Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew 6:14-15
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Matthew 7:1
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Philippians 2:3-4
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you,
1 Thessalonians 4:11
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Ephesians 4:15
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Ephesians 4:29
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Nimrod
Likened to the bourgeoisie,
Peddler of the trinket truths,
He screams the most absurdity,
Founded on a pebble's root.
.
A tower set, to name himself,
Higher than the very God,
Beyond the reach of wave or sea,
While drowning in tyrannic sod.
.
We are the vast and mighty men,
Conquerors of dragon kind,
Saved from death to bite the hand,
As babblers of weakened mind.
.
We are the vast and mighty men,
Beyond the God who swept our dust,
To worship flesh who came before,
We are the flood's own impetus.
.
I am mighty, I am grand,
Proud of muddy bricks of man,
So weak to trust, strong in my lies,
Leading others to their demise.
.
Vengeance for the Devil's feast,
Heaven must approve my power,
The greatest height from mankind's least,
My Babylon became so dour.
.
A trinket peddler he lies at ends,
Words asunder, soul long defiled,
Noahic floods buried his sins,
His shovel beckoned, hate unbridled.

Gratitude: It's Nice to Receive It; It's Also Great to GIVE It
Why do some people show gratitude, while others don’t? We’ve probably all been thankful for something, and we’ve probably all experienced a lack of thankfulness, even when it was merited. There’s no formula for appropriate gratitude, but A.A. Milne was pretty close when he said, “Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.” Perhaps…

GALATIANS S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 1
Wednesday, 2/5/25
SCRIPTURE:
He gave Himself for our sins, so He could deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father. ~ Galatians 1:4 Am I trying to win over human beings or God?  Or am I trying to please people?  If I were still trying to please people, I wouldn’t be Christ’s slave. ~ Galatians 1:10
OBSERVATION:
Personalizing verse 4:
He gave Himself for my sins...
...so He could deliver me from this present evil age...
...according to the will our God and Father...
That said...
I can't "win over" God...
He's already "on my side..."
The proof is Jesus!
Am I trying to win folks over to God?
...or trying to please them?
Can't always do both...
When push comes to shove - in love - Jesus!
APPLICATION:
Be Christ's slave...
Win folks over through Jesus... pleasing them if/when I can...
PRAYER:
Verse 5: To God be the glory forever and always! Amen.
Closing with verse 3:
Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:10 NLT [10] Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

"THAT CONTAINER IS LYING ABOUT ITS CONTENTS"
Matthew 7:15, “Be on your guard against false prophets; they come to you LOOKING LIKE SHEEP on the OUTSIDE, but on the INSIDE they are really like wild WOLVES.” (GNT) My two favorite seasons are Winter and Fall! Winter, because I love Christmas, snow, carols, decorations and the like. And Fall, because I love the colors, Thanksgiving, the start of the scent of fireplaces, but most of all,…

Paul’s Vindication of His Apostleship
10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Messiah. 11 But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to man. 12 For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Yeshua the Messiah. 13 For you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Yehudim' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it. 14 I advanced in the Yehudim' religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace, 16 to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Goyim, I didn't immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Yerushalayim to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into `Arav. Then I returned to Dammesek. — Galatians 1:10-17 | Hebrew Names Version (HNV) The Hebrew Names Version Bible is in the public domain Cross References: Isaiah 49:1; Isaiah 49:5; Jeremiah 9:14; Matthew 6:24; Matthew 15:2; Matthew 16:17; Acts 5:42; Acts 8:3; Acts 9:2; Acts 9:8; Acts 9:21; Romans 1:1; Romans 2:16; 1 Corinthians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 3:4; 1 Corinthians 11:23

AN LDS WOLF IN THE FOLD?
What if I told you that much of the best Christian entertainment of the last several years is being used to convert professing Christians to Mormonism - to the tune of 450,000 in the last four years alone. Join the conversation on our blog!
Is Evangelical/Mormon Collaboration Blurring the Lines Between Orthodoxy and Heresy. What if I told you that much of the best Christian entertainment you’ve been enjoying over the last several years may not be entirely what it seems?  Would it surprise you to know that, for example, The Chosen came about in large part due to an LDS (Latter Day Saint – they prefer this term over “Mormon”) film…

Pleasing People. Pleasing God.
People’s approval has been my go-to most all my life. I want my husband’s family to like me. For goodness’s sake – I want my husband to like/love me a lot. I want my fellow workers and customers at the family center to like me. I want my blogs to be liked and loved.I WANT – ugh! But I’ve learned some valuable lessons. While we don’t want to spend our lives trying to get people to approve of us,…

"PRACTICE SPIRITUAL WARFARE FOR YOUR MARRIAGE"
If I were to choose the most important thing as the key that has kept my marriage united and healthy, I would have to say it is loving my husband and family more than myself and practicing spiritual warfare EVERY DAY! Since we are spiritual beings, we cannot direct our combat against a human person. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, “For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and…
