y’all I feel like an idiot.

I have a show pig and today I ran out of Linder 6-11 scuds ( it’s super high in crude protein and I need it for state fair which is next week). So this morning after feeding I went down to my local Linder supplier and apparently they stopped their orders for it earlier than planned this year. So I went into their back room and while looking through their feed I saw a bag of sunglo S’more fill and so I grab it, not even reading the crude protein and just taking it to check out because it was the only one I vaguely recognized. i get home and read the crude protein and it’s like 8% instead of like- 25%. So now I feel like an idiot.

To the people who see this, I’m in the FFA. And I recently gotten first place in a LDE, so feeling pumped up, I go into the search and I type ffa. Damn I regret it. Instead of the future farmers of America, I see fat fetishes. Idc what y’all are into there’s no shame in it. But it was just shocking lol.

What... Why? What do you do?

I'm here because I want to educate people about one of the lesser known tasks of a farmer- processing and logging crops on a large scale.

Also I'm exhausted and waiting for trucks of wheat can be boring/ I have office tasks that can be pretty tedious although important.

I'm in FFA, and do a lot of work with my local chapter and my extended family that runs the farm. But I like memes too much not to make my job one.

I've been so busy this summer with my livestock projects that I barely got to sit back and enjoy life.

But I've come to realize that enjoying life isn't just traveling, star gazing, roadtrips, sleeping in. Enjoying life is being grateful for life and enjoying what you do. Sheep bring me so much joy, and I'm so eternally thankful that I'm able to raise them and sell them. I wouldn't have it any other way. So, while I may be busy with my projects, I also get to enjoy life.

i am sitting here in my french class eating a day old scone in full FFA official dress as the morning drags on. 

its moments like these that make me feel human. 

moments where i feel everything. 

i feel the effects of being overdue for a shower. i feel desperation in regard to the looming summer break. i feel the stress of my future, my academics, and my extracurriculars. 

i feel it all 

and i would rather not have it any other way, for feeling so greatly is what defines us as a human (rather than an autonomous being in a humanoid body).
