I’ve been kicking around the idea to create a sort of hybrid of Monster High g1 and g3, with a bit of my own aesthetic flare to the core characters! There are still have a few tweaks I want to make but overall I’m really happy with them and I hope you guys like them too.

This is sort of my “proof of concept” for my “ideal” Monster High doll line – the g1 head / face sculpts combined with the g3 bodies and a slightly more detailed face paint style.

I do really love g3 a lot. Obviously I’m a huge fan of the improved articulation, larger scale, and sturdiness of the bodies. I actually do like the new headsculpts and even prefer the screening style of the eyes! But there is something so beautifully detailed and magical about Lily Martinez’s sculpts. They’re very “bjd meets bratz” in a way, with features that are both delicate and exaggerated.

Everyone got makeup and hair refreshes to make them a bit more glam and I had so much fun getting to work with each of the characters.

Noelle, the Christmas Punk, my latest doll custom made to cheer myself up during a miserable Christmas, and the way I found out that making tiny doll stockings from old tights is actually hell

I’m lucky I got tiny baby sized hands otherwise it would have been impossible!

Enjoy my lighting fast photoshoot cause I got too cold, and then Noelle will be tucked away in a box until Christmas next year.

Although I'm not fond of those weird proportions of Monster High/Ever After High dolls, I thought I needed just one more older doll. Since I already got OOAK Ever After High doll I thought a 2nd generation Monster High girl would be a good idea. And so I ended up with a second hand Frankie Stein. I don't have her original How Do You Boo? First Day of School outfit but that's not a problem. I got her Draculaura's top and boots and red handmade leggings. She also looks nice in that maxi skirt I made a long time ago. I had to correct her lips a bit because the paint was applied unevenly. I'm pretty satisfied with what she looks like now.
