FusionFall Headcanons: Runty
While many had their reservations about Billy's odd "pet," he's grown on a fair number of soldiers stationed at the Endsville base, becoming their unofficial mascot. Do your best to keep your eye on him though: There's no telling what trouble he may be involved in.
Being an imaginary friend, Runty is smarter than many people give him credit for. Unlike actual fusion monsters, he can talk, if in a very infantile way. He's more like the imaginary puppies in the FHFIF episode, "Who Let the Dogs In?" where instinct greatly overrides their limited intelligence. Signs of said intelligence include when he refers to the player as "Mama" or "Papa," likely as a result of Billy handing him over to us after the events of "Fuse No More (Part 2 of 4)." Considering that what followed was him getting sacrificed to weaken the shield in Fuse's Lair, this mission also served as an example of Runty's loving nature. with Billy noting how sweet he is and Runty seemingly forgiving us after these events.
Despite Runty continuing to stay by Billy's side after this, it's clear that he maintains some odd sense of affection for the player for the... few minutes at best, that he was passed over as their imaginary friend. He keeps pushing the title of "Mama" or "Papa" onto them, as if the player has some sort of co-parent status with Billy. It could also be a trait that he actually inherited from Billy, given the latter's sometimes misguided sense of compassion and regular habit of pushing his friendship onto others.
Sadly, like many of Billy's other pets, Runty is regularly the victim of neglect/abuse or unfortunate circumstances. Luckily for the little guy, since he was based on the malleable fusion spawns, he springs back from most injuries incredibly easily--ironically, another trait he also shares with Billy. Besides the incident at Fuse's Lair, Runty has been attacked by Milkshakes and fusion fighters, endured food poisoning, and run over by vehicles multiple times. Each time, he springs back without seeming any the wiser.
Since learning of his true origins as an imaginary friend, many people at the Endsville base have tried to see how they could put his ability to camouflage with actual fusion monsters to use. Runty has learned to follow some basic commands and repeat certain words he hears, and initially, there was some success in using him to maneuver around other groups of fusion monsters. However, the tactic wouldn't work forever. Eventually, either from realizing that they couldn't communicate with him through the fusion hivemind or paying attention to how he hung around the Endsville base, fusion monsters would recognize him as an enemy. Runty has ended serving as a distraction, bait, or placed in a kind of 'Lassie' role since. All in all, it wasn't a big loss since he really only listens to Billy or soldiers he's gotten close to for whatever the reason.
Runty's existence may have partially inspired Dexter to create the Unstable Nanos, being that they share much of the same traits and the same purpose for the war effort.
While typically sweet, Runty does have a couple of bad habits, those being "love bites" and trying to eat random objects. He's like a toddler that'll put anything in his mouth--one full of razor-sharp teeth that you definitely don't want to get your arm caught in.

Headcanon: Anodite Mandark

I'm going to make a bulletpoint thing because there's A LOT of stuff. This is a headcanon based on the Fusionfall Universe (of course DUH XP)
About his Parents:
Oceanbird is herself an anodite, arrived on Earth after hearing about it from Verdona, Ben and Gwen's grandmother;
She met Windbear in a secret USSR facility where he worked as head scientist studying alien life. She was captured right after arriving on Earth;
She convinced him to leave the job and follow her around to explore the world and he did, being fed up with all the atrocities he had to see in name of science;
Oceanbird completely fell in love with Earth and Windbear and decided to abandon her anodite form and live with him in Flowertopia.

Before the war:
Mandark doesn't know about his parents past and tbh doesn't really care about it;
His first encouter with magic was because of science, when he used an old jewel case (the one from Mandarker) from his mother to build an interdimentional portal. It just happened that that particular jewel case was infused with magic, so the portal directly opened into Legerdomain;
Unlike in the cartoon, here he actually met someone else who taught him about magic and its powers and how they could be used to rule the world. That someone was actually Charmcaster;
She lied about her name to him (called herself Jojo) but decided to reveal him some secrets since she felt he had something more and evil deep inside and she was actually impressed he managed to get there in first place;
Charmcaster also made a deal with him: once he would be older and in complete control of his powers, he would join her side and become loyal to her. He accepted, knowing too well somehow that that was never going to happen (and it didn't... for now);
Just to be sure, Charmcaster altered his memory so he wouldn't remember about visiting Legerdomain.

Even with this new knowledge, he was still more interested in science, and didn't use the book too much;
He can actually read minds as shown in Dexter's Rival, that's the first sign of his powers awakening, even if he didn't realize it at first;
He used the book again at the science fair to get Dexter, summoning a monster he actually believed to be the Jojo he met years before;
He decided to let go of magic completely because he wanted to get Dexter using science only. He also started hating it because Dexter did.
During the war:
We have an actual mission from him called "Mag-ICK" where you need to investigate magic readings around Steam Alley. Even if you find the Wishing Skull, Mandark tells you to "Stick with science and avoid magic at all costs. It's for losers!" Which tells us that, again, he DOES know magic exists. He just hates it. Honestly this mission is what started this whole mess you're reading lmao. Anyway:
Here we go with my favourite dynamic coming from this headcanon, which is Gwen and Mandark interaction;
Somehow (gotta work on this tbh) Gwen gets to know that Mandark owns a book about magic, and asks a recruit to go get it from him so she can study it;
Mandark actually forgot he had that book, but asks the recruit to go search his old lab for it;
The book is found and Gwen gets it, and immediately knows Charmcaster had something to do with it, so she asks Mandark to get to her on Pimpleback Mountains so they can discuss about it;
Mandark is against the idea, claiming the book is only "a mistake his younger self used when he didn't know better";
Gwen manages to convince him, so they meet at her station to talk about it;
The girl is disappointed he can't remember how he got it, but also realizes Charmcaster might have altered his memory, so she tries to detect magic around him and almost has an heart attack finding out he has MORE than she expected;
She immediately feels he is an anodite and that his powers are right there, ready to pop out anytime, but he keeps repeating it is impossible because his parents are just normal humans;
Gwen manages to convince him to try something, and with ease manages to have him form a mana energy ball in his hand;
She's excited about it but Mandark just freaks out and she has to calm him down. She actually explains him how mana works and they end up talking the whole night, not only about mana and magic, but about the universe, science, the war, dreams and fears. The next day Mandark goes back to Tech Square being... actually happy. Not about magic itself, he still doesn't want to use it. But that he actually found a... new friend. His very first friend.

Mandark makes her promise not to tell anyone about magic powers or the fact he is an alien magic being, because he wants to first study the thing himself and find out where this could come from;
Because of the war he doesn't have time or resources to investigate it, so it's a thing that's gonna come back when the war is over.
The rest of the headcanons come from my other "5 years after the war" headcanon, where Mandark starts a long journey to understand and accept himself completely and finally be happy with who he is.
Let me know what you think!

Finally remembered to post my headcanon designs for Sector V! Details following:
Nigel: added short half gloves because they're ✨cool✨, big pockets on the sides of his shorts, socks are puffier and outside the boots. He's pretty skinny, and has thin legs and arms. Hoagie says he could break from one moment to another.
Hoagie: added suspenders because that's what old detectives used to wear! Also, he has a lot of patches on his pants because of all the times he's on his knees creating and fixing stuff. His mom buys and sews them on!
Kuki: added a tank top under his green shirt, because it's too big! Also, she now wears big leg warmers, because they were cool in the 2000s, especially in Japanese fashion (and KAWAIII!!!!!). She also wears heart-shaped earrings!
Wally: added bandages all around his arms. He's not really hurt, but all KOOL people wear them, so! Short sleeves, ripped pants, dirty, untied shoes, a lil chain with no purpose but KOOL!
Abby: added round earrings and a bracelet on each wrist! Also, her shirt is shorter than in the cartoon and she wears pants under it!
Yes, these are HEAVILY inspired by Fusionfall. Enjoy!

Better Drawn Edits/Commentary
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share a better version of my first post—I decided to redraw it and add some commentary to the photos. I also included a brief description of why I designed the character(s) this way. Keep in mind, this is just my personal headcanon and how I imagine them, so please take it with a grain of salt. Hope you enjoy the updated edit!I’d love to hear your thoughts, though—feel free to drop a comment down below if you’d like to discuss any headcanons, design ideas, or how you imagine these characters looking.
So let's get started
Frist up, Abby and Nigel

For Abby, I didn’t change much because I really like her canon design—it definitely gives off that cool tomboy vibe, which suits her perfectly. I did make a few tweaks, though. I liked how she had those golden hoop bracelets in her FusionFall version, so I included a nod to that by giving her one big ring bracelet, similar to what you might see on Sonic the Hedgehog characters. I also gave her athletic jeans/shorts to make her outfit a bit more practical, especially since she’s only 10 years old. I always thought her original design could use a bit more coverage for a kid.
As for Nigel, I wanted to keep the iconic elements of his original design while incorporating some of the more practical and battle-ready features from his FusionFall look. I kept the puffy vest from his FusionFall outfit because it gives him that tough, adventurous vibe and makes him look like he’s ready to take charge. The black fingerless gloves were added because I thought they gave him a cool, tactical touch, fitting for someone who’s always on the front lines and leading the team. I also decided to go with the FusionFall shorts because they make him look more prepared for combat while still being practical for running around on missions. I wanted to keep that balance of both.
Second, Hoagie and Abby

For Hoagie, I actually preferred his canon design over his FusionFall version, but I did take a few elements from both. One thing I liked from his FusionFall look was the fingerless gloves, so I tried to incorporate those. I’ll admit I’m not the best at drawing hands, so they didn’t come out perfect, but I still think they add a nice touch to his look. Another detail I liked from FusionFall was the knee patches on his pants. To make the outfit look more cohesive, I made the patches match his shirt color for a more aesthetically pleasing look. I also darkened his pants just a bit, while keeping the folded-up parts slightly lighter, since the inside of rolled-up pants usually appears a bit faded compared to the outside. Lastly, I changed the "2" on his hat to have a more bubble-shaped design, making it look bolder and more readable. I also colored it blue to match his shirt and tie the whole look together.
As for Abby, this is more of a full design for her outfit. I forgot to mention earlier that I added a small yellow button to her MJs (Mary Janes) to complement the golden hoops and bracelet. I thought it would be a nice little touch to tie the outfit together and add just a bit more personality to her look.
Finally Kuki and Wally

For Wally, I gave him a more rugged, tough-guy look with ripped clothes because I can totally see him always getting his clothes torn up from fighting or just being his reckless self. The piercings add to that rocker vibe I imagine for him—I get the feeling he’d definitely be into rock music, so I wanted to reflect that. One detail I did like from his FusionFall look was the silver pocketchain on his pants, but I took it a step further by giving him two chains linked together to make it look even more like a rocker/bad boy style. He always has a bandage on his face because, well, it just fits his scrappy personality—he’s always getting into fights, so it makes sense for him to be a bit banged up. I also wrapped his hands with bandages, inspired by another artist @kommandonuovidiavoli , to add to that fighter aesthetic.
As for Kuki, I wanted to blend elements from both her canon and FusionFall designs since I really like both. I kept her signature green sweater from the show, but I styled it off the shoulder with a black tank top underneath to give it a more modern and stylish look while still keeping that casual vibe she’s known for. II also gave her a skirt inspired by another artist @hyperfixingfr @spicedwatermel0n (Edited part). He also gave kuki a black skirt, which I loved and wanna to do, so i was inspired by him. hint at her wearing leggings underneath, I made her legs a bit thicker to create that layered look. I always imagined Kuki would go for comfort and mobility, especially since she’s always running around and being active. The leggings not only add practicality but also make the whole outfit feel more complete.

As a fellow Demongo enthusiast, I wanna know your 🎀 headcanons for the lil shit.
[ 🎀 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat is their main love language ?
I refer to his nano line in FusionFall where he says "I promise not to eat YOUR soul!"
Demongo's love language is declaring he won't eat you :) (he might wanna drink your blood every now and then though)

Deedark heacanons?
I loved the ones you made a while back and was wondering if you had more!
Awww! Thank you, you’re very sweet! 😊💕
Sure! Let me remember them.
• I used to headcanon that Dee Dee snores, but when rewatching the show I noticed that Mandark is the one that Canonically snores, and they usually write Dee Dee as a silent sleeper. Now that I think about it, it might make sense, since he has a very narrow neck lolllll Edit: I forgot to mention that Mandark canonically Talks In His Sleep!!!!
• I also used to headcanon that Dee Dee is an early bird and that she sleeps early, and that Mandark was the night owl, but now that I think about the kinds of jobs they have, maybe their sleeping schedules should be the other way around 😆. I mean, ballet studios tend to be an after school activity, meaning that she would be working in the afternoons, and he runs a laboratory, so his office hours would be from 8 AM to 5 PM, but he stays up late working extra hours. I like to think their sleeping schedules sync because of it.
• They live together by 23, but have probably been roommates since before. I don’t know why I’m fixated on 23, I came up with this when I was 19, and 23 sounded like a very exciting age at the time. I’m turning 31 in June, and giving this some thought it still feels like a good age! It’s a challenging time for many, there’s so much societal pressure to get your shit together after college, but you still want to enjoy life ““before 25””, so it would be very nice if they’re together through it.
• They probably don’t marry until 25 though, because it feels like a “serious” age to them, but mostly because I want them to still call each other boyfriend and girlfriend for a while ( and Fiancé for a while too lolll ). Although 25 is still young! Don’t hurry things just because that age sounds scary 💝 People will think you’re 21 at 30, and 16 at 21. There’s always time; take things slow. ( I’m only keeping the headcanons because they feel lived in ).
• For Dee Dee’s job, I like to think she joined a ballet company, so in her early adulthood she’s doing a lot of performances. She gets the instructor job later, to get a steady paycheck. She begins to suffer muscle pains because she’s not 10 anymore, so I like to imagine that Mandark helps monitoring her muscle health and he’s Very serious about it, I’m talking massages, 3D diagrams they update every week, keeps a journal and plans a diet for her. At some point she retires from the performances and dedicates herself to be an instructor, but she returns to the stage every other year. Edit: I’ve been following ballerinas on social media and watching documentaries to learn about their life styles, so I think she’ll be healthy for a very long time. Mandark is still concerned about her health though.
• I have several AUs for these two, but most of my headcanons for them are in the FusionFall verse. I really really like that Universe! It inspires me a lot. I should illustrate some headcanons someday. If you want to hear any FF specific headcanons, let me know!
• From their personalities in canon, I like to think they’re both very clingy, in particular Mandark. He’s very needy, needs lots of validation and has tendencies of low self-esteem, and she’s too cuddly, she’ll walk in on you when you’re busy to shower you with attention. I think it makes them perfect for each other; they’re both smothering with affection, and it makes them natural outlets. They probably tire each other sometimes, but they’re back at it again afterwards.
Thanks for the ask! Hope these work for you! 🫶💖💕
Have some Milk and Mocha, they’re my go-to DeeDark mascots 🐻❄️🐻

Edit from the future: I am no longer working on this AU. I’ll still keep these posts up in case anyone else wants to do something similar with the ideas, & I still hope anyone who stumbles upon these will still find some enjoyment out of them.
———
So a couple of weeks ago, I established the basic outline for my Samurai Jack AU: Duo of Doom.
Despite it already being so fuckin massive, I still have a lot to still talk about regarding the AU, hence why I am making this post.
The purpose of this post is to outline ALL itty bitty details that I’m working with for the AU, which will collectively be referred to as “headcanons” cause I dunno what else to call them… and they’re canon to the AU anyway, so uh… “headcanons” feel the most appropriate.
So, without stalling, let’s get into this!!
Imma split this up into 3 sections: one for Demongo, one for Scara, and then a miscellaneous category where I talk about small ideas I have for a variety of characters.
Before we get right into it, I want to stress that MUCH of Demongo’s personality and abilities will stem from what was established in the Cartoon Network MMO game Fusionfall, which explored and added onto Demongo’s character quite a bit. I will let y’all know when some of these headcanons stem from Fusionfall so it’s clear where exactly I got these ideas from.
Okie dokie! Enough stalling. Let’s dig into this!!
Demongo
• Despite him being pretty well known in the early days of the fandom as the “lava lamp” guy with how bubbly his fiery head was, I like to think he genuinely has a large variety of fire-based powers under his belt. After all, it is a key move he has as a nano in Fusionfall as well as something the real Demongo in game claims he has the ability to do during his “All the World’s a Stage” missions. I believe that while he can be rather flexible with what he can do with his fire-based powers, he sticks to simply using fire itself as an offensive move, such as using fire breath to make himself practically a walking flamethrower. He definitely can just summon fire with the flick of his wrist, but I like to think he enjoys the gigachad move of going dragon-mode JUST so he can seem as tough as possible.
• Speaking of him using fire moves offensively, thanks to a texturing mishap on Demongo’s model in Fusionfall, I got the cute idea of him having the ability to heat up his own fingers and dish out fiery scratches so he can look cool as shit. Additionally, he can use this ability just to make himself look a lil more stylish. Yeah, that’s right. Those blue “painted nails” in his later DOD designs? That’s just bro using his powers to make em LOOK like painted nails. They don’t feel all that hot on the surface, so anyone else can touch them just fine without getting burned… assuming Demmy doesn’t wanna burn you. It’s really up to him if he just wants to give you third degree burns.
• I keep mentioning how Demmy really enjoys looking cool, and that is because this version of Demongo is veeeeeeeeeeery insecure about his actual strength. This is hinted at a bit in his debut episode, but I took this concept and ran with it for the AU. As the story goes on, he relies less and less on his stolen souls as he starts using more of his powers that he naturally has (which is mainly just his fire powers). While he goes around acting like he’s the shit, he doesn’t have the best self esteem, making him very hesitant and scared to be vulnerable in any way. This changes over the course of the story, but for the majority of it all, he struggles to find worth in himself.
• Forcing himself to have such a high view of himself (assuming he doesn’t let himself get vulnerable) is something he believes he has to do, not only just to make it in this world (since I doubt Aku was gonna keep letting someone who is openly insecure stay in the higher ranks), but also due to how they correlate with his powers. Reaching a mentally low point will cause his fire to go out as he goes into his “depowered” form (even if his skulls are still present). In this state, he can’t use any of his abilities. Think of it as his own soul becoming so demotivated that it becomes too weak for Demongo to harness his own abilities. If he lets himself be emotionally vulnerable, he’s gonna be physically vulnerable too, and he just cannot have that.
• Just like a vampire, he steals the souls of his warriors via biting them, preferably when the target is too worn out to fight back. It’s pretty much OVER if bro ever pierces the skin since that initiates some magical bullshit that reconfigures the target’s entire being into nothing but gas, which Demmy can easily consume.
• Being made up of carbon and other light elements, Demongo can destabilize his form to go into what I like to call his gas-mode… which is pretty much what it sounds like. He just turns into a black cloud of smoke that travels in the same way his soul essences do in his debut episode, all snake-like and shit. He can also teleport as seen in his episode, but that’s more of a magical thing than his gas form is.
• Despite the souls he collects giving him the strength he has, he CAN eat like any other regular being… well, sort of. He has a stomach, but it more so functions as a burner, burning anything he consumes that can later be redistributed as gases via… well, his fiery head. If something can be eaten away by an actual fire, he can easily consume it too. Really, anything that isn’t denser than carbon is easily “digestible” for him. Because of this, Demongo has an INTENSE sweet tooth and actively seeks out sugary treats. This also means bro cannot go vampire mode and consume blood as that shit has SO much iron in it. Bro would find that shit disgusting, not because it’s BLOOD necessarily, but because that shit is PACKED with such a heavy element.
• Demongo’s comfort food of choice is marshmallows, mainly because of how they’re mainly comprised of sugar and not much else. Hell, he’s pretty much a s’mores guy, which is quite fitting considering he’s a walking campfire. If you were to try and be goofy silly by roasting a marshmallow using his fire, he’d just bite the damn thing right off your stick. His fire, his rules.
• Thanks to how simplistic its chemistry is, alcohol is something Demongo (unfortunately) enjoys. Due to how he digests shit via burning anything he consumes, this results in him getting intoxicated VERY quickly. “Lightweight” doesn’t even BEGIN to describe this lil shit. Funnily enough, he also has the tendency to get all floaty and shit when he’s immensely intoxicated. He also gets EXTREMELY giggly. You could say the most dull and boring-ass word in existence and this bitch will almost pass out from laughing. As funny as these experiences can be, Scara tries his best to limit whenever the lil fella can have alcohol… for both their sakes.
• While he still can get hurt, any physical damage he takes can be easily mended if he has the energy for it. This can take the form of cuts, bruises, blown-off appendages, bites (if that sounds sus, then you already know why I brought it up. I just like the irony it creates, I swear), getting crushed, anything like that. The only thing that can actively keep him down (outside of demoralizing him) would be to not give him time to heal and wear him down little by little or by using one POWERFUL enough attack that’s enough to knock him out, much like how he was originally defeated by Jack with that big explosion.
• The skulls on his torso are not actually the skulls of the warriors he defeats. They are made of the same components as him. I mean, he definitely can’t have thousands of warriors under his control while only realistically having like… dozens of skulls on him. The skulls merely provide a means of imbuing a warrior’s essence into a physical form that can be molded back into the warrior’s original being. They can go gas mode on their own once a warrior is defeated, returning back to Demongo to rejoin the rest of his skulls in its solid form. However, it is possible to take all the skulls off, cutting off all of Demmy’s powers and putting him in his depowered state. They can be reattached afterwards. In a way, they’re like detachable scales (which is funny considering what’s coming up in a little bit). Demmy only ever removes his skulls to sleep better (and to not unknowingly catch anything on fire, of course), if/when he chooses to sleep. The only person that’s seen Demongo willingly detach his skulls is Scaramouche, especially since Demmy is in a very vulnerable state in this form.
• If any of his skulls remain detached from his body for a decently long time, his body will naturally reconstruct a new one to take its place.
• Regardless of whether or not his skulls have been detached, Demongo will enter his depowered state once he falls asleep. It helps him preserve energy this way.
• Demongo cannot be easily killed since any form of beheading or dismemberment only results in him having to manifest the missing part of his body, which is merely a minor annoyance to him. However, he’s not invincible. Right in the middle of his chest is his “core,” which is his TRUE “being in a way. It is essentially his brain and his heart. His core can be vaguely seen whenever he goes into gas mode, if you can look past the smoke and shit. His core NEEDS to stay as scorching as possible. Extinguishing the core (mainly by cooling it to dangerously low temperatures) will result in Demongo’s death.

• Despite being fairly humanoid, Demongo has some lizard-like properties. This is mainly apparent in his ability to smell. Since he doesn’t have an actual nose, he relies on his tongue to sniff out anything of value, which is why he can typically be seen “blepping” from time to time, especially if food is nearby. Additionally, I like to think he specifically takes after the blue tongued skink for… obvious reasons. Here’s a funni lil art piece I made just for this one headcanon LAMWKSMWOSM
• This advanced control over the temperature of his body allows Demmy to manually mend things (like metal) back together, so if Scara takes any damage (mainly minor gashes), Demmy can just… seal that shit back up with ease with nothing but the tip of his finger!
• Fusionfall claimed that Demongo had the ability to place “charms” on certain objects, and while I still find that ability kinda stupid, I wanted to repurpose it for this AU. I like to think that Demongo has dabbled in magic outside of the kind he already has within him. He does not have much use for this knowledge outside of creating enchanted weaponry, but it at least gives him some insight on how various forms of magic work. As a result, he’s very knowledgeable about the subject.
• While he can speak English just fine, his primary language is Japanese. He rarely ever speaks in it since rarely anyone around him knows the language, but since he was never taught how to write in English, he only knows how to write in the Japanese alphabet. He strives to be better at writing English, sometimes dabbling in French since Scara knows that shit like the back of his hand.
• As much as he may claim to hate them, bro actually loves hearing a good pun, especially if he finds it particularly clever or unexpected. If any of you are familiar with his Nano counterpart’s audio files, you’ll probably know where I’m pulling this info from. OWMWOSMSOSSKSOSK Ah, and he additionally finds anything Scara says to be the funniest shit in the world, regardless of quality. Just a dorky lil fella who is absolutely in love OWNWKWMWOSMDDOXMON
• “Growing up” (for lack of a better term) in the Pit of Hate meant Demongo would not be too familiar with gestures of kindness and such at the start of the AU. While this fact is very apparent in a variety of ways (as seen in the tavern episode in the AU’s first season), this also has resulted in him being unfamiliar with physical gestures of kindness… aka bro’s never been fuckin hugged before. This would result in Demmy (in the earlier episodes of season 1) being surprised by touch, even from something as small as a simple pat on the back or a hand to the shoulder. He doesn’t HATE the sensation. It’s just unfamiliar to him at this point in the story. I’m pretty sure lil guy getting his first friendly hug from Scara was the point where he REALLY felt the effects of being touch starved, and while it’s hard for him to ask for support thanks to his fear of vulnerability during this section of the story, Scara thankfully is happy to oblige.
• As a result, Demmy has grown to really enjoy being held, typically through hugs or even being carried. This can be seen way more during season 2 when Demmy isn’t NEARLY as fearful of being vulnerable and such. Sometimes, he’ll try and act like he’s out of breath or is low on energy just as an excuse for Scara to carry him, but since he does it in such a dramatic and playful way, it’s easy to tell when he’s doing it on purpose. He’ll only ever outright ask to be carried if he feels comfortable enough (since that fear of vulnerability still lingers on, even if it’s not nearly as potent as it was in season 1).
• After he starts learning more and more about modern culture, he starts going by he/they since that shit just feels right to him… well, that and I just like putting a lil bit of my own quirks into the characters I write. I specifically see him identifying as a demiboy.
• Bro is gay. I’ve already mentioned that before, and there isn’t much else to say about it… I mean, I HAVE thought about referencing the famous Sam and Max line “But Max, you don’t even like girls” with Scara and Demmy before, just to make this lil fact about the lil guy clear, but I dunno how or when I’d even do it KQMQOWMOWKOSSKOJ
• Whenever bro gets flustered or blushes, his face HEATS up… like DRAMATICALLY. DO NOT forget that he’s just a walking campfire. As such, in some rare cases if he’s flustered enough for a prolonged period of time, he’ll start to kinda melt a little bit, just a little bit though.
• He HATES water. It stings for him. Rain is tolerable, even if he’d prefer to ignore it, and being submerged in water hurts like HELL. Same with snow and ice. None of it will kill him since he’ll neee to be in a FAR chillier environment for his life to be genuinely at risk, but he still prefers NOT to feel that kind of pain whenever he can avoid it.
• He likes wearing Scara’s big-ass coat. It’s comforting, in a way.
• Despite him not being super intelligent, Demmy’s quite knowledgeable about strategizing, finding enjoyment in commanding his own lil legion and carefully planning their every move. That is to say… he’s got the confidence and drive of your average Pokémon nuzlocker.
• There’s always been this lil joke in the fandom calling Demongo a theater kid, and despite THIS Demongo never having stepped foot in an actual theater (prior to meeting Scara), you can just TELL by the way he moves and talks in public that he’s a bit of an actor at heart. He talks loudly, boastfully even, exaggerating his gestures way too passionately, and is just VERY animated in general. Despite his insecurities, he genuinely does love to proudly express himself, which gets a lot easier for him to do as the story goes on.
• Speaking of how he tends to act in public, Demmy is… pretty fuckin mischievous towards others (or at least people he isn’t close to… ie Scara). Even if his target hasn’t done anything to him, he just enjoys playing jokes on people whenever he knows he can get away with it. However, if Demmy DOES decide he wants to be petty towards someone, he’ll go out of his way to make that person’s life MISERABLE while he just shrugs and plays it off like everything he does is just a lil accident. TLDR, if he doesn’t know or like you, he’s GONNA be a little shit towards you.
• As such, Demmy is not the friendliest person to be around. He is a certified ✨people hater✨, and would much rather stick with people he knows and trusts (ie Scara… again).
• As a bit of a nod to Demongo’s voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson (famous for his roles where he plays characters with extremely deep voices), Demongo’s voice actually has the same range as Kevin’s, meaning he can pull off the same kind of deep voices Kevin can. However, Demongo can only deepen his voice for a short amount of time before it strains his throat, so he doesn’t do it often. He only ever does this if it’s useful for something important or when he wants to play tricks on others (ie prank calls… maybe, assuming he can figure out how to use a cell phone first KANAOWMXOSMDOSMF).
• Remember that giant see-through skull that Demongo was summoned in at the end of his debut episode? The one Aku destroyed with him inside? Considering Demmy is made of the same stuff as diamonds, I like to think that the skull is made of diamond as well (to an extent, especially since it’s hollow on the inside). Perhaps this was the skull that Demongo first formed in, and was used to summon his essence whenever Aku desired… well, until the big guy crushed it, seeing no more use in keeping Demongo around. Of course, Demmy was just sent back to the Pit of Hate to be punished for his failure, but the destruction of that crystal skull meant Aku could no longer summon him at will, which is definitely a good thing for Demmy.
• While he was being punished in the Pit of Hate, he at one point regained enough power to teleport out of the grasp of the demons who were watching over him, eventually finding a way to escape the Pit and return to the surface to regain his full strength. Aku was never told about his escape due to the two demons that were supposed to watch over the fiery lil shit fearing they would be killed if Aku ever found out. The two have been searching for Demongo ever since.
Scaramouche
• Scaramouche is the more level-headed of the two numbskulls as it is EXTREMELY difficult to genuinely piss him off. He is just THAT naturally laidback. However, when he DOES get pissed, he doesn’t scream or make a big fuss about it. No. He goes dead silent. This often ends with someone getting their ass beat… before Scara immediately bounces back with that familiar chirpy attitude after everything’s said and done.
• Despite how he’s mainly known for his scatting, Scara CAN legitimately sing. He’s pretty damn good at it. It’s the same story with dancing as well. He enjoys teaching Demmy how to sing and dance like he can, and the lil guy’s been getting better and better at it ever since. They really are just two theater kids in love. KWNWOSNOSKON
• He is NOT a twink. I have no clue why everyone for so long was under the impression that he was, but just because his limbs are skinny as fuck doesn’t mean his entire build is. Naw. Naw, that guy’s fairly built, pun totally intended. KWNWKWKSOKOK
• You can tell something is wrong when Scara starts speaking “normally” without any quips or “babe”s being thrown about. This can either happen if he’s genuinely pissed off, scared, or is actively hiding something.
• Since his creator was a French scientist, Scara in his early days took an interest in learning the language alongside English. Because of this, present Scara is fluent in both languages, being able to speak and write in them flawlessly. Even so, he’s genuinely interested to learn Japanese, Demmy’s first language. He thinks it’s cute that the lil guy likes trying to teach him the language, so he’s all for it. Scara’s fully capable of learning the language himself since… well… he IS a robot built to quickly learn shit, but he still prefers Demmy teaching him instead. He finds it too adorable of an offer to pass up on.
• I’m not entirely sure on this one, but I like to think that due to him being a robot and all, he can’t eat human foods like Demongo can. Luckily for him, the world of SJ most likely accommodates for robotic civilians, thus having shit like electronic-based foods and beverages… probably.
• I can also see the SJ universe having like… an abundance of repair or mechanic centers so any robotic citizens with a dismembered or missing arm can be fixed up quickly and with ease, so I’m sure Scara takes advantage of this… despite Demmy taking interest in wanting to learn how to help repair the big guy by himself, which Scara is flattered by the offer, but he doesn’t wanna risk Demmy accidentally doing some irreversible damage.
• Since it’s been shown in the og show that robots apparently sweat oil (ew), that also goes for Scara. This is mainly for consistency reasons, because unlike Genndy himself, Tigera and I enjoy consistency and proper continuity. >:/
• When wanting to be endearing towards Demongo, he’ll either call him “bud” (more so during season 1) or “hon” (more so during season 2). He has a plethora of other nicknames for the lil shit, but these two are the most common ones he dishes out.
• Much of his humor consists of “adult humor”, just as he demonstrated in the original show’s 5th season. We all know which scene I’m talking about. Even so, he tries not to overuse those jokes too much. He’s not a walking Family Guy gag. He’ll still chuckle to himself if he hears some sus-as-fuck wording, but he won’t be witty about it if shit’s too easy to joke about.
• Overall, Scara just likes to crack jokes, regardless of what kind of joke it is or if it’s even debatably funny. Demmy finds them all funny, but it’s DEFINITELY out of bias.
• Bro is absolutely pansexual. Gender doesn’t matter to him. Everyone’s hot to him. KANWKWMWOSK
• He’s had plenty of flings in the past and even some relationships that lasted quite a while, so he’s got a lot of experience when it comes to that kind of thing. It’s where he gets his patience and openness in his relationship with Demmy.
• Unlike Demongo, Scara is VERY social and finds it EASY to befriend people… or at least MOST people. He enjoys talking with people, no matter who they might be. Really, he just loves to talk, and if he clicks with anyone in the process, well, that’s just a bonus! This has resulted in Demmy getting a lil jealous sometimes, but since bro makes it obvious when he feels that way, Scara’s quick to reassure him and resolve the issue as efficiently as he can…
because I am SO SICK of that stupid fucking trope of a couple squabbling for THE ENTIRE PLOTLINE BECAUSE OF ONE STUPID MISUNDERSTANDING THAT THEY COULD’VE DEALT WITH IF THEY HAD JUST TALKED TO EACH OTHER-
Ahem
Sorry about that.
I am
VERY passionate about how I write romance in my stories.
…
Because I do it RIGHT for once.
• Since this AU does not have as long of a time skip as season 5 did, Scaramouche has not yet reached the big leagues regarding his job as an assassin. He’s still trying to make a name for himself and garner the attention of Aku. Because of this, he hasn’t reached the level of “mercilessness” he claims to have in season 5, refusing to kill people who either don’t have a bounty on their head or aren’t looking to kill HIM in turn. He’s still got a more humane outlook on life and other people, and he isn’t nearly as much of a jerk as he is in season 5… even if he still has quite a big ego.
• As much as he claims to strive for a life of fame and luxury, he’s only aiming to ensure a financially stable and comfortable life for himself. Having to live on his own after his creator’s passing was tough due to the financial limitations it put on him, and while he’s in a much better position by the time he meets Demmy, he still can’t help but feel at least a little insecure about his financial situation and how he’d be potentially looked down upon by others of a much higher social class. This insecurity drives him to be noticed by Aku, since he believes the big guy will ensure he’s never looked down upon again. However, this drive wavers as the story goes on.
• Over the course of the AU, Scara’s faith in Aku dwindles little by little as he learns more about Demongo’s past and how he was treated as someone who WAS in the big leagues for a little while. This all ultimately culminates when Jack pleads that the two turn against Aku, since they’ll both probably be killed or imprisoned regardless of what they choose to do. Scara WOULD have thoughtlessly disregarded Jack’s plea if it wasn’t for Demmy and his history pretty much confirming everything Jack was warning them about. THIS is why Scara chooses to back Demmy up and form a temporary alliance with Jack.
• In the event that his head is disconnected from his body (like in season 5), Scara has a very limited amount of backup power that can allow him to get himself to someone who can fix him up. I know his white eyes in the show were most likely a coloring error, but I like to think the change in eye color (in this AU specifically) indicates whenever he’s running on that backup power. Just like in the fifth season, he can also adapt to the bodies of other living creatures so it’s a lil easier for him to travel.
Miscellaneous
• Since the concept of the fae has some origins in Scottish mythology, I thought it would be neat to include that shit in Scotsman’s character. Since Demongo is a mischievous magical being (and since demons overlap with the fae a lot in this kind of mythology), I can see the two characters having MAJOR beef with one another with the Scotsman claiming Demmy is nothing but a troublesome fae with Demongo taking GREAT offense to that claim, thus solidifying their pure hatred for one another.
• Despite Scara’s inclusion in this AU, the timeline roughly follows that of the comics where Jack DOES age normally and gets his sword destroyed at some point. Like in the comics, Aku IMMEDIATELY sensed when the sword was destroyed, which is why Jack needs to go into hiding and mask his appearance as best as he can to ensure Aku can never find him and take advantage of the situation. Jack would also later manifest the “spiritual” sword he gets in the comics. Some events in season 5 still occur, such as the Daughters of Aku still existing alongside the cult that raised them, but anything else that happened in season 5 that isn’t present in DoD’s story most likely didn’t happen in the AU.
• Despite Jack having his “sword” with him for the final fight, his sword alone cannot vanquish Aku for good. The sword is only just as good as the original sword, which would result in the same events that occurred when Jack’s father defeated Aku for the very first time. Aku would be merely sealed into the earth below until he could be freed by another inevitable solar eclipse. This is why Demongo is the one to truly defeat Aku. No solar eclipse will allow his essence to escape Demongo’s hold on him, and the only way for him to be set free is by defeating Demongo and freeing Aku from the inside out… or just by simply killing Demongo.
• I like to think this AU takes place roughly 30 years after the last episode of the original series. Familiar characters aren’t as old as they would be in season 5, so characters like the Scotsman are still quite capable, even if he’s definitely no longer in his prime.
• Even if it’s only relevant for brief calendar scenes, I REALLY wanted to figure out a solid date for both the original series and the AU. Since Jack came from the Edo Period of Japan (or at the very least, it’s widely accepted that he did), I’d say it was roughly… 1624 when Jack was about to slay Aku before he got flung into the future. Imma say he probably got sent 400 years into the future, which would put him in 2024 by real-world time standards. However, since Aku was in charge, he instated his own universal rule for tracking time, with 1624 now being 0 BA (before Aku). This would put Jack in 400 AA (after Aku) or just 400. Since the AU takes place around 30 years later, this would mean the story takes place somewhere in the 430s… or I guess the 30s for short.
• Social media is still very much a thing in this universe, parodying the platforms we’re all familiar with in the real world. The only one that’s really relevant is the fictional counterpart to Twitter, which imma call Yapper cause it’s at least a better name than what it’s ACTUALLY being called nowadays. Scara absolutely has his own account where he frequently posts either funny shit or pictures of him and Demmy together. The big guy is NOT afraid to get gushy as fuck with the captions, so their relationship is not exactly a secret to the rest of the world. Demmy doesn’t have his own account because 1) he doesn’t have his own device to use it on, and 2) he’s a ✨people hater✨ and typically doesn’t care what other people think or do. Even so, he doesn’t mind Scara talking about him and sharing photos of the two of em online. He finds it really flattering, actually.
• HeadTake allows for users to be composed of groups either by merging two existing accounts that can be separated later if needed or by simply updating the user’s status if any additional members never obtained their own account, such as Demongo. Ever since he and Scara started actively working together in season 1, the big guy had updated his account’s status to include the both of them in it, dubbing the two of them “the duo of doom” (roll credits). However, because of this feature, this site also would lead to the rise of the syndicate, the main antagonists of season 1. Speaking of…
• The Diamond Syndicate, or DiSy for short, is a massive conglomeration of assassins who all work under the same powerful leader. Using their riches and influence to coerce countless assassins into joining their ranks, DiSy has become a dangerous force to be reckoned with and does not take kindly to those who compete with them, especially for the same bounties.
• Instead of saying “what the hell,” the people in this universe will typically say something like “what in the Pit” since well… the Pit of Hate pretty much IS Hell to an extent.
OKAY
That’s all the headcanons and ideas I can think of for now, but I might still add onto this later on, so be sure to keep an eye on this post if you’re interested in how I write these characters and this universe in general.
Y’all have a good one!

Father for that one ask game! Have a fantabulous day!
thank you for the ask! i hope you have an awesome day as well :D
---
[i use myself and my s/i arnie interchangeably]
What made me like him
Out of universe, I initially got into him when designing a FusionFall s/i (CVM), and her whole schtick was being an accidental fusion of a bunch of different inserts. Since KND was one universe in the game, I wanted to make a sona for that. I thought Father was cute, and then I got into the lore a little bit and I enjoyed how over the top he was, but also that he was surprisingly chill and loved baking as well. Also, his daddy issues were a little too relatable to pass up (/lh).
In universe, the reason my insert Arnie falls for Father is because after working for him for a while and also him being the only person she would regularly hang out with (until she met her best friend Lou), she eventually found him charming and would start to see the more vulnerable side he tends to hide under his intimidating villainous exterior.
My favorite thing about him
Honestly? I love how over the top and extra this man is.
Kids want a birthday cake? Yeah, let's make an ice cream cake for the kids... except the cake is an entire spaceship, and after a laser goes off destroying all ice cream on Earth, it will also give the kids the privilege of having the last ice cream ever.
It really plays into what I like about him: just how silly and fun he can be.
I also really like the moments where he's not trying to be a villain. I loved it when he joked around with a KND operative, or made a truce with them so they could save a coveted box of cereal, or even when he gets to mention his hobby for baking; stuff like that, those are just the examples atop my head. He's literally just Some Dude underneath all of that "canonically the most evil villain (outside of his own father)" stuff.
It really shows that despite being comically devious, he's still human. I love it when evil people are actually really silly... *twirls hair*
Nicknames we have for each other
For context, Father is his business name and he's actually just some dude named Benedict.
Arnie would call him him Ben, or more commonly Benny, but would also use casual pet names, primarily dear but also babe/baby and hon(ey). She's more likely to use the pet names in public, while only calling him his name in private for the sake of Father's anonymity.
Conversely, he'd call Arnie only by her full first name when around other villains, but at home? The big one is honey pie, but in his arsenal he also uses dearie, sweetie, darling, sugar plum... just about anything silly or sweet he can possibly think of, really!
A headcanon of our relationship
Father obviously feels socially stunted, given I doubt he's got many (or any) actual friends in canon past being acquainted somewhat with the other villains. So, I think despite his ability to woo people (the result of such I'll mention in the final bullet point) he absolutely doesn't know how to maintain that sort of ability to show affection once someone agrees to be with him.
This is why with Arnie he will go all out when it comes to gifts.
Showing emotional affection via words and PDA? Sure, he could technically do that... or he could show how he feels by being the dude who will buy someone a treat whenever they so desire, except the treat is dialed up to eleven.
Craving a tub of ice cream? Why not have a whole factory of ice cream where you have any flavor at your disposal! Want to go to the beach? Let's pay a whole lot of money to privately reserve the entire coast for an afternoon, he can pull the strings! Saw a pretty dress at the store? Not only will you get that, but you're also getting matching shoes, jewelry, and whatever other possible clothing accessory could go with it (special handbag included); and screw it, next time you want a dress, he'll have stuff personally tailored for you! Hungry for literally any baked good? Hope you're excited for him to personally make a literal lifetime's worth of it from scratch!
He accidentally goes full-blown sugar daddy mode (which is funny because sometimes the sugar is actual sugar and sometimes it's what the typical sugar is for that title: money) and the only payment he wants from Arnie (or any partner, really) is a shred of validation or affection in response. Literally you could throw the man any bone; he's so starved for positive attention, that Arnie showing up and unconditionally loving him absolutely short-circuits him and makes him go above and beyond to even try and show a fraction of the care he feels like he gets from Arnie.
Arnie does slowly help him tone it down to a more reasonable level, but it took a while given this was his primary way of shouting I LOVE YOU SO MUCH from the rooftops. It took a whole lot of assuring him that she knows he loves her as much as she loves him. You'll be please to know his spending habits on his honey pie have gone down an entire 4% since they first started dating! /lh
My favorite image of him
Honestly it's hard to choose, so I'll post top three in no particular order.
Anything else!
Mild lore dump moment! This one's a little more on the serious end.
I do headcanon the Delightful Children to be biologically Father's kids, and that the "missing children of Sector Z" weren't actually kidnapped like the popular idea seems to be. We see Father with a child during A.R.C.H.I.V.E., and the history of that episode is implied to be true at the end of the episode. Really makes the whole "where did these kids even come from" question a whole lot nicer of an answer that way.
The reason I bring that up is because I feel like the kids definitely have a complicated relationship with their parents (none of them know their birth mothers, and while they respect Father it isn't like he's all sunshine and rainbow with them; typically, he's pretty strict and holds them to stupidly high expectations).
That's why I think having Arnie there gives the kids a better sense of normalcy, especially because she's not as intense on the whole becoming a perfect villain thing like Father is. The kids are still antagonistic to the KND, but they also are still kids; having a parent that just does chill normal parent stuff adds a lot of balance these kids absolutely needed in their life. Being a villain with papa is fun and all, but sometimes a kid just wants to go to the beach!
That isn't to say Father can't also be fun parent sometimes. He knows how to party down, after all!

Note
The dropout rate for the field agents (what I call the Players) is alarmingly high. People forget that most of them are just kids, so they get traumatized pretty damn fast. Most are either sent behind the lines as backup at best, and at worst they go missing or insane.
This kind of Headcanon acceptable? I love FusionFall, and this blog seems like some good fun.

FusionFall Headcanons: Boarbulls
These aren't your typical livestock. Boarbulls are incredibly vicious fusion monsters will no sense of fear. Seeing you in their territory will have them seeing red before you even realize they're there. When crossing through an area with reported sitings of them, it's best to stay vigilant at all times.
These fusion monsters are made from a variety of wood, grass, and rock materials found in the mountainous area they form within. This gives them excellent camouflage, and since only a minimal amount of fusion matter is often radiating from their bodies, this means they can hide themselves incredibly well despite the Haunted Ridge's dark environment. While their hides are only a bit tougher than the real animals they're based off of, the thick wood of their skulls and solid beaks can act as a protective layer of armor, particularly against most frontal attacks. Despite following more of a boar's appearance, they are more like a bull in size.
Combining the attack patterns of bulls and boars, they heavily utilize charge tactics. They will often charge out of the foliage without warning, first aiming low in attempt to impale their targets with their horns or tusks. If they successfully knock you off your feet, they will try to trample you. They may also try to catch one of your limbs in their teeth, using their intense bite strength to crush bone. The best way to survive these attacks is to never turn your back to them, never run outright, and attempt to maintain some distance. They will outrun you and can turn on a dime, so you're better off dodging and weaving or using any type of elevated platform to climb away from the danger.
The weakest spots on their bodies are the underbelly and certain sections of their legs. Despite being made mostly of earth, these areas are often kept soft and limber to work more organically, resulting in exposed crevices coursing with fusion matter. Damaging these areas means that you can maim these monsters before they maul you. There are similar exposed crevices around the face that, while harder to aim for, can be cut into in order to dislocate their jaws.
Boarbulls are noted to be highly territorial. This likely comes from the habits of real boars in the wild, but may also stem from their placement in the Haunted Ridge due to the high amount of paranormal/alien activity that occurs there. Fuse could potentially see this activity as a threat, as we already have examples such as the meteoric ore used to slow fusion matter infection sent from a UFO--as seen in the "SACT Attack" mission arc. It's possible that the Boarbulls' territorial instincts are being used to intercept any outside help Earth may receive, if not by deterring spacecraft from landing in the area, then by keeping Earthlings from trying to make direct contact/collect supplies.
The evolved form of this monster, Boarbills, are even more aggressive than the originals already are. They are known for charging into their targets with such force that they can immediately knock a person unconscious, and for also attempting to eat said targets despite not needing food to survive.
Some people have made the mistake of trying to pocket the green gemstones occasionally left behind after a Boarbull is defeated. While connecting materials left behind from fusion monsters is not only a common, but necessary role for research and decontamination efforts. It should also be noted that said materials are toxic. These stones in-particular contain highly concentrated amounts of fusion matter--so higher-ups cannot stress enough that, no, you shouldn't try to sneak off with one to make into a necklace.

I humbly offer these no context screen caps from DL for inspiration ✨
(I'm sorry they are so unhinged LOL)

Ok I did them BUT put them in different contextes (I know which episode these are from I watched it few days ago lmao!)
So, for Dexter nothing too mad, just him wearing a kigurumi Dee Dee got him (asked a recruit to find one his size LMAO).
For Mandark I went as wild as him in the episode so WHAT IF, a mission that is given is that Mandark got missing and you need to find him, you find out Fusion Mandark is behind the whole thing and hunt him to his lair to kick his butt but once you arrive you just find Mandark took care of things himself because you were taking too much. You still get a little reward, but honestly, you could've spend the time just doing something else, like, STOPPING THE FREAKING INVASION??? Welp.

Speaking of Spooky Month, I've always wondered how characters like Skid and Pump, Tankman, and the Hoodie Boys (TM) are able to be in close proximity to Boyfriend and Pico. As Pico's School takes place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (and I assume FNF also takes place there considering Boyfriend and Pico's pre-established relationship)
But Spooky Month is hinted at to take place in Arizona, Madness Combat takes place in Nevada, Eddsworld takes place in London, and while it's never said where Tankmen takes place in, it definitley doesn't take place in Philiy.
I headcanon that Friday Night Funkin' takes place in a "CN City" or "Fusionfall"-like version of Philadelphia. Where, while each Newgrounds series takes place in different places with different rules, laws, and cultures, their places are in close proximity to another so it wouldn't take too long to get from one area to another.
Spooky Month takes place in a small suburban town not too far from the city area, London is a nearby city in a area bordering Pennsylvania (ala Camden, New Jersey), Tankman takes place in Philly's "outskirts", etc.
It could all just be summed up with cartoon/crossover logic but eh, it's fun to think about.

Do your favorite Ed, Edd and Eddy character for the ask game. Or Mr Otacon. Or both. Have a nice day!
get double dee’d lol
favorite thing about them: canonically loves organizing things. like hell yeah bro that’s unironically so fun.
least favorite thing about them: WHAT THE FUCK DOES HIS HAIR LOOK LIKE. fusionfall is usually where i go for better design reference for more stylized human characters but even though he’s the only ed who looks okay in the anime style there is still no sign of what his hair looks like under there. help.
favorite line: the ladybug scene. all of it.
brOTP: the eds! all three of them. fucked up and evil that some ppl only ship two of them together bc while i just like them as friends they are a TRIO and should not be separated.
OTP: i genuinely need to know what it is that possessed everyone into exclusively liking edd/marie and none of the other kanker sister pairings. probably just the fact that weird somewhat mean goth girls are cool and also they probably have the most normal dynamic out of the three duos.
nOTP: i do not like kevedd. i will never like kevedd. doesn’t even have the potential to be an enemies to lovers thing or whatever and also it reeks of 2000s yaoi paddle anime fan “big strong scary boy/weak wimpy girly boy” to me.
random headcanon: transes their gender somehow after the events of the show. nonbinary edd and girl edd both work. they’re still double dee though.
unpopular opinion: i don’t get eddeddy? i'm sorry but like i said before it feels weird to just leave ed out and also the two of them don’t have any special chemistry that they don’t have with ed… they’re all best friends?
song i associate with them: idk… i feel like saying cul-de-sac is cheating since it’s (technically) about eene, so i don’t really have one.
favorite picture of them:

this is my go-to edd image for colorpicking. he looks so silly here.

FusionFall Headcanons: Dexter and the PPGs
Been in a FusionFall mood and thinking about the fanfic I'm never going to write. So thought I'd try to jot down these thoughts.
And since this post is pretty long, I'll put this all under a cut.
☆ In General, I think that Dexter and the Powerpuff Girls are very familiar with each other. I've always believed the two shows existed in the same universe anyway, so I'd imagine the two crossed paths every once in a while.
☆ Dexter met the girls when a giant monster was stomping around his neighborhood. Let's say everyone involved is around 12 years old; so after Dexter's Lab ended AND long after the PPGs left kindergarten.
The girls hit the scene, just in time to see Dexter's giant robot, Robo-Dexo 2000, putting a monster in a headlock. Turns out, the Dexter came from space looking for Dexter specifically. Something about a prior conflict.
The girls met proper and Dexter began fanboying for a few moments. The Powerpuff Girls are famous superheroes after all. Dexter tries to smugly brag bout his own adventures, but Buttercup quickly blows him off and tells him they need to go. Blossom thinks she's being rude, but she IS right, they need to get going.
After this encounter, the four of them begin meeting up more frequently. Not to the point where they work together regularly, but Dexter does swing around Townsville to analyze monster residue and stuff and maybe to show off his latest and greatest monster fighting mech to...various effects. (In the original series, Dexter is supposedly 8 years old, so it's been 4 years since the series ended. He's gotten better at inventing machines, but in Dexter fashion, sometimes, things just go a bit wrong.)
☆ Dexter, naturally, is also a big fan of Professor Utonium. He reads a lot of his articles and listens to plenty of his articles. Utonium, in turn, is pretty surprised to see someone so young with an interest in science AND can understand his heavily advanced findings.
☆ One time, while in Townsville, Dexter helped Mojo Jojo on a machine. Mojo was able to see Dexter has a massive ego problem and used that to get him to help. Thankfully, Dexter hasn't grown out of putting self destruct buttons on all of his inventions and, well...
☆ Dexter & Blossom hit it off very well. Blossom has grown an appreciation for science after her father, and is thus able to keep up with Dexter. When the two start dating at age 16, it's not immediately public; Blossom is more or less a celebrity and she's smart enough to know that, no, you DON'T want your relationship public.
☆ DeeDee LOVES teasing Dexter about his relationship with Blossom. Dexter, in turn, is easily riled up. Despite her teasing, Dexter often goes to her for romantic advice-it usually backfires, but DeeDee usually knows it will, but it'll be cute.
☆ Bubbles likes going all mushy when talking about Blossom and Dexter together. Blossom finds it mildly annoying, but Bubbles is being harmless.
☆ Buttercup doesn't like Dexter dating her sister. At all. But as long as he doesn't do anything to hurt her, then she won't lobotomize him with her laser vision from space. Blossom knows that despite Buttercup's sour attitude, she's just being protective and if the roles were reversed, she'd feel the same way.
☆ Dexter & Bubbles initially had a very rocky relationship. Bubbles is so similar to DeeDee, who get along well with her, that Dexter was apprehensive. But, thankfully, Bubbles respects Dexter's space and doesn't wreck his lab at every chance, so they're neutral-positive. Early on, Blossom & Buttercup have to keep Dexter in check and stop him from saying something he'd regret to their "baby" sister, but over the years, the two are good friends.
☆ Dexter & Buttercup have a love-hate relationship. The two are always butting heads. Buttercup thinks Dexter's a know-it-all (which he is, let's be real) and Dexter thinks Buttercup's bullheaded and stubborn (which, again, she is). The two only get along in their mutual love for fighting giant monsters and video games. Both of them are sore losers. Blossom thinks that the two of them are too similar to be left alone for too long.
☆ With his lab no longer a secret with DexLab industries, Blossom helps Dexter to rub elbows with all sorts of Superheroes, including Major Glory. Major Glory does not recognize Dexter, or DexStar, but apparently keeps regular contact with DeeDee (aka Diva Dynamite...KABOOOM). Blossom likes to occasionally tease Dexter on this, much to his frustration.
