Ancestor Appreciation Day

Today, in honor of Ancestor Appreciation Day, our staff members would like to share with you a story or two about people in their family tree. 

James’ contribution to Ancestor Appreciation Day is this photo of his grandfather, Douglas Tharp (born in 1924).  The image comes from Douglas Tharp’s 1940 senior yearbook from Paris High School in Paris, Texas.  We can see that Douglas was Vice President of the F.F.A.

Depends on what her freakish talent/ look would be. Emmett isn’ta shallow person (at least, I’d like to believe that so for my version), so hewould still do everything he could to be there and to protect and love a womanwho was viewed as a freak.

If the world would see to it that she is an outcast insociety, Emmett would show her that she is more than that to him. He would makeher see the beauty in things and within herself.

Depending the severity of the ability (or disability) thatshe has, he would probably do everything he could to get her out of the ‘freakshow’ and take her away into hiding. Perhaps by then, the Assassins actuallyhave established a better base that is more secluded and underground where hecould keep her from harm.

Since she functions much differently than normal people, itmight take him awhile to get used to the way she works, but he would doeverything he could to be understanding, supportive, and loving.

He would try to give them something equal to talk about—in regardsto him not being normal either as he was brought up to learn how to murderpeople himself; something that could be viewed as a freakish talent of sorts.
