I was thinking about how so many of those with power and authority in the Wasteland are referred to not only by their title, but with an honorific 'the'. So we have The Immortan Joe, The Red/Great/Dark/etc Dementus, and further down there's The People Eater, The Bullet Farmer, The Organic Mechanic, The Octoboss, The History Man. Even some of Joe's trusted subordinates carry this honorific, as the first time we're introduced to Jack he's the Praetorian Jack.

Going back to Fury Road, the same goes for most of the women whom Joe kept locked up in his harem, with a little variation. The Splendid Angharad, Toast the Knowing, The Dag, Cheedo the Fragile.

All of which made me think about Furiosa, who's tried for years upon years to escape the world of the Wasteland and service to the warlords; finally both surrendering to and drawing upon what power and authority she's amassed during that service, in order to have a chance at getting her revenge. How she mutters 'Praetorian Furiosa'. And then when she's ignored, she screams

'I am the Praetorian Furiosa!!!'

So we did finally go see Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga I was super excited for this! we loved Fury Road and the trailers for this looked amazing so I was excited to finally go see it.

Now I don't want to say to much about it I don't really want to spoil anything I would have to say the movie is excellent! I did love it. visually it is impressive, The production design, the cinematography everything is visually stunning just the pure scope of the movie itself is I would say breathtaking. I think this and Dune 2 will probably be up for alot of the Technical Awards stuff like cinematography,production design and Editing I would be surprised if it wasn't.

The movie of course is an origin story of Furiosa from when she was a little girl pretty much right up to were we see her in Fury Road I would say there is probably a gap in time between the 2 but it is pretty much that. Also the story is told in chapters I think it is done this way being these are the focal points of her life that lead her to be the person we meet in Fury Road. you meet her as a kid and she is pretty much taken by the warlord Dementus (played by Chris Hemsworth) and he shows her the ways of the Wasteland and then pretty much traded to Immortan Joe and that is how she meets him and grows up there for the most part and then tries to escape but then start driving the "War Rig" I seen some complain that she doesn't speak much throughout the movie and there is a reason for that being she is pretending to be mute through her younger years because they want her to tell them where she is from and later it was to hide among the other workers in The Citadel and during her adult life I feel she only really talks when she needs to. I feel the character is more about "actions speak louder then words"

Now one thing that everyone was talking about was the "War Rig" and the crazy thing on the back called the "bommy-knocker" which I thought was strange being I only ever heard that word once before and it was in a book I remember from my childhood I remember it was a book from elementary school like grade 1 or 2 the character had a mace and he called it a "bommy-knocker" and I thought that is what they were called for the longest time until I found out it was called a mace and when I heard that this thing in the movie was called a "bommy-knocker" it reminded me of that childhood book and the thing in the movie is just that its to large Mace balls on chains that spin around on the back of the rig.

but other then that the action is crazy! the stunts and fights and stuff is a bit gnarly at times like how she looses her arm and that cave she was in with all the body parts and maggots and how she takes out Dementus in the end was kinda "Wow..eww" lol but other then that the action is fast, intense,exciting, violent and absolutely crazy! my only complaint about this movie is I did feel that it was toned down a bit compared to Fury Road that movie was absolutely insane! like this is absolutely crazy but I don't feel that its as crazy as the movie that came before it.

As for the acting I thought it was really great Anya Taylor-Joy was awesome as a younger Furiosa and Alyla Browne was just as awesome as child Furiosa also Chris Hemsworth was amazing Dementus he played a really good villain in this and I thought he was a good villain in general I felt he shined in his villain in this movie and everyone else who played their parts great.

but other then that like I said the movie is excellent! I would say go see it especially if you loved Fury Road.

Now there isn't any special credit scenes but during the credits they kinda do a quick recap of the events of Fury Road which I thought was kinda cool
