When I was growing up, my family had a cat named Meow-Meow and Cinnamon. Meow-Meow got pregnant with a stray in the neighborhood and had 6 kittens. Once they were weened, she was like, "everyone stay away from me, nobody's allowed to touch me." (Understandable, right?)

But the kittens still needed attention. So Cinnamon was like, "come to me, babies, I am your mommy now!" And she literally treated them like they were her babies until we found new homes for them.
