I need Dale to end his "stalking Hazel" arc with a kidnapping; I need him to do it so bad. <- Man who is slowly becoming a mirror of his abuser about to make A Mistake™ by kidnapping someone who will actually be missed and sought after and fought for as opposed to when Dale himself went missing and received a lukewarm response once discovered by his dad ages later.

Did it hurt? When Vicky got off scot-free for locking you underground for 7 years and you slowly shriveled into a husk of the child you once were, but when you start down the same path and people notice, you can't play the game like she played it; can't manipulate like she did, and now there are consequences for your actions and there's no coming back from this?

sometimes i hate the whole rule of "don't include details in your writing that your audience doesn't need to know" because sometimes i really want to just write my characters being human. like, stuttering and fumbling a word or sentence so bad they just have to stop and go "wow." and have the other characters laugh with them about it, or have their mind get so wildly sidetracked that they go "--wait, what was i thinking about? what was i doing? oh right", or fiddling with something and dropping it and scrambling to catch it, miss it and pretend it never happened before awkwardly picking it up. or, hell, laughing at a stupid comment in their head, trying to salt their food and the whole fucking lid coming off, pausing and forgetting what the other person was talking about because they saw a cute dog and completely tuned them out, having a serious conversation and being interrupted by a cat, I could go on and on. but no it'll distract the reader, and i get it, i understand, but man sometimes do i just want to write silly little inconveniences or joys into my story that have no real meaning other than sprinkling some more humanity into my darlings, to just show that theyre going through their day to day life too. its not all trauma i promise, sometimes there's a cute kitty in the window and you gotta almost run into a pole over it, or skid on the icy sidewalk you didnt know was glare ice, or be mesmerised by a really messed up blinking store sign, or see a really cool bird and point it out to your friends, you know?

For an actually good Kirby movie idea that still has the mandated "relatable real person": Kirby's clash with Eifilis (which takes place on Shiver Star) causes Kirby to be sent back in time to when Earth was Earth, leading to Kirby making friends with a struggling autistic kid. Kirby, wanting to make sure his new friend stays alive, brings him into the future... Unfortunately, this kid was important to the future of Kirby, being the basis of Zero's negative energy, so Kirby is faced with a dilemma: fix his present, and cause the kid to suffer, or sit in an unfamiliar future, with a friend whose no longer in pain.

Ooh, I think you've got something GOOD going here! In combination with @newthinkerer’s “Kirby movies by decade” this feels like a movie plot that really could have happened! (Give or take the use of the Forgotten Land and Elfilis as major plot points, which would otherwise necessitate it as a “newish” thing.)

Now, I'm a child of the 80s >w> so I can easily envision this as an undiscovered 2D animated movie of that era, in the vein of like, the Rainbow Brite movie, that ends up with surprising amounts of heart despite also playing a little fast and loose with canon! (And experiences a revival in light of the terrible Hollywood Kirby! XD)

It would probably also have a weirdly catchy earworm of an ending song that would have the hardcores combing through used stores and internet archives trying to find the cleanest rip of... (COUGH)

Listen half these lyrics sound like they COULD come from a Kirby movie!!

You know I think there is something interesting to say in terms of where the fuck WxS is going because like

I think WxS is the only unit where the end goal or overall progression is probably the most unknown out of all of them ???

MMJ and VBS are extremely obvious, they both have the most explicit goals that are said to us in a straightforward way

25-ji, in the end we know the main goal at the end will be for all of the characters to go over their hurdles with Mafuyu finally being able to find herself and move forward

Leo/need is probably the closest in terms of vagueness but we know the end goal is clear for them to grow as a band, probably ending in a big concert or something along those lines

But with WxS...like I guess the closest thing I can see to an end goal is all of WxS preparing a show together with everyone playing their part but that definitely doesn't feel like something you'd build up for an entire arc and definitely not something that feels fitting after the emotional turmoil that was the disbandement arc ???

In terms of physical achievements as well they literally revived an entire parc through one gigantic show, so it just comes into question what they can do now.

Then you look at their first few event for this arc considering usually the first event kinda set up what will be planned for the future but it's...weird.

Yeah, Tsukasa and Rui's events set up they're inexperienced and how they will grow in the future but also there is this weird feeling of something feeling off ?

The plays/scripts all are strangely depressing, the play in Tsukasa's event being about a failed writer planning to drown himself (which I believe is one of the only undeniable explicit description of suicide ever in the game?????) and the second being someone whose given up on life meeting their estranged sister only for her to become ill.

We even have Emu's side story in Rui's event where they watched the movie Rin was watching during the event made by the same producer and Emu herself note how depressing the story is (meanwhile the main character of the movie clearly parallels Rui)

We don't see the conclusion of these in-game stories as well, lingering on their worst moment never really seeing the presumably happy conclusion.

THEN we also have Emukasa fes which....again strangely different in tone from what you'd expect a WxS fes card, they're not really all that conclusive either. Tsukasa never aknowledges how he relates to the brother in the story and Emu doesn't really get a conclusion on her grief.

Then we also have Rui's entire fuckign event with the cards and his cyberpunk deadbo-YOU SEE WHAT IM SAYING

The closest we fucking have to knowing what WxS's fucking endgoal towards the story is, is fucking WL which....TELLS US NOTHING

At least with VBS we know that they're goal is to go even further beyond and conquer the whole world, that is a developpement of their goal.

What I'm saying is I don't know what the fuck colorpalet is cooking wiht WxS but I feel like i'm a fucking twilight zone reading the way they're writing WxS now because I can't be the only one feeling insane at how weird all of this is
