#Foods and Drinks Review

One of my greatest wishes is to get a company or business to ship their stuff or an invite to a restaurant so that I can do a review on them. They are looking for as many bloggers who do reviews as they can get, but only the ones with decent or large numbers of followers, which is understandable. I am truly passionate about this, and it's one of the things I'd love to do with my JoshiesWorld website. I've already written several reviews but paid for them, and I'd like to start getting them through them instead. 🤞🏻
If you are a company, business, corporation, restaurant, etc. And be willing to ship something or send an invite to the place (such as a restaurant or service). Here's a link for more info. https://www.joshiesworld.com/want-your-stuff-or-business-reviewed/

Emei Restaurant - Lunch
915 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107 Phone: (215) 627-2500
In the heart of Philadelphia's vibrant Asian culinary scene, nestled amidst the bustling streets of Chinatown, lay EMei, a culinary sanctuary that had captivated taste buds since its inception in 2011. At its helm stood Master Chef Zhao, a culinary virtuoso with over five decades of dedication to the mastery of Sichuan cuisine.
As the sun peeked through the bustling streets on a Saturday afternoon, My group and I ventured into EMei for a culinary pilgrimage. By 1:00 pm, the restaurant had transformed into a standing-room-only oasis for discerning diners. It was a testament to EMei's reputation as a local treasure, as most of the patrons were of Asian descent, their animated conversations filling the air with a symphony of laughter and culinary enthusiasm.
I settled into my seat, eager to embark on a culinary journey. The menu, a veritable encyclopedia of Sichuan delights, presented an array of tantalizing options. After much deliberation, I succumbed to the allure of the Sichuan Spicy Wontons, a signature appetizer.
Tumblr media
As the wontons arrived at my table, I was greeted by a vibrant symphony of colors and textures. The translucent wonton skins, delicately pinched into intricate shapes, cradled a generous filling of fragrant pork and succulent shrimp. The wontons were submerged in a fiery red sauce that shimmered with the tantalizing promise of Sichuan heat.

With trepidation and anticipation, I lifted a wonton to my lips. The first bite sent a surge of flavor through my taste buds, a harmonious blend of savory, spicy, and slightly numbing. The tender filling melted in my mouth, releasing a burst of umami that left me craving more.
For my main course, I opted for the Chengdu-style Spicy Beef, a dish that had garnered legendary status among EMei's devotees. As the beef arrived at my table, it was a feast for the eyes. Thinly sliced beef, stir-fried to perfection, was smothered in a vibrant sauce that glistened with the fiery glow of Sichuan peppers.
Tumblr media
The beef was fork-tender, each bite a symphony of flavors that danced upon my palate. The heat, while intense, was balanced by a subtle sweetness and a hint of smokiness. The sauce clung to the beef like a silken embrace, enhancing its flavor with every morsel.
As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but marvel at Master Chef Zhao's culinary prowess. His mastery of Sichuan cuisine was evident in every dish, a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft.
As I finished my meal, a sense of contentment washed over me. I had experienced a culinary journey that transcended mere sustenance. EMei had transported me to the heart of Sichuan, where the flavors danced upon my palate and the culinary artistry of Master Chef Zhao left an enduring impression.
In the vibrant tapestry of Philadelphia's culinary scene, EMei stands as a beacon of authenticity, a sanctuary where the flavors of Sichuan cuisine are celebrated with unwavering passion and culinary excellence. It is a destination not to be missed by any true culinary adventurer, a place where taste buds are awakened and culinary dreams are realized.
Tumblr media
Chef Zhao's unwavering passion for his craft was evident in every dish that emerged from EMei's kitchen. With deft hands, he transformed fiery chili oils, fragrant peppercorns, and the finest cuts of fish, meat, and produce into a symphony of flavors that tantalized the senses.
Tumblr media
EMei earned a 4.6-star rating on Google from over 1,400 reviews. EMei sources fresh ingredients daily, solidifying its reputation as the premier destination for Asians and Americans seeking authentic and flavorful Asian cuisine.
The service was haphazard with menu items not coming out at the same time, but our waiter was most accommodating which more than made up for the haphazard service.
Overall Emei Restaurant's authentic and flavorful Asian cuisine, large portions and reasonable prices makes Emei Restaurant a great choice for your next afternoon adventure.

Every time I have to settle for Wendy's over the restaurant I was planning to go to, I'm shunted into a fucking circus and my chances of escaping with a semblance of edible food is a toss up.

Dr Pepper Review
Dr Pepper is an inspiration, drinking a cold glass/bottle/can/cup of this brown mystery liquid makes you think anything is possible if something like this can exist. It has the flavor of everything and nothing. It claims to have 23 flavors yet I taste only one, hope. Dr Pepper provides the best evidence that humans do not exist in the Matrix because I firmly believe no super computer has the ability to program this flavor. The only reason I will not give this drink a 10 is because I believe it is theoretically possible for something to be better, although that beverage has yet to be discovered and if/when it is it will be the last thing man kind experiences because there will be no point to life after consuming it.
My actual review: The flavor of Dr Pepper is something very polarizing (probably the anise?) but to me it is the flavor of pure soda, if you described “soda” to a sketch artist but for flavors they would make Dr Pepper.
9.5/10

Continuing my quest to find a good drink bottled by Orca Beverage Inc. (this one being bottled under the authority of Monarch Beverage Co.), we have Kickapoo Joy Juice, the "Original Dogpatch Recipe."
For those who don't recognize the characters, Kickapoo Joy Juice is from the Li'l Abner comics by Al Capp that ran from the 1930s through the 1970s which spawned cartoons, radio, and television shows (Li'l Abner is one of those forgotten cultural icons, influencing media and society, and coining terms still used in our lexicon today like "double whammy;" Al Capp is one of the unsung heroes of comics, but I digress). The fictional Kickapoo Joy Juice is a super strong moonshine pretty much unfit for human consumption, so this citrus soda is in likeness by name only.
Enough about these cartoon hillbillies you all never heard of! What's the scoop on the juice!
Do you like Mountain Dew? (I don't.) The first couple sips of Kickapoo Joy Juice tastes almost like Mountain Dew, which makes sense because that is definitely what this drink is trying to ape off of (Kickapoo came out in 1965 with Mountain Dew being the much older drink initially released in 1940, and they both use hillbilly moonshine motifs for marketing). Once again I am greeted with sweetness that hurts the back of my throat, this time with the added bonus of making my teeth and tongue feel fuzzy. But I kept going, and for a moment it grew on me, I thought "Hmm... actually, it's not bad. Maybe with some ice it would be better." Eh, it was a little better with ice, but that moment of mercy soon worn off and I have to admit this soda is just not for me. It loses its carbonation rather quickly so now there is no buffer between the saccharine sweetness ("saccharine" here is used as the adjective, as this soda is made with 100% cane sugar). But now I can tell just what makes Kickapoo Joy Juice different from Mountain Dew: it's citrus flavor is grapefruit.
So really it boils down to this: do you find the idea of a Mountain Dew Fresca appealing? Then try Kickapoo Joy Juice. And it's just a fun name to say.
4/10. It's a bit below average and I may be a little more lenient on it due to the Li'l Abner connection. Would I have another one? Not in the immediate future. And at the end of the day isn't that what any company wants to hear about their product?

Thai Milk Tea - No Boba
Rating: 8/10
My Thoughts: This milk tea was a perfect mix of bland (affectionate) and sweetness. It was a really nice blend of this almost nutty flavor with the milky creaminess of the milk portion of the tea, it was very nice. I liked the way the thai taste as well, though its very muted. It's not as sweet as the boba tea company, but it's not as bland as the tiger sugar boba company here in albuquerque. I like this one a lot, and would say it's my second favorite

Review
I recently visited Estia, and I’m so glad I did. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was impeccable. I was impressed with the variety of cuisines available, and the dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection. This place is suitable for a family dinner as well as for a business meeting or business lunch. Estia comes highly recommended from me, and I’m looking forward to going back again soon.
I’m so glad I tried Estia. It was an amazing experience from the moment I walked in the door. The food was just as impressive as the view, and the service was impeccable. I definitely recommend the braised lamb shanks, lamb cutlets, and grilled sea bass. You won’t be disappointed.
