimus couldn't stop thinking about Cyclonus' eggs. He'd lie alone in his berth at night, hand on his empty belly, thinking about all those eggs. Eggs growing inside Cyclonus, nourished and fertilized by Galvatron. Eggs that would never get to hatch, or grow up.

I would just accept they’re not gonna make more EarthSpark anything after this batch.
Hasbro has laid off MORE staff, in particular John Warden, who they recently brought BACK into the TF division.
So yeah lots of layoffs and presumed restructuring, and it doesn’t appear toy sales are helping the TFONE film like it did TMNT Mutant Mayhem. Having just been at the store, the TFONE toys my way haven’t budged much, while the TMNTMM/ToTTMNT toys are pretty throughly picked clean (and reasonably priced). The only Hasbro toy I saw picked up was a Marvel Avengers toy of Iron Man and a jet he rides. The kid was very sweet and wanted that toy in particular.
So that begs the question what CyberWorld is supposed to look like.
All we know so far is Optimus, Mirage, Grimlock, Snarl, Galvatron, Sky-Byte and Scorponok are part of it, with an unidentified “Meg Bull” character who may or may not be Megatron.
EarthSpark tended to be supplemented by repurposed Cyberverse toys, a trend copied for other toys that fans have hated. It’s been speculated CyberWorld might be another retool/repaint line, a sort of modern day Machine Wars and (to a lesser extent) RiD01.
So with this in mind, what can we expect, if that’s indeed what they’re gonna do hypothetically.
I feel like it’s going to be picking and choosing from Cyberverse and EarthSpark.
Sky-Byte is easy enough, as his most recent appearance was Cyberverse.
Safe bet is one of these.
Grimlock was a “Chomp & Stomp”, so it’s probably this again.
Retooled/recolored to fit the CW design-kinda. But I suspect a regular toy will be based on these.
Snarl is probably the Cyberverse version.
Optimus might be a retool of one of his RotB Off Road toys.
It’s Mirage, Galvatron and Scorponok I’m not sure on.
Probably safe to assume an immediate kids toy is a recolor or retool of ROTB Mirage.
But supposed EarthSpark concept art suggests a more traditional G1 Mirage was considered, so on top of TFONE also having a G1 inspired Mirage, a toy based on this lad is probably more likely.
Some rumors suggest a Mirage based more on his DOTM design might be possible but I admit I’m not sure I believe that until I see it based on current events.
Scorponok is especially odd, because the only options kid wise are either the RiD15 version…
…or the RotB version…
…When I feel Hasbro might want a smaller version of the G1 Scorponok.
On top of it being an action gimmick I don’t think that’s been used before, he MIGHT be a new mold, or the previous two modified to fit the gimmick.
Galvatron is especially weird since his last kids show appearance I believe was Cybertron. And outside of his AoE design, there’s nothing to really work with.
Best guess, if it doesn’t have a Beast Mode, it’s probably going to be a retool of one of these two.
And I feel like a heavy retool of ES Megs would make a great Galvatron, but will they do that I have no idea. A popular theory is that because of the others having Beast Modes, that Galvatron could be based on BWII Galvatron.
I’m … skeptical on that, but that would be pretty cool if they managed it somehow. Galvatron getting love is still a plus no matter what.

So Weirrall, what is your view on the other Transformers Movies( anybody else can also answer)?
Weirrall:
To be honest, The events of the Tyrant cluster are quite enjoyable if you are a human watching it as fiction, but I have little idea on this timeline so I will be letting Baron Karza answer it.
Baron Karza:
Okay let get it over with this.
Transformers 1: I did enjoy that portion of the timeline, it could be seen in your world as a cornerstone for many movies in general in how it was animated.
Transformers ROTF: I did enjoy watching these vents of revenge of the fallen, Optimus death wasn't as sad as the one in the Primax universe where Transformers the movie took place. I also felt that the Fallen was pretty weak during the movie, he should have one shot Optimus but then again he was on life support.
Transformers DOTM: This movie felt like more like a conspiracy movie in terms of the Humans trying to undercover the Moon conspiracy. The final battle was quite epic as well.
Transformers AOE: I liked the design of the Dinobots as well and Galvatron being a human creation corrupted by Megatron is a fresh take on the character.
Transformers TLK: I actually liked The last knight, Cybertron actually felt like a threat coming to earth, the knights of Lacon also had good designs, However I did prefer Megatron old head then his TLK Head.
Bumblebee: For fans for the Primax cluster(G1 fans), Bumblebee would be one of the best tf movies to watch, it had good character development and had still had high stakes despite only being two enemies in the enter movie.
Transformers ROTB: Unicron actually felt more like the cosmic entity he is then the giant robot people insult him as. scourge was also a terrifying herald and the ending was quite a surprise as they throwned in a teaser for a G.I.Joe X Transformers movie.
Transformers the movie: This was probably the best transformers Movie yet, this is the only time Optimus prime death actually feels painful and it introduced many staple themes such as the Quintessons and Unicron.

I know you collect transformers. Do you have a “holy grail” or that one figure you desperately want?
For me it’s Alternity Banzaitron.
With "Holy Grail" you mean my most important figure, right? Well, I do have quite a few favourites, but the only ones that come close to "Holy Grail" status would probably be Primus and my little Legacy Hot Rod.
Primus, because he was a pretty cool flea market find. And tiny Legacy Hot Rod, because he somewhat was one of my first boys to join the family and he comes with me when I go to work.
Dinobot gets a honorary "Holy Grail" status, because he started my collection.
And a figure I really want to have would be Prime Ratchet. There's no specific reason behind this than his Prime version being the first one I saw. Although, a Flametoys Rodimus would also be awsome, but he can't be shipped to my country. T.T
I would also, kind of, want to have an Overlord, but only for the sole reason to call him mean names. Kinda like the thing I do with my Galvatron. ^^'

Name, Title: Megatron, Decepticon Warlord
Affilation: Decepticons
Spark Type: P.1% Megatronus (Split-Spark)
Alt: Cybertronian Tank
Weapon of Choice: Unique Ion Cannon, Pickaxe, War Axe
ID Number: 1/2d161984
Covenant Notes: The Warlord, killer of billions. According to historical documentation, it's Megatron (nee D-16) that we have to blame for the death of our homeworld. Hard to pinpoint the specifics on that, but I get the feeling it has to do with far too many bombs and an inferiority complex.
Trion says Megatron turned the Decepticons, once a band of upstarts bent on killing Senators and such, into a complete rebellion after he was scorned for the position of Prime. In favour of Optimus, of course. Hard to beat that!
Nowadays, he spends most of his time on colony-work and conquering other planets from the sidelines. He's still terrifying, of course, but he's... old. And tired.
He looks at me strangely sometimes.
Secrets, Lies, and Other Stuff:
Megatron, split-spark twin of Galvatron, started the rebellion with the focus of abolishing Functionism. His reasons vary greatly, of course, but a major point was the refusal from all medical centers to treat his sibling after a serious accident. Miners are disposable, after all. Terrible thing to tell someone with a pickaxe in hand.
Like his sibling, he's Combination-capable. With Soundwave, he forms Soundblaster Overlord; with Shockwave, Shockblaster Overlord. He has another combination partner but... maybe more on that some other day.
His gold cracks showed up a bit before Optimus' death, before a poorly-remembered attack by the Quintessions. Maybe after? Or during. Hard to say. Most just remember a horrible scream and a titan rising from the sunset.
Design Notes: Megatron takes inspiration from kintsugi, the method of repairing pottery with gold. Other motifs include ill-fitting armor, piecemeal sets, and someone who deeply needs more repairs. His limbs look almost like they could be popped off and reused on someone else.
Brief consideration for his cannon was something deeply broken and in constant need of repair. This was forgone as Shockwave, the designer, spends the series on the CSS Vos. He wouldn't let it break down, no matter how bad Megatron got after Optimus' death.
Maybe this is the first iteration of the cannon? It was experimental when first gifted, and probably not as pretty as Shockwave would have liked it to be.
